I love it here! I've been here many times with my family; I love their salad, soup, and drink options. They have an array of options available, which are all very healthy and fresh. The food is made to order and is always delicious. I love finding new salad places; I'm glad this place is very convenient. I love trying different salads here and trying out different toppings and dressings. I can't wait to stop back in.

We went to core to get a light lunch, and it was worth it! It's nothing fancy but definitely a little spot to grab something quick! They have all kinds of salads, wraps and sandwiches. You order and you go right down the line and can personalize your order! No servers here, they just make your food in front of you. They also have yummy lemonades and teas! Definitely nice for a summer lunch.

The dark part is rotten lettuce. And they could've kept the stump. Seriously, check your lettuce

I love the atmosphere, I am happy, I am home. I walked in and I was hit with the most beautiful smell, the smell of veggies and love. The service was excellent, everyone in my party got their food quickly/efficiently. #foodisourcommonground

    Cranberry vinaigrette that is green???

I guess it's never too late to learn a lesson. Typically I read reviews of eateries before I buy from them but the local CoreLife eatery in Camillus always has so many people going in and out. I just figured it would be a good choice. I was wrong. Tonight was my first time trying them and I ordered a Steak & Bleu salad, which comes with bacon and walnuts only to get home to find they forgot the blue cheese, the walnuts, AND the bacon- literally most of the salad. It boggles my mind that a steak and bleu cheese salad could be missing the Bleu cheese, but again, lesson learned. This salad came w cranberry vinaigrette- which is confusing because the flavor profiles don't go together- and it's green as shown in the photos. I don't know where you get green cranberries from, but I tasted it and it does taste like cranberry except it's a putrid green color which is unappetizing. Moving on.... I also ordered a side of roasted brussels sprouts with maple drizzle. As you can see in the photo, there were four items in my Brussel sprouts which look like stems and just to be sure I bit down on one to see - and it's hard and totally inedible - a serious choking hazard. Quite frankly, this is the most ridiculous takeout order I've ever had. Whoever owns this particular, CoreLife or manages it should retrain their staff - or they'll continue to get bad reviews like this one and lose customers, like me.

Wrong taco, bad Mac and cheese :(

Oh my gosh! My husband and I just ordered from here and it was atrocious! We were so excited, I'm so disappointed! We ordered 2 korean bbq pork mac and cheeses and 2 steak fajita tacos (one substitute chicken) and everything was wrong! The lady serving us gave us barely any mac and cheese and the meat was entirely fat and the max and cheese was dried out-- however they managed to do that. I spit it out immediately. I am sick! The tacos, instead of steak, we were given pork. It's like the server didn't even listen to us. We also requested a side of the bbq and she gave us some balsamic thing? I am not sure but it was not correct. Very disappointed.

1 year after my first review for this place and we still frequent this place!! Have come here often for a quick tuna poke fire bowl lunch as well!!

Steak bacon and blue, tossed and very light. I am a small person and didn't fill me, let alone my bf
    Kathy L.

I was excited to see this location since I love Core. But I was very disappointed in the portion sizes. I always get the steak, bacon and blue, which they said is only available in the "big" size now. My salad was light on mesclun mix which is a cheap ingredient. Also, I only got a very small portion of steak which was disappointing. It wasn't even busy so they cannot say they were in a rush. 2 salads for $24 and it wasn't even filled to the top of the container. Also, the bread was stale.

    Salads and drinks.

It wasn't bad, but I probably would not go again. The…read moreservice was good; we were sat right away, and drink orders placed quickly. Drinks came promptly, and our food orders as well. They have a wide range of meal and drink options, with most items sounding appetizing. My husband and I both got lavender drinks; him a lavender marg, and I a lavender lemonade. They were very syrupy, which made it hard to finish the drinks, even though they the flavor was great. We got garlic bread as an app, and it was much more greasy than one would expect. But it was still very tasty. Only down side was that the grease weighted down our stomachs, so it was hard to finish the entrees. Dinner was very good; I had the six cheeses mac n cheese, and Ryan got fish n chips. Both were a good portion for the price, which is always nice. Again, it wasn't a bad experience! I just wasn't blown away/ i didnt feel that I need to go back in the future.

