If you know, you know. We found Corner Grille years ago, and it has been amazing every single time. It's such a unique Korean-Mexican fusion spot -- flavors you truly won't find anywhere else. The combination sounds unexpected, but somehow it works perfectly. We've tried a few different items over the years, but the Chicken Korean Fries are our absolute favorite every time. Nothing like it exists. The flavors are bold, layered, slightly sweet, savory, and just combined so deliciously. It's one of those dishes you crave again and again. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot in a small shopping center -- super unassuming -- but don't let that fool you. It's 100% a must-try. Some of the best, most unique food is always hiding in places like this. If you're looking for something different and seriously delicious, put this on your list. We'll keep coming back.
Delicious Korean food from a unique Korean fusion restaurant that serves traditional Korean plates like beef BBQ with rice and salad, but also Korean style tacos and burgers. The beef BBQ was flavorful and a generous portion. Fried shrimp is delicious. Strange choice of Christian music if you dine-in.
I hadn't been here in a while since Covid, for no reason really. Glad to come back. I love Korean Fusion food and my order of a Beef Kalbi Burger and BBQ Chicken Salad were both fantastically filling and satisfying. The portions were good and very tasty! Staff were pleasant and the interior was clean and pleasant. Prices are reasonable too. I was surprised to be the only customer eating in, Parkimg could be tight however when I was there I got a spot outside.
After a glowing review from Jason the Chao, we immediately set sail to Corner Grille. Such an unassuming plaza holds an incredible fusion gem which really captures the Korean American combo. The galbi sandwich on Hawaiian sweet rolls is a classic that we have all put together at some time and this menu item was a favorite. My personal favorite was the fried chicken sandwich on brioche bun, and the tacos were also delightful--we tried one of each. I would say that the fish and shrimp were decent but the other tacos were excellent! They even brought some ice cream out for us on the house--what a wonderful treat! This restaurant really embodies the valley--fusion done very well, with no pretense, in a plaza you would pass by and not even notice. We will absolutely be back, as we enjoyed every bite!!
Was quite surprised by Corner Grille. The location is kind of sketchy and from the outside it doesn't seem like much. However once I ordered I discovered this may be one of my new favorite spots in the valley. It can take a minute to get your food but the wait is definitely worth it. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. Pretty sure I've tried half the menu at this point. There's only a few people on staff but all the food comes out piping hot and fresh as soon as it's ready. Their chicken strips are phenomenal. Very crispy and good flavor. The Loaded fries are also a MUST have with the beef on top. Just utterly delicious. This is a meal in itself. I've also tried the wings, Tacos, Kalbi Beef Burger, Chicken Teriyaki, and Xango. All of them where just outstanding. The staff has always been very nice and helpful as well. I highly recommend.
Nice tacos! I got the BBQ beef tacos and got to choose the spice level. I really liked the flavor of the beef, and the taco was delicious. The portion seemed pretty solid too. We ordered online for pickup, and it was very time efficient.
I wish we had taken pictures before devouring everything, but that just shows how good it was! We ordered the beef tacos, which were packed with flavor and loaded to perfection. We also tried the medium spice chicken plate with salad and rice, the spice level was just right, and every bite was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we got the macarons, and they even surprised us with an extra flavor to try, such a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. Service was excellent, truly 10/10. The young lady who helped us was friendly, attentive, and walked us through the menu since it was our first visit. The food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. This experience definitely turned us into loyal customers, we can't wait to come back!
A small hole-in-the-wall spot tucked into a strip mall--not in the best part of town and with limited parking. The setup is modest, with plastic utensils and a no-frills dining area, just a step above fast food. That said, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is warm and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you care more about flavor than ambiance. A suggestion is to remove the award winning signs from many years ago. It makes one think "what happened that they're no longer winning any awards". One can also assume, they're up only to hide what goes on in the kitchen as the separation between kitchen and dining area is a glass wall.
On 5/19 I visited the restaurant to get lunch for my overnight shift. I've always passed the restaurant and wanted to try it based on the reviews and pictures of the food. I went in to order 10 piece wings, which after tax was $18+. Overpriced and I should have walked out but ordered anyway since my time was limited. The large boards, bragging about their excellent reviews additional lead to me staying. While still waiting for my food, I ordered a Western Hamburger also know the wings would not be enough. So the pictures and videos are below. I wasn't going to bother with a review but after talking with a person the next day saying that the wings are normally cooked burnt, it was my duty to let you know to not order the wings. Go to 7/11 where they are bigger and taste better. Also burnt was the onion ring in the burger. I grade this restaurant a D for poor execution and lack of accountability. These wings went to the stray cats at work. At least they enjoyed my money. Will never go there again after no compensation for a disappointing experience. The last picture is what I thought I was buying off the menu. $26 total for a terrible meal. The ambiance was empty as only 1 person was in the restaurant and 1 person waiting for take out.
Amazing Burger!!! I ordered the Hungry Boy Burger & it was delicious! Every single bite was amazing! Loved the grilled Hawaiian rolls, the spicy beef made the burger more dynamic & bursting with flavor, bacon was great quality & plenty of it, the special sauce went perfectly with the burger. Overall great experience & excellent Burger!
After eating here I found out This place was rated 2nd best taco joint on Business Insider in 2017 in the US; this was unexpectedly good! Service is buy first; seat yourself. Food isn't fast fast food which is honestly great. Flavor of tacos is perfect fusion of Korean-Mexican. The kbbq fries though are a heart attack, but yummy. The tacos special (buy 3, get 1) is $8.97, delicious and affordable. My tummy and wallet are happy. The kalbi burger was stuffed. Portions are definitely American-sized here and no complaints. Tldr; if you want damn good Korean tacos or a fusion spin on tacos, come here. read more

