chicken noodle soup

I could not believe how little the BLT was, It had one slice of wilted lettuce, A couple tomatoes, Bacon was a nice amount, BUT you could tasted that it was old. Chicken noodles soup was extremely oily overpriced for the food!

Lunch for two, 3-07-2024.

The husband and I came here and enjoyed a lunch at this spacious and airy location. It was pretty busy as there are always plenty of people around Woodfield Mall. We shared an a-ok small chicken rosa pasta and a Choose Two of 1/2 chicken pomodori panini with a baked potato soup. The baked potato soup was saltier than I prefer.

I stopped by this Corner Bakery with my mother to get lunch. It was a perfect atmosphere. There were a few customers in there when we arrived but it was quiet enough that we could have a conversation. The cashier was very nice and helpful. I ordered the pick two option with the tomato mozzarella sandwich along with the cheddar broccoli soup. I got the side salad as a side. My mother ordered the classic Caesar salad with chicken. The food came out quickly and was served hot. The food is what you would expect if you went to any of their restaurants. It was good, not great, and filling. I don't get a lot of their desserts since I'm typically full after my meal. I recommend this spot if your in the area. The prices are reasonable and are very competitive for the crowded Woodfield area.

A Corner Bakery / Maggiano's combo location here.

This Corner Bakery is typical and one of the several that are connected to a Maggiano's.  They have a nice location just north of the Streets of Woodfield and with a large, convenient parking lot.

Chopped Salad

This not a chopped salad at all, the chicken taste fake. I'm so upset that I wasted my money on this. I will never order this again. I didn't like the salad dressing that comes with it either. Please use grilled chicken, not fake rubbery chicken please.

Half-and-half, chicken tortilla soup and California Grille Panini sandwich

I've been here twice, both on a weekend (Saturday during lunch hours). Absolutely NO parking spots during that time. I had to park by Dick's. Corner Bakery is connected to Maggiano's, which could explain the terrible parking situation since they share the same lot. You can valet your car for $$, but I'd rather save my $$ and get the exercise. Gotta burn off those carbs! My go-to menu item is the half-and-half, chicken tortilla soup and California Grille Panini sandwich. It comes with a pickle and your choice of chips or carrots. I opted for the chips because I felt like pigging out. Both are pretty good for a chain restaurant. The service seems to be consistently decent at Corner Bakery. Friendly staff, quick to get our food, keeps the restaurant clean. Be wary if you sit outside at this location! Birds like to hang here and eat the crumbs. On my most recent visit, there was one persistent bird that was determined to get some of my friend's food (I was already done eating at that time). He was hopping towards us, on the floor, on the chair, on the table. Even with me shooing him away, he kept coming back. We moved to another table, and I left my plate and dish there. The bird ate some of it and then came to our table again! Finally, we just had to sit inside because my friend was freaked out by the bird. In the end, bird - 1, us - 0. Come here outside of peak hours if you can, and say hi to the bird for me!

Similar look and feel to Panera. Food better and offers a full breakfast menu as well. I really enjoyed the Chili!

I only noticed two employees working during dinner time, so they were doing the best that they could. Music in the place was just right. Not too loud nor too quiet. So how was the food? It was good. Because I was the chef who selected the ingredients lol. I noticed the garlic sauce and green shug was different this time. The garlic sauce was runny and thin and I could see the green shug separated from the oil. Maybe it's me and that's how they should be, this was a first. Overall, I would recommend it.

Now, you see people walk in with pajamas. Not a lot, just one or two. I can see why Americans get made fun of for wearing pajamas that they sleep in, and wear it the whole day outside to places. Our waitress was a very sweet, older woman but she was very forgetful. She asked me if I wanted cheese on my entree and I said yes. She never came back. She forgot that I wanted a refill on my iced tea. She remembered to bring the check though. This is about a 3. Good food but very poor service. Food was solid. It was a good thing we ordered appetizers because the entrees came out pretty late. It came out about 35 mins after our appetizers. There was a large table next to us that came in later, but they somehow received their entrees before us. We ordered the stuffed ziti fritta, Calabrian steak & shrimp bucatini, and seafood alfredo. We got the chicken & gnocchi and zuppa toscana soups. They were delicious. Not salty. -stuffed ziti fritta 5 - I ordered these but I love how cheesy they are. It's good with or without the sauces. Crispy shell and cheesy inside. -Calabrian steak & shrimp bucatini 5 - this is a new entree. The grilled sirloin tips were tender, about medium cooked. The shrimp pieces were jumbo. The sauce has a bit of a kick but not too spicy.

The staff is always nice and helpful, and for the most part, it's been pretty clean. Some stickiness here and there, but they always notice or clean when told about it. The last time we came here, a customer was screaming on the top of his lungs about how bad customer service was. He was being derogatory and told a Latino worker to go back to his country. It was awful. I'm mentioning this because although that specific worker argued back with the customer (for justified reasons), the other 3 workers on his team tried to de-escalate the situation to get the man to leave the store with his food. After 10 minutes of the guy yelling, they were able to get the guy to leave. Once he left, the workers were great friends and coworkers to the guy who was targeted and had him go on his break to cool down. It was nice to see them taking care of their team. Foodwise, I have never been disappointed with my sandwiches. I usually order an Italian sub and the ingredients have always tasted fresh and delicious. I'm also a huge fan of their craft refresher drinks, specifically the pineapple passionfruit one!
