I've had Copper Hill BBQ on a few occasions for takeout, but for some reason I forgot how delicious it was until a recent visit. It's a fast casual type setting where you order at the counter and then find a seat. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The meats: the brisket is the way to go. It is flavorful and so tender and had the perfect little fat cap to it. I'm also a fan of the tri tip and chicken, which are both less fatty (obviously), but still delicious. The sides: We tried the street corn salad and I was wow-ed at how good it was. The mashed potatoes were solid. The Texas toast was full of garlic and butter. Honestly, everything tasted great. The kids meals: any restaurant that has a kids meal that my kids will eat and enjoy is a winner for me. On top of that, the kids meals are such a deal for the amount of food we got. The kids inhaled the mac and cheese and also really enjoyed the St. Louis ribs. The rib meat was fall off the bone tender, which made it easy to cut into small pieces. They keep a bottle of BBQ sauce at each table, but we asked if they only served one kind and we found out they have a spicy BBQ sauce, too, which was even better. The food came out relatively quickly and everything tasted really freshly made. The service was excellent. They were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. OK, so I should've made a review the first time we came because it was fantastic. But now we've come back again and I'm even more impressive the second time so yeah, it's really that good. Brisket was on point melted like butter in my mouth. The pastrami was absolutely amazing so flavorful and again like butter. Sides were great mashed potatoes with a little skin, a little chunky and for me that made all the better. So far, I haven't tried anything that wasn't really good. As far as the staff goes, they are super friendly, and super helpful, and the owner Kevin really knows how to run a business. Comes to every table checks in on you and goes out of his way to really make your meal fantastic! Decided to try this place and was pleasantly surprised by the portions and the taste. I had a two meat combo with ribs, brisket and coleslaw. The meat was very tender and the coleslaw was really good too. We ordered a side of Mac n cheese- it was delicious and a side of brussel sprouts, they lacked flavor. Went here for the 1st time on Friday night after trying their BBQ salad at a Christmas party and loving it while also hearing good things about this place. So we finally made our way there and were pleasantly surprised! Along with the awesome staff and service, the food was delicious. My husband is VERY picking when it comes to restaurants so for him to rave about it is a really good sign. I especially loved the kitchen staff singing out loud to their favorite songs. I went here on my birthday and it had great reviews as for a country bbq style place. The service, was the best I have had in several years. Friendly, straight to the point and quick. The style of ordering and paying first as it was when fresh works, another chain in the past was incurring. The service speed was about 3 minutes after ordering heaps of food. Bbq ribs, brisket and salads. The food was made immediately in advance to keep up with the customers orders. Refills without asking, napkins and utensils provided and bbq sauce were all given immediately. The indoors is small, interior was tinier than what I expected. It could fit maybe 25 people in the dining area. The owner was there so I would assume the employees were on their toes. The food itself was delicious, decadent and warm. The quality and pricetag was reasonable and overall, a great place to eat bbq country style food if you're in the mood for it. Overall, I recommend coming here, I enjoyed it more than other chains like wood ranch personally and definitely better than stone fire grille. It probably is the best bbq place to eat in my city if that's your thing. Otherwise it's a niche for people who really enjoy this type of food. Pictures for reference will be shown. Delighted not disappointed with the food. Pork ribs were savory and delicious and definitely tender. Chicken had a wonderfully infused smoky flavor that was juicy and perfect. Tri tip was fantastic. Brewed tropical iced tea, a Texas toast that holds its own and sides that are just as good as the main entrees (I like the baked beans especially) - there is no detail forgotten. Everything was well thought out and matched the caliber of the bbq. The staff really paid attention to us and ensured we had a great experience. I just returned from my first experience at Copperhill BBQ on Newhall Ranch Road in Santa Clarita. VERY pleased with the food and the service. A friend of mine had recommended the brisket, but I ordered the pulled pork. (I'm a sucker for pulled pork.) Luckily, Kevin (the owner's son), brought us a sample of the tri-tip and brisket and I do have to say, the brisket certainly WAS amazing and I was regretting ordering the pulled pork...until it arrived. It was yummy too!!! Very tender. I appreciated the array of sides to choose from and went with the brussels sprouts, as they are my favorite. But my friend had the mashed potatoes and he was very pleased with them. It's a casual, order-at-the-counter type place with both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is limited though. But we were lucky and got the last table as it was peak lunch time. When we left, rush hour had past, so there was more available seating. Let me start off by saying I am not a BBQ aficionado. I simply know if I like something or not. We have had the tri-tip, brisket, and St. Louis ribs. All are delicious and tender. The bbq sauce is a great blend of tangy and sweet. The mashed potatoes are creamy and yummy, and I love the pickles. I am not a big fan of the texas toast. The staff are extremely friendly. We usually phone in an order and pick it up. They text you when your order is ready. It is always busy and easy to navigate. There is plenty of parking even though it is a busy shopping center. I appreciate the consistency of the food. The meal portions are enough for 2 meals. We still need to try the salads. This eatery is a cashless business. So they take credit cards or digital payments. The service was incredible. Everyone was so kind and helpful. However, the brisket was questionable. They are selling it as "smoked meat" but my order was a soggy mess. It looked more like it was slow cooked in a crockpot. It was unlike I've seen at any BBQ place and more like what I make at home without a smoker. The cut of brisket lacked marbling where you see large streaks of fat across the brisket. There was fat content throughout which reminded me of a different cut. Also, it was served in small 3 inch by 2 inch slides and not the way brisket is typically served with long pieces. I suspect they subbed a different cut of meat for brisket. Overall, the brisket was flavorful but I suspect it was not smoked nor brisket. read more

