Thick fat. Inedible. Ignore the color because I added tomato paste and beef bouillon to eat it. It originally was a bit more gray.

Just an update. Just finished my soup after 'doctoring' it up so I could eat it. Here's a picture of the so called beef they put in the soup. To anyone ordering this just know that what they call 'beef' are the pieces that we usually throw out for trash. Those scraps probably imparted brown color to the soup but no real flavor. There were about 10 more pieces than what you see here. It just dawned on me to take a picture. I wouldn't recommend the beef noodle soup sorry.

The scallion pancakes were the only thing that were good. We tried the pork with hot garlic, there was nothing hot or garlic about it. We had the mongolian beef that was flavorless and had a floury texture that was rubbery instead of crispy at all, the chicken lo main that had no flavor, the seafood combo was barely edible. The steamed dumplings had such a thick dough and separated completely, the meat itself wasn't as bad as the rest and the spring rolls were okay. All the meat dishes had the same rubbery unpleasant texture. Super unfortunate as it was for my dads birthday and it was not celebratory at all.

    General Tso's Chicken

First time customer and had a great experience. The General Tso's was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Very friendly staff and the food came out quickly, hot and fresh. The rice wasn't my favorite but the chicken was so good I still loved the meal. I would recommend an upgrade on the decor but either way I'll be back. We went for lunch and it was quiet and peaceful in the restaurant.

I came upon this restaurant by accident and placed a carry-out order. I got the beef noodle soup and the BBQ spare ribs. The beef noodle soup was packed really well for carry-out. The flavor was great, but the noodle may be slightly on the overdone side. The portion was large for me. I ended up eating it for 2 meals. It reheated well. As for the BBQ spare ribs, the flavor was on part, but it was a little on the greasy side. Overall, it was a good choice.

Made a lunch reservation for our board meeting. There were plenty of free parking in the shopping center. It was formally named Hearty's Sichuan Cuisine. Received warm welcome upon walk-in. We took the round table closest The four cold small-plate appetizers were good to start. The cold platter included beef, chicken and squid with three dipping sauces. The pork cubes were very tasty. The fried taro were crispy outside and soft inside. The sticky rice was topped with small shrimps and cilantro. The braised pork shoulder was very tender and juicy. The water spinach was cooked with good amount of garlic. The seafood soup came with many ingredients on the bottom. The sweet rice dumpling soup was a great finish.

    Carry-out

My family ordered carryout from Flo's this past weekend. The highlights of the meal were the boiling spicy braised fish, beef noodle soup, and kung pao chicken (a bit sweeter compared to the same dish at other restaurants though). The popcorn chicken was quite disappointing though, there was not much meat in each nugget and the flavor was lacking. I know that their name says Taiwanese Cuisine, but I didn't really find any of their menu items to particularly Taiwanese. It was more general Chinese food in this Taiwanese American gal's opinion.

We came here and were greeted by an older Chinese lady. She was very nice and prompt and gave us both an English and a Chinese menu. We ordered the beef noodle soup and salmon fried rice, which we both enjoyed. We appreciated that the food was not overly oily or salty like some other restaurants. We'll be back to try their other dishes!

    Kung pow chicken

My review is based only on the meal that I ordered which was Kung pow chicken. I had ordered food for myself and staff members today and the other people did not have a problem with their fried rice or whatever else they ordered. In the case of Kung pow chicken, it was very sugary and salty, and honestly not at all tasty. And even though we ordered it for spicy, it was not spicy and had no red pepper or spiciness I've eaten this food thousands of times and it is my favorite Chinese food, but it really wasn't very good from this restaurant and although I ate some of it, I regretted it later. I would recommend that the cook check wht here she is preparing regarding this dish and make sure that it is more authentic and not overly salted and sugared.

Got the popcorn chicken bento box for lunch. Very tasty. Portion size is generous. I recommend it.

We came twice, one dining in, one take-out. We tried the specials (not on English menu): 什锦炒河粉three meat fried with veggies and wide rice noodles; 盐酥鸡便当fried popcorn chicken bento; 夜市炒花枝night market squid soup; 三文鱼炒饭salmon fried rice. The most recommended dish is the fried wide rice noodle, very good portion, good amount of protein and veggies. My second favorite goes to squid soup, comfort food, squid is fresh, good nutrition balance! It's good to have a restaurant offers family style food nearby.