We've eaten here a bunch - mostly due to proximity and lack of other options. The food is wildly…read moreinconsistent; sometimes, we're surprised at how good a dish is (usually a special or seasonal dish), but if we order it again, it's never the same. The biggest issues: - Many things seem to have a lot of oil involved. From the side vegetables to the burgers to the "garlic bread" served on the side of the pasta dishes - there's a strong, oily taste. It's not a pleasant oil - my guess is it's ostensibly neutral, like a vegetable or canola, though it leaves a flavor that suggests it's not entirely neutral. Perhaps a fake butter? Why it's so ubiquitous is anyone's guess, but it leaves an unpleasant film in your mouth. While I understand restaurants use a lot more oil/butter than home cooking (it's often why we like restaurant food better), this oil is not good. - The fries. I guess some people like them; I loved shoestring fries as a kid, but these aren't the same. They have no flavor (aside from the aforementioned oil), and they're the consistency of McDonald's fries, but drier and harder. Recently, we got an order that came with a new, more traditional style fry, and they were so good. We were excited that they finally ditched the cardboard variety but that apparently was a one-off - today showed that they seemed to revert to the old style, unfortunately. - They had an amazing chicken bacon ranch pizza for a while, until one day when it was gone. I think the secret was smoked Gouda, but whatever they used, it was a great pizza. When it disappeared from the menu, I inquired and was told, "oh yeah, lots of people are asking for that." So I said, "is it coming back, then?" I was told it's "doubtful," which kinda sums up my experiences there. Everyone loved it and wants it back? Better get rid of it, then. - The kids menu options are somewhat insulting to children. The "grilled cheese" uses what appear to be hamburger buns, so carelessly made that they seldom match up (that is, the top will be skewed off so the sandwich isn't put together). The kids pasta dishes are just plain noodles, usually undercooked, with no seasoning (i.e. salt) or other attention to preparation. The inconsistency is really the biggest issue for me. Things range from "fine" to "bad," but even if you stick with one menu item, you don't know what you're going to get. Non-chain, family-friendly restaurants are seemingly hard to find in this area, so I really wish they were better. We've kept at this place far longer than we probably should, again due to convenience, and because every now and then, a dish will be surprisingly good. However, those instances are becoming so rare, I think we're done for a good while. I do hope they improve.

My husband and I have been to Ravines Wine Cellars several times since 'discovering them' during a special farm-to-table dinner and wine pairing at Good Luck a few years back. That night we enjoyed a 5-course meal and each course was paired with a different wine. It was the first time we ever experienced drinking finger lakes wines that we really enjoyed and could see ourselves buying for private consumption! Shortly after that, we made the trip out to the wine cellar in Geneva to do a tasting. On our first trip, we did the wine and cheese tasting - loved everything and went home with a bottle of Meritage. On the second trip, we did the wine and chocolate tasting (which features chocolates from Hedonist) and came home with a bottle of the Vignoles. Fast forward another couple of years and we took advantage of a holiday event which featured food pairing tastings from Brown Hound Bistro at the Ravines location in Hammondsport. We left with several bottles of wine for holiday gifts. Every experience was great, with friendly and knowledgeable people, enjoyable atmospheres and yummy goodness. Most recently, I was lucky to attend a special dinner at the Ravinous Kitchen as part of a company event. There were 12 of us for a 6-course meal on a Sunday evening (usually they are closed at this time). Included was a tour of the winery and wine cellar, with time spent with the owner and the head chef. It was amazing. The chef prepared really, really delicious dishes for each wine: --We started with glasses of their 2009 sparkling Brut Rose which was delicious. Paired with a bacon puff and served with herbed crème fresh, this was a lovely little bite. --Next, while we were in the cellar, we were served a parsnip bisque with caramelized cheese. We ate that while tasting their 'new' 2015 Meritage right out of the barrel. It was cool in the cellar and the bisque and wine was a perfect little warm up. --First of the 'mains' was a large serving of local Lively Run chevre, with a side of kale and some pomegranate drizzle, served with their 2015 dry Riesling. They also gave each of us a fresh baked roll, and mine was gluten free - the most perfect gluten free roll I've ever had - truly crusty and 'French-bread-like'. I could have died happy after eating this course. --Second 'main' was a stuffed squash with some kind of spinach or creamed green inside. This was doused in brown butter and served with a smear of red miso. The dish was served with their 2013 Pinot Noir. Holy deliciousness. Unlike any squash dish I've ever had, this was definitely the table favorite. Super savory and umami, great depth. Super yum. --Final 'main' was braised beef short rib served with shaved brussels sprouts and a mushroom 'cream' made by roasting a medley of mushrooms and pureeing them with cream. This dish was served with au jus and the 2013 Maximilian red. A rich, delicious combination. I have to admit at this point I was over the top stuffed, but even so, when the chef brought out extra servings of the short ribs, I forced myself to have a bit more. The au jus was delicious and the meat was totally fall-apart tender. So good. --For dessert, we were served a butterscotch 'risotto' - basically a rice pudding with white chocolate, apricots and toasted oats. This was served with the Vignoles. Take a bite and a swig and swirl them in your mouth - flavor explosion! I really love the Vignoles. Even those at the table who are not fans of dessert wines/ports/ice wines drank every drop! (Too bad because I was offering to finish whatever anyone wasn't going to drink, but no takers....) Ravines is definitely at the tippy top of my list of favorite wineries and experiences in the finger lakes. And with all the new awesome eateries in Geneva and the focus on making the little college town a foodie destination, I highly recommend you join the Ravinous club, rent an Airbnb and go there to spend a weekend of eating, drinking and merriment!