Unique and tasty is how I describe Corner Grille. Been a long time since returning and nearly forgot how good their Kalbi burger is. The Korean beef bbq shines through with tons of flavor and nice meaty, easy to chew bites. Complimented with delicious fresh bread and a nice crunch from the cole slaw and pickled onions. Will return when back in area for work lunch. read more
A friend of mine recommended that I try the burgers here. And which I did. Came here one night with my wife. We didnt dine in, just ordered to go. Our order included their most famous kalbi burger x3. The korean beef meal and one of their burgers that has fried pork and korean beef. They have a lot in their menu and said we'll just come back some other time to try the others. So, we got home and my friend was dead right they were delicious! Very tasty. We'll definitely come back here. Service was fast, serving was really good and with the price tag, it's well worth it. Very good overall. 4 stars for now until we try their other food. read more

Are you tired of eating plain ordinary hamburgers? If you are, then you should head on over to Corner Grille in Panorama City, California! They have a very diverse menu, and they make more than just burgers. It's not easy to find a parking spot at Corner Grille. The little strip plaza that they are located at has very tight parking spots so be careful. They are so worth finding a parking spot for even if you have to walk a ways to get to their restaurant. I came during covid times so no dining inside was allowed. The ladies who greeted me were kind and helpful. I decided to try their Kalbi Burger. Inside the buns is a mix of Korean bbq beef, shredded cabbage, pickled onions, and special sauce. I was not too hungry so I did not order any other food. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Found some street parking away from the plaza, and looked forward to eating my burger. At first bite, I was not too impressed with my Kalbi Burger. With each bite going forward, though, the burger kept tasting better and better and better!!! The Korean bbq beef was very flavorful. Burger was really messy to eat so make sure to have napkins. As they say....."if it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face". I look forward to visiting Corner Grille in the future so I can partake of more of their food. They have a lot on their menu that I want to try so I'll come hungry next time. read more

Came back to Corner Grille and wow it's still as good as before. The AYCE kbbq place we wanted to go to had an hour wait, so we swung by here and went straight to the front of the line. I ordered the KBBQ Beef which reminds me of bulgogi and it definitely hits the spot! Huge portions of meat, along with an ample amounts of salad made this meal satisfying as well as potentially lower calories than AYCE! I really enjoyed the quality of the food, especially in panorama city ! read more

