    Texas garlic toast

It has been a while since we last picked up from Copper Hill BBQ. It is a very nice eatery in the Gateway Village shopping center off of Newhall Ranch Road. We placed our order online and received great communication regarding our order via text. Pickup was seemless. The parking lot can be challenging, however they have an ample amount of parking spaces for online order pick-up. We ordered the brisket meal and the tri-tip meal. Both meats were tender, lean and very flavorful. We enjoyed the smoked baked beans and the creamy mashed potatoes. The Texas garlic toast is thick and not very flavorful to me. We look forward to trying some of the salads and chicken next time. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating and a well orgaized to-go counter.

Delicious Bbq! Friendly staff & Great Service and the restaurant is nice and clean! The Tri tip sandwich and brisket plate were good! And don't forget to add Nana's Nana Pudding to your order! Glad to have some delicious bbq in Canyon Country.

I ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich with baked beans on the side and the nana puddin' for dessert. The brisket sandwich was excellent. Tender, smoky, and piled high with plenty of flavor in every bite. The meat was juicy without being overly sauced, letting the brisket speak for itself. The baked beans were a great side, rich and hearty with that classic barbecue sweetness that pairs perfectly with smoked meat. I finished with the nana puddin', and I'm glad I saved room. Creamy, smooth, and packed with that homemade comfort food flavor. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was friendly throughout my visit. Everything came out fresh and hot. If you're looking for solid barbecue and a great dessert to finish things off, this place is definitely worth a stop.

This is one of the best BBQs I have tried in SoCal so far. The drive is worth it. The service is great, and the price is pretty fair.

This place is very popular and for good reason. I've been trying to eat here for some time and every time I've shown up, it was very crowded and there was no place to sit down, so I left. This time I showed up at an off hour and boy was it great! I ordered the turkey meatball sub. It was a very large delicious sandwich. It came with a choice of one side order. I selected the mediterranean pasta salad as my side. It was also delicious and they gave me a very generous portion. I will definitely want to eat here again when I'm in the area, but I've learned the trick is to show up at an off hour.

Checked out Copper Hill BBQ today for lunch. Ordered the Tri-tip meal and the two meat combo me, without-tip and Andouille sausage. Tri-tip had a ton of flavor and tender. The Andouille sausage was spicy, juicy and tasted great. Check this place out. There was enough food for a second meal. There were several servers. All were very nice and made recommendations. Loved it. They had seating inside and outside. Both options were welcoming, well stocked and clean. I'm a Diet Coke girly. Lived they had this soda fountain!

Quality bbq with attentive service. Can't beat that. From the brisket, to the ribs, to the tri tip...finger licking good. Baked beans had a deep smokiness and Texas toast yum! Pesto was a great side dish and the caesar salad was light and fresh. Friendly server checked in on us more than once too! Check out Copper Hill if you're in the mood for some delicious eats.

Ehhhhh. If I was rating this based on being barbecue I'd give it 3 stars. My husband and I have been wanting to try this for a while since the reviews are so good. We went without our kids which already puts us at an advantage since we were able to eat peacefully. :) We ordered the turkey, tri tip, Mediterranean salad, baked beans, banana pudding, and garlic toast. Everything tasted clean and as though it was made with care. But it wasn't slap you mama good. Like if I went to an American dinner and this was served I'd say, ok that was decent. But there was not any of the grimy down home taste that we like when eating bbq. It certainly wasn't bad, it just didn't scratch the bbq itch if that makes sense. He did really like the banana pudding though. It's more light and fluffy with real bananas in it. He said that's a sign that they make it fresh because the bananas weren't browned. The service was great though. In a time when restaurants are cutting back on staff and having one person take orders and cook, it was great to see that they weren't trying go cut corners and were fully staffed. They checked in with us and made sure that we had what we needed. That bumped them up by half a star or so. Now that our expectations are set, we want to go back and give it another go by trying some other things.

Great food and super nice Staff ensure that your dining experience will be top-notch. I needed to try out the restaurant because I have a catering event coming up and they have great pricing. We liked it so much. We went back with our family to enjoy another dinner. They have ample seating inside a few tables outside and they will come and check in with you to make sure everything is fine. Super clean and plenty of parking. I recommend this place for all occasions.

Ok another successful lunch at CBBQ! Food was excellent and fresh! We had the chicken bowl with snap peas, roasted corn, black beans, feta cheese, and chimichurro sauce over cilantro rice. Wow!!! The owner, Lori is always so hospitable with the patrons. Place was quiet right after the lunch rush so the atmosphere was relaxing and not hectic! Love this place!

Yes, they should be opening somewhere around the end of summer at the second location!!!! And, yes, it's in the new shopping center on Sand Canyon and Soledad. So excited to have Copper Hill BBQ even closer to home!!!

However, our visit in January of 2026 was the absolute last straw. I've been completely turned off, will no longer support this location, and don't plan to ever return. When we stopped in, the place was practically empty, yet almost every bar seat was blocked off. Dirty napkins, silverware, and abandoned drinks. I believe purposely left there to keep people from sitting down ( why else wouldn't it be cleaned up?) It was really weird. We managed to find a couple open spots, but the vibe was way off from the start. Beyond the bar top being a disaster, behind the bar was gross. It was a complete mess with dairy products sitting out, jugs of olives and fruit left opened, and dirty glasses and blenders... No wonder there were so many bar flies! As for the bartender, I'm not even sure why he showed up for work. I watched him stand and chat at a high top table with a customer for 10-12 minutes straight while drink tickets were visibly coming out of the machine and completely ignored. It's sad to see a place we supported for so long fall apart.

It's like $15 more than the sandwich. I said it was fine and they gave us some buns. She seemed annoyed and that kind of ruined my meal a little...partially my fault. When food arrived and I said it was fine, she just left. We didn't hit utensils. I waited 5-10 minutes and she was still in the back. I got up and got them myself. 15 minutes later, the table next to me also got the food and no utensils. That should one of the first things they improve on. The sauces were very good and I loved that part of the restaurant. It was pretty quite and calm atmosphere. They have a full bar. The bill came and it was $200 plus tip. My kids had a kids plate and another adult plate. It's pricey. We didn't want to go to a chain to support our local spots. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
