Came back to Corner Grill to try their Korean Tacos. It was a late-ish lunch on a Saturday, yet there were still quite a few tables of people eating a variety of foods. Staff was just as friendly as before, and the place still has that lived-in, homey charm. I ordered a pair of tacos: BBQ Beef and Crispy Shrimp. Both come with shredded cabbage, sliced jalapeños, cilantro and a creamy, mayo-based sauce. The shrimp taco worked perfectly, with a crispy, tasty coating giving way to plump, fresh shrimp. The sauce melded into the cabbage, almost making a slaw you might get on a po' boy, and the peppers added a nice heat. I added a squeeze of fresh lemon, and that rounded things out nicely. It was a great bite of seafood. The BBQ Beef was less successful. The mayo and an extra dollop of chipotle mayo were too much for the small taco, and overtook the flavor of the beef. The beef had a nice flavor, but was a bit too dry, and had been chopped a bit too finely -- I would have liked larger pieces to really enjoy the flavor. In fact, others were eating the BBQ Beef plate, and the beef there looked far more appealing. So, I'm not discouraged. I'll come back for the full plate treatment, and see how things stack up. I still think this is a great place that deserves your attention and support. Good people.
If you know, you know. We found Corner Grille years ago, and it has been amazing every single time. It's such a unique Korean-Mexican fusion spot -- flavors you truly won't find anywhere else. The combination sounds unexpected, but somehow it works perfectly. We've tried a few different items over the years, but the Chicken Korean Fries are our absolute favorite every time. Nothing like it exists. The flavors are bold, layered, slightly sweet, savory, and just combined so deliciously. It's one of those dishes you crave again and again. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot in a small shopping center -- super unassuming -- but don't let that fool you. It's 100% a must-try. Some of the best, most unique food is always hiding in places like this. If you're looking for something different and seriously delicious, put this on your list. We'll keep coming back.
Delicious Korean food from a unique Korean fusion restaurant that serves traditional Korean plates like beef BBQ with rice and salad, but also Korean style tacos and burgers. The beef BBQ was flavorful and a generous portion. Fried shrimp is delicious. Strange choice of Christian music if you dine-in.
I hadn't been here in a while since Covid, for no reason really. Glad to come back. I love Korean Fusion food and my order of a Beef Kalbi Burger and BBQ Chicken Salad were both fantastically filling and satisfying. The portions were good and very tasty! Staff were pleasant and the interior was clean and pleasant. Prices are reasonable too. I was surprised to be the only customer eating in, Parkimg could be tight however when I was there I got a spot outside.
After a glowing review from Jason the Chao, we immediately set sail to Corner Grille. Such an unassuming plaza holds an incredible fusion gem which really captures the Korean American combo. The galbi sandwich on Hawaiian sweet rolls is a classic that we have all put together at some time and this menu item was a favorite. My personal favorite was the fried chicken sandwich on brioche bun, and the tacos were also delightful--we tried one of each. I would say that the fish and shrimp were decent but the other tacos were excellent! They even brought some ice cream out for us on the house--what a wonderful treat! This restaurant really embodies the valley--fusion done very well, with no pretense, in a plaza you would pass by and not even notice. We will absolutely be back, as we enjoyed every bite!!
Was quite surprised by Corner Grille. The location is kind of sketchy and from the outside it doesn't seem like much. However once I ordered I discovered this may be one of my new favorite spots in the valley. It can take a minute to get your food but the wait is definitely worth it. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. Pretty sure I've tried half the menu at this point. There's only a few people on staff but all the food comes out piping hot and fresh as soon as it's ready. Their chicken strips are phenomenal. Very crispy and good flavor. The Loaded fries are also a MUST have with the beef on top. Just utterly delicious. This is a meal in itself. I've also tried the wings, Tacos, Kalbi Beef Burger, Chicken Teriyaki, and Xango. All of them where just outstanding. The staff has always been very nice and helpful as well. I highly recommend.
