Weekends are for Dim Sum! From the outside this place doesn't look like much. Plenty of parking, though the spots are pretty tight. We ordered some classics: har gow (shrimp dumplings), har Chong (shrimp steamed crepes), pork braised short ribs, crispy pork belly - very similar to lechón. The highlight for me was definitely the dim sum. Classically good and flavorful. The Cantonese style beef Cho fun had such good wok flavor too. I would definitely come back another time.
A fairly new dim sum spot in the Rockville area. The restaurant was quite packed during weekend lunch, so I would highly recommend arriving early. There is a decent sized parking lot in front, which is convenient. The place was clean, and the staff was also friendly. The menu offers a wide variety of dim sum and Cantonese dishes, so you will likely find something you enjoy. In addition to the regular menu, there is a separate menu book featuring specialty items such as soup dumplings and Peking duck. Prices for the dim sum are reasonable compared to other spots in the area. There were only two servers handling orders and food service, which made things feel a bit hectic at times. They even had to double check whether certain dishes belonged to our table or another. The flavors of the dim sum were not overly strong, but well balanced and enjoyable. Portions were also generous. We especially liked the large pieces of shrimp in the har gow and shrimp rice noodle rolls. The sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf was particularly flavorful and filling, with a nice mix of ingredients like meat, chestnut, and mushroom. The biggest downside was the temperature of the food. While service was not especially slow, most dishes arrived lukewarm. The soup dumplings in particular were noticeably cool, which was disappointing. The egg drop soup also came out at the end, even though it is typically prepared in advance and served quickly. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would come back again.

We enjoyed the steamed chicken with ginger/garlic sauce, soup dumplings, and salt/pepper pork chop. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Limited indoor seating.
Went on a Sunday morning at 10:30am, and there were still available parking spaces and tables. It filled up by the time we left at around 11:15am. Between the two of us, my husband and I ordered 7 dim-sum dishes and were out in 45 minutes, so that was quick. The bill was $47 before tipping. The restaurant has two separate dining areas. We sat in the front area where the tables were rectangular and the space is bigger than the back area. I believe the back dining area has a few circular tables. We used to frequent Hollywood East before it closed. We ordered the typical dishes we used to get at Hollywood East: Har Gow, steam chicken Shiu Mai, baked BBQ pork bun, minced beef congee, baked pineapple bun, and baked egg custard. Corner Bites did the same dishes better than Hollywood East. The buns were very fluffy, the shiu mai were huge, and the egg custard crust was very flaky. We ordered the baked roasted duck bun, as we typically like duck, but we weren't fans of the duck buns - too much cucumber and not enough duck. We wouldn't order the duck bun again, but would order everything else again! I would've liked if the menu was organized differently, because dim sum and larger plates are on the same page. Or maybe I would've liked a separate paper menu for the dim sum dishes, so that we can check off what we'd like to order. It can be hard to keep track of our orders! The dishes do come out really HOT, so be careful!
When in Rockville, I always want Chinese food. I came to Corner Bites after I had a nearby appointments, and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is no frills, but clean and bright. The service is really fast! I was shocked at how quickly the food came out. I tried several dishes, including Chicken pan fried noodles, shiu Mai, har gow, shrimp rice rolls, wonton noodle soup, shrimp and chive dumplings, and sticky rice. The items I liked the best and would definitely try again were the pan fried noodles, shiu mai, bok Choy, and the shrimp and chive dumplings. I thought the other items were good, but pretty typical. I did not like the sticky rice at all, and found it pretty bland. We had a lot of leftovers and the staff packed them to go. One odd thing I noticed is half of my sticky rice was missing. Maybe it fell in the floor? I'm not sure, and didn't care that much because I didn't like the dish any way. I would love to come back and try other dishes.
We came around noon on a Saturday,, lol I guess it's the peak hours! Parking was full so we had to park across the street or nearby areas. About 20-25 mins before we're seated. Suggest to come closer to 1 or right at 10 for opening time on weekends. Service was good aside being forgotten a bit after we ordered our drinks.. lol. This isn't a ayce with cart dim sum but they're all fresh made to order. All came piping hot, we got seafood roll (love it), shumai (good), soup dumpling (great), beef noodle roll (good) and pork bao bun (great but careful it's piping hot). Our coffee milk tea served in the black and white cow mug :). All in all, everything was delicious and would def be back for more!
11.22.25 My friend took me out for my birthday dinner. I love dim sum (small dishes like tapas) and was excited with the selection they have. I ordered the fried pork puff, baked bbq pork bun, baked roasted duck bun, fried stuffed eggplant, beef rice noodle rolls, and sticky rice. I also ordered baked egg custard to go for my husband. She ordered the crispy seafood roll, congee, and sweet rice cake for dessert. I LOVED everything I ordered with my least favorite being the roasted duck bun. It needed more duck and the sauce was not spread uniformly. Some areas were dry. I'm huge on sauces so requested for more on the side for all my dishes. My friend didn't like the seafood rolls and she said the congee was bland so they replaced her congee and she said it tasted better. Our server was friendly and attentive; she checked on us frequently. I read reviews which said that the restaurant is generally busy so made reservations for 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:20pm and when we left an hour later, it wasn't busy at all. I wonder if they are busier at lunch time. I really enjoyed the food and service and would definitely return to try other dishes aside from dim sum.
We went with a party of 15 on Friday evening and the food and service was fabulous. We haven't come here for over a year and was pleasantly surprised with this new owner's management. Our waiter, Kevin, a young man, was very polite and attentive and provided us with all the things that we need. The food was delicious and hot! I will definitely come back for more if they continue with the yummy food and good service!
New Cantonese/dim sum spot that seemed to have replaced what used to be an Asian grocery store. The food was hit or miss--the Cantonese lobster was the star as it was both very fresh and at a good price. I also enjoyed the eggplant although it was a little oily. But, the duck bun was a bit sparse on duck and the shrimp rice noodle had skin that was too thick and not the right chewy texture. The service was polite and fast, and there is free parking outside but the spots are tight and we almost couldn't find a parking spot. The ambiance could be better, for a restaurant that's fairly new the furniture already looks sort of old and the ceiling looks like a warehouse. Overall I would still return back for that delicious Cantonese lobster but they could probably make a couple of improvements.
I was modestly hopeful when a friend mentioned that Corner Bites offered dim sum, even though it wasn't pushcart dim sum. We went as soon as they opened in hopes that that would maximize the freshness and availability of options. We were seated promptly and asked if we wanted tea and what kind of tea , which was nice. We ordered the sauted green beans which were fine, however they weren't fried enough to create the traditional wrinkled texture; the puff pastry bbq pork which didn't have a lot of flavor beyond just being sweet; the shumai which were huge, under seasoned and chunky; the sweet pork ribs in black bean sauce that barely had any meat on the bones or enough sauce; the fried pork puff which were good; minced beef congee with no seasoning at all; and lastly was the roasted duck buns which barely had any pieces of the under seasoned duck and was slathered in a overly salty housin concoction to cover up the fact that there wasn't any meat in the bun. I saw a couple people at other tables order noodle dishes like the beef chow fun, which, in hindsight, may have been a better move over the dim sum. The highlight of the experience was the service and the desserts. We orders the egg tarts and egg custard buns which were great but were like prepared from frozen, given the uniformity. Unfortunately I will unlikely be back to Corner Bites with the exception of maybe trying their noodle dishes. If you want good dim sum, this place is not it.

