I found myself sitting in my hotel room after arriving into town and jumped on Yelp to find a good burger. The folks behind the counter were super helpful and walked me through my options when I wanted to add a little bit of heat to my breakfast burger. Jalapeño sounded like a bit too much and I wasn't interested in the sour notes of a banana pepper so a roasted Anaheim chili was the perfect addition. I have to say that I wasn't expecting for this burger to be so soft. The bun was soft, the perfectly done medium rare burger patty was soft, the two over-easy eggs were soft, and even the chili peppers were soft. Bonus detail: Biting through each yolk resulted in a squirt of yoke and chili juice across my cheeks! All in all it was a fine burger but I think next time I'll go a little simpler. Amazing!! My boyfriend and I found this place on a whim and we could not be any happier with the food and service. All of this food was less than $15 a person. This place is incredible! The owners a mom and her daughter were so welcoming. They had just passed the lunch rush so the place was quiet and all to myself. They have plenty of seating and have a quick turn around time with their food. The food is cooked to perfection. The fries were so crispy and well salted! Prepared fresh with crispy bacon, this thing was big and hot! Nicely flavored home fries, not too much egg, and the hot salsa was good. I've had their burgers in the past as well as their chili cheese fries. All around they are better than your average burger spot. My only knock on the food it comes off relatively heavy. Extremely welcoming as soon as I walk through the door. Love it. They all had positive upbeat energy. Makes it seems like they really enjoy working with each other. I was the only customer which is surprising but it was early morning. The restaurant was magnificently clean and organized. They had hand sanitizer at the check out stand in case you have to sign if you're using cc for payment. They take apple pay which I love. I also love that you can see them making the food. I asked a co-worker to look up a place for lunch and she found this place. Ordered 6 burgers, 4 med-well, 1 number 3 and one number 4 medium. We orders fries and sweet potatoes. It was a pick up order but once I got there they have limited sitting outside, can't recall any inside. Staff was friendly and got all the call in orders right, every time loved their food and said would go back. Based on reviews and all the lists I've seen this place on my expectations going in were set pretty high. And while very good it was pretty standard fare for a 'gourmet' burger place. Giant burgers built better for ig pictures then actually being easy to eat. You need to ask yourself whether you're wearing a shirt that's worth the risk :) The Food: We had the Cowboy & Blue Boy burgers plus an order of onion rings. The Cowboy is really an amped up Carls Jr western bacon, which is not a bad thing at all! The Blue Boy was good but I really didn't get enough of the blue cheese tang. The onion rings were very good, crisp breading on the outside and juicy onion on the inside. Location: It's just a half block off Hawthorne Blvd across the street from the City Hall & Library. There is plenty of street parking and the atmosphere is very relaxing for outdoor dining. Inside is the opposite; small and lots of hard surfaces so it's very loud. We were going to eat there but even with just 4 other customers it was too loud - to go order time! Cleanliness: This place is spotless inside and out! I wanted to give 4 stars, but they didn't season any of the food. We had a breakfast burger & a Hawaiian-style Loki. The burgers were completely unseasoned (ZERO salt/pepper/other) & cooked close to well-done rather than medium. They didn't season the eggs either. They charge extra for a sprinkle of lettuce & 2 thin tomato slices. The fries were crispy, but unseasoned. Zero Salt! The chicken strips (3) are decent, but overpriced. Also, you get 1 sauce, 0.85$ for additional. The BBQ sauce is ketchupy & mediocre, & the ranch dressing is weak & watery. The steak quesadilla was the most flavorful, although it needed cheese on the edges. It came with a spicy salsa, guacamole, & lettuce. The burgers are big & juicy & would be 4 stars easily with salt & seasoning, & a minute less on the griddle. They have crepes, too, which we didn't try. I don't know what to say. This burger is outstanding. They asked me how I wanted my burger cooked. I asked them how does the chef like to cook his burgers and the chef said which burger did you order. He prefers different temps depending on the burger and ingredients. I got the cowboy burger. The idea is best known from the western bacon cheeseburger at carls but believe me this might as well be a whole new thing. It's not just that the burger had great ingredients but the ingredients were prepared and cooked to be eaten. I know that sounds silly (all food is cooked to be eaten). But until you see this burger and assume that it's stunt food only to realize that the bacon is cooked to break with every bite. The bun is thin yet strong. The onion rings withstand being smashed to fit this thing into your mouth. I found this place on a whim while driving through the area and all I can say is Go Here if you like burgers. And if you really like burgers talk to the people behind the counter because it's how I found out that if you want the burgers can a get spicier or even have a fresh slice of Pineapple added if available. Got meals for the family... I was very excited about this place but it fell short of expectations. For the price, I thought it would have been better. I got the classic with cheddar cheese, onion rings and the oreo shake. My husband got the classic with well done fries and a vanilla shake. My daughter got a plain classic burger and fries. Upon opening the food, it looks amazing, shiny buns, great look overall; but after taking a bite, I was left unimpressed... out my entire meal, the shake I would say was worth the price. My husband was disappointed that the fries since they are crinkle cut may have been frozen- considering the price I hope everything is fresh. It was my first time trying this place out and I am sad to say it will be my last. We were looking for a hamburger place one weekend and saw the high reviews here on Yelp. Decided to drive a little out of our way but it was ultimately worth it! After going to the normal In N Out and several other busy burger joints, it was nice to try something new. Don't get me wrong, I love In n Out but it's nice to have a break. Corner Burger is across the street from a library and yes, on a corner. We would've never come across it, if it