While there, I was lucky enough…read moreto find a studio that had so much to offer in every way (instruction style, class variety, scheduling options, studio amenities and cleanliness, easy parking, you name it--they nailed it), that I stayed hyper-loyal to them the entire time I lived there. I even did my 200 YTT training and certification with them! That place was like my second home filled with a rotation of chosen family. Once I moved back home to the South Bay, I knew I'd have a lot more options in terms of studios and styles, but that meant I would have to really shop around and play yoga tourist until I found a good fit. As much as I love yoga, I wasn't looking forward to this process. I didn't want to feel like the stranger, the noob, the clueless casual. I've now taken three classes at 423 Yoga (Yoga Sculpt with Melody, 90 Minute Vinyasa with Jill, and Hot Power with Lori), and I can say with a ton of confidence that this just might be my new home studio. Each of these amazing instructors offered an experience that was completely new to me in some way. I had a lightbulb "Aha!" moment in each class that ushered a breakthrough either in deepening a posture, activating a forgotten muscle, or releasing tension. I've taken hundreds and hundreds of classes (hot, yin, vinyasa, barre, sculpt, F.I.T., weighted yoga, etc.) and what kept me hooked into a regular practice was the daily reset that meant I might feel like Final Boss Yogi one day, and Newborn Baby Deer the next. I was surprised all the time. This type of surprise is a feature of a high quality studio with engaged instructors who don't see this as just another job. They live and breathe it, so their classes feel alive and valuable. In my opinion, Yoga should never feel overly predictable or like a snooze. The classes at 423 kept me locked in, focused, and completely in my breath and body. Class attendance has been on the smaller side, which I love. Overcrowded, loud, heated studios can be way overstimulating, and 423 doesn't feel like that at all. I want to let out a sigh of relief when I arrive, which is exactly what they delivered. The other yogis in attendance have been friendly and welcoming, which is also a plus. The variety of in-house equipment they let everyone use is impressive, and especially so since everyone does their part to actually sanitize each piece after it's used. This is SO rare! I also love that they have a big parking garage. This is such a huge plus anywhere in LA. TLDR: 423 Yoga is doing everything right, and I think I love them for it.

I really love Andrea's classes, but all of them are good and have their own personality, so it's about choosing which one that works with your schedule or vibe. Most of the classes are heated, and they have a variety of classes from restorative to heated vinyasa / power classes. Oh! And for savasana, they hand out these cold towels drenched in lavender and it is so amazing and I look forward to it every time! My experience may be different from someone who is completely new to Pilates. It was instructed to come 15 minutes early before your first class so I did. A class was finishing up but the studio is very clean and for me self explanatory. So I put all my stuff in the cubbies provided, self-checked in on the Ipad, and waited for the class to finish. My first class was with Brittany and she did briefly explain the reformer to me, but I told her I had used a reformer before so I didn't need a thorough explanation. There was another girl in my class who was new so she helped her. The LIT class, which is their entry beginner class, I will say is a pretty good workout. I liked that even in the LIT class Brittany gave you the option if you wanted to do a higher level of weight/work for more of a challenge. The space is very clean, the reformers are in great working shape, and decorated more trendy. I enjoyed the music here (but if you are looking more for an experience where its playing more elevator type music then I would say this studio is not for you). Another thing I like about this studio is the variety of different classes like the cardio-jump board class, straps, classic pilates, etc. I took a jump board class with Allie and it was a great workout! Allie was also super sweet. I'll be back!

Did a Groupon with them recently. I have been to the Wilshire and Hollywood studios. This studio in Torrance is nice studio plenty of free parking. The studio only has one room so they don't have as many classes as their other studios. I have taken classes with most of the teachers here. They are all pretty good in what they do but I do have my favorites. HPF - D'Andre by far is my favorite HPF teacher. He gives really clear instructions and does wonderful adjustments. I also like Sofia too. She plays good music. C2 - Sierra is my pick. She is soft spoken, pleasant and non intimidating. Her classes are challenging enough for me. Jessica is also good but sometimes she seems in a bad mood and I guess I am a little sensitive to that. Sculpt - It's a tie. Monica is one of my favorites. She has a fun energy and really keeps the class moving. It's a happy class and has lots of cardio which I love to do. My other favorite is Jeff. He does a LOT of ab and body weight exercises that left me sore and feeling like I actually did something. Both of these instructors look fit which is very motivating. The membership is a little pricey but since they offer sculpt I may just cancel my gym membership. read more

I LOVE this studio! Everyone is SO welcoming and it's SUCH a great workout! So far I've taken class with Vivian, Jenn, Keeley and Katie. Every single one of them have been amazing and they genuinely care about every person that walks into the studio. Besides the AMAZING instructors, their cleanliness is another factor that attracts me to this studio. Their restroom, locker room and yoga room is soooo clean. I've been to other hot yoga studios and they are dirty and smell like feet. This yoga studio doesn't smell like B.O. and I don't feel uncomfortable walking barefoot in the locker room. All in all, I have tried 3 other yoga studios, have had a 24 and equinox membership, tried bar method, and a variety of other workouts but this is my FAVORITE. Not only does the C2 class give me an amazing workout, it improves my mental health throughout my every day life. I would highly recommend this yoga studio to ANYONE slightly interested. I absolutely love this place! As a beginner in yoga, I appreciate how welcoming and non-judgmental the atmosphere is at CorePower. I always feel comfortable, no matter my experience level. Parking is never an issue, so even if you're running a little late, you won't have to stress about finding a spot. They offer a variety of classes, including candlelight, heated, and sculpt, with different levels to match your experience. The studio itself is spacious, so I never feel cramped during sessions. They provide equipment like yoga blocks and straps, and if you don't have your own mat, you can rent one. The facility also has showers, lockers, and a dedicated changing area, which is super convenient. The instructors are fantastic, they always encourage you to go at your own pace, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great yoga experience! read more