Having moved from Koreatown, I was afraid of not being able to find good Korean food. I was partly correct; there aren't as many options in the valley for Asian food. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find this fusion spot about 5 mins away from my condo. The relatively small shop is located inside a busy plaza, in the corner next to Yoshinoya. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by the owner and workers. Everyone had a smile on their face and you just know that they enjoy their job. With some recommendations from the owner, we ordered the following items: -- Kalbi Burger: SO DELICIOUS! But be prepared to get down and dirty with your hands.. meat will spill out from the buns. I personally liked the sweet buns even though it was probably too soft to hold both the meat and all the shredded in place. -- Cancun style Shrimp plate: this was also good but a little too sweet for my taste. -- Tacos (buy 3 and get 1 free): With the deal, we got one of each meat. I only tried the fish one and it was yummy! I thought they fried the fish perfectly-light crust on the outside and still soft in the inside. We also got a spicy sauce on the side for $0.50. I thought this sauce really helped balance the sweeter taste of the burger. But dip it wisely--it was indeed spicy! I cannot wait to come back and try other items on the menu! read more

Was skeptical to try this place cause of the location but wow, talk about hole in the wall! I got the Korean BBQ beef tacos (Buy 3 get 1 free), side of fries, side of ranch, yummy kimchi, and the crazy hot sauce (Scoville units were at least 1 million in my opinion, lol) KBBQ BEEF TACOS: 2 corn tortillas, beef that is perfectly marinated, cabbage, special sauce, cilantro, jalapeño, and salsa. *chefs kiss* I tossed in the kimchi with the tacos, so good. 5/5 recommend Will try to bulgogi burger next time! read more

I was going to write a good review but this crazy Korean b- manager *ahem... scolded me that she told me price difference for BUN SWAPPP!! *trademarked She didn't... and she kept arguing with me. Wow I know she didn't since I would have just kept regular bun. Anyways I hate arguing at my restaurant so I left ... it was embarrassing and this is one of the reasons I don't like living in these areas or parts of town... not so great area not so great service... Corner Grille is one of the best places I've experienced in 2020. The location isn't ideal and parking isn't the best, but the food here makes it all worth it. My boyfriend and I tried a variety of goods and they were all amazing! The fried chicken sandwich is a must order!! The chicken is perfectly crispy and the bun is out of this world. The kimchi burger had the most amazing flavors we've tasted in a while. The tenders had a lot of breading, but it was unique and delicious tasting. The kalbi fries are incredible and enough to share with 3 people. The tacos were good, but I probably wouldn't order again. The food isn't greasy and didn't leave me feeling yucky, considering how fried/carby it was. I can't wait to come back, ordering online was super easy and the order was ready on time! read more
Its interesting to see a Korean burger joint in the San Fernando valley. Came by one day during a work lunch with the team and ordered a butt load of items to try. The place advertised their Bulgogi burger to win an award so that was a definite must. Fish tacos are great while the KBBQfries is a good choice as well. If you like hole in the wall style food, Corner Grille has that same feel at a sit down environment. My only complaint is this place is not open on Sundays, the day of the week that I most likely would want to come. I guess I'll just have to shift that day over one. My first review of the year! Love this place I've been her couple times already and both times it's been great. I order my food on Yelp go pick it up always ready in time. The food has a lot of flavor and it's pretty big portions get you full. So far I've tried their Korean BBQ salad and Korean BBQ and both times were great. You get the Korean BBQ bowl and it's pretty healthy you will not regret it. read more

Highly impressed. I was looking for a good fried chicken sandwich but didn't have time to wait in the hours of lines at Dave's Hot Chicken (in Hollywood) or Howlin' Ray's (dtla). Being in the valley, I came across this place. Having tried Korean fried chicken before, I chose to make a visit. Korean fried chicken is always made so differently than American style, the breading or oil is different and it's just better. This sandwich did not fail me. So good. Though the sandwich was more than enough, I added bulgogi fries too. Couldn't finish it. Similar to carne fries but the beef is different. The sauce on the fries was a little thick - but on the sandwich, it was perfect. You can always count on little shops like this in the valley to be not-trendy (overly expensive) but actually well made. Bravo Corner Grille :) Oh, the staff was so sweet and attentive too! read more