The whole family came here for a dinner out and it was amazing. We ordered an individual pasta (huge), two sandwiches, and a tortilla soup. They were so helpful in securing a table for us when our order was ready. We loved the pasta and I thought the soup was amazing! There were lots of options for side and we enjoyed our choices of potatoes and slaw. The service was excellent - lots of different people checking on us to see that we had what we needed. We ended the night with two of their dessert bars. They are only $4 each and huge. We had so much leftover for the next day(s). We had 2 sides as well, mashed potatoes and the spicy slaw. The Sandwiches were huge, and absolutely Delicious! The Spicy Slaw is so yummy, and has a kick. We were in the area for a facial and decided to look for a place for lunch. A quick check on yelp and this fantastic place came up. Boy am I happy it did! First, the dining area isn't very big, but it is extremely clean and you can tell they took their time with all the decorations. I love that they incorporated copper into the actual decor. The staff are some of the kindest, most helpful people I've come across and customer service. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She was very friendly, helpful and working her tail off like the rest of her staff. You can see that she leads by example. Now for the food! I had the pulled pork meal with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and Texas toast. My husband had the tri-tip and brisket meal with mac & cheese. We ordered extra sides to try. We had the garlic lemon green beans and potatoes and rajas dish. We both thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal. Every single item was delicious. Now for the star of the place! Their banana pudding is by far the best I've ever had! The flavor, texture and taste were all above average. I'd definitely be going back and bring our family to join us. I tired Copper Hill BBQ for the first time the other day. I am glad that Santa Clarita has added another BBQ restaurant since we already have too many of the other restaurants. I tried the BBQ Brisket sandwich with a side of smoked baked beans, and I added a slice of the Texas toast. I thought the BBQ Brisket sandwich was really good. The brisket was very tender, and had plenty of favor. The roll it was served on wasn't hard, which I liked. The smoked baked beans were good, not great. The beans did have good flavor, but I wasn't crazy about the peppers that were kind of stringy (I'd prefer them chopped), but overall it was good. The Texas toast was okay, it seemed like it was sitting under the heat lamp a little too long, which made the bread a bit hard. I'd recommend the Texas toast be made to order, so the customer always get's a fresh slice. The staff was very nice & accommodating to the customers. They were busy, and the staff did a wonderful job helping out the customers and not appearing overwhelmed. The lobby area is a little tight, and there isn't really a spot to sit and wait for your food if you ordered takeout. On the flip side, they do send you a text to let you know your food is done, if you wanted to wait in your car. The dining area wasn't super huge, but it seemed perfect for the number of people dining in. I would also recommend adding a spicy BBQ sauce for customers that like the sauce, but with more of a kick (maybe they had it, but I didn't see it). Overall, Copper Hill BBQ was really good. We were in town for my godsons hockey game and this place was so close to the rink. I ordered the Brisket with mashed potatoes and texas toast and he ordered the Tri tip mac and cheese texas toast. The texas toast was so flavorful. Omg. I need more. The staff was so helpful. I think the owner was there too. She checked on us a few times and recommended banana pudding. Amazing. Really amazing barbecue, and I highly, highly recommend! We had 2 orders of the 1/2 pound smoked brisket meal with sides of creamy mashed potatoes and street corn salad. We also ordered the kid version mac and cheese. Smoked Brisket: My oh my, it was heaven on a plate! I definitely enjoyed eating it and will be coming back for more. I love the way it was seasoned but not overly powering. They also have barbecue sauce on the side which has a nice smooth flavour to it. Creamy Mashed Potatoes: It was surprisingly good! Usually I find mashed potatoes just ok, but this one was very addicting. It was a garlicky and creamy, definitely a hit at our table. Street Corn Salad: I did enjoy this salad, but I must say that I'm not too familiar with cotija cheese. It did have a bit more pungent flavour than I'm used to. Regardless, I can appreciate it. Mac and Cheese: Yummy in my tummy! It's a very simple dish, but the cheeses they used were so good it's hard to resist! Service was really good. They did check on us a few times, and the owner even stopped by herself to check on us as well. I do have to mention that this is a cashless place, so make sure to bring your card. First time trying the Copper Hill and it's a cute, small fast casual restaurant. You have staff greeting you right when you walk in and to the right you can find indoor seating. I had the bowl which you may customize and I chose rice, chicken, chipotle sauce and veggies such as red peppers, corn, bean and onions. The bowl was a perfect size I do think the chicken portion was a small amount compared to the rest of the bowl, only downside but the chipotle sauce had a perfect kick! Some other orders we got were the tri tip bowl, pulled pork meal and tri tip meal which everything was overall good, although the baked beans added as a side dish wasn't a fan favorite.