Lots of seating inside that can accommodate larger parties.
Wow! Loved the dim sum here. I saw an influencer in insta come in and ordered the same things as her. They were all amazing and I can't wait to come back and try something different. The food came out fast but we also had an early dinner. Our server was nice and the inside looked clean. I forgot the names of the dishes but I'll try my best. Egg tarts - this was really good and sweet Shrimp in noodles - the noodles and sauce were tasty Turnip cake - my favorite I ended taking my husband's half Stuffed eggplant - was stuffed with shrimp and I really enjoyed this Bbq pork pastries - very yummy and flaky Peach oolong tea - had really peach chunks in it read more

6/27/26: Corner Bites was a solid stop during our visit to Rockville and a great option if you're looking for authentic Cantonese-style Chinese food. The restaurant has a no-frills, neighborhood feel, and the focus is clearly on the food. We ordered the BBQ Pork Rice Roll, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Sliced Fish Stir Fry with Chinese Greens, and the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles. The BBQ pork rice roll was a great way to start the meal, with silky rice noodles wrapped around tender char siu and topped with a light soy sauce. The Yang Chow fried rice was well seasoned, packed with ingredients, and had that classic wok flavor without feeling greasy. The standout dish for me was the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles. The noodles had a nice mix of crispy and soft textures, and the generous portion of shrimp, fish, squid, and vegetables made it easy to share. The Sliced Fish Stir Fry with Chinese Greens was another highlight, with tender fish and fresh vegetables cooked simply enough to let the ingredients shine. Service was efficient, and the food came out quickly despite the restaurant being fairly busy. The dining room is clean and comfortable, though it's definitely more of a casual neighborhood restaurant than a place you'd visit for the atmosphere. Overall, I'd give Corner Bites 4/5 stars. The food was fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced, with a couple of standout dishes that I'd happily order again. I stopped by with some friends after an evening run so we were definitely hungry. I was honestly really pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes and prices. The food was exactly as described and we asked the server for some recommendations. He was really kind in explaining all the options available. It was only 3 of us and we ordered 7-8 items and devoured 90% of it. We tend to travel around for dimsum places but it was really nice to have this place open up so close! read more