I'm so upset with myself for not coming here sooner. I ordered the Kalbi Burger minus the pickled onions. This burger was amazing. The tender sweet meat, paired with the crunchy cabbage and slightly spicy sauce, made for a truly delicious burger. In fact as soon as I took my first bite, I knew I wanted to try everything on the menu. I've never tasted something like this before. Very original and very tasty. I also ordered the Korean BBQ Fries with beef. The fries were good and I would order them again, but not as thrilling as that Kalbi Burger was. I would also recommend sharing the fries, because one order is enough for two people. If your in the area, you should check this place out. But be aware, the parking situation is awful. read more

Went here during a break from work with a friend. I've been going here for a long time, found this place through yelp. When I went years ago it was the number one place on Yelp in the whole neighborhood. I always get the chicken bbq, it's so bomb!! Also love the tacos. Finally got to try this place and it did not disappoint. Korean fusion by my house and it's cheap. I'm a happy camper! It's unfortunate that it's not aesthetically pleasing and the location is in the most inconvenient cross streets but it's worth getting past those crazy cross streets. Good prices, good portions. Tried the Korean bbq fries - sauce was bomb. Thin crispy fries. It's that's you're speed then give it a try. Chicken cutlet was big portion also cooked well and came with a spicy mayo eel sauce type of thing. BOMB! similar to the sauce on the fries. Lastly for 3.99 the western roscoe burger - small but good mimics the western at Carl's Jr. hits the spots simple but delicious! I think this a great spot for this area. I will be back to try more. Got the Tacos Special (order 3 tacos and get one free) - $8.97 and ordered all 4 Korean Tacos off their menu! The chicken and beef tacos were both BBQ'd, topped with pickled onions, shredded cabbage and salsa, and were both good. The fish and shrimp tacos were both deep fried, topped with tartar sauce, shredded cabbage, and salsa and were both really good and not oily at all! The creamy sauce drizzled on top of all 4 tasted like a spicy mayo (mayo + siracha?)? The Korean BBQ Fries - $5.99 is another popular item on their menu which a choice of chicken or beef. I opt for the beef. It was a bit overcooked and the mayo was a bit overwhelming. But overall, a good portion. The Kalbi Burger was good and prepared nicely. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Located in the plaza southwest of Sepulveda Blvd. and Roscoe Blvd. Parking is shared with other business and can be hard to find a spot depending on the time you go. read more

Came here after reading the great reviews and my boyfriend was craving a burger. We usually go with the usual burger spot, but so glad we changed it up and came here! The Kalbi Burger was delicious and flavorful, with a perfect toasted Hawaiian bread bun. The tacos were also really good. They have a buy 3, get 1 free special. I got 2 beef, 1 chicken, and 1 fish. The fish still had a crispyness even after being driven home to eat. My favorite was the beef. Favorite item of the night were the Korean BBQ beef fries! They were so good!! The slaw had a good crisp and the sauce that topped each item was to die for! I could've head a side of sauce and used it all for the bottom layer of fries! Definitely will be coming back here sometime soon to try more items! There is a wide variety of items on the menu! read more

We tried the kalbi burger, BBQ beef, and Korean BBQ fries. The kalbi burgers was delicious! I just wish they added a little more beef. Thee BBQ beef had great flavor but a bit dry and they put too many sliced peppers. The fries was good too! I would eat there again for the kalbi burger and maybe try something new. read more

While in town on business, I stopped in and ordered the pork Korean barbecue dish. It was a very generous portion of it very well seasoned and prepared meats, onions, and cabbage. I also got their salad, which had a delicious variety of mixed greens with a wonderful vinaigrette. The rice was Soso, and a little too sticky until the end, when I use the remnants to dip into that incredible vinaigrette to wrap up the meal. Highly recommended on all levels! read more
