I love core life and was so excited to find one in Buffalo so close to my favorite stores. This is my first time to this location as I am visiting buffalo this week for business. 2 other customers and I were browsing the menu and I stepped up to order. I said I would have a greens and grains bowl with chicken and no... the woman interrupted me saying "oh we do this as we go down the line" she seemed overwhelmed but this is not my first trip to core life ... I know how this works. Plus there were only 2 other customers in line, it wasn't busy. The negative energy was not what I was expecting. I went to fill up my beverage and there were no tongs in the lemon wedges "have people been using their hands to get the lemons?" I wondered. Oh and my order was made incorrectly! There are no grains! Guess I'm going low carb today. Chicken is tough as well. Otherwise the location was fairly clean and the cashier was kind. Will update when/if I return. read more

Good healthy food. They have a wide variety of healthy foods to choose from. I had poke, roasted root vegetables, and couscous. May husband had a salad. My watermelon Fresca was good also. Food is good but the tables were all dirty. It doesn't take but 10 minutes to wipe tables down. Take pride in more than the food and you will go far. read more

Love! Everything I have tried I would order again. My favorite is the coconut curry chicken. Pretty reasonable in price considering I am always full after eating here. This place is the perfect combination of fresh, healthy ingredients and bold, delicious flavors. There's a lot of tasty choices on the menu, or you can build your own creation (like that sub place). The drinks are also unique, healthy, and delicious. The fresh and unusual music is a nice bonus. My girlfriend and I have been patrons of Core Life since they opened their location in Amherst with usually great food and service. Tonight though, was quite disappointing. Items that are supposed to be on both of our bowls were forgotten, the dressing for my girlfriend's bowl was not given to us, and the portions of chicken on both of our bowls was laughable. Food is healthy and you're going out to eat! I get the chicken and rice noodle soup and I don't like what they put in it so they let me deconstruct it and put my own ingredients that I want in the soup! One time my stomach hurt so they let me get a side of rice noodles and a cup of broth they are very accommodating there! I love that you can go out to eat and get a healthy meal! For fast food healthy eating, this place is quite good. It seemed very fresh and delicious. Also was very filling. It was my first time there and for newbies it can be a little confusing as to what meal you want and what comes with it. Nonetheless, the food was worth looking like an old dude. As for those who say it is expensive, I don't understand that. If you go to an unhealthy fast food joint and buy a burger, fries and a drink, it is just about the same price and with CoreLife you don't have to crap you pants and get angioplasty later. I have had CoreLife 4 times now and each experience has been worse. The first time I had it when it first opened, the food was delicious and the service excellent. Since then, the food has been a step down with each visit. Yesterday, was the final straw. They were out of half the ingredients for their dishes, the place was disgusting, and the service was quite poor. I'm not sure what happened, but the place clearly was poorly managed yesterday. Unfortunately, this is Buffalo, where the options for great food are endless, so one bad day coupled with some mediocre ones it enough for me. I personally won't be eating here anymore. Kind of a shame, because the concept and types of meals offered are quite good. read more

Not impressed. Fresh ingredients but nothing special. Friend got the Thai noodle bowl and not crazy about the cold noodles. I got the spicy tuna bowl. Tuna and purple rice was good. The pickled cabbage ruined the bowl. I don't get how they call the cabbage pickled. It's red cabbage with an overpowering vinegar flavor that ruined the flavor of everything else in the bowl. It was just cabbage soaked in vinegar. Also got the curry coconut soup which is NOTHING like the photo in the restaurant. Bland and not curry or coconut flavored. Not a fan of the teas and drinks. Sour and weird combinations. I'm usually pretty open minded but I think this place is just trendy and overpriced for what you get. read more

I wish I could give CoreLife more than 1 star because I really do enjoy the food there. I went last week to get a salad after work and was charged 17 dollars for A SALAD. The menu advertises the double protein salad bowl as 10.45, with double protein. I was charged for double chicken and was the cashier was very rude when I tried to understand the 17 dollars for the salad. I enjoy the food at CoreLife but every time I have been there the customer service is terrible and I don't think I'll be returning. read more

Good quick healthy food at a affordable price. Lots of vegetarian options with lots of interchangeable food options for each dish. Also the option for build your own bowl/ plate. All their dishes have a good flavor profile while keeping a healthy balance of ingredients. I highly suggest this chain for anyone trying to lose weight or for anyone keeping a low carb high protein diet. There is something here for everyone. read more

I've always liked core life, but lately it got even better . They now make the chicken/ steak on the grill for you as you order , and something about the protien now taste so much better than before. The staff at this location are also super warm/ friendly. I even noticed they handled nasty customers infront of me well. Definitely recommend the food and this location read more

Best fast casual chain ever. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options and huge portions for ~$12.

I'll start off by saying that I LOVE the concept of this place, but there needs to be some improvements before it's really good. I have long said that the thing that's missing as an option in most restaurants or fast food places is natural healthy food, so in that regard this place ticks all the right boxes. What's lacking is in the execution and delivery, at least for the moment, but I'm hoping they will improve over time. I ordered a spicy ginger steak broth bowl and Ethan ordered the chicken tortilla broth bowl. We ordered them exactly as they came, no customization. I had to return mine within a minute of sitting down as it was lukewarm which made it unpleasant. They quickly remade it and this time it was hot, but they missed off including the ginger which I had to go back for yet again after tasting it. The people working there were all very pleasant though but their attention to detail was just not there. The steak, while cooked well had no flavor and it hadn't been cut properly. So a bunch of the small chunks were all stuck together because of improper knife skills. That kind of thing is easily remediable but it tarnished my enjoyment since I had to spend time pulling the pieces of meat apart to avoid eating the steak all in one go. Annoying. While I understand that there may well be people who can not tolerate salt in their food, and many restaurants way over-season their offerings, in this case the lack of seasoning in the broth and meat resulted in everything tasting extremely bland. There was just a lack of depth of flavor that some adequate seasoning during prep and cooking would have imparted. No amount of seasoning afterwards brings the same depth of flavor thereafter. I feel they need to expand their range of broth options to include broths with developed flavor and character or lots of people will try eating here maybe once or twice and then just not return, which would be a shame. I really hope to see more places like this opening up to offer fresh healthy food options so I hope they can make the changes needed to survive. Their broths also need to be kept piping hot to avoid the lukewarm experience I had at first. Maybe they also need to include an induction coil in their mixing station and take a minute or two to add heat so that the food is truly hot before it leaves the counter at least. Ethan's tortilla chicken had the same issues, lack of flavor and lukewarm within five minutes. Their drink options are interesting but a little more info in which ones are loaded with sugar would be helpful. All in all I love the concept, but hope they'll improve their flavor profile and execution before it becomes their reason for no longer being around. read more

This is my go to for healthy, clean meals when I'm out and about or in a hurry! The line is usually long, but moves very fast and the staff is very helpful while you are going through the line. You can choose from grain bowls, salads, broth bowls, and more. I love that they have all fresh ingredients that are brought in everyday. Some of the ingredients are also unique like the purple rice! The homemade dressings are also very tasty. Lastly, you receive homemade bread with your meal which tastes super fresh. The cost may seem a little high for a grain bowl or salad, but the quality of the food makes it completely worth it! read more
