I have been to the corner cafe a couple times and it's always pretty busy. It took a while to get a table, there isn't a reservation system just "preferred seating" which I'm not sure if it makes difference. It was nice to get some complimentary small muffins. The jumbo lump crab cake was pretty disappointing looking because the crab cakes look tiny (strange considering the name jumbo lump) and are on tiny pieces of white bread. We have never been here, and saw good reviews but the service was TERRIBLE!! I do not recommend this place to anyone. It was just my boyfriend and I so not a big party at all. We didn't even see our waiter until 20 minutes after we sat down (I'm not even exaggerating, I kept up with the time). The couple sitting next to us even noticed how long it was until our waiter even came to our table. They even commented on his service towards us. He didn't check on us once, we had to wave him down to even get his attention. No drink refills, on top of that we were only given water and he didn't even ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. We went here on a Tuesday at 11:30. Waitress informed us they still had some of their breakfast options, but no poached eggs, pancakes, waffles, oats...basically just omelets available. Ok, so we all ordered lunches. My father doesn't like bread so he ordered a salad with chicken. I also ordered a salad. My mom ordered avocado toast and vegetable soup. A little while later, our waitress told us they were out of arugula and only had romaine so we could only have Caesar salad. I ended up ordering the grilled veggie sandwich (which was delicious) but my dad was sort of out of luck. He ordered the only other thing on the menu which was chicken with either lemon vinegrette or salsa verde, but when I was telling my dad his options, the waitress said they didn't have the salsa verde. So he just ordered the chicken and fries, a $16.50 meal. I totally understand that a lot of restaurants have a limited menu and may run out of things, it was just really disappointing when you keep ordering things that aren't available. Also, Very disappointed with what was served. If I was a restaurant owner, I would be embarrassed to serve this chicken and fries for almost $17. **Kid Friendly Review** In the middle of the hustling and bustling of Buckhead, there is this amazing dinner with great tasting food and baked goods to die for. Chocolate croissant, chocolate milk, and cheese grits are my kids go-to usually. I'm a huge fan of the fluffy omelets. What is REALLY great though is not only the kids menu options, but the menu itself. It is a picture they color in. Then they write their name and address on it and a "lucky" winner wins a free kids meal. GENIUS!! They know that a kid won't be pulling up without a parent of sorts. When my kids get the "Certificate" in the mail letting them know that they won, it makes them want to go back ASAP and it makes me want to give my $ to the restaurant. The Corner Cafe is a nice lunch spot with courteous employees. Victor was our server, and he was great! While the bread brought out before our food was pretty lackluster, especially for a bakery, our sandwiches were tasty. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, but I will not likely return as I think the food was way too overpriced. My sandwich cost almost $15 and didn't come with a side, aside from a little bit of greens as a garnish. An order of fries is 4.25, making a simple lunch of a sandwich and fries cost over $20 with tax and tip. The crab cake was so full of decadent crab meat. The egg was perfectly cooked with the yolk oozing down over the brioche toast. The citrus hollandaise was a little generous for my taste but a quick sweep of the knife and the excess was swept aside and made a nice little dip for the potatoes. My companion ordered the steak and eggs. It was equally delicious. Her eggs were cooked a little more than she likes but it was no problem, the kitchen quickly send out replacement eggs cooked to her liking. Coffee was hot, service was on point. Just attentive enough without making you feel rushed. Don't let me forget the little plate of mini muffins that grace the table when you arrive. We went to the Corner Cafe, and had a reservation because we were in a group, but still had to wait nearly an hour for a table. During the long wait, I asked to see a menu. The hostess said they didn't have any, and told to scan the QR code. But when we finally got to the table, there was a menu at each seat. Why wouldn't the hostess let me see a menu while we waited? Service was very slow. They left out the sausage on one person's plate. The knives were too dull to cut up the Eggs Benedict (ham and English muffin) without great effort. When you needed something, the waitress was nowhere to be found. We asked for another bottled soft drink and the waitress forgot to bring it. The waitress would not do separate checks for our party of more than 10 people. Then they wanted everything paid by credit card, but they refused to split up the bill. We paid in cash, and she asked what the cash was for. It is a cashless restaurant that refuses to split the credit card bill, so they got stuck having to take cash. How else are we supposed to pay when we are in a group if they won't split the bill? Poor service, but the food was good. read more