We have been here before. The food quality and taste for dimsum have really gone down. Even the jasmine tea was tasteless and weird. One of the fried seafood rolls was burnt. We couldn't even finish the four dishes we got and didn't feel like ordering more. Won't be coming back. read more

Corner Bites is a great spot for dimsum. Try and get there early though because parking fills up! We had to get the staples and everything was outstanding! The beef rice crepes were delicious! The crepes were the perfect texture! Happy to have a new dim sum place in MoCo! read more

This is an exciting and new Cantonese restaurant in downtown Rockville! my son wanted to come here, and he knows the best restaurants in the area. His recommendation was spot on! This restaurant has very fresh and authentic dim sum and Cantonese dishes. We came here for lunch on a weekend, and then came back for dinner during the week. We couldn't be happier with the food and the service. In addition, the restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean I might add! We finished our meal off with a special kind of tea served in this restaurant only - the H.K. Milk Tea. You've got to try it! We will be back for sure, again, and again, and again! read more

A recent opening of corner bites had my family and I going straight for dim sum. The name itself pretty much describes the location, wedged in the corner of Rockville with delicious bites of authentic Chinese dishes. Parking is a bit tight but does the job and the exterior of the restaurant could use some work. Service is really good, the waiters and waitresses are very attentive and help with recommendations on their top selling dishes. They also have a variety of Chinese drinks (the originals Hong Kong milk tea is my go to). Dim sum options like har got, Siu Mai, etc are available from opening to closing. I also recommend the roasted duck dish--it's pretty delicious. They have small party room in the back but overall seating everywhere. read more

Went to visit on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating available. Excellent service from the start. Variety of teas available. I was eager to try their dim sum dishes. The shu mai was huge! The beef brisket soup was delicious too. One of my favorites was also the taro cake and it was fresh and tasty. There was also a Chinese yew year menu with a variety of dishes. Our waitress checked on our table very often which was nice. She also was very patient when asked to bring a large number of to-go containers. I'll definitely come back! read more
Stopped by to check out the desserts at Corner Bite and they did not disappoint! Ann, one of the owners, was so kind and helped me with questions I had about the menu. I carried out an order of Sticky purple rice ($5.75 for three generously sized portions), Egg custard tarts ($5.75 for three, served warm), and one order of the matcha red bean pudding (also $5.75, served chilled). The restaurant was clean and quiet during the pick up (I went at late lunch time, 4:45 pm) and thanks to the information Ann provided, I am looking forward to returning for Dim Sum. read more

