2 stars...Meh. I've experience better. Great food, wonderful presentation, slow service, ATROCIOUS execution! If you are ordering for a business meeting I would strongly suggest another restaurant. My office staff is hooked on this place so I'm stuck with it. Every single solitary time I've placed a lunch order here, something has been wrong with it. Which amazes me because I order on-line. How hard is it to read a damn screen?!?!?!?! A few more examples... Their uncut sandwiches are probably 6" in width yet they delivered the small saucer plates that are about 4" across. See the problem? We ended up using unfolded napkins as plates. I usually pick up our orders to avoid the delivery fee (we're pretty close). Once I picked up an order and the bottom of the bag was wet. I didn't realize it until I made it back to my office. Almost lost the entire order in the parking lot! No spills inside the bag. Apparently it was staged on a wet counter top. I stood at the 'On-line orders' pick up counter and waited for someone to approach. Finally, one of the employees acknowledges me and tells me the register is closed. I had to get in line with the walk ins. Ummmm the reason I place order on-line is so that I don't have to get in-line. Grrrrr! When you place order on-line, you must specify a pick up time. Choose a time 15 minutes earlier than you actually need it. It's the only way it will be ready on time. Ordering lunch should be the easiest part of a persons work day right? Came here for lunch with a couple of colleagues at the recommendation of one of them. The place is cute and clean. Plenty of options on the menu and the service was friendly and quick (although the cashier felt the need to point out that what I ordered had no meat in it...no idea why he thought maybe I didn't know that). I had a combo meal-California Grille Panini and Tomato Bruschetta salad. Everything was fresh and tasty-the salad really did taste like bruschetta. This bakery is full of great food options, from sandwiches, to pastries, to cakes, to salads and whatever you may be craving. I tried their Cali Panini and oh my was I surprised. You know how much I love artichokes so this was perfect for me. You wouldn't think it would go well but you have to try this sandwich it was perfect. It had melted cheese w squash and other ingredients. Take my word for it.. it's so good it will leave you wanting to come back. They also have a great variety of pastries and coffee drinks which is great if you need a pick me up after a long day. I'll start by saying that I'm kind of addicted to Corner Bakery. BLAKE is our favorite at this location. Just tried a new salad today at his recommendation, although I usually go for the Uptown Turkey. Oh... And be sure to try your next sandwich on a pretzel roll! Dessert: my faves are the monster cookie and the lemon bar! BONUS: great place for quick meetings. Ehh I've actually bumped this up from what I think is really 2 and 1/2 stars...food is just mediocre and in small portions. Their paninis are, make no mistake about it, good, but have nothing that make it special. Although portions are small, they're still pretty filling. My friend ordered the egg, spinach, and avocado flatbread and it did not live up to her expectations. She said it was so so bland and kept pouring salt and pepper to add some flavor. I recommend the Anaheim panini or if you want to be healthier, the scrambled version of that. I cannot emphasize enough the awful service this location provides. It truly is a shame because corner bakery serves great food. The staff here have managed to mess up my to go order every time I have ordered. It's usually something small like putting cheese where I asked for no cheese or serving one soup with bread and the other soup without it. However, it has gradually grown to larger mistakes like forgetting to put chips and soup in, or giving me the wrong sandwich completely. They always try to remedy the situation by offering a free drink.. when I already have a drink paid for and the food is clearly just for one person. Today we hit a new low, I ordered my food and was actually surprised when I initially checked that there were no mistakes. However as I brought the sandwich back to work, the top slice of bread fell off to reveal a hair in the sandwich! Immediately I took the food back to ask for a refund. I was greeted by a rude cashier who tried to only return the sandwich and make me pay for my soup which was untouched. Disgusted by the unsanitary conditions the food is prepared in, I obviously was not going to have the soup. Needless to say, this place is not worth the money, and they could care less for your business! read more

Thought it would get better..Big Mistake!!! I spent 20 minutes tonight, from 6:15 to 6:35 PM waiting for a "to go" order of soup. Never mind the place was empty... never mind the cashier "Patricia M" was doing absolutely nothing, never mind I only ordered 1 item, never mind the soup was already prepared and all she had to do was turn around, step 1 step, and spend 60 seconds to put it into a paper cup. Apparently at Corner Bakery that is too much to ask. The lost 20 minutes of my life I will never get back. Who manages this place?? They really need a serious housecleaning. My experience at this corner was beyond unsatisfactory. Each item in my breakfast as noticeably cold. I took my breakplate to the manager and told her it was cold, a few minute later returned it warmed up, with made the food that much unbearable. At this point she returned with a plate that appeared to be all new food. By this time, I lost the taste for my meal. I then asked the manager was this acceptable that she warmed food up instead of fixing all new food. The sad thing about the entire this is that she made an attempt tol justify this crap. Yesterday my husband picked us up lunch from this corner bakery. There was a customer that cane in with a very similar name (we found out later) right behind him that also ordered to go. The orders got mixed up by accident and my husband came home with the wrong food. I headed back to exchange the food and gave the restaurant a call on my way back to let them know about the mix up. Jackie answered and already knew what was going on. She was so nice and accommodating and told me she'd have the correct order ready for me. She even brought out my food right when I got there bc I had a small baby with me. And she gave me coupons for next time and was so apologetic. The food is good, but don't get there before they close. We were there 15 minutes before they closed. Mind you we wanted an order to go. The staff ignored us. They kept doing what they were doing. No acknowledgement what so ever. If you don't want to serve people before you close just lock the door and people won't bother to come in. I wished I had gloves and a coat on to eat my salad and forget about getting any work done-- it's too cold to write or type. Today, I asked the server if they could possibly adjust the A/C, as I could feel the cold air blasting. My request was met with a chorus of "yes, please" from the other people sitting in the section, but they did nothing. It's a shame. Well this is the thing, I'm vegetarian and in most places when I order something with no meat, the restaurants offers me to substitute that with guacamole, extra cheese or anything.