Went for a Sunday brunch based on the website and menu but were catfished beyond belief. The atmosphere is noisy and hectic, the decor is diner-esque, and the place is covered in the filth of centuries; but they still have the nerve to post a dress code. Although signs were up, it was obviously not enforced. The crowd was dressed in everything from pajamas to athleisure and the only people dressed business casual were managers (I assume) who speed walked aimlessly around the restaurant looking frantic. Was served coffee in a cup that still had lipstick on it. Ketchup and dust covering every surface. The food is less than stellar. I ordered a cinnamon crunch muffin because banana nut was out, and although it tasted great, it was served cold on a plate straight from the case- I can't even be sure if it was baked that morning. Also ordered the corned beef hash that comes with poached eggs. This place had a lot of confidence charging $16 for my plate- the eggs were BOILED and clearly not dropped in simmering water. They look like they were straight up baked in muffin tins. The hollandaise sauce covering the dish was tasteless, watery, and a weird shade of pastel pink/yellow. Their chicken and waffles is literally two chicken tenders on a toaster waffle with some bacon bits on top. Obviously this is one of the lesser cared for restaurants in the Buckhead Restaurant group. Although their other establishments boast the same dust and outdated decor, at least the food is palatable. Would not recommend this place at ALL. There are way better places in the area. 1 star given for our waiter, who was so sweet and gave great service. read more

Yesterday, Mother's Day, was my second visit to the Corner Cafe. The food and service is excellent however I have other concerns about the business that I feel the business owners should take seriously. First off when we drove in, the parking lot is pretty bad. Huge pot hole, very dirty, landscaping sketchy, lane markers almost faded away completely. And to top that off, when I stepped out of my vehicle I was greeted with the crunching of a broken glass vodka bottle. Not a good sign. Once inside, we were greeted warmly and seated quickly, even ahead of our reservation time. What is rather trippy, is that we were seated in the EXACT same seats we were in the first time we visited this place a few months ago. Which was just a coincedence I know, but being seated right at the service station and looking at the kitchen again? Is there a vibe we give off to the staff that we must be seated in the crummiest seat possible in the entire restaurant? There were plenty of seating options available, so it's not like the place was packed. Also, there is a published dress code which we adhered to, but upon entering I see many guests violating that code with no comment from the staff. Why did I bother to get properly attired when there are people wearing gym clothes, pajama pants and hoodies? All in all, the food was excellent, our service was wonderful and warm. Came here today for the first time for Father's Day and it was really good. The environment is very nice and friendly. You can either sit down inside or outside. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. For drinks we both ordered water. I decided to try the lavender mocha ice coffee it was awesome. My bf ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was really good too literally had like 5 of them. They give you lie three tiny muffins meanwhile you order and they were decent. As the main entrees for breakfast I got the grilled skirt steak and eggs Benedict and it was so good! Came on toast with fried green tomatoes, the steak and egg on top with a special sauce called Bèarnaise sauce, plus salt and pepper potatoes. It was a really good portion and also tried the croissant it was bomb. The only thing was that our server took a while on refilling our drinks possibly because we sat outside. I always passed by this place, but I finally had the chance to go for brunch today and I really wish I had found this place sooner! I had the traditional eggs Benedict (that's my baseline when trying out new brunch places), and it was pretty good, and the portion size was pretty generous as well (I couldn't finish the whole thing). What I like about this place is that it didn't feel super crowded (as some places tend to feel during weekend brunch hours), and although some people have complained about the quality of the muffins they give you to snack on while you wait for your food, I thought that was a cute and nice touch. They have a good mix of savory and sweet brunch options, as well as drink options (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and I'll definitely be back to try their sweet brunch options next! read more

Another place I used to frequent, Corner Cafe is a great lunch or weekend brunch spot... I went today with friends before heading to the airport. I have to say the service was not as great as I remember from a few years ago... but food quality was still excellent! I highly recommend their egg salad - I had an egg salad sandwich on fresh sunflower bread today - it really hit the spot! My friend Michael had their salad trio platter (it comes with egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad) which is served with a bread basket and some lettuce/tomato. We put in a special request for the raisin bread as it's delicious! My friend Leigh opted for the turkey reuben sandwich... we all cleaned our plates and were satisfied. With a small outdoor patio area and delicious looking pastries too, this place will not disappoint... it's been around for years - hopefully their service will come back to par soon.
