    Traditional Pancake Flight (avoid)

I'd like to forget this meal happened. Based on the yelp pictures I saw, I thought this place was going to be a 5 star meal. Besides how friendly the service was and the tasty syrup for the pancakes, there was nothing else enjoyable about this meal. The pancakes were bland, eggs benedict fine, hash browns basic. My whole family left dissappinted and my wallet left thinner.

We tried this place for the first time yesterday. This one was a little hard to rate - the food was GREAT!! Everything tasted fabulous! So no problems there at all. But...the service wasn't very good. The coffee didn't come before the meal, and we had to flag her down for that. Then there was no coffee refill, so my husband just went and helped himself. He asked for toast before the meal, and that didn't happen - at least it did come with the meal. We also never got a bill where we could see totals of everything, we had to ask for that separately. Our server was very nice, she just wasn't really on top of things. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm wondering if maybe she couldn't hear us well, the music is a bit on the loud side outside where we ate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But food was so good. Overall it was an ok experience, and we'll be back to try again. Food was awesome!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This breakfast spot was so open and inviting! We went on a rainy day and all of the windows made it feel so cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was wonderful! Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out quickly. The cold brew was good, including the cold foam, though the foam was more stiff than foam. Yummy nonetheless. The food was tasty with the perfect portion sizes. The one thing that was a little disappointing was the lemon pancake, still good, just seemed like a normal pancake.

Wow! It's hard to set yourself apart as a breakfast/brunch spot but somehow Urban Egg managed to do so. Their menu has all the classics but also has some more unique options. I went with the garden bowl which was very filling, fresh, and a good mix of flavors. Our waitress, I believe her name was Julissa, was also great! We came on a Sunday morning around 8:30am and it seemed like the crowd really started to pick up around 9am so if you're able to beat the 9am rush, it's worth it!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here one beautiful late morning, perfect for dining on the shaded patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was 75 degrees outside and felt like 60 degrees inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was like walking into a casino, where it's so cold you forget that you're just another sucker losing next month's alimony payment[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The menu is outstanding, with lots of options for vegetarians and savages alike. We opted for the huevos rancheros and breakfast tacos. Both excellent, and not too spicy! Coffee and spiciness don't really compliment each other. Maybe that's just me. Our server was good tempered, gracious and conversational. Ok, so maybe she forgot my coffee, didn't offer refills, didn't bring my toast out early as requested, and just told us what we owed rather than giving us a bill. The Urban Egg experience was so positive, these small trifles were hardly noticeable.

If I could rate a 100, I would! We had the most amazing experience! We were seated outside quickly upon our arrival. Service was awesome! Everything we ate was awesome - pancake flight, added chicken to the salad, and bacon jam burger. The bacon jam burger was so messy but soooo good! We had the strawberry basil lemonade.....yum!! And because they had homemade jam we got a side of toast (one piece), so we could try the jam. Delicious! Everything, everything was wonderful!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved being outside, too. Perfect weather[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

I came here for brunch with a friend. It's in a tucked away spot, I've lived in this area for a while now and never noticed it before. Upon our entrance we were greeted immediately and shown to our seats with a wait time of about 2mins, they even accommodated our choice of seating outside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, they even had tiny mints that my daughter helped herself out to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was very sweet and even told us of the free appetizer for first time guests. Which I think is an amazing sale of a spot. We got the bourbon bacon and my goodness was it good. Seasoned thoroughly and just the right amount of sauce to meat ratio. My daughter enjoyed her French toast breakfast and I also enjoyed my bacon jam burger. It was delicious and very filling. Their local honey lemonade was my favorite of the day. They use no sugar so the honey works perfectly in balancing out the lemon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their outside seating was also great, I'd recommend this when it's hot out though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd also like to note that a manager brought our food out to us, this shows that they ultimately value the customers and it's just great seeing managers getting involved just as well as their staff. All in all a good find in a tucked away location. I'd definitely recommend you try them out.

Food is great! One of my favorite omelettes and hashbrowns! The service was prompt and responsive. The yelp waiting list is a bit flawed but not their fault and partially mine. Even if you're #20 in line, you should still check in at the front desk to be seated. Yelp won't tell you to check in

Went this morning and it was great! I joined the online waitlist about an hour before we went as the line was long as suspected on a Sunday morning. We waited another 10-20 minutes while there but was able to enjoy the nice weather outside. We all had the Maui Wowie Mimosa which we loved and shared the Bourbon $$$ Bacon which we also loved! I got the breakfast tacos which were delicious. My sister got the cinnamon rolls and yogurt parfait and also loved those. Will definitely come back to try more!

I will say the service was really nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That place is big and wasn't very busy when we went so that was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorite thing was the strawberry cheesecake pancakes! Honestly a single is all you need! It was huge! Which I do appreciate so that way there was plenty to share. I did enjoy the eggs Benedict, However I do think it was lacking in flavor. Overall the experience was great.

I've seen this place in passing a few times and have always been interested so i'm glad I finally got to try it out! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We decided to sit outside, which had lots of umbrellas for shade. It would be perfect for a hot day in the summer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter, Sammi, was the most kind and genuine person. They told us that first time guests get a free appetizer so we tried the bourbon infused bacon. All i have to say about it is, delicious!!! Especially with the side of syrup. It was perfection. When our food came out, the manager brought us our food which impressed us because it is not often that the managers help out with plates. It turns out that the managers help out their staff all the time and prioritize working as a team so the task at hand can be accomplished. Our waiter told us that the work environment was very pleasant and they really enjoyed working here because the management was great to their employees! I tried the sausage, egg, cheese sandwich with pesto aioli. I wasn't too hungry after the bacon but it was good too. Not my favorite sandwich but overall decent! I like that all the meals come with a side too so it makes it worth the money. The sandwich with side was $16, so slightly pricey but not awful. Overall, I would return to this place to try their drinks and another dish!

