This was my first time coming to this location since it opened because I missed my time slot for the pre opening. The first time I tried CoreLife Eatery was in Rochester a couple of months ago and I loved it! I was so excited that they were opening one here! My experience today consisted of initial shock that there was still a long line out of the door, which to me only means that everyone's loving the place. I joined the line & to my surprise was at the counter in a matter of minutes. The conveyer belt of servers here seemed to be working pretty quickly together, I didn't see any issues with their service, rather they were quicker than I expected. I do hope the lines die down because the seats were filled up and it was way too loud (no, I'm not a grandma, it was just really loud ) I ordered the tuna poke grain bowl to go in a medium size, it comes with a full portion of protein in any size, which is pretty great! Usually I feel that the poke bowls don't provide enough protein for the cost of their bowls. I can't say I was a big fan of the flavor of my bowl, but I think it was the dressing because it was too watery & salty for my taste, I didn't taste the ginger at all, and they were low on edamame so I didn't have much of that in my bowl either. The price was very reasonable for a pretty big loaded with tuna, poke bowl ( $12 something with tax), Now since I'm done eating, I am super full, very satisfied, and loaded up on my protein, so if you're about your gains, CoreLife is where it's at. Side note, after reading the comment below in regards to someone getting food positions after eating their tuna poke, I'm quite nervous haven eaten mine already....fingers crossed. read more

This wouldn't be so bad except they've got a brand new menu. Apparently the guy who couldn't have me move down the line fast enough was the regional manager. In short he was a jerk. Don't know why he's in food service quite honestly. We have a new menu let's slam people down the line as fast as we can send to be his motto. For several weeks we've been placing a curbside order online for the CoreLife Eatery in DeWitt, NY. Last week there was a problem: I arrived a little early, and phoned to indicate that I was outside. And waited and waited for someone to answer. Finally, about 5 minutes after the promised time, I went inside and found my order sitting over in the pickup area. And I gave them a 20% tip!! This week there was a worse problem: I arrived early, phoned in, indicated I was outside, and shortly afterward someone came out with an order. It seemed a little heavier that I would have expected, and checking the ticket revealed that it was someone else order!!!! Well, I took it inside, handed it in, and at that point it was 6:18, the promised time for our order. I asked for a manager, and received what was little more than a shrug. There was no one around who looked like a manager. I waited around, rather impatiently. Finally it was taken over to the pickup window, at 6:28--ten minutes late.!!! Someone was going to take it out to the car, but I intercepted her. So much for my again adding a 20% tip. But wait, there's more. Our two tuna poke tacos, were not tuna at all--something like roast beef. Not good--we consciously avoid red meat!!!! This location really needs an on-site manager. Someone might have been in charge, but it was not obvious who it was. The food is decent if they get the order right, and deliver it on time as curbside. read more

Visiting from Virginia ( We have CAVA, but not Core), I always want to go to Core. The Erie Boulevard location needs a visit from The Health Dept. It was disgusting in every way. We arrived at 2:10, and we were 2nd in line. There was a single person manning the prep line. From an unfriendly and likely overworked employee, we each ordered a Greek Taco and two Curry Coconut soups for dine-in. After we ordered, I looked down at the prep containers and there was slopped out food items everywhere! It looked like a dozen five year olds had worked there. Extremely unappetizing. Topping spread out into other toppings. The glass "sneeze bar" was dirty, coated with splashes of food and smudges. The cashier was upbeat. There seemed to be plenty of people in the kitchen that could have been cleaning the gross prep area. The "hanging Covid screen" at the register was filthy. I looked over at the case that holds bottled drinks and it was also dirty. Food crumbs were everywhere and it was dirty. My naan bread, which she had placed in some sort of heating appliance, was cold and dry. I had requested no tstaziki sauce, but there was SOME unknown sauce on the edge of the naan...from the prep area? The soup was edible. There was a large bag full of trash next to the bathroom. No one felt like taking it outside? The ladies' room had no paper towels. We will never return. What happened to the management of this place?! Ugh!! Wish we had taken pictures. read more

We like the food but we do have some issues in terms of cleanliness... there is hardly ever a clean table to sit at, and they don't change their gloves often enough and they touch things other than you're food with them. The music is way too loud and their portions have gotten smaller. Kind of expensive, but the quality is good, so we feel it's worth it. read more