Nice tacos! I got the BBQ beef tacos and got to choose the spice level. I really liked the flavor of the beef, and the taco was delicious. The portion seemed pretty solid too. We ordered online for pickup, and it was very time efficient.
I wish we had taken pictures before devouring everything, but that just shows how good it was! We ordered the beef tacos, which were packed with flavor and loaded to perfection. We also tried the medium spice chicken plate with salad and rice, the spice level was just right, and every bite was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we got the macarons, and they even surprised us with an extra flavor to try, such a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Service was excellent, truly 10/10. The young lady who helped us was friendly, attentive, and walked us through the menu since it was our first visit. The food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. This experience definitely turned us into loyal customers, we can't wait to come back!
A small hole-in-the-wall spot tucked into a strip mall--not in the best part of town and with limited parking. The setup is modest, with plastic utensils and a no-frills dining area, just a step above fast food. That said, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is warm and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you care more about flavor than ambiance. A suggestion is to remove the award winning signs from many years ago. It makes one think "what happened that they're no longer winning any awards". One can also assume, they're up only to hide what goes on in the kitchen as the separation between kitchen and dining area is a glass wall.
Amazing Burger!!! I ordered the Hungry Boy Burger & it was delicious! Every single bite was amazing! Loved the grilled Hawaiian rolls, the spicy beef made the burger more dynamic & bursting with flavor, bacon was great quality & plenty of it, the special sauce went perfectly with the burger. Overall great experience & excellent Burger!
On 5/19 I visited the restaurant to get lunch for my overnight shift. I've always passed the restaurant and wanted to try it based on the reviews and pictures of the food. I went in to order 10 piece wings, which after tax was $18+. Overpriced and I should have walked out but ordered anyway since my time was limited. The large boards, bragging about their excellent reviews additional lead to me staying. While still waiting for my food, I ordered a Western Hamburger also know the wings would not be enough. So the pictures and videos are below. I wasn't going to bother with a review but after talking with a person the next day saying that the wings are normally cooked burnt, it was my duty to let you know to not order the wings. Go to 7/11 where they are bigger and taste better. Also burnt was the onion ring in the burger. I grade this restaurant a D for poor execution and lack of accountability. These wings went to the stray cats at work. At least they enjoyed my money. Will never go there again after no compensation for a disappointing experience. The last picture is what I thought I was buying off the menu. $26 total for a terrible meal. The ambiance was empty as only 1 person was in the restaurant and 1 person waiting for take out.
Came here for lunch again! Once again, they were nice enough to give us some free potstickers they were just as delicious as the first time. Place was a little quieter this time it was during the weekday so maybe it was just a little slower this day. But the food was still incredible. My husband ordered the kalbi beef ribs and I ordered the spicy beef bulgogi and salad with a side of rice. I actually love their salad. It is so good and the dressing that they give you is delicious. OK so next visit I definitely need to tell them just to make it regular because when they say spicy even though I picked just a small spice level or I believe it was medium it was really spicy. I couldn't eat it so I ended up giving half of it to my husband and taking half of it to go. My husband loved the ribs though they were absolutely delicious if you'd like spicy I recommend getting these and making the spice level high on them. And once again, we had a great visit. Definitely a good spot to grab a quick bite. Highly recommend giving them a shot. Thanks for another incredible visit corner Grill.

