Service was nice and food came out great. Marcus chatted with my boys about their hockey practice after they ate. Very nice folks here now. Appreciate it!

When we are in the area, we will stop by and pick up some sweets here. It's a great location with lots of parking since it's in the Village Crossing shopping center. It's big with lots of seating both indoor and outdoor. In warm weather it's really nice to sit outside at one of their patio tables. My only complaint is that if you get there in the afternoon, the selection of pastries is usually very small.

I absolutely love eating brunch/lunch here at the Corner Bakery. The restaurant provides a sense of family and belonging as soon as you walk in. The service is always stellar with servers tending to your every need and attendants always available to take your order. This place offers sandwiches, soups, pastas, pancakes, different pastries, and even cakes. Don't forget to try their well reknowned cinnamon roll or almost like a cinnamon bundt cake. The ambiance is cozy especially when you induldge in one of their coffees (my favorite is Hazelnut), which are captivating eyeopeners.

05/08/22 - Mothers Day. We got here @ 10:05 & didn't get to place our order until 10:20. We sat down and waited. My bacon panini sandwich came out @ 11:02 and it was Luke warm like it had been sitting for awhile. We informed the server who was working his butt off (the only server for the whole restaurant). He had to go back & get my wife's food. Gross case of understaffing for a day that is traditionally one of the busiest days, taking Mom out on her day. I have been here and have never experienced this lack of service. Definitely under staffed. It took almost 1hr from the time we walked in and the food was served. Kudos to the server that was running all over the restaurant delivering food (5 stars) to those that ate in. My bacon cheddar panini is usually excellent but it was not even hot indicating that it had been sitting for awhile. My wife bacon wrap was very good served hot. Something to keep in mind. If you fill out the survey on the receipt you will get $3.00 back on your next purchase (cha Ching - $3 is $3) By the way they were so slow the menu changed from breakfast to lunch while we were sitting there eating

The ambiance and the service was good. The food came fairly fast and it was tasty. Before leaving. I wanted to get a croissant to pair it with my coffee. However, when I went to the cash register, I noticed a toast packages on the side of the line and he caught my attention so I asked the woman what was that. She explained it was a semi sweet toast with cranberries. I bought just one slice just to try it in at the end of my meal. I had to buy an entire bag of it because they are absolutely delicious. I think it was one of my favorite things in this restaurant. I will definitely come back to try other things in the menu i recommend this place in Skokie!

Quick, delicious, affordable meal. I never tried corner bakery before. The interior design is super old fashion. It's like back to 90s. I think some customers must appreciate it. I got the chicken panini with tomato soup. Pretty light and not greasy. Pretty good.

Positives: I did enjoy the food. Pomodori Chicken Panini was tasty with a hint of pesto mayo but very little chicken. Side of Honey Balsamic Grains was a little uncooked and cold but still good flavor. Chopped salad was what you would expect. Quiet environment with plenty indoor and outdoor seating. Negatives: online order to food being ready totaled 27min (12min longer than the order time projected). Many dirty tables. Value of food not so great.

I've only come to Corner Bakery Cafe twice and both times they were SO SO SO YUMMY!!! The tall man behind the counter was so helpful and so kind. Cozy atmosphere and got a lot of studying done. 10/10

I bought a shrimp scampi linguine to go and what a shame, it was without shrimp! Being busy is not an excuse. Be careful, check your order before you go home.

Ask the Community - Corner Bakery

I have been looking for a place that makes yummy Lemon Bars. Do they sell Lemon Bars?

A quick internet search of Corner Bakery's menu shows that they do indeed sell Lemon Bars. I have not tried them, but their lemon hand pies are excellent, as are the blueberry hand pies.

That said, there are so many options, particularly for this vegetarian and egg hater. Pro tip: Make a reservation! The place had a solid wait from the time we arrived until we left. Service was ok, spotty at bits, but I also attribute it to the place being busy. We had to ask a second time for some missing items. To eat, I got the berry crepes and a side of hash browns with cheese. My friend got the eggs Benedict with a side of pancakes. The crepes were very good, but I preferred the bites without the berry mascarpone filling. The side of pancakes my friend got was huge, this would be plenty as a main. They are very good at accommodating larger parties, but do wait to seat you until your party is all there.

After confirming it was, she offered us the option of sitting indoors or out on the heated, covered patio. We chose the patio, which was comfortable and inviting. The menus arrived quickly--breakfast, lunch, daily specials, and a full coffee drink menu. Water was served right away, and we were asked for our beverage order. We decided on breakfast and chose the Denver omelet and the Mexicana omelet. Each entrée comes with your choice of fruit or hash browns, plus toast or pancakes. Our food arrived surprisingly fast. The hash browns were a bit overdone but still enjoyable. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, and my iced tea was refilled twice without needing to ask. The restaurant was spotless and had a steady flow of customers for a Tuesday mid‑morning, which says a lot about its popularity. As we were leaving, the hostess checked in to make sure everything was good--which it was. We definitely plan to return, especially to try their lunch menu next time.

Parked in front at 7:15 and walked in - was pretty dead on a Saturday. Sat at a table in the front windows and ordered a coffee and an apple juice. Waiter was very nice - decor reminded me of a Cracker Barrel style - and with a small bar it's obvious they do more than just breakfast like their name implies. Ordered a breakfast burrito which comes with skillet potatoes. I liked the flavor of those. The burrito was great - egg, chorizo, avocado, and cheese. We split pancakes as well which were good and came with berries and cream. Really liked it here - the locations are 10-20min away from central CHI but the drive is worth it.

I tried the turkey BLT with a side salad. I appreciated that the salad was not the typical basic side salad as it had fruit, cheese, etc. the dressing was very tangy. The sandwich was a decent size and came with a spicy mayo which added a a twist to the typical turkey BLT. I wanted more crispy bacon than it provided. The cost was typical for Chicago, but felt a little high as the bill was $26 with tip and I drank water.