Always loved Core. Never had a bad experience. I stopped for a Cobb Salad with Chicken and all the fixings after a long stressful day. I was asked if I wanted regular chicken and said yes unbeknownst to me they changed their menu and regular chicken is now a soupy marinated lemon garlic chicken. The warm juicy soup and lemony garlic marinade completely ruined the Cobb salad. I called to ask if they changed something and the person who answered said yes we now serve marinated chicken. I asked if they still had regular chicken because when ordering they asked if I wanted regular and I said YES. She said the marinated lemon garlic WAS their regular and it wasn't her decision to change the chicken. She said I could drive back and get coupons or one made again with less marinade . I said if all they serve is this new marinade I'd pass. I drove back anyway any my plan was to ask for a Cobb Salad with everything BUT the soupy chicken. The people behind the counter were like "Well do you want us to just put regular chicken on it"???? SERIOUSLY!!! Now this is what I asked for initially. I responded that I was told they didn't have regular chicken?? They said oh we do you just have to ask for it plain!!!! I said ok I'd like plain chicken. They remade it. But my favorite part, avocado, was left off. My 2nD favorite part, the yummy blue cheese dressing was so scant I could barely taste it . Overall just a disappointing experience. It would of been nice if when I called I was told oh I'm sorry we did make some menu changes recently. I'd be glad to remake your salad with the previously regular chicken. I wont be back mostly based on principle. I know that means nothing but hey I've had a tough day and all I wanted was a healthy salad from a fave place. Sorry but Cobb Salad with Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing tastes really awful with hot soupy lemon garlic juice all over it. It made the lettuce warm and the dressing watery and the seasoning doesn't go at all with Cobb. You should consider making some salads standard with the regular chicken. Just my thoughts here. And train people if there is a menu change to explain that. There wasn't anything posted anywhere about any changes so not sure how I would know to say I wanted regular old chicken. If you have a good day and want your day ruined, go here!!! The staff at this location is so rude! This is the fourth time that I've been to this location and the last!! The workers are so impatient when you're placing your order, they don't ask if you want everything on it, they just put it on and if you try to stop them half way through to tell them that you don't want something, they make such a big deal about it. I ordered double scoop of spicy chicken on both, got a single scoop of plain chicken on each instead but got charged for the double. I asked for no scallions and no beans, I got the scallions. The workers avoid eye contact because they just don't care about how you want your food made, they'll just make it the way they want to. Never going back to this location. If you want a good bowl go to Buckley road or Camillus. read more

Ordered a chicken and rice noodle bowl and just seems to be about 2/3 of what I used to get particularly the chicken. I think I counted 5 pieces. I tried CoreLife for the first time tonight and am currently still sitting in the restaurant. This restaurant is a knock off sweetgreen and does not compare at all. They have such limited options for toppings (like how can you not have goat cheese???) and the food is so mediocre and even their meals that are supposed to be "spicy" are bland. @sweetgreen please pull up and give me a salad from the superior salad bar. read more

This place looks so modern and trendy one would normally walk in expecting good food. Not to throw up 40 times 2 hours later. I hadn't thrown up in over 5 years from eating something bad. But this place turned me into a fountain. About two hours after I ate, I am experiencing stomach pains and eventually began throwing up. It would be less of an issue if it was once or twice. But no I threw up to the point where only bile was coming out. I would drink water and it would come up in about 10 minutes. I ended up going to a local urgent care facility where the only thing that helped was an anti-nausea medication in shot form. When I called the restaurant to inform them that their food was doing this to me I was told it wasn't them and that I would be contacted by a corporate official soon. That never happened and I can assure you I do not have a weak stomach or tendency to be unable to digest foods. Also considering the extortionate price for a regular salad, don't get confused and assume it's a good quality. It's a regular salad that you could get at Panera, Wegmans or even make at home. This place is bad news and it's barley been open for 6 months. read more

It was my first time at Corelife and I thought the presentation of all the dishes looked good from the menu and the display boards. I was not given a choice of the sizes of bowls there and the staff there didn't tell me and my friends about the sizes and the different prices. We noticed that there was too much spinach in the chicken tortilla bowl and the broth in this dish was lukewarm. There were very few tortilla chips offered. I ordered the Sriracha quinoa bowl and there was no quinoa served in my bowl. The bowl was cold even though on the menu it said that it would be warm. In addition, there was too much Sriracha sauce added. My friend ordered the Mediterranean bowl and she only got one falafel served in the bowl. Overall, the three of us were very disappointed with our experience as well as our food. No printed receipt was given to us and the female staff member at the cash register gave me and my sister a look feigning of racism. I will never go back to this location again due to the customer experience I had there. I highly suggest that all staff undergo better training in providing quality customer service as well as quality in preparation of foods according to what is stated on the printed menus. It seemed that the staff there rushed in making our orders and not following quality standards in preparation of food nor giving good customer service. read more

The food is quite good, but the customer service is sub-par. You have to watch the food preparers *like a hawk* to ensure that you get the correct ingredients on the menu items, or that they put in something that you've asked for. (They're supposed to note it on the slip of paper that goes along with your order -- you have about a 50/50 shot of that happening and another 50% chance of it making it in there.) Take care to double check if you use the app to order or you're likely to get back to your desk and find things missing, as well. Lack of responsiveness seems to go up the corporate ladder too, as registering a comment on their website generated no response. There seems to be a serious mismatch between their organizational identify and how they actually operate. It's too bad because the line out the door demonstrates that there's clearly a desire for clean eating and quality food, and they seem to have a system in place to get it right, if people just paid attention both in the store and back in the offices. If they can't get the service part right, they'll eventually fall by the wayside. I've been there enough to notice that this wasn't a one time thing, and also enough to feel like I'm foolish to go back. read more
