Right on the dot, my specialist Tracy greeted me with such a calm and happy demeanor. She led me up the stairs to the treatment area above the salon and was completely mind blown as to how much of a transformation from the downstairs to the upstairs was. Tracy led me right to this cute little sitting area where she prepped the foot soak and then checked to make sure the water was the appropriate temperature and then asked if I would like some water or tea to drink. I opted for the tea while I was resting she had me preview some essential oils for use for the facial massage... and the rest is history... because after that... I was completely in la la land. I woke up with soft hands and arms, soft feet, destressed head and shoulders, hydrated face and a cleaning scalp with hair that you just want to run your fingers through. 10/10 would do this again... maybe even 2 weeks from now. The location is so super convenient by CSULB campus, which is a major plus for us students! Not only is the location amazing, but the service, prices, nail techs, and atmosphere is all AWESOME. The business constantly is offering monthly deals, and a student discount if there is not a current deal. Which, when it comes to nails and beauty services, we know a good deal can be super helpful! There was no one in sight, and the owner came out of nowhere pushing a pedicure when i only wanted a gel manicure and re-dip. I got my dip powder underneath re-dipped but in the process there was clumps of dried dip all over the underneath of my nails. She also ripped off a perfectly good dip layer previously applied and tried to rip off the other ones. I asked her to please don't do that, i just want a re-dip. I noticed that 3 of my nails were uneven with the powder and asked if she could reshape them. She kept speaking outside of english and laughing. I let it roll of the back cause that's neither here nor there. I asked for a french tip on milky white nails - SUPER SIMPLE - or so I thought, and i even showed two images of what i wanted. She proceeds to ignore the pictures and say "I know i know" ..ok. She didn't know because after 3 attempts she still couldn't get it. I told her i didn't want anything else to be done to the nails and for the color to be taken off. In between filing which she filed WAYYY too short, was cutting into my skin on every nail and rounded the nail edges when i asked her not to because i said to her "I don't like the edges rounded" I got ignored yet again while being laughed at again. I can only tolerate so much before i get disrespected when im paying for a service. Picked up my belongings and left. I will never step foot into this pathetic excuse of a nail salon again.

Getting my nails done is something of a chore for me - I hate sitting still for that long - so…read morepre-COVID, I always splurged on a higher end experience at a salon in Belmont Heights, because if I was going to be strapped to a chair for 60-90 minutes, I damn sure should be overpaying for the privilege! :) Post-covid, my favorite tech from my aforementioned salon left the business for a 9-5 but did in-home work for favored clients, of which I was one, so that's how I rolled for several years. However, about a year ago, I wanted to get my nails done to treat myself prior to a surgery, and I stopped in here without an appointment. Since then, they have become my go-to, as someone who only bothers to go every 4-6 weeks. I've walked in even on relatively busy days and haven't had to wait (it's like ladies just materialize!), their work is fine [for my purposes], they are reasonably-priced, they are very friendly, the vibe is very chill. A couple of notes - I don't get gel nails, just regular mani-pedis, so I can't speak to gel or acrylic experiences. I'll also say that at the more expensive salon, the polish seems to last longer (and I always bring my own color, so perhaps it's a difference in base/top and/or application). The higher end salon is also a little better at callous removal. But for the price and convenience, as someone who basically just goes to get "cleaned up" and not to impress anyone later, I don't have any real complaints. As has been mentioned, they accept credit for payment, but tips need to be in cash. I usually stop in unplanned and often find myself without cash, but fortunately, there's a credit union ATM steps away that solves the problem.

My mother has been a client for many years and has consistently scheduled her appointments through Karen. During her last three visits, she was met with unprofessional and hostile behavior. Most recently, you yelled at her and questioned her integrity regarding her appointment, demanding that she call Karen on the spot to prove she was not lying. It is not our responsibility to manage the lack of communication between you and your employees. I have personally confirmed my mother's call logs and the time she spent coordinating her appointments. There is no excuse for harassing a long-standing client or speaking to anyone with such a lack of respect. Due to this experience, we will not be returning to your business.

He sat me down and started a soak-off, and while that was finishing, what I assume is a "regular" walked in around 11:13am and asked, "should I come back later?" since there were already about 6 people being serviced. He told her no, to sit at another table, and then got up and left me mid-service to go help her. Mind you, I only had gel on, so it's a soak-off with acetone and then drill off the rest. He started servicing her and never came back to me or communicated anything, he just walked away. Around 11:18, another lady noticed that the man just left me mid service and moved me to a pedicure chair and started my pedicure. After a while, the man finally came back to continue on my nails. I politely asked him to remove the aluminum foil, and he said he would finish doing my nails, but at that point I declined service based on how everything was handled. The other lady told me he "had an appointment," but I don't believe that was the case because she had just walked in and asked if she should come back later, not that she was there for a scheduled appointment.
