    Greek Chicken and Quinoa
    Minna M.

This is the second time that I have tried CoreLifeEatery. I dined in this time and it was an overall good experience. I ordered the Greek Chicken and Quinoa. It has grilled chicken, chopped romaine, tzatziki sauce, cucumbers, tomatoes, hummus, feta, and a cucumber basil dressing. I ordered the regular size. The flavors were very good! I think I was actually wanting a little more romaine in the bowl. But I would order it again. And next time, I may order the larger size. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant was very clean and there was plenty of seating. I know that it is probably just not part of their menu to have sodas as an option but I would have loved a soda! But this is not their fault and again, I will definitely love to try more menu items!!

The music is loud, the room is very frigid cold. Bring a sweater. The Thai noodles are cold (thai noddles are supposed to be warmAll the smoothies dont taste like the flavor ordered -- they put bananas in the smoothie and only taste like banana I couldn't even taste my mango in my smoothie. We spent $50 for 4 mediocre bowls and lame smoothies. The steak looked medium rare. The pork looked and tasted like it was charred. Plus soft tap water was free My mom said "está súper malo"

I love corelife!! It's essentially a subway type concept but for salads and broth bowls. They do have the predetermined menu as well but you can customize them to your liking. I've tried a couple menu items here but I always go back to the southwest grilled chicken and purple rice blend salad. It is SO good and I love their chicken here. The dressing they use is a jalapeño lime cilantro vinaigrette and it is just so tasty. This is a great place for lunch with decent prices and I would say the portions are pretty big!

I've been to CoreLife 4x and 2 of those 4 times have been at this location. The food is good here and on par with other locations, but they have some operational stuff to figure out here. Weekday lunches are a hot mess. The line is crazy long and the order online/pick up is always a mess. I've ordered online both times & they're NEVER ready at the time you put down. So, put down an earlier pick up time. Furthermore -- the first time - I didn't get everything I ordered and I had to come back. The second time - half my order was at the pick up rack and the other half was on the counter. Why?! My usually order is the: *Sriracha Ginger Roasted Tofu (Baby spinach + shredded kale, roasted organic tofu, spicy broccoli, carrots, ginger, sprouts, basil, sriracha. Vegetarian) with added chicken. *Bone Broth! Channeling my inner baby yoda! But in all seriousness, their bone broth is pretty legit. It reminds me of the one at get at Trader Joe's in the refrigerated section, which is fav bone broth to date!

3.5 Stars. Cute place, lots of parking. Great for vegans and vegetarians. They serve all kinds of bowls, which I love.... Grain Bowls, Broth Bowls, Green Bowls, Make your own Bowl, etc. Lots of options, everything looks super fresh and beautiful. It's laid out in a Subway style ordering format, in that you order your bowl and walk with it as it's made to answer questions they have about what you may want. It's a great system. My only notes are that they charge an up charge for cheese, which I'm 100% fine with, but then they gave me less than a teaspoon of cheese? I could barely find it in there. Really? I said I'd pay for it because I want it. If you need to charge more do it, but I wanted cheese. Also, there was a spider on the edge of my bowl. So yah.

We stopped in here one day when looking for a place for lunch in a new town before an event. We knew we didn't want anything greasy so when we looked up healthier options this came up (we thought it was a gym based on the building sign!) The menu has a wide variety of options for everyone - salads, bowls, broth/soups, and lots of protein options. Both of our meals were delicious and the staff was very friendly but somewhat lacking knowledge of their own options when we asked. There are lots of juice and tea options as well to acompany your meal!

Coming from living in Colorado for a few years, my wife and I quickly noticed the lack of healthy choices in Michigan...just the way of life compared to a place like Denver. Finding this place put us right back to that fresh, tasty, healthy food that we loved so much out West. There are so many options, from salads, to rice bowls, to broth bowls! Tasty tasty! I would definitely recommend for any of those craving some fresh goodness!

I was surprised at how long it took for the 2 hosts to greet us - as we were standing directly in front of them. They were talking to one another, and it was probably work related, but to just stand there staring at them for a couple minutes while they ignored us was awkward. When they finally talked to us they weren't very friendly. Anyway, we made our way to the bar and it was full except for 3 seats. I think the bartender waiting on us was new. He seemed like he was pretty overwhelmed/in the weeds. He greeted us quickly and brought us waters when he did, which I appreciated. I ordered a Blackeberry Bourbon Sour and my Mr had Paloma Nuestra. We both enjoyed our drinks they were refreshing and well crafted. For dinner I had a really hard time deciding! I wanted to try so many things! Our bartender said his favorite thing in the menu is the chicken and rice bowl. That was something I was considering and decided to go with that. Excellent recommendation! The chicken was flavorful and so tender. The hot peppers were a nice touch. There was a lot of food too! I couldn't finish it all. Mr had the hanger steak that was served with mushroom and asparagus risotto. He said the risotto was the best he's ever had, and I agree. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and so was the steak. The space is really nice, felt intimate without being overcrowded. We are looking forward to coming back!

What a disappointment, but not nearly as much as our experience at 123 Tavern. We came in at 4:15PM before the Brandi Carlile show needing a table for a party of 8-10. The place was fully booked (but only half full at that time) except the bar (first-come, first-served). Fair enough -- but from the moment we walked up, the manager at the host stand couldn't have cared less. She quoted a two-hour wait, shut down my question about sitting outside with a flat no, and pointed us toward the bar. No sense of customer service at all. Like zero. The three of us who were there took the last open seats at the bar. Then came the real show: one bartender for the entire restaurant AND bar. He ignored us for ten minutes. My wife and friend got their beers quickly -- but my bourbon sat finished at the service station for another seven minutes while I watched the large ice cube melting as it marinated there. When I finally asked where my drink was, I got "I'm working on it." When he did finally bring it, he pushed it across the bar at me -- no apology, no eye contact, his attention on anything but me. I'll be honest about what I can't prove: I've worked in this industry a long time, and the whole thing read like my service got intentionally slow-walked. My drink held back while everyone around me was taken care of. Maybe the front manager said something after our rocky start at the host stand. Maybe they're just all bad at their jobs. I can't tell you which. I can only tell you how obvious it felt from the barstool. Everything after was the same; menus, ordering, closing out, all a slog. I had to hunt down that same manager for our check so we could get to the show, and she was all attitude, zero help. We only escaped because my wife flagged a server who found a another manager. His response to hearing all this? "I'm sorry." Nothing else. No attempt to make it right. For the first time in my life, I left $0 on a $100 tab. I'm a 25%+ tipper. That's how badly this went. Here's the thing, 123 Tavern: if you're going to bill yourself as a place to gather before events, staff the place and train your managers to act like they want customers there. Until then, I'll spend my money somewhere that values it.

Portion was very respectable, meant for a shareable appetizer but it was just me lol. The ricotta is a delicious touch. Then the hangar steak. It's the best steak I can remember having in a long time, and on a relatively inexpensive cut such as a hangar. I just can't express enough how impressed I was with it. And I'm not a sauce with steak type but the aioli just completes it so well. 5/5, and I'm pretty picky. If I come back to Grand Rapids I will visit here at least once.