This location is in a shared plaza with plenty of parking. If you are a part of a large party, they will seat you have over 1/2 your party present. The space is big and open. The service was great, our waitress was friendly and personable and provided great recommendations. We all enjoyed our food. Presentation was also lovely. The portion size is large and the prices are decent. The manager was also walking around and checking in on tables. Definitely great customer service with good food.

First, the food would get 4 stars. I really enjoyed the omelet and the salad combo. The salad with the balsamic dressing was my favorite part. The service was a 3 star. Nice waitress, but she struggled through service. I will try the Egg again.

It was ok. Always…read morelooking to find new breakfast places and stumbled across The Wooden Spoon here on Yelp. I got a corned beef hash benny and the poached egg was overcooked. The yolk should run and these didn't. Not the end of the world, but when you cooks eggs all day it would have been nice to have them not overcooked. It tasted ok. The corned beef was good and I would get that again, but not on a benny. The hollandaise was ok but a bit bland. I was expecting some lemon flavor and that tangy kick but it was super mild. It was fine just not to my liking. My wife got a breakfast quesadilla and it was stuffed full and was better than mine. I had a bite and it was pretty flavorful but we did have to pay extra for sour cream which was weird, but whatevs. The place has a lot of signs inside. Not sure what i make of it but there were enough of them that we both noticed. Our server was good but a bit quirky. For instance, she sat us and as we were sitting down she asked if we knew what we wanted. Not rude or anything like that we just thought, hmmm that was interesting. We told no we needed to look at the menu and it was all fine. I just think she had a quirky personality, nothing off putting. We kind of laughed about it and went on. More of a story than anything else that we talk about and get a kick out of. Overall the place was ok. We would come back if we were close around that area and hungry but we probably wouldn't drive across town to eat there.

They had patio seating which most people chose since it was a nice day. There were several diners inside as well. We chose the indoor seating. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was pleasant. I ordered a make your own breakfast meal. I had eggs, gluten-free blueberry, pancakes, and sausage patties. My husband had the corned beef hash meal. The breakfast came out and a reasonable time. My husband enjoyed his and they pride themselves on having a lot of homemade food. My food was good as well, except the sausage patties were slightly overcooked. The gluten-free pancakes were excellent and I'm so happy that they have them since not a lot of places have that choice. The restaurant is a homey atmosphere and it seemed like they had a lot of regulars. My husband used the restroom and I think that the men's restroom doubles as having some utility items in there like a mop and so forth. But he said there was a cabinet that had Styrofoam cups that were facing forward, which probably should not be in there. That is the only reason I gave it to four. We would definitely come back even though it is a little bit of a drive for us.

They absolutely have the processes of this little restaurant honed to perfection, and even during a busy lunch time kept things humming so that there was minimal wait time (to order, for the food to be brought out, and to pay for our meal). Many, MANY thanks to Robert, who seated us, took our order, brought our food out, and settled our bill. He was friendly, efficient, and so welcoming. It was a joy to watch him work; he made sure to greet each and every customer coming in the door, and was consistently so upbeat and positive. And many, MANY thanks to Tony at the grill! Our food was FANTASTIC!! I have high standards for Mediterranean food, and the falafel wrap was totally delicious! The falafel itself was perfectly cooked, with a crispy outer layer, and the other ingredients in the wrap were chosen for a perfect melding of flavors. I had the side salad, with homemade Thai peanut dressing, and it was equally tasty. My husband had the patty melt, which came on homemade bread (!) and was, per his report, perfectly done. His side was tater tots, and we shared them. They were crisp and light without being greasy, and addictively yummy! The restaurant is in a strip center; it's not very big, but the tables are well placed so that no one feels cramped. The open reception area and kitchen/grill make it easy for the staff to respond to what's happening in the dining room (e.g., new folks arriving). It was a truly memorable meal, and we'll definitely be back! Again, MANY thanks to Robert and Tony for such a great lunch. We appreciate you!

On this last visit I got the West Coast Omelet (bacon, onions, tomatoes, and cheese topped with a couple of avocado slices). It comes with a side of rosemary potatoes and an English muffin. I swapped the muffin for a biscuit. I had forgotten their biscuits are more similar to a cross between cornbread and cake. I'd prefer just a regular biscuit even though their style of biscuit is interesting. The omelet and biscuit was large. The rosemary potatoes are delicious and I'd have loved to have a bit more of them. I really enjoyed the omelet as well! I had to take about half of the omelet and biscuit to go. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I think there dishes tend to be a bit more sweet and while I love sweet, if I'm eating savory, I'm picky about the sweetness. I think that is a personal preference and I'm sure some people love it. My server was Kat (Katerina) and she was great. Very patient and helpful. She happened to be my server both times I've been there! The restaurant is very clean with a comfortable, welcoming environment. It's always nice to see their messages of kindness. We could use a lot more of that these days! Cruelty seems to be in fashion now. It's refreshing to go somewhere promoting kindness! I'd go back just for that bit the service is outstanding and the food is really good!