The instructors here are great! I just moved to the South Bay from Orange County and was looking for a new yoga studio in the area. I tried out the free week of yoga at CorePower, the Hot Yoga studio in Redondo Beach, and Bikram in Hermosa Beach. I must say I was not a fan of the other South Bay studios because they had a weird smell (like feet) and did not feel sanitary. CorePower is very clean, sanitary and does not smell like feet! Additionally, I LOVE that CorePower offers a variety of of classes like Yoga Sculpt, Hot Power Fusion and the C classes. I would recommend this studio to EVERYONE! read more

I've been going to this studio for 2 months now and I have been going 5 days / week and have lost 8 lbs! I would highly recommend this studio to anybody...Not only has it helped me with my weight loss but it also has helped me mentally. I have high anxiety and yoga has really helped me control my anxiety without medication. I have tried many other different work outs (Bar Method, Pilates, Kickboxing) but Hot Vinyasa Yoga has seemed to help me with EVERYTHING..meaning weight loss, mental health and I just like it the most =) plus their teachers are super nice! read more

Love coming here! I feel like my body is releasing all the toxins through sweat and allowing me to feel much better. When I go to the gym I get the ugly bulky muscles that is so not feminine. Core Power is great for me I have noticed that my muscles look longer. I wanted that so much. The instructors are great too. They will keep the class going and help you at the same time if you are having a hard time with a pose. Also when they walk around, they challenge you to stretch out more. Its a great push. Bikram was a little too hot for me, and the postures bored me...plus it is an hour and a half which I sometimes don't have time for. This yoga studio is perfect because I can either take an hour of C2 or add in Yoga Sculpt and C2 if I feel like working out longer. Read the contract and ask questions before you sign up...if I had known I was going to be charged…read more$15 every time I had to cancel or miss a session, there is NO WAY I would have joined. I work, and I have to do overtime on occasion...overtime means I get NO advanced notice to notify the studio, so being penalized for it is theft in my opinion. I'm not a stay at home mom with tons of free time, so dinging me with an extra financial charge for not being able to attend a class is unacceptable and bad business. I NEVER attended a class, therefore I thought canceling my membership wouldn't be an issue...NOT SO. They wouldn't refund me initially; I prepaid unlimited sessions at $3000. They eventually agreed to refund me, BUT, took just under $300, for what I have no idea. I was never given a reason for taking this amount of money...possibly a "we're pissed to lose $3k, so we're going to punish you for canceling your membership. Regardless, I'm glad I canceled because it shows me how unprofessional this business is...stealing almost $300 from me for absolutely no reason. Buyer beware!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover nor a Pilates studio by one class, but in this case I must!…read more What a delightful morning class with Mary Kay! Seems like there is a regular core of folks in each class but enough space for new folks to come and in. None of the clique-y vibe of some similar group class studios, either. Ample parking in front free lot, which us good as the room has more than a half dozen reformers plus a cadillac. Group classes combine a bit of floor (when I attended it was mainly a few stretches and prep for the reformers more complex balancing so nearly all of class was on the bed) with reformer. You'll want pilates socks for this studio. They have a smart and tidy method of giving each class attendee a plastic bin to put each person's personal goodies in then return at end of class. Keeps things tidy and clean! Music was a mix of newer pop, country etc. not very loudly played which was nice. Just enough to focus when things got tough. Pilates is like that: seems easy but the workout sneaks up on you in intensity. I found this studio through ClassPass, which was nice as I wouldn't have discovered it in a drive by, tucked away as it is. Mary Kay was delightful and welcoming. The instructors did help and reposition me, which I appreciated, but I continued to struggle, and in one of the classes, the instructor laughed, which made me feel self-conscious and discouraged as a beginner. While I understand classes can be lighthearted, in that moment it felt uncomfortable rather than supportive. After experiencing something similar again with a different instructor, it became discouraging and made me feel like this might continue happening. What ultimately led me to explore other options wasn't the workout itself, but the feeling of being judged during class. Fitness environments should feel encouraging, especially for people who are new or still building confidence. I did have a positive experience with one instructor who was very helpful, but she primarily taught Define or Empower classes, which felt too advanced for me compared to Classic, since I was still new to barre. Because of these experiences, I decided to try another studio where I felt more comfortable and eventually canceled my membership here.

There's one studio room, and I like that the lockers for belongings are conveniently located right near the front of the room. The women's bathroom was clean and had two stalls, but one thing I didn't love was the large gap in both stall doors; It felt like someone could easily see inside, which made changing/using the toilet a bit uncomfortable. I also wish there were more seating or bench areas in the bathroom like I've seen at other CorePower locations. There was only one small bench behind the sink area, and it felt like everyone was scrambling for space to put their bags while changing. The instructor for the Friday afternoon Yoga Sculpt class was easy to follow and challenging enough for a great workout. The only improvement I'd suggest is using a headset mic. Although I was just a few mats away, it felt like she was yelling over the music instead of speaking more comfortable with a headset on. Parking may be hectic depending on the time you take a class since it's shared with other businesses and a Vons, so I recommend arriving early. All in all, a good experience and I'd definitely come back.