On this visit, we both got selections like what we had around our early times of visiting this spot. I cannot remember what my friend got, but I ordered one of the "Feasty Specials" which had 1/2 Snow Crab Legs and 1/2 Headless Shrimp. It came with sausages (sliced in pieces), 1 Corn (about 1/4 size), 1 Egg, and 2 Potatoes (the skin easily comes off). You get to pick the seasoning and I had Old Bay. What is presented to you is a large clear bag, steamed up and tied, with seasonings and all mixed up. It is served on a metal tray, and they also place an empty bowl on your table for discarding things. Plastic bib was on, bag opened, and I was ready to dig in. The seasoning took me back to my second visit a few years ago. It was when I first tasted their Old Bay mix and became a fan of it. This Feasty Special was just enough and I was glad to switch things up for a change.

Overall, the food is good, and, in our opinion, you do get what you pay for. Keep in mind that they DO charge you if you have leftover food on your table when you are done. Be mindful of that and make sure to let them know as you are finishing up, and want more, to scale down your portion size. There is a 90-minute window to eat. The servers don't really go over the menu much, so if it is your first time for all you can eat, make sure to take notice that the crab legs do come with a few different flavor options. The bad - They started a new policy, which I understand, but do not like. If you want all you can eat, everyone who is at the table must all order it as well, or nobody can. I understand they are protecting their profits, but that has taken us away from this place on more than one occasion to eat elsewhere as some wanted it and another family members wanted to order off the main menu. Also, service can be extremely slow, and I am not sure if it is intentional or not, but we have complained more than once and made them extend our time. Last time we went, they set our first order of food down on the table and as we were eating, the waitress walked by no less then 5 times and didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else. Then, magically, when our food was gone, we could not get anyone to come to the table for 15 minutes. Upon ordering our next round, it took another 20 more minutes for the food to arrive. They are sticklers about the 90-minute time frame, and we explained that twice this has happened and 60 minutes of our 90 minutes was wasted waiting on a server and then the food took forever. They allowed us one more round of food, which we appreciated and thought was fair. We start a stopwatch now and if we feel things are going slow, we address that with the server and sometimes put in a new order when the food is being dropped off. Overall, we are pleased to come here a few times a year. We only get all you can eat and usually are happy when we leave. The food is inconsistent as we do get the lobster tail with all you can eat, and it is usually overcooked and can chew like rubber, but still has good flavor. The crab legs sometimes come out waterlogged with salt, but most times piping hot. This is your typical "average" 3-star restaurant. If you are prepared to spend the money for all you can eat, you will leave satisfied and full, but never will you think "I wish I could come here every week". I have not ordered specific entrees off the regular menu so I cannot speak on portion size or quality of the food by ordering that way. Staff is always pleasant, but you do need to get on them if they are slacking.

It is always fun introducing another Yelp friend to a fun, new dining experience. We really enjoyed our watermelon margaritas. They were cool and refreshing on a hot day. We started out with the crispy fried artichokes. They were light and fresh with a delicious citrus flavor aioli. I ordered my favorite lamb chops and they were excellent. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The meat was accompanied by fingerling potatoes and a roasted egg plant medley. Both were very tasty. My friend ordered the filet mignon kebab with French fries and vegetables. She liked her dish a lot. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu and baklava. They were both very good. We went on a busy Friday night, and was disappointed with the service and food. Once we placed our order, which took quite a while to place, we waited almost 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The table next to us got their drinks super fast. Our appetizers came before our drinks. We tried the L.F.C- what we got were fried chicken nibbles, not chicken bites. That was a shame as pictures of the appetizer looked good on Yelp. We also tried their Margherita pizza which was really good. This is Neapolitan style. Crust was good. This was the saving grace of our meal. For entrees, I got the 40-layer lasagna, and it wasn't anything special. I can barely taste any bolognese sauce- all I was eating was pasta sheets. L'Ardente in DC has a 40-layer lasagna, that is hard to beat. My wife said her Bronzino was okay. I saw two managers walking around asking everyone how their food was. One of the managers stopped by and said I see you haven't received your drinks and food and walked away. Didn't even bother to check on our order. I probably won't come back, but maybe I ordered wrong and should stick with their Meze dishes. I do recommend their pizzas though. That came out fast and was good.

The side car was bit strong but delicious and the Oaxacan Anticuado was a great play on an old fashioned. Charley's is known for their whisky cocktails so it was nice to experience a great drink that was not whisky. For appetizers we ordered a dozen of the half shell oysters. 6 of them were sweet and the remaining oysters were a little salty. I really enjoyed the sweet oysters. We ordered nearly every premium item on the menu--from the fried oyster appetizer to the crab cakes and various entrées--and none of it delivered. When the food arrived, the presentation was poor, and the taste was extremely below average. Paying a premium price for this quality is unacceptable. This was apparently their second menu since a recent remodel, but if things don't change, they won't last. Message to ownership: shut it down, fire the executive chef, and start over.
