This place does not deserve their current rating. Was willing to give it a try since it was right across the street from where I was staying. I typically do not go to places with yellow stars but what the heck. First off the place is big,bright,and clean with lots of places to sit and relax with coffee or sweet tea. There was a pleasant man who took my order right away at the counter. My food was brought out promptly to my table ( sorry no pic ), it was all fresh and absolutely delicious. I was made to feel like there was no rush to get out of here ( real southern pace ). I can tell you that just from what I observed while sitting here, the portions are great, great for families with kids or if you just what to recharge for the day. Place looks great from the outside but it's almost never open. Hours are short and tbh I didn't enjoy the food. I got the spinach avocado melt and it was lacking in flavor. I was in town for a conference and stopped by on a Monday morning. Convenient location across the Hyatt if looking for something a little less expensive than hotel breakfast food. I ordered the Anaheim Panini- it was definitely yummy. Just wish it was a bit more toasted. The coffee was so watered down- and they only offered skim or soy milk.. I think they ran out of other milk, half and half, etc and didn't staff for the amount of people that were in town for the various conferences and conventions. read more

After walking around the area I ended up here for breakfast. It is directly across from my hotel so it is very convenient. You order your food at the counter and someone brings your food out to you. The food is very decent and the prices are very fair. I had a bacon, egg and cheddar panini. It was nothing to brag about but it was good ($5.79). The bread was plain white bread pressed on a panini press. The waffles looked good, but I didn't try them. The restaurant is clean, bright and spacious. They even have some outdoor seating that is covered. The staff was pleasant and the wait time was what you'd expect. Overall it is a very good, no frills breakfast, lunch, or snack spot. read more

I love eating at this place once a week. The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing too. I would recommend the half pasta-half soup or half panini - half soup combo for lunch. They serve delicious food pretty fast at a reasonable price. It can't get better. This was my first time visiting any Corner Bakery location. From the name, it sounded just like an Atlanta Bread Company or Panera. I'd say that I wasn't too far off with the first impression. They have soups, sandwiches, pastas, and salads. You can do a half salad, half soup, half sandwich (a combination of two) for your meal, but you are limited to a set list of menu items. I'd have to complain that the cashiers are not very helpful. The display board does not clearly indicate which sandwiches, soups, salads are part of the combo deal, and I don't particularly like changing an order just because it is a dollar extra. Instead, I'd prefer to know before making my decisions. . There are actually quite a few combos but, again, to me the display is not that clear and I felt a bit rushed when I was ordering. I ended up getting the half California Grille and half tomato basil soup. One small thing that might just be specific to me - I do not like eating out of to-go containers when I am dining in, unless they run out then... well, they ran out. The sandwich was mediocre, at best. The bread was soggy, and I wasn't a big fan of their zucchini or artichoke hearts. My friend's turkey sandwich looked really tasty though. The tomato basil soup was okay as well. My favorite quick-service tomato basil is probably La Madeleine's. I found Corner Bakery's on the sweet side. The meal also comes with a bag of chips that I could take or leave. This is a decent lunch-time spot, just past Peachtree Center if you are walking from the Marta station. I was able to get in and out in under and hour, while still filling up on some okay food. I think next time I may consider trying a pasta or a non-vegetarian sandwich. read more

Corner Bakery is a chain and similar to your Panera/ABC set up. You stand in line for the register, order, they give you a number you put on your table, and the food is delivered. Drinks are serve yourself (coke products, water, tea). It's a solid option for lunch here in the downtown area. It doesn't blow me away or anything, but the quality is consistent and they bring your food in a timely manner. It is always hopping at the lunch hour, so be prepared to scout out a table! I prefer the paninis because to me, a hot sandwich seems more filling and satisfying than a cold one. I wish I had more to say, but it is just your run of the mill chain sandwich shop. read more

