Loved the decor inside, not what I was expecting! We ordered the Numéro Uno, Augustine's special, and queso blanco with brisket. The food was fantastic! My enchiladas were filled with tender chicken, and the Augustine was tender and flavorful. The salsa that came with the chips was a bit tame, so our server kindly brought us some spicier salsa, which was absolutely delicious. He was incredibly attentive, frequently checking on us and refilling our drinks without asking. Even the manager stopped by to introduce himself. We'll definitely be returning and are already planning to try some of their desserts. FYI, they open at 7am for brunch on weekends (added photos of brunch menu) and have happy hour all day on Sundays. Forgot to ask to see the happy hour menu, will post next time! read more

This place is where Lalo's used to be. The decor is darker is a great way. The food was great too. Wonderful choices, including a burger for those who don't like Mexican cuisine. The fresh salsa was smooth and had the right heat for me. We met neighbors for the first time, so the neighborhood is getting behind this new restaurant. Multiple craft cocktails and a good selection of wine. Daniel, our server was very helpful in explaining food preparation and offering suggestions. Prices are family friendly. Definitely worth five stars. I will be returning often. read more

Corazón y Fuego delivered a fantastic dining experience. The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented from start to finish. I ordered the specials with rice and black beans, and it was outstanding. The chile was perfectly cooked with a rich, authentic flavor, while the rice and beans were seasoned just right. We also couldn't resist dessert, and the churros with ice cream were the perfect way to end the meal crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired with a delicious chocolate drizzle. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. We started with the ceviche as an appetizer, and it was amazing! fresh, flavorful, and perfectly citrusy, which is exactly how I like it. My daughter and I shared the chicken fajitas, and they were amazing! The portion was generous and more than enough to leave us full. The beans & rice were here favorite! My husband ordered the ribeye tacos and couldn't stop talking about how good they were. His favorite part was the coleslaw. Came here on a whim after our original spot was fully booked, and I'm so glad we did! This place was nearby and ended up being a great find. The restaurant was clean with a simple, welcoming Tex-Mex ambiance, and the service was excellent. A great addition to the neighborhood! A couple of "hiccups" during service but for the first night being open they were understandable challenges. Very minor - I'm confident they will be easily worked out as business picks up and they get a few extra nights under their belts. The staff: very friendly! The food was solid - I probably won't order the Mexican lasagna again (there's a version I like better at a different restaurant). For me, it was a little too heavy on the queso but too light on the mole. With that said, the fajitas were great. I will 100% go back, but simply try something different next time. The food quality seemed high and cooking technique solid. Inside: the atmosphere feels modern, clean, and colorful. They had live music - maybe just for opening night but it added to the really fun vibe. Be sure to stop in! I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

All of our food was so yummy. Queso Tex Mex was delicious. Chicken enchiladas with chipotle sauce and my husband had the Chela's enchiladas and loved them. He also said the rocks margaritas was really good too. Great service and very cute atmosphere. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend giving them a try!! read more

We went during the soft opening. Great food and great service. We both ordered taco salads with Fajita meat and they were the best taco salads we've had. One of the toppings was a chili sauce and we asked for it to be on the side since we weren't sure of the heat level. It was delicious and we added it to the salad. For dessert we had the Tres Leches cake which was delicious and the portion was generous and could serve 2-3 people. We are looking forward to going back to try some of their other dishes. read more

Not good. My girlfriend and I are looking for a neighborhood place and we can eliminate Corazon y Fuego. Our server was overwhelmed and mistakenly told us that the combo fajitas plate would be enough for the two of us. It was barely large enough for one person. The fajitas were not hot and under seasoned. The flour tortillas were small and stale on the edges. Two stars may be generous. read more

I predict this place will close by Christmas 2026. Service is practically non-existant despite lots of staff standing around doing nothing. Oh they'll come to your table immediately upon sitting down - but that's where it ends! Owner is bartending and she is LOUSY at it. She could barely handle 5 sitting at her little bar. 5 other servers waiting in line to get drinks for just 4 other tables so nothing moves. We could see it would be a disappointment after 15 minutes trying to get our first round of drinks: Nothing complicated. 2 draft beers and 2 tequila shots straight up with no dressing. Simple! Server came back with a single beer after 10 minutes. The rest got lost in translation we guess. Left half the beer and $5 on the table. Headed to Mi Dia and 2 of us ran up a $250 tab drinking Classe Azul with their wonderful food. Too many Mexican options in DFW with top tier service and fantastic food to put up with Corazon y Fuego. You've been warned. read more