Corner Grille is little local shop with a pretty broad menu and decently low prices!! We ordered the Korean BBQ fries and the Hungry Boy burger. The fries were good -- I wish the meat to fries proportion was a bit more even (there were a lot of fries), but definitely a good amount of food for $7-8! You could probably finish them on your own if you're super hungry, but they're also shareable. My boyfriend felt that the hungry boy burger was just ok, nothing special, and something he could put together at home. Some things to note: they do have a lot of sandwich/burger options, fries, bowls, and even Korean tacos, so there is definitely a lot more on the menu to try than the two things I ordered! The parking lot is pretty tiny and was really busy. It was hectic getting in and out. Maybe I ordered the wrong things, but it doesn't seem like something I'd necessarily crave again, if that makes sense. They do have many menu options with cheap prices though, and you might find something you really like!! read more

Why 5 stars? Because it was what I hoped for and needed. --- --- --- After a very long day that started with a 5:15 ET alarm and a cross-country flight that was diverted for an unexpected 2-hour layover in Memphis, I was not only craving comfort fuel, but I physically needed it to go in with my day. I did my food research before arriving in LA, and scoped out Corner Grille as the exact type of thing I was looking for - something Korean, but not the full on experience, in a casual setting. With a 4.5 star rating and the menu options here, my search did not last long. And speaking of menu options, I knew exactly what I wanted, from the moment I walked in: the Kalbi Burger and K BBQ fries, hold the jalapenos. I even tacked on a mango slushie/smoothie because when mango flavored frozen sugar is available, I'ma get it. The Kalbi Burger was very tasty. It was served on Hawaiian Bread, which was basically just 4 Hawaiian Rolls that were never ripped apart, which was equal parts hilarious and delicious. Two small critiques: I wish it had a bit more sauce because I loved the flavor of it, and I wish there was a menu option with Bulgogi Beef. If that gets added to the menu, I might be a house in LA. The K BBQ fries really hit the spot. Despite already having a bunch of toppings, I added some ketchup on the side, and it made them even better! And the mango drink was the perfect beverage to wash it all down with. In addition to that, my wife ordered the Roscoe burger. It was the smallest and most basic burger, but quite tasty! All totaled, this meal came out to just under $22, which is pretty amazing, considering the quality of the food. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a fine dining establishment - it's actually a bit divey, but $22 is some great bang for your buck. One note of warning: if you're like us and have no familiarity with the area - the parking lot is comically small, so unless you win the luck lottery, you're going to have to go on a hunt for street parking. On a Saturday around 12:30p, we had to drive around for about 10 minutes before we found a spot. Totally worth it, but just a heads up! read more

So this place has been on our list for awhile since we searched for Korean in the valley and it's one of the few places that show up, and we finally made the trek over last weekend. This place is a small restaurant in a strip mall that doesn't have much parking. Very unassuming both inside and out. It's one of those places where you order up front and they bring your food to you. The service was prompt and friendly. Loved the little Korean lady manager! Now for the food, we ordered based on the Yelp reviews and it was solid. Kalbi burger - large but I was in charge and took it down like a champ. :) The Hawaiian bun added a nice flavor and the beef was plentiful. It was a little sweeter than I expected and tasted more like a pulled pork sandwich, but put some siracha sauce on it and it's good to go! Don't expect something like kalbi short ribs as this is almost more like bulgogi. Chicken wings - Huuuuuuge wings. We should have just ordered 3 rather than 6 since we were stuffed by the time they came. These are handmade and take longer as a result. We got the hot wings The batter is VERY thick, not like traditional hot wings. Reminds me of the Captain Crunch wings at The One Up. By itself they were just ok, but add the homemade ranch sauce on the side helped add more flavor to compliment the hot. Tacos - we got 2 fish and 2 beef because of the but 3 get one free special. Both types were good. Keep in mind the fish one is fried. Overall, everything was tasty and we'd come back! Definitely not your traditional Korean place but check it out! read more

Love this place. Total hole in the wall, located in the same plaza as 7-11 and yoshinoya. Parking lot is small and can be challenging to find a spot. I always get the kalbi burger and alternate between the chicken or beef Korean bbq fries. There is a small seating area inside but could get crowded depending on time of the day. Kalbi burger 5 stars 99% of the time. On occasion, they will burn the top of the Hawaiian bun and I have to remove the burnt parts. Korean bbq fries 5 stars. Honestly the best fries I've ever had. This place is such a hidden gem! Ironically it's located in sepulveda Blvd and you wouldn't even think this place would be good. They have all sorts of food such as Louisiana inspired Cajun shrimp, Korean bbq, traditional American hamburgers, and dirty fries fused with Korean bulgogi meat. Keep it up Corner Grille! Looks a little rough on the outside but the value and flavors of this place are impossible to ignore! Ordered the fried chicken sandwich and chicken Korean kbbq fries. The chicken sandwich tastes exactly like what you would order in a chicken katsu bento from a Japanese restaurant. The fries were flavorful but I wished the fries were more fresh and crispy. My husband and I were stuffed and satisfied. I'm excited to come back, seems like a great place to come for drunchies lol. read more

