Love this beer garden! This cute spot caught my as I was bike riding thru Tampa on a quick weekend away. It was barely 11am, but the place was slammed with locals and tourists alike eager to enjoy the sunshine and prepping for march madness. Started the day with a tiki punch, a signature drink, which was a fruity well balanced treat, and my hubby liked his frozen orange crush. Best part was alllllll the outdoor seating along the water- comfy Adirondacks, some shade, and plenty of turf for kiddos and puppers to run around. Some of the food vendors were still closed since we were there early, but i absolutely loved the vibe and could have spent the whole weekend here. read more

I stopped at Lighthaus prior to taking the Amtrak & really enjoyed my visit. Service was quick and friendly and the bartender helped me decide between two IPAs. My Chicken Caesar Wrap came out quickly and was prepared fresh. The chicken had great flavoring and I enjoyed the house-made dressing. Solid place in Channelside to grab some drinks and food. I was here for a holiday gathering and they had a decent amount of tables available for larger groups. I appreciated the servers checking on our group from time to time. The food itself was solid. I got the sliders and they were a really good size. Much more substantial than a lot of other places. Great location for a beer garden. You have the Riverview on one side and the other have all the little restaurants and stores. They offer a good selection of beer and ciders and other beverages. They have a great section where you can set on the grass with lawn furniture and may be able to catch live music in the Courtyard. This visit the waitress was prompt and checked on us regularly. We were seated in the shaded area and they have misters around the bar to help keep you cool. Bring the kids and the dogs cause families are welcome families here. read more

The charity group I am a member of decided to meet here after touring one of the Starship boats. They grabbed a couple tables in the back, closer to the Victory ship. It is not a really good place for a meeting, lol. There's a lot of noise since it is outside. If I were to come here with a small group for drinks and pizza I think it would be fine. Meeting aside, I think the drink prices are expensive. My cider was $11. It was a regular size beer/cider. I did not have food here. I don't go to Sparkman Wharf much because it is expensive to park and crowded, you don't know if you will get a place to sit and enjoy your food after you purchased it from one of the vendors. If we didn't have a meeting here, I would not have come. If you live somewhere close to the trolley route and can take the trolley it would be more feasible but still, $11 for a cider is stupid money. read more

This brand new beer garden at Sparkman Wharf moved into the Fermented Reality Biergarten location. LightHaus offers a comparable variety of brews on tap and bottled, including hard cider and seltzer. Not much has changed about this location besides the new signage and... PIZZA! That's right, this bar offers pizza and brings it to your table. Staff also visits your table to kindly take refill orders. LightHaus offers some sun and shade, with misting fans and tables with umbrellas. During rain storms seating underneath the roof is limited. The last biz was kind enough to keep a water cooler and cups out for much needed hydration but LightHaus does not and charges for bottled water. New bars and restaurants are popping up at Sparkman Wharf but LightHaus is THE casual, outdoorsy place to be. read more

The bartender did give me a decent pour, all the way to the top of the plastic cup that I even spilled a little bit moving from the large outdoor Biergarden to the astroturf where there's plenty of seats.
