My name is Karen, Two friends and I went to Corky's after church, my compliment is for Raelene the server, she was awesome, she was right on top of everything from making sure our water glass was filled, to making sure everything was brought to the table the way we ordered it. She was kind, and pleasant to have as a server, some servers not so much, not at Corky's but other places I have frequented she was engaging. I picked up the Thanksgiving meal for 6 this year. The sliced white meat turkey breast was so moist and tender. The mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon, cranberry sauce and rolls were incredibly good. I'm a southern cornbread stuffing kind of girl but for white bread stuffing, theirs was very good. I have absolutely no complaints on any of the items and the portions were very generous. I made creamed corn and a mashed sweet potato casserole myself and the Thanksgiving meal was fantastic. Another screw up on my online order. I showed up with written email confirmation showing my order and the staff acts like they don't know what I'm talking about. Then somebody comes out and says the manager didn't notify them about my order. I showed up 4 hours later for my order as planned. Now I'm waiting and waiting! Not happy with this place at all. I got the chili verde omlet, the flavor is excellent & not too spicy. However as you can see only cheese inside and only 3 lil pieces (bite size) of pork on top. I complained and she brought a lil bowl that had 2 more pieces. For basically $16 not worth it! To top it off I didn't specify light or dark on my hash browns, but as you can see they were burnt. read more

We spent so long here and it was wholly dissatisfying. We got to the restaurant around 11:45am-the restaurant was not crowded. Its a folksy restaurant, nothing fancy-lots of kitsch on the walls It took over 20 min to get our drink orders (two of them) and a few minutes longer than that to get our order taken. One person in our party ordered two appetizers as their meal (potatoes skins and onion straws); we ordered the chicken tenders from the kids menu with a grilled veggies and bananas for the 1 year old in our group; and one adult ordered a pastrami sandwich, add Swiss with steak fries. Onions came first, then potato skins. Several minutes later came the kids meal. At that time, we were told the sandwich was being made and would be right out-but it was another solid 15 minutes before it came out. The pastrami was fatty and dry-and they left off the cheese. I was told it would be a crispy roll, it wasn't. The steak fries were fresh-but not very much on the plate. It wasn't worth $17, IMHO. We did request the cheese Upcharges be removed and were told they'd remove it-they did remove the cheese but the whole sandwich should have been free. The children's chicken tenders were grilled and generous sized-but the vegetables were huge for a child's plate. There was a generous amount of bananas. The onion straws were good fresh but since no one else had food, they got cold waiting for everyone else to get their food. The potato skins had a creamy stale flavor-we've had them before and these were just off. We were in the restaurant all told for almost 2 hours-it was ridiculous. read more

I struggled with giving Corky's a 3 star review... there's so much I like about it and the food is typically really good. It lands at 3 because it is inconsistent. Definitely a place I would eat any time of day and most of the time it would be a 4 or 5 star event. But then there are the times when it is a 1 or 2 star dining experience. So I am bullseye-placing-it square in the middle. Breakfast is delicious here, on the upside of the greasy spoon scale. Crispy bacon, teeth sinkable toast, omelets, hearty skillets, corned beef and hash, sammies, French toast, pancakes... really, you name it. I'm not an egg fan so the egg dishes here have never tempted me, but I sure do love the breakfast burritos! Large and full of flavor and rib stickin' goodness. Chorizo is my meat of choice on this. French toast is also fantastic, as well as the blueberry pancakes. I really really want to try the Raspberry French Toast, but it is Raspberry CHEESECAKE French Toast and cheesecake is on my most hated list.... but dang does it ever look delicious and for those of you looking to try something a little different, I would recommend!! Lunch and dinner also provides quite a huge selection. I think their cheeseburger is one of the best burger-burgers I've ever had. The brioche bun is toasted and buttery, meat is like homemade and the entire package is juicy and the full dance. Served up with everyone's favorite steak fries. The Cobb Sandwich is a wonderful invention of theirs, never heard of one before but it should be a "thing" because it's delish!! Complete with bleu cheese crumbles, bacon and all!! Mushroom bacon Swiss burger, served on crispy toasted sourdough. Fish and Chips, steaks and chicken pot pie... all are among our favorites at Corky's Normally the Chicken Fried Steak is a good option, however on the last visit, my BIL said it tasted like oatmeal.... sooo...... Now the desserts. You simply cannot go to Corky's without getting something! I mean even a Yelp Check-In gets you a free cookie!! Cookies are AWESOME!! There is also a wide variety of personal pies as well as standard sized pies, cheesecakes, muffins, and those delicious cookies can be made into a cookie sundae, c'mon, so good!! Freshly made shakes, beer, sodas are all available. Service. Hmmm. I'd say typically it is one of three ways. Ever seen the old show Alice? Well, there are all three of those types of servers here; Flo, Vera, and Alice. All are pleasant. The service can be slow, but they also can get really busy... so consider that. We've never been unhappy though, even with the abrupt ones, they are still funny, and will tell you the truth about what to order.. .and what NOT to order. Prices are what to be expected. Diane is always an amazing and attentive server and today was no different. I had a gigantic and delicious Cobb salad, and got to take half of it home for dinner! I'm doing "The Daniel Plan" whole food diet, and when hubby suggested Corky's I wondered what I would be able to order- there were actually a lot of choices on the menu! Corky's rarely disappoints. I would come more often but there are none near me. Today my omelette had a generous portion of bacon and mushrooms. The biscuit without the gravy was a miss but Cameron immediately brought me toast which was very good. Cameron my server was efficient, friendly and very sweet. Truly appreciated her service. As for ambience, it's a coffee shop but clean and pleasing. Definitely recommend if you want good hearty food. read more

