I was wary of coming to this location based on the recent reviews, but they did well with my order this evening. My husband and I came in and ordered a Parmesan-Crusted Chicken and the Cuban Press. The portion and presentation of my Parm Chicken was perfect. This isn't Maggiano's Little Italy or anything, but the flavors were delicious. My husband was less than impressed with the presentation of his Cuban Press, but at first bite he immediately changed his tune. Again, the "simple" sandwich had great flavor. Post dinner drinks included Large Chai lattes and baked goods. We got a slice of cinnamon cream cake and a baby chocolate bundt cake. The Chais were hot and the cakes were so moist and not too sweet. As mentioned in other reviews, each booth and the majority of seating areas feature outlets and there IS WIFI.. and it IS FREE. I'll definitely be back. read more

This is a favorite restaurant of my sister. I have potentially deadly food allergies. I had called ahead and the person answering the phone was able to answer my questions promptly. I went with my sister and 10 year old niece. I was impressed that the lady taking our orders addressed her questions about my niece's order to my niece and not to the adults. Our food was promptly delivered to our table. Niece had the macaroni and cheese, which she loved. I had the steak sandwich, it was delicious. My sister enjoyed her baked potato soup and sandwich. The servings were more than generous. I ended up taking 1/2 of my sandwich home for dinner, and my niece took a good portion of her macaroni and cheese home. The tables are each set up with an outlet for charging devices. My sister mentioned that she would often catch up on work after eating here, before heading to her next appointment. read more

The location and interior are pristine. Recently renovated, this store is one of the best CBs I've been to. Breakfast was flawless as usual. I had the Anaheim scrambler with the two pancakes on the side. Delicious!! The scrambler is so satisfying, with avocado, bacon and cheese. The pancakes were super tasty and fluffy, served with warm syrup on the side. Amazing. Service is great. Smiling faces at the counter and bussers/manager roaming the front of the house. Prices are super reasonable for what you get. Even the coffee is decent. Only wish they had wifi and outlets, but am sure it's a tactical move to deter coffee-only squatters. read more

I've heard of Corner Bakery many times before, but now that one opened close to where I live I got to try it for the first time. The set up is cute and you definitely get a charming café feel. The presentation of all the desserts and pastries was nice. I ordered the Chicken Pesto sandwich with a side caesar salad. When I received my plate it had a nice presentation, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the sandwich served on a slim ciabatta bun versus the overwhelmingly huge ciabatta buns you usually see. The sandwich was fresh and the quality of the chicken was excellent, however my only complaint about the sandwich is that the pesto flavor was way too mild. Once I saw the sandwich on the menu I immediately was really craving pesto flavor which is why I ordered the sandwich. I just wish the chicken itself had more pesto flavor or that the pesto mayo in the sandwich was more robust. If I were to order the sandwich again I think I'd order extra pesto mayo on the side to see if it helps with the flavor. The place just opened so they had some dessert samples the day I was there. I tried the mini sugar cookies and they were SO GOOD. Perfectly chewy, and I love when sugar cookies have the crystallized sugar on top. I highly recommend trying the sugar cookie when you go there. Overall Corner Bakery has lots of menu choices and the quality of the food is good so I'll be coming back again. read more

Went here for dinner ordered the cheese steak and linguine + meatballs. I asked for no mushroom in the sandwich. Waited more than 15mins for my order. They messed the order up and gave me mushrooms and forgot to put the meatball in the linguine. How do u forget the meatballs if it's called "linguine and meatballs". So they took my whole order back, waited awhile and a waiter comes back saying "oh if you don't want mushrooms, we have to take out the onion and peppers". (I honestly thought everyhing was prepared fresh) After I get my fixed sandwich the waiter comes back and says we're out of meatballs. So I had to order somethin else after them messing up many times and waiting 40 minutes. The general manager is no where to be seen. I wasn't even expecting an apology, but it would of been nice. I was a first time guest but definitely be my last time there. A friend and I went in for a quick lunch during a work week. We placed the order and paid with a gift card. The manager told us that the GC was declined. We called the number on the card to find that the full balance was still in the card. We addressed this with the manager but all he kept saying was that on his end the card was declining. I asked what the next step was and he said, "there is no next step." I then asked to speak to a manager (not knowing he was a manager at the time) and with a big smile on his face he said that he was the manager. I then asked to speak to somebody above him and he said that he was the only one there. I paid with my card because that back and forth debate took about 20 min of our lunch time. We then sat down and waited for our food not 5 min, not 10 min, not 15, THE FOOD NEVER CAME! I got up and started asking people where the food was at and NO ONE knew. Meanwhile as I am asking around for the food, the lovely person they hired to be a manager was talking to other guest about my friend and I. They were sitting there laughing at us. Obviously mad I went back to the manager and asked for a refund because my food never came. He offered ZERO interest in finding out what the problem was or where my food was at. We had a back and forth because he asked me to "Calm down." Calm down? I practically wasted my hour long break trying to get a soup and salad and this crazy being offered no help plus laughed in my face and he's asking me to calm down? The next step was to call corporate offices but surprise surprise, no answer to my 20 calls, no return call, left several voicemails and nothing. To be honest, however, I am not surprised at all. Id corporate doesn't bother dealing with their costumers why should that manager worry? Like father like son. My money is yet to be refunded and here I am letting everyone know that this place is an absolute mess. Please try other alternatives. read more

