Glad to have something new and good in Lake Wylie - 1st visit today for lunch- service was great- atmosphere was nice and spot was clean. Had the pretzel cheese appetizer that was heavenly and a salad with grilled chicken - neither came from a bag - everything on the salad was super fresh and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My husband had a buffalo chicken wrap and gobbled up the entire thing. Okay. Now, you have GOT to visit this place. I was pleasantly surprised. And I gave this place FIVE STARS. I NEVER give five stars. That's saying something! We visited there last night for a volleyball season-ending dinner. We were part of a group of about 30 folks. This restaurant is unassuming as you drive by. It's just a common, ordinary building from the street. Once you step inside, though, you WILL BE impressed. This place is clean, has sophisticated decor, and the most eclectic food I've seen in a while. They also have outdoor seating. And out there, there is a fire pit, a horseshoe throwing area, and a large beach volleyball area. There are large screen TVs throughout the restaurant - inside and out - which provide coverage of more than just sports. So the moms can get catatonic with their crafts while the dads watch their sports. Let's talk about their food. Man, oh, man is their food GOOD! I ordered the brussel sprouts. These were no ordinary brussel sprouts. You will fall in love with your vegetables after trying these. My friends ordered a hamburger, the salmon, a pizza, and a salad. All orders were generous portions and everyone remarked that the food was exceptionally fresh tasting. This place is impressive. And it shows because they stay busy all week. read more

This has been THE go-to place for my husband and me for quite a few years now. We have joined friends and family for many occasions and have tried most of the items on the menu. We have never had a bad meal. Some of our favorites include redneck eggrolls, shrimp or mahi tacos, big fat gyro, and our "healthy" option the salmon salad. I am a little picky about some condiments but they have never blinked an eye when I want something on the side or left off altogether. We just stopped by on our way home from Charlotte and, as always, Mary K. took very good care of us. She is so friendly (such a great smile) and attentive to every detail. The Good, The Bad, The Weird at Copper Premium Pub: The Good - Excellent draft beer selection. Waitress (Brooke) was really on the ball and brought out 4 IPA samples to make a choice. No complaints there! One of two fish tacos was very good (see the Bad for the other)... that was the shrimp taco. The shrimp was tender and lightly breaded, with cole slaw and a spicy sauce that really worked. Irresistible. The Bad - On the other hand, the blackened Mahi fish taco was bland and dry. Needs some work, didn't come with the variety of flavors described in the menu. The Weird - Strange for a bar to have a food menu but not a beer list. That would have been helpful in ordering, although as mentioned above the waitress made it work. Overall a good first-time visit and will probably be back. Lunch crowd was pretty packed on a Thursday and that in itself is a good sign. read more

