Location - plenty of parking, easy to spot off Sampson Ambiance - clean, quiet, employees were friendly Service - not too bad, i was in and out under 10 mins. definitely will call in my order next time. Food - ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and an avocado burrito. They were about 6 inches, but the flavor was good! Super close by to work that doesn't involve me going onto McKinley and Buchanan where it's nothing but traffic. I always call ahead and order my sandwich and I am in and out of this place within a few minutes. The staff is really nice, it's a small little cafe in the middle of all the warehouses and auto repairs. They have so many different type of sandwich but my favorite is the Turkey Avocado or the club sandwich on squaw! Simple lunch to get through a long working day. Small deli we were excited to try out because it is close to home. It was a little warm inside, but it had a cool classic little deli feel to it. The service was great and attentive. We had our two babies with us so it took us some time to order and the employee was super patient with us. We got the western burrito with avocado added and a sausage egg and cheese English muffin sandwich. The sandwich was perfect with melty cheese and crunch on the muffin. The burrito tasted great and the egg was nice and soft, but the bacon didn't have any crunch to it and the potatoes seemed a little underdone. I ordered an avocado breakfast burrito with added bacon on Grub Hub. It seemed like it took a long time for it to be made. The Grub Hub driver dropped off my burrito and I realized it was cold. It was not warm at all. I put it in the microwave and opened it to discover it was small. My hand is actually bigger than the burrito. I took a bite and it was tasteless and bland. I added salsa...still bland. Salt and pepper...still bland. I got some hot sauce...now it tasted like hot sauce with no other flavor. I will never order a breakfast burrito from this place again. I ordered a salad for lunch and will update once I eat that. Meh. read more

I always pass by this place and never thought to go into it, but I decided to stop by today on my way home. I got the California sub and it was AMAZINGGGGG!!! The meat , cheese, & veg ratio was PERFECT! I absolutely love that they don't overdo it with the mayo or skimp out on it, they put the right amount. (Visited 12/15/22) Me and a couple of chums were taking the 91 freeway from Torrance to Big Bear for the weekend to go winter camping for the first time. We were looking to fuel up with a tasty breakfast before we endured a weekend of sub 30° activities and we got hungry passing through Corona. We looked up "food" on Apple Maps as one does and Granite Place Cafe shows up with rave reviews and breakfast burritos. Perfect. We drive up and are surprised to see this odd little corner store built into the same warehouse as like 2 or 3 car mechanics, but that wasn't gonna stop us from getting a taste of those burritos. We walked in and met Chris, a super inviting breath of fresh air standing behind the register. We exchange hellos and order our food (Western Burritos all around) before taking our seat. We start chatting with Chris and before we know it we're exchanging campsites, views, and stories about our times in the wilderness. He's excited to hear what we're attempting and he hooks us up with some great instant spicy ramen that kept us nice and toasty in the snow. By this time our burritos are ready--and they are excellent. Perfect ratio of all ingredients, great flavor, and it comes with a salsa and a chili paste that ties it all together. I also got myself an English muffin sandwich for a few bucks and a Taro smoothie, both of which were super yummy. From the food to the conversation with Chris, our visit to Granite Place Cafe was an incredible success. I would recommend this place to anyone and If I ever head up the 91 to Big Bear again then I will absolutely stop back in for some food and story sharing. The roll was really good nice and fresh but really thick . They put one slice of turkey folded in half on my sandwich . All bread and lettuce not enough of meat . All you can taste is bread . Also the chips is a 1 oz bag . Gone in 4 bites didn't even Finnish half of the sandwich . The other sandwich was the same . Funny how all the good reviews on here are a year or two ago . I would come here off and on quite a bit because I worked in the buildings off of Sampson for years. My manager would treat to lunch and I would go pick it up. Food is elementary school lunch line quality. Prices reflect that, so it's fair. I would prefer to skip a free lunch at times over eating here. You could go to the store, buy the stuff and make it tastier and more presentable. If you're looking to get food with the change in your car, this is a good spot. read more

Out of curiosity, we had to check out this little place. It is obviously intended to be a quick breakfast/lunch place and a to-go business for the surrounding industrial park. A few tables, nothing outdoors. Clean. Nothing more, nothing less. It is only open on the weekdays, and does not serve breakfast items past 10 am. However, they did make an exception for me this time. Appreciated. My take - it's OK. Nothing to write home about, but the prices are quite reasonable, and what we had (a breakfast burrito and a tuna sandwich) were good but small. But they did not make a big dent in the wallet either. You can get a breakfast item or a sandwich combo from between $3 to around $5. Also appreciated. Good for the working person on a tight budget and for one who has little time. read more

It's small and charming that serves a limited breakfast and lunch menu composed of sandwiches as well as eggs complimented with a variety of sides dishes Granite Place Cafe is located in an industrial area and it was clear to me that those, who work in the area, are their primary clients. The owner, who took my order, was also friendly and congenial. During my visit I noticed a steady stream of people who bantered and joked with both owners. Clearly, they are invested in this "community". I ordered scrambled egg, sausage, hash browns toast and coffee ($3.75). The food wasn't particularly remarkable but filling and delicious. Wow. Just wow. I was craving a breakfast burrito and found this place nearby. I have my regular burrito spots that I know are too greasy so I opted for this place. I ordered a Denver Burrito and an Avocado Burrito. First off, the burritos were picture perfect. The owners cut it in half and my eyes glazed over when I split the burrito apart. All the ingredients were perfectly mixed. It's weird when I think about how well ingredients are mixed, but this allowed every bite, and I mean EVERY BITE to be a perfect bite. And presentation wise, the burrito was better wrapped than a newborn baby in a blanket! The owners were very nice and the shop itself was very clean with warm decor. It appears from other reviews on this place that it's a cherished gem of a deli from the locals here in riverside/corona. First of all the place when walking in is clean, warm, and inviting! The man behind the counter (Mr Kim I presume) welcomed me in with a smile and took my order. The "Cool Twist" in Soon K.'s picture is what brought me here as it looked delicious. Basically a spruced up egg salad prepared with a little love in a lettuce wrap and cut cucumbers and carrot on the side. Some ritz crackers for good measure ;) The taste was very good and fresh. My coworker, Clint H. suggested this little ma and pa sandwich shop for lunch. Prices are reasonable and they have a wide selection of sandwiches. I ordered the warm 8" Swiss sandwich which comes with lettuce, ham, mayo, extra Swiss cheese all on sourdough bread. It took them less than 5 minutes to have my sandwich ready. I ordered the combo with large chips and a drink. All this totaled to $8.50, not bad if you ask me. This was a good lunch that satisfied my appetite. Staff is friendly and they do a great job of making sure people who come in here leave satisfied.