Road-tripped to L.A. for the weekend and stayed close to this gem along Sepulveda Boulevard. The Korean bbq I wanted to go to had a 1.5 hour wait time so I went here instead and I loved it! I ordered each of the korean tacos on the menu. One chicken, one beef, one fish and one shrimp. They had a special for the tacos- buy three get one free. So I couldn't pass up trying all of them. The meat was tender and juicy and the veggies on top were delicious. It helps to flatten the toppings before eating the tacos so that everything doesn't overflow when you take a bite. The lady at the counter (I'm assuming she's the owner) saw me struggling with the taco, (the amount of meat and veggies were a lot for the little corn tortilla) so she went over to my table, made a suggestion to help me out and took my fork and flattened the veggies and adjusted the corn tortillas to fit everything. Normally, I would have an issue with total strangers touching my cutlery, but this lady was way too cute to even get angry at! I thought she was really sweet. I also tried the korean bbq beef with rice and the meat, again, was tender and juicy and had great flavor. Lastly, I ordered the steamed gyoza (they also have the option of fried). Everything was yummy and only cost $30!That's the price of an AYCE Korean bbq for one person. Service was fast and friendly and the place was clean and there wasn't a ton of people or a cloud of smoke from the bbq when I went. I'll definitely go back to this joint when I'm in L.A. again. Bottom Line: Uhm, this is your cheat meal place. If you're reading this- DO IT Food: BuT wHy iS tHe FoOD sO gOoD TrIsTINa?! I DONT KNOW! It's just amazing! I can't really explain it, but they put everything that you don't even realize you need together on a plate. I love the Kalbi burger (I think that's how you spell it). It is definitely both filling and absolutely delicious- get it with fries. It is just something different that is a sure staple in the area- they ain't going NOWHERE. Service: This isn't a grab and go place so you'll have to wait a minute or two for your food- don't expect to just be in and out unless you order ahead of time Parking: The lot is really small so it can be hard to park during busy hours, so just be aware of that. Overall I'd be eating here every day and gaining 50 pounds a month so I save this place for special occasions! Delicious! read more

Came in and was pleasantly greeted. Because we couldn't make up our mind, we ordered: Kalbi Burger - Korean BBQ Beef, shredded cabbage, pickled onions, special sauce. Roscoe Burger - Beef, lettuce, tomato, pickles, special sauce Korean BBQ Fries - choice between beef or chicken, we chose beef. 1 kbbq beef taco. BBQ chicken with rice. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The parking lot is very tight and it's a no frills restaurant but overall worth the trek since it's really good food with great service. Yum! read more

Small little restaurant in the corner of a plaza with a yoshinoya. I came here after reading suggestions on Yelp of restaurants near me. I was immediately impressed by the 5 star rating & reviews! The plaza isn't the most curb appealing, but this restaurant is the hidden gem of the place! Parking also isn't the greatest so if you're lucky you can snag a spot. The lady at the counter was the absolute sweetest! Even though I had an idea of what I wanted to try through the Yelp reviews, the lady continued to give me recommendations. She was very sweet and delivered the food to our table. There were also a lot of customers today (some extremely annoying) but the staff was always polite and friendly. The place was honestly cleaner than what I expected! Lol I tried the KBBQ fries (beef), the crispy chicken burger and the Cajun shrimp. All we're delicious! The bulgolgi on the fries were tender and the fries were crispy! The crispy chicken was like a katsu chicken in a burger - so crispy! And the shrimp was delicious and has a spicy kick although different from boiling crab! I have yet to try the tacos (buy 3 get one free &I mondays they have a 2/$3 special on fish tacos) Check in for a drink! But if you don't check in, you get free refills on the drinks you pay for. I order from Door Dash for this place a lot and the food is delicious. The Kalbi burger is delicious and I get it once in a while however I get the beef plate at least once a week for my work lunch. The meat is delicious and I enjoy the different levels of heat. Medium is my choice which is on the picture however I get mild a lot too. Medium is not for ppl who don't like spicy food. Haha. Overall very good food I've tried the fries, beef tacos, fried chicken sandwich and they were all great I'd recommended this place for lunch! Great for work lunch too! read more

I've been wanting to come here for the longest and finally did it. The quality of the food was great, even though I got there right before closing. I had the kalbi burger, korean bbq fries and a steak taco. The fries had a little too much sauce on them but once you mix everything up it evens out with all the fries and meat underneath it. I'll definitely be going back to try some other menu options. Oh and I have to mention, if you're a spice lover like I am, I definitely recommend their spicy chili oil. A little bit goes a long way so be careful with it lol. read more

My favorite food spot in this area - awesome burgers and crave-satisfying Korean food. It's also close to the car dealerships in van Nuys, so it's a good place to go for a break or after a day of car-shopping. read more
This place has a unique menu, something you food find at a food festival or food truck given that I don't really have anything to compare the food here to since I've never had anything like it. They have a large menu but the most polar items are the kalbi burger, bulgogi fries, chicken burger and wings. I wanted to get the wings but there was a 20 min delay even though there was no one in the store. So my friends and I ended up getting the bulgogi fries and kalbi burger. The burger was good but nothing extraordinary, it was tender beef with charred pieces glazed in the kalbi sauce which was delicious. This paired with the slaw and Hawaiian roll was pretty good. The fries were ok they were nothing much. It also had nicely seasoned pieces of beef with jalapenos. Over all the food was good but wouldn't go again read more