We have been waiting to try this place because it is always packed; we finally got the chance on Monday night, Oct. 3, 2016. I really didn't know what to expect because honestly, we needed a good place to eat in Lake Wylie BAD so I thought maybe it was mediocre but the best of the area based on the competition. I was wrong. As I say in many of my reviews, I base the review on what it is 'supposed to be'. Copper is not fine dining, it is very good casual dining. Our visit started out a wee bit rough as after we were seated outside on the patio (our request, weather was perfect), it was well over 10 minutes before anyone came by or took our drink order. A waitress that wasn't even handling our section (later found out it was Belinda - super sweet girl), came over and asked if anyone had waited on us and took our drink and app order and apologized for our wait. While she was getting our drinks, another girl showed up (apparently who should have showed up 15 minutes earlier) and we told her someone already took our order. Belinda was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu and offered suggestions when asked based on what she liked, which is what I want to hear from the wait staff at any establishment. She gave genuine glowing reviews of some of her favorites which just made us want to try them more! The menu had a variety of enticing selections, which we will be back to try in the near future. I also want to mention - this may be odd - but if you eat al fresco at a lot of restaurants the seating is at best wobbly and uncomfortable unless you are a child. The seating outside is VERY comfortable - the chairs fit well under the table and were way better than the resin plastic fair or broken down outdoor stools you get at a lot of places (hint hint, down the street on the water...) We had the 'Redneck Egg Roll' appetizer - collard greens and Tasso ham in an egg roll with two dipping sauces - a tangy cream sauce as well as a sweet chili sauce. Both were very good and the egg rolls were cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed this app and would definitely order it again. I ordered the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes. Let me preface by saying I have had some of the best crab cakes in Maryland, as well as in a 5-star restaurant in LA. So these were not the best I have ever had, which would be nearly impossible outside of Maryland, but as far as the Carolina Piedmont, they probably were the best I have had. They had plenty of crabmeat and were huge portions. So much so that I could not finish the dish. The fried green tomatoes were also good, they had a corn relish and goat cheese - loved that. My bf had shrimp and grits, also a rather risky choice at a new place for a southerner because not everybody does them right. They were very good - the right amount of andouille sausage, spice (not too much and not too little) and good-sized shrimp. He loved it. I liked it - I would have liked the grits to have been that more super-creamy style, I guess they are stone ground or something? At any rate, the dish was very good. We were just out for a bite, didn't imbibe on any spirits, wine or beer but the bar was inviting and there was a little biergarten complete with a big grassy area where they were going to set up gaming. The patio had a corn-hole area and there was a dad playing with his kids there and a couple kids were running around in the grassy area. Just right to be able to watch them and not have them bother other diners; as long as it doesn't get overrun with kids to the point of ruining others' dining experience, I think it is great. I really liked the whole remodel and set-up. So glad you are in Lake Wylie, we will be back! Update: I've seen and heard many bad things about the owners, the way the behave in front of and towards guests... not cool. The most recent time we visited, we did feel annoyed by some overly comfortable/haughty wannabes at the end of the bar (close to entrance). Not sure if that's who that was but they appeared to be on the 'ins' with the establishment. I was watching because outside the older man standing and making himself heard/known, one girl was pregnant and I was hoping she wasn't drinking. Will still try it again but hopefully these people don't ruin their own place by only catering to their redneck wannabe friends and really create a customer-service driven atmosphere. Again, thus far we've enjoyed it; just disheartened and these varied disparaging comments about the owners' crass rudeness to some guests. read more

Moved to the area from Chicago about a month ago and was starting to get seriously concerned that we were going to have a sports bar/casual restaurant nearby with good food. Had dinner at Cooper Premium last night and WOW!! They blew away everywhere else we have tried. The food was outstanding!! Hubs had the gyro and it may have been the best lamb I have ever tasted...(I believe the owners are Greek?). I had the fish and chips and they were delicious, with a very unique cornflake batter that was sooo good and not greasy at all. Lots of great craft and regular beers to choose from, very reasonably priced. We also had absolutely wonderful service from Kirsten on the awesome patio, despite the place being packed by the time we left. So excited to have this great restaurant nearby, we will be regulars!! read more

Dont be in a hurry. Took awhile to sit on a Saturday night and they were short staffed. Took a long time to get the drinks we ordered. Once we were sat and ordered, we received someone else's appetizers. The fried green tomatoes were pretty good. We ordered the fried pickles and Redneck egg rolls. Both were very good and the egg rolls were collard greens and ham. Our table had chicken and waffles, crab cakes and the tacos. All of the food was very good. The outside area is a great set up. Once they figure out what is bar area and what is seating and staff up we will try it again. read more

They're food is ok. They have a nice out door covered and uncovered patio- it is not dog friendly. According to the hostess their other location is dog friendly but on hey 49, no animals. I'm pretty respectful of others opinions if they want dos there or not. I've just never had another bar with completely outside seating refuse a calm dog. O well, very confusing. My daughter and I had lunch with my grandchildren and we loved it. Their menu is great and they have a great waitstaff. When we arrived there was a short wait and we were seated. I visited Copper Premium Pub while in S.C. For a long weekend visiting some family.The food was good (I recommend the wings, tossed in their signature blackened barbalo sauce), comparable to Beef o' Brady's, except the wings looked like they were grilled instead of fried. The waitress, Breahna, was awesome. The family I was visiting, had recently loved to the area, so we had a few more questions than normal...and Breahna was very polite, and answered everything we asked (including asking to taste multiple wing sauces, and making four/five trips to the bar to inquire about bottles and prices not listed on the menu). Speaking of bottles, very good whiskey selection, some that I haven't seen anywhere else...even in FL where I'm from. I would recommend the Weller Antique or the Bookers Anniversary if it's in stock when you visit. All in all...I'll be back when visiting again read more

French fries were extra good with skin on. The Grecian chicken was good, but if you substitute a side you get a 1.99 ding. I read it, but waitress did not warn us. You should warn folks. Best part is a huge on tap selection of beer, but no list to read at table. Description list would be nice, next visit will try outside area. Inside has a TV within view, so nice for game day.