I'm generally a moderate Corner Bakery Cafe fan. I like the ease of ordering online and picking it up in the store. Also, the cookies are very delicious! What I do NOT like is how Sloppy Sandwich Mondays are not clearly advertised. If I knew that I would receive a lop-sided, lumpy turkey sandwich, I would have ordered my lunch from somewhere that crafts their sandwiches with respect and love. The avocado ($1 extra) was not evenly distributed. The tomatoes were stacked at varying thicknesses. The top piece of bread was cut nicely down the middle. The bottom piece of bread was cut diagonallyish and off-center. Had it been an Instagram photo, it would have been nicely composed. However, the reality is Instagram and sandwiches have little in common when it comes to standards. If the Mom's Turkey Sandwich is $5.99 for materials and labor (avocado excluded), the least you could do is give us $2 back for poorly made, lumpy sandwiches. Do better. read more

It's basically a Panera. And I would rate panera better. I originally ordered the Cuban but they were out. I changed my order to the steak and cheese. From the description It sounded like a French dip. It said in the menu it comes with dipping sauce. It came with a sweet salsa type thing? My kids got Mac n cheese. Which they liked but they're 6 and 4 what do they care. I tried the Mac and cheese myself though and it was the most watery flavorless Mac and cheese ever. Meh. Wouldn't come back, but my dear grandmother loves it so I imagine I'll be back. read more

Customer service is lacking. Counter clerks are not bothered with customers who wait for a chance the get their attention to order. I've had the experience repeatedly over the last few visits when ordering the counter clerk rings up the wrong order, proceeds to get a pastry which I didn't order, blow into the bag prior to placing the pastry inside as well as grabbing the fork by the tines flipping it around then place the fork into the utensil bag to hand to me. I have made notice to company website as I don't see a manager on duty in the mornings. But see no changes. This morning the counter clerks started a fire while warming something up. The bagel I ordered was luke warm at best. Coffee is the best but not good enough to continue to patronize this place. I'm gone. read more

We don't usually eat at chains and this is a Cafe Express / Panera type clone with sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta, sweets, and coffee, but it was not bad, just forgettable. It's telling that I had already forgotten the name of this place 4 hours after lunch and had find the menu in my purse to write this review. We both liked our sandwiches very much, although they are no bargain at around 8 bucks each. My California Grille, a toasted veggie panini, was filled with zuccini, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, pesto, spinach and provolone. Bread makes any sandwich and the Whole Grain Harvest was crunchy and delicious. Hubby got an Uptown Turkey on Harvest Toast piled high with sliced turkey that tasted almost like it was freshly-carved, applewood smoked bacon, and avocado. Both were very tasty and filling. Sandwiches come with chips and a pickle spear, but we both opted for a side of Caesar Salad, which was a mistake, especially at 1.49 extra. The romaine was tired and limp and some of mine had brown edges. I suspect that the dressing had been put on waaayyy before the lunch rush. This happens everywhere at some point, but one of our "clean" knives was sticky with syrup and had a piece of dried food on it. We didn't mention it. Will we go back? Maybe, but it won't be because either one of us wakes up on a Saturday and says, "Hey Honey! Let's go to Corner Bakery Cafe! Must. Have. Now." My 3 stars should really be a 2.5. read more

