    Garden Gate Scrambler (V)
    Micheal A.

My wife and I went here on a Saturday morning right before the first college football game on the year. The service was great, and the food was made super timely, but I wasn't a fan of the garden gate scrambler. The eggs with the heated spinach didn't really make it tasty but the potatoes tasted good. The Caramel Machiatto is a must-try! Really liked the sweetness of it.

Italian panini, side Caesar and chocolate bundt cake. 100% awesome!

Comparable to Panera but I like this spot so much more. Maybe it's that I can choose a legit side salad instead of just a bag of chips, or the darker decor with more booths and a nicer patio but I'm just happier here. It's usually less crowded too! The staff are friendly and full of smiles and hospitality. The rustic Italian panini has a spicy edge and with the melty cheese ham and pepperoni.. Very crave-able!

We got the two combo. My bf got salad and panini, I got pasta and soup

I wanted to have this for lunch as this used to be a place I went to back in college for lunch. Everything still taste fantastic as expected. The waitress lady was super duper sweet so that gives this place a 5 stars! Definitely coming back for more

    Dry cinnamon crumb muffin

It's rare for me to buy pastries because I bake myself. But, wanted to see what a cafe was charging for a cinnamon roll and to taste, I wasn't impressed. The cinnamon roll wasn't nasty, but nothing I'd purchase again. I didn't taste any cinnamon in the roll and whatever was in the roll was like a cream and the cinnamon crumb muffin was dry. $8+ and I have no plans to go back!.

this was my first time here! i just moved nearby and was excited to explore the nearby spots, but was a little disappointed going in. it's giving glorified panera. the only differences between corner bakery cafe and panera is that they serve the food to you and take the plates afterwards. the general manager, Bill B., was in at the cash register, he sounded really agressive and rude tbh. we are all human so i get having bad days but geez he was really off putting and it made the experience kinda mid. the food was good! probably a 3/5 but it was definitely something you could just make at home.

Since this was my first visit to the Corner Bakery Cafe, I can only review it from a carryout perspective, so I'm withholding the 5th star for my next review, hoping it's as good the second time around. I will definitely be back! But this experience was good enough for me to call them after I started eating my Grilled Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and say "Perfect sandwich, great customer service, and your Side Dishes are 100 times better than Panera's!" My side was an actual classic Caesar Salad, NOT a package of awful potato chips, a rotting apple, or a really hard hunk of bread! Also, my sandwich was big and full of real (not pressed) chicken, and I got all that for about $10! One last thing...the ladies restroom was really clean and well-maintained. That's one criterion I judge any restaurant on, and an important sign that a restaurant cares about its customers.

The ham and Swiss for $ 9.50!!!!! Really? You guys should be better than this!!!!

Carved ham sandwich has One thin slice of ham and one triangle of Swiss on stale bread. Very disappointing. Would not come back.

    Chocolate Muffins

Stopped by to see if they had a muffin or two. I heard about this place/ they catered a breakfast years ago. I feel in love with the chocolate muffin and pop in when ever I am on that side of town to see if there are any instock. Today I was in luck and scored a chocolate as well as Banana muffin. The banana recipe has changed over the years (for the better) If you are in the area definitely try them out you wont be sorry.

The western omelet was really good, plenty of cheese. Their hashbrowns had a nice crisp to them/ their sourdough toast was buttered and very crispy, I really enjoy a good slice of sourdough. The burrito was also really good, packed full. Chose chorizo as the meat and it was very tasty. Also tried the lemon ricotta pancakes which were the perfect amount of sweet and zest. They're regular pancakes topped with a raspberry sauce and lemon zest. I would definitely come back but aim for an outdoor seat.

The cilantro was super fresh, the pork was flavorful, and the potatoes tied it all together perfectly. Portion size was just right and the price felt fair for what you get. On this last visit I got the West Coast Omelet (bacon, onions, tomatoes, and cheese topped with a couple of avocado slices). It comes with a side of rosemary potatoes and an English muffin. I swapped the muffin for a biscuit. I had forgotten their biscuits are more similar to a cross between cornbread and cake. I'd prefer just a regular biscuit even though their style of biscuit is interesting. The omelet and biscuit was large. The rosemary potatoes are delicious and I'd have loved to have a bit more of them. I really enjoyed the omelet as well! I had to take about half of the omelet and biscuit to go. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I think there dishes tend to be a bit more sweet and while I love sweet, if I'm eating savory, I'm picky about the sweetness. I think that is a personal preference and I'm sure some people love it. My server was Kat (Katerina) and she was great. Very patient and helpful. She happened to be my server both times I've been there! The restaurant is very clean with a comfortable, welcoming environment. It's always nice to see their messages of kindness. We could use a lot more of that these days! Cruelty seems to be in fashion now. It's refreshing to go somewhere promoting kindness! I'd go back just for that bit the service is outstanding and the food is really good!

This spot is owned by the same team behind Kate's Kitchen up north--which I've always found fantastic--and I'm happy to report this location is on that same elite wavelength. The Experience: The atmosphere is clean and impressively airy, making for a great morning vibe. Both the hostess and server were exceptionally engaging, even providing a personal water pitcher for the table--a small touch that makes a huge difference. The Food: Chicken Fried Chicken: This is the real deal. It was clearly prepared fresh, not frozen, which is a rarity these days. The Sides: The home potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the gravy was thick, peppery, and hit all the right notes. The Biscuit: This "super-sized" biscuit was essentially the icing on the cake. The Eggs: I ordered my eggs poached soft. They arrived a bit too soft (runny yolk was the goal, but these were just under), though in fairness, that's likely on me for the specific request! Verdict: If you want a breakfast that feels home-cooked with high-quality ingredients and attentive service, this is the place. I'll definitely be back for their famous French toast and medium poached eggs .

We were seated immediately, and our waitress was pleasant. I ordered a make your own breakfast meal. I had eggs, gluten-free blueberry, pancakes, and sausage patties. My husband had the corned beef hash meal. The breakfast came out and a reasonable time. My husband enjoyed his and they pride themselves on having a lot of homemade food. My food was good as well, except the sausage patties were slightly overcooked. The gluten-free pancakes were excellent and I'm so happy that they have them since not a lot of places have that choice. The restaurant is a homey atmosphere and it seemed like they had a lot of regulars. My husband used the restroom and I think that the men's restroom doubles as having some utility items in there like a mop and so forth. But he said there was a cabinet that had Styrofoam cups that were facing forward, which probably should not be in there. That is the only reason I gave it to four. We would definitely come back even though it is a little bit of a drive for us.