Came here twice on my trip to Atlanta for a week. The first time I came here, I was sick, so instead of going around to restaurants that Atlanta is known for, like Chicken & Waffles, I came here for some soup. I got the sandwich combo with soup. I ordered the Uptown Turkey, it was okay, needed some more flavor in the sauce. The combo is about $7 and I got chicken noodle soup with it. I was kinda disappointed with my food. My friend let me try her pasta and I fell in love with it. I came here a second time before I had to leave Altanta so that I could get the pasta. It's called Pesto Cavatappi. I ordered it alone instead of with a combo, in hopes that I would get more pasta. I didn't notice a difference in size though. The pasta alone was about $8. I love how they have a selection of sweets in display near where you order. They look so appetizing. Got to try their whoopie pie, delish! Service was also superb! read more

Corner Bakery is a lunch favorite of mine and I swear if it wasn't so pricey, I'd probably eat here for lunch everyday. They have an endless array of soups, pastas and sandwiches of which my favorite is the Uptown Turkey (basically your standard turkey sandwich with avocado & bacon - I usually get it toasted on wheat bread). My last visit however, I had the BBLT (Bacon Bacon Lettuce & Tomato), which is seasonal because they use locally grown tomatoes. If you hate bacon & tomatoes this is not the sandwich for you as they use plenty of both. It comes on toasted white bread and has a balsamic mayo that's soooooooooo good. All of their sandwiches are served with chips & a pickle. Their iced sweet and black teas are especially good. I usually grab a slice of their coffee cake with my lunch as well and it's divine. Perfect consistency, not too hard or too soft, not too sweet, just perfect. If you work in the downtown area, say near Peachtree Center, its a short walk to Corner Bakery. Lunch times are busy of course and with all the hotels around and conventions/activities that come here, this location can get very crowded between 12-2 in the afternoon, but it's worth it. The wait is never too long and the service is great! I have yet to try their breakfast, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. :) read more

The Corner Bakery Cafe is a great place tucked along Peachtree Street. Missed breakfast, so opted for one of their salads...the Chopped Salad. Topped with roast chicken, bacon, avocado, blue cheese crumbles, and scallions. It comes tossed with the house vinaigrette. I like vinaigrettes...even balsamics, but on my last visit found theirs too sweet for my taste. Other dressings are available. The salad is mixed so well and features so many complimentary flavors that I actually prefer no dressing at all...maybe some here and there. read more

Horrible. We came in at 11am. No breakfast menu was provided. We ordered the Anaheim Scrambler and Bacon Egg and Cheddar Panini. Both was suppose to come with grits and fruits. When the waitress dropped off the food they said that they don't serve grits after 11 and given us another side of fruits without us asking what our options are. The potions were small. Bread wasn't a traditional panini bread. The tables were dirty. The coffee was subpar. If you want to enjoy what you eat and spend your money wisely. Please go somewhere else (Burger King) thats more worthy. read more

Monday morning we decided to walk to the Corner Bakery before heading to the airport to catch our flight. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was really impressed with the food. They offer more than just baked goods. I can't remember what my breakfast meal was called--might have been a Farmer's Scrambler, but it had eggs, potatoes, and toast. While traveling to Atlanta, I used Yelp to find a god breakfast spot. This place was fantastic! It is very clean, not noisy and the perfect place to have a bite to eat whether alone or with business associates. The items on the menu board show the calories of each item and the pictures are exactly what comes to the table. The staff is very friendly and attentive and deliver your food to the table as well as remove the dishes when you are finished. Oh, did I say that the food was delicious? A group of coworkers and I ate here for 9 days on a row at breakfast time because our hotel's breakfast bar was kind of sketchy. The food was no different than other corner bakeries, but the service was EXCEPTIONAL! Everyone was super friendly and they went out of their way to accommodate the customers. I started a new job recently and this has become my lunch choice on those rare days I go out. Corner Bakery is similar to Panera--they have combos, soups, salads, sandwiches. The prices are a bit high--expect to spend about $10 for lunch for a sandwich, chips, and a drink. I tried the egg salad when I was mid-craving, and it was good, but not as good as my egg salad. My go-to sandwich is definitely the tomato and mozzarella. I'm pretty much game for mozzarella any time, any place, so this one is definitely in my wheelhouse. One note: you could easily eat well over 1000 calories here. The website has a great nutrition calculator that allows you to customize your options, which has helped me walk away with just a 500-600 calorie dent instead.