weren't for yelp! Inside is clean, small but comfortable. Lots of outdoor seating as well. They have a vast venue including breakfast items and even crepes! Burger prices were good and the burgers themselves were a great size! See below for pictures. Fries were crispy and did not taste old or stale. Employees were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Food came out quick and tasted fresh. Overall rating: 4/5. Small place right across the street from the Lawndale City Hall so parking is plentiful and frequented by city workers. Menu has a decent selection of burgers. I've seen this place before as my hairdresser is right next door to it, but never tried it because I had other things to do right after my appointment. Food: I ordered the Southwest Burger with fries. Taste was good and they toast the bun, which is always a good touch IMO. However, this burger had waay too many jalapeños in it. I like heat and I didn't mind the peppers, but there were so many I ended up picking out the peppers. For a while there, I thought I had made a mistake and ordered a jalapeño burger, but there was no such thing on the menu. Otherwise, the burger was a good size and perfectly cooked. The fries were crisp and not soggy. I'll be back on another day when I'm in the neighborhood to try other stuff Tip: Combos are $3 extra with onion rings $1 more than the fries. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I came here cause I got to the library across the street AND ITS THE BEST! I have taken everyone I love here and they have told me that they changed their mind and this is the their favorite burger spot. Not only are the burgers huge and juicy, the drinks and coffee are so good. It's my goal to try everything, cause they haven't let me down. The chilli cheese burger is my favorite with the chipotle mayo, and the white mocha ice coffee is probably one of the best coffees I have had in awhile. My fiance loves the jalapeño burger because they put a lot of toppings!! Lastly, my grandfather has cancer and cannot taste a lot of food. Most food is dry sand to him and it's been rough. Today, I got him a burger and he ate it one hour after I bought it and he said that was one of the best burgers ever. Imagine when it's fresh?? The bun is so crunch, with high quality vegetables and a thick juicy patty cooked to your choice. I cannot say enough good things about this place, I really can't. The people that work here truly are so kind and care about their customers. It may be a little pricy, but you get a lot of food. Landed on this place due to a burger + chili fries craving and the great Yelp reviews and photos. I'm happy to say Corner Burger did not disappoint! We arrived around 545/6pm on a Saturday and there was only one group of 3 inside finishing their meal. Monica was the person behind the counter taking orders and she was simply wonderful. So nice and happy to help us as it was our first time. I got the #2 Classic with Cheese, and small Chili Cheese Fries. My husband got the #3 Classic with Cheese & Bacon meal that comes with fries and a drink. He also got some sriracha chipotle mayo on the side. We ended up getting an extra side of chili too, in case the chili fries weren't enough :) We were both very pleased with our meals. I loved that the burgers came on brioche buns, and the meat patties were a good thickness. The thousand island sauce the burgers come with was tasty. The chili fries definitely met my craving, and hubby was happy to have his own side of chili to dip his fries in. When we finished eating, he said "I'm getting this exact same meal every single time!" So I think it's safe to say we will be back! Thank you Corner Burger for a yummy dinner :) read more

Whats a pleasant find. I wanted Chilli cheese fries went to yelp and this place came up. Ibwas skeptical and actually passed by the place. Once I park get I stroll in mom and pop place. The young lady that took my order was cool and professional, she kept calling by name which I like I was having a eh day but the place and the lady at the register was promising. This place is small and has out side dining my meal was about 19.00 with tip. The food was great. I ordered cheese burger extra pickles and Chilli fries with onions. Now I love onions however I wouldn't add red onions to Chilli cheese fries. My food arrived super fresh as I went to bite my burger the whole patty came off... It took me a couple of days before I decided to write this review because I had to process how we were treated. I would've given 0 stars but 1 is the lowest. I first want to say that we have been coming to this place every since it opened. We come here so much that they know what we order (its the same all the time) and they know my husband on a 1st name basis. The food has been good up until the weekend before last and this past Monday. Our breakfast burritos had burnt sausage & bacon both times. Monica, just to give you a little Cooking 101 you can't mix burnt food with any other food that is not burnt, Burnt flavor and smell will take over the whole dish. I say this because you tried to argue me up and down that the eggs and the potatoes weren't burnt. When I returned with the burnt food, you had the nerve to ask me what was burnt. I showed you in person and I took a picture (see below). You proceeded to tell me that our food that was re-made, and was sitting up there for an hour and if anything was wrong with it you will not be re-making anything else. Actually it was there 45 minutes; 30 minutes because that's how long Noelia said it would take to make again because there were orders before mine, and I gave you an extra 15 minutes to get it right. Here's another Cooking 101 message to you; if food is not BURNT, it can be re heated and still taste good, since you wanted to emphasize how long it was sitting there. Monica (not sure, but if you are one of the owners), you should know better and do better. It was your rude attitude and lack of accountability regarding one of your cooks that has turn us off of your establishment. It's OK, we are all entitled to have a bad day or a bad meal in your case. Just own up to it, APOLOGIZE( which we never got), and make it right. One thing we also noticed is that it was the same cook both times, an older lady. We are usually greeted by a young lady with glasses and a gentleman, both who are super nice. He cooks our food perfect all the time. Man I wish he was cooking/working our last 2 trips there.. I know this is a family business and it may go on deaf ears, however my husband is a social media influencer, and he swears by your food. He always posts and tag your business, and he has sent many of his followers to try your food.