Corky's is a more upgraded version of a Denny's with better quality food at slightly higher prices. Today our visit around 11:00AM saw many patrons picking up advance orders of Corky's delicious pies and rolls for Thanksgiving dinners. We were warmly greeted and shown to one of the few available tables as the restaurant was near capacity. My raspberry stuffed french toast combo came loaded with raspberry preserves and topped with powdered sugar and softened butter. The accompanying eggs over easy and two sausage links were done just right. Not for those counting calories, but quite good. My companion chose the Country Benedict which was a mountain of eggs, cheese, hash browns with a side of sausage gravy to pour over everything. Very tasty and very filling. Our server stopped by several times to check on us and keep our beverages topped off. Although the restaurant was very busy this day, there was an army of efficient and friendly staff to ensure short wait times to receive your food and to provide high quality service. Stopped in yesterday for breakfast. Omlet was Ok service was good. The Biscuit was stale and hard as a rock. The waitress offered to replace it but my wife's was hard also, so I passed. The waitress gave us two muffins to make up for it, in our doggy bag. Got home and come to find out the muffins were stale and hard also. They are suppose to have great bakery, not so. The food came out in a timely manner especially because of my server Jolie. She had already clocked out, but took a little extra time to make sure my server received my order. While the person that was supposed to be my server was occupied, Jolie refilled my coffee and delivered my toast. I've had her before and her doing a little extra is not unusual. read more

The Corona location was great. Spacious, super crowded this morning, and still, we didn't wait longer than 5 mins. The food was okay and portions are large. Our server was sweet and checked on us, but no refills offered for coffee or our drinks. Four stars for the service and food. OH MY GOD. The hash browns here are terrible!! The fresh & fit dish was pretty good. But my dad's hash browns are a 10 where this is a 1. These were super crispy on the top, and undercooked in the middle. While being incredibly oily all over. I asked for another with less oil, and it came out in 2 minutes and was basically the same thing (for reference, my dad cooks them for 8 minutes). I'd probably give it a 2 on the second one they gave me, just because they put less oil. Corky's, if you're reading this, please maybe thaw the hash browns and/or cook them longer on a lower flame. You're just serving oily, poorly cooked potato noodles. Anyone who knows a thing about cooking can see that those are not cooked evenly. Get a new chef or teach the current chef how to cook. Absolutely love this place! Service is always good. Had Adrienna as my server this morning. Was quickly acknowledged and my order taken. Had a few special requests like a fruit bowl and avocado on my omelette. Food came out quick and tasty. I've been a customer of this Corky's ever since I moved to Corona 6 years ago and you'll usually find me at the front counter. Kayla the manager keeps the kitchen on focus. It can get quite busy on weekend mornings but they work through it. And all the other servers are passionate about their service. Love this place. Two thumbs up and five stars across the board.