This is a place where you can order some dim sum dishes along with other dishes on their menu. Not a restaurant where employees come around with the push carts. Seats and parking spaces are limited. The egg tart was delicious when it came out hot with a nice sweet and soft inside. I liked that the chicken feet were not overly sweet. The sweet and sour pork was also delicious meat was soft on the inside, and I liked how the vegetables were half cooked so that I can even eat the onions. The soup from the braised beef noodle was not overly salty and the shrimp wontons were filled with a decent amount of shrimp. However the beef in the noodle soup was too hard for me to chew. The bean curd seafood clay pot was decent, but not the best I've had. I didn't like the Chinese fish cake in there since it tasted more like mushed flour to me. However I did like how much variety of protein was in this dish. read more
A new dim sum spot has opened in Rockville. Corner Bites serves both traditional favorites and a few new dishes. Despite a packed dining room that required a short wait, the meal was well worth it. We sampled an array of dishes, from beef tripe and duck feet to shrimp dumplings and fried pork puffs. The standout, however, was the baked barbecue pork pastry-an absolute must-try. Its BBQ pork was fresh and tender, better than most other restaurants. Corner Bites is a welcome alternative for dim sum lovers. I can't wait to try other dishes. read more
Came here for dinner dim sum; this is not cart dim sum so everything is fried/steamed to order. I personally prefer dim sum this way because you don't end up waiting an eternity for someone to come by your table with over steamed soggy snacks. Everything was very fresh and very tender, I would rank this above the other 3 local dim sum places. It was hustlin and bustlin at late dinner time when the previous tenants struggled to fill the lot. Probably our new go to dim sum spot! If you dunno what to order, get what I got in the pictures, pretty basic order that almost every dim sum restaurant will have. Siu mai - pork dumpling in a wrap with some shrimp. I read about this new restaurant and decided to give it a try. Fellow yelpers got it right. It certainly lived up to the good reviews. It was a Sunday morning, and the place was packed. Service was very good, even with the crowd. I'm a big fan of comfort food and really miss the wonton noodles and congee places in New York's Chinatown. There aren't many places like this in the DC area. This restaurant comes pretty close with its dim sum, noodles, and congee. We ordered shrimp and beef rice noodle rolls, wonton noodle soup, pineapple buns, and minced pork with Century Egg congee. Everything was delicious. The menu has all my favorites. But I can only eat so much in one visit. I have to come back to try more of the dim sum, noodles, and other dishes. Parking - It was Sunday morning when we visited. The parking lot was packed and the spaces were tight. Next time, we probably would go on a weekday since we have the flexibility. read more
So nice to have an all day dim sum location. No more waiting for the weekend! We ordered the usual suspects of har gow, sui mai, dan tart, lo bak go, and char siu bao. We also added the chinese broccoli and beef chow fun which was my favorite dish. It was definitely prepared the proper Cantonese way! When we got the char siu bao, they actually brought us what looked like the pineapple buns because of the topping. I have never seen char siu bao with that topping. So I asked are you sure you brought us the char siu and the server said yes. We bite into them and they were pineapple. He had to bring us a replacement and the second time it was the char siu with the topping that would normally be on top of pineapple buns. The dan tart were the mini ones. They had a lot of buttery taste from the flaky crust. I thought the ratio of egg custard to crust was too much crust so tasted on the dry side. Food wise, everything was great except for one minor detail -- I'll save that for last. We ordered about $83 worth of food (pre-tip), $100 post, for 3 adults, 1 toddler, and a baby. We were stuffed. The usual suspects at a dim sum table were pretty much ordered. The portion sizes were great for the price. The service was good too! The restaurant filled up fully by 11-11:20am. We arrived at around 10:20 and it was already half filled. The busgirls were attentive. The waiters were always hustling about. Special shout out to the bean curd skin wrap, chicken feet, and shumai. I can firmly say these three dishes are going to make the other dim sum restaurants in the DMV area sweat! Now for the only, and tiny, lowlight. The beef chow fun was actually pretty good. The bad part was the tomato pieces in it. First off, the tomato pieces were too sour. Next, tomatoes do not add anything extra to this dish. Beef chow fun is supposed to be a bit greasy and oil and it's balanced out by the bean sprouts' crunchiness and the scallions' freshness. The acidity (and the sourness) from the tomato is not doing this dish any favors. My suggestion for the restaurant is to do away with tomatoes in the Beef Chow Fun. And as for Yelpers and restaurant goers, please ask the chef to take away the tomatoes when you're ordering this dish. We will go back for more! Tl;dr, good price, good service, great food. Got takeout and was so impressed! I grew up in SoCal eating dim sum every week and this place reminds me of home. Tastes and textures are on point for the rice noodle rolls, har gow, and siu mai. Fried sesame rolls were so crispy- perfectly fried! Fried bean curd rolls were extra porky and flavorful. The bbq pork was a little too anise/cinnamon-y for my taste, and the porridge was watery. Honestly just happy there's finally a dim sum spot close by. It's not gonna blow you away, but it's nice to have something local when you're craving dim sum. The food was kinda hit or miss. The congee was my favorite by far -- super comforting. The sticky rice and duck baked bun were just okay and didn't really do it for me. Service was solid though, everyone was nice. The Yelp community really is a good community. Someone reached out to me this morning in a message and explained that my one criticism of the restaurant (they put tea on the table as we were seated - we didn't order it - and charged $1.50 per person on our bill) is a standard practice at dim sum. Further research on my part confirms this. The tea is considered part of the experience, which you can decline. So, giving this otherwise good restaurant a lower score due to that is unfair. I'll leave my original review in place, but I do recommend the place. Just be forewarned on the tea issue. I do plan to go back now that I understand the policy. (I'm not ticked off anymore - ha ha.). Perhaps a mention of it at the top of the menu for newcomers would help avoid confusion, which I understand is common for first-timers. read more
We came here on a weekend and were seated right away for 7 people. You order the dimsum by menu and they bring it out so no cart service. They have all the classic orders and I appreciate the large sizes. It's a clean and spacious place for brunch read more
Outstanding food - dim sum all day, made fresh to order. Each dish came out piping hot. The skin on the rice noodle rolls and shrimp dumplings were authentic and thin, topped with a delicious sweet soy sauce. The chive dumplings were enormous and flavorful. The char siu buns and char siu itself are also flavorful, moist, and top notch. I especially enjoyed the jelly desserts - so refreshing, light, and unique. Service was also fast and excellent - they were so attentive to our table. You also can make reservations here. Small parking lot was easy to use. There is no sign facing the road so it's hard to find - they should add more obvious signage. I def want to come back! read more