Not worth the money. My office usually orders online. First time trying this restaurant, I ordered the chicken pesto. Not much chicken and the pasta was just salty noodles. I agreed to try it again. This time ordering the Santa Fe Chicken salad. This time they left the chicken off of the salad, leaving me just lettuce, tomato, corn and cheese. Terrible place. I went there and ordered the caprese panini sandwich. It said it comes with two sandwiches and chips. Needless to say the lady brought one folded panini sandwich and chips. Wth? So I went back at the counter and showed her the menu. They said fine and it was going to be a few minutes. Both paninis were folded-barely grilled. There was tomatoes, slight dressing, mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and basil. There was barely any effort put into it. Some tomatoes were really chopped and some were not. Last time I checked paninis were cut and not folded. I paid $7.99 for this?!?!? My mom ordered the gobbler which the bread was straight out of the fridge and therefore ice cold. This is our second time to this location, since I couldn't remember my first experience. I typically shy away from bad reviews, but I cannot stay silent. Although the meals LOOK appetizing on the menu, the actual breakfast meal was quite disappointing. The food was lukewarm to cold and the service was lacking in focus. The staff is young and needs more customer service training. My recommendation is to have the staff try out the food itself and offer glowing recommendations to engage the customers and of course get the food out to the tables in a timely manner so it does not arrive cold. read more

I had a wonderful experience dining here for lunch. From the counter ordering the worker made good suggestions was very polite and offered me a sample of the broccoli and cheese which I ordered. I had the Uptown Turkey and broccoli & cheese. Our food came out within 5 minutes of sitting down. It was pretty quick which was cool. I was very pleased with the presentation, timing of food delivery and the quality of the food. I asked for fruit instead of the chips and the worker places his tub on the floor and dashed to the back like superman to brought it right out. I thought it was nice there was a sense of urgency. Right as we finished eating a worker came to collect our plates. Literally as we finished no delay in dirty plates on the table. The manager even asked us how is everything going . It's always great to see management interact with customers and be a part of their experience. I will be back. read more

My best friend and I were excited about our post-workout lunch today. It was our first time...we won't be back. We checked out the menu on the way from Memorial Park and she was so excited about trying the roast beef and goat cheese sandwich...hoping it would come with an au jus. The guy taking our order had apparently never heard of the standard roast beef doing sauce. He kept talking about spreads that could go on the sandwich. After it was obvious he doesn't know what we were talking about, she ordered the combo with half a roast beef and half mixed greens. My turn. I tried the California grille combo with mixed greens. I asked about the salad dressing options; there were none. It comes with the house dressing. What's the house dressing? The guy didn't know. It's it a vinaigrette? Yes... Maybe he needs to study the menu. The dressing was too sweet and salads were heavily dressed. The sandwiches were not great. Veggies weren't fresh, almost rubbery. The bread on the roast beef sandwich was just not good. I'm glad my half a panini was at least crispy and warm. The decor/ambiance? Ugh...reminded me of sweet tomatoes or panera. This has been a good location that I attend frequently, but service and attitude has been on the decline recently. Cashier's have been a bit spacey and distracted when placing your order. On 3/10/2018, I was there in the morning and something always seemed to be out - the coffee machines were slow to be re-filled when empty, and at one point the only creamer available was soy milk. Also, there was not one ketchup bottle available, so when I asked a worker if I could have one she pointed to someone else's table and told me to grab their bottle - basically, just steal their ketchup. When I told her I'd rather not take someone else's bottle she opened up a cabinet that probably had about 10 bottles and she begrudgingly handed it over. I don't know what's going on this location is usually fantastic. I hope it improves. read more

I come here for one menu item specifically- the lemon chicken orzo soup! It's amazing! I rave to all my friends about it. This restaurant (as well as the other corner bakery locations) just about always has a friendly staff, is very clean, and offers quick service. The atmosphere is conducive to reading or bringing a laptop for work/school. I only short them one star because the value could be just a bit better- a bowl of soup (I'd guess 6oz) is around $5.40... and I'm a poor college kid :) read more

Dropped in to get a quick sandwich and it took over 25 minutes. Bought some of their raisin bread tried it while I was waiting since I was starving and it was stale. To get back up to the counter to get my refund and the counter guy rang it up instead of giving me credit. Had to wait for the manager to come out he couldn't figure out how to use the cash register finally after 10 minutes of that I had to go.
