Honestly loved the vibes of this place! Inside is very nice with a huge variety of seating (booths, couches, bar, regular tables). The decor is cool. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. She gave some great suggestions for us first-timers. We got the mushroom & walnut soup, tandoori wings, and Scottish eggs to share. The soup was really yummy (even on a hot day haha). The tandoori wings were alright, nothin' special. The Scottish eggs were so good; there was so much flavorful and a good crisp on the outside. I ended up getting the lamb and mint pasty. It was bigger than I was expecting and absolutely loaded with lamb! The flavor was fantastic and the pasty outside wasn't soggy and held up. First this new location is BEAUTIFUL. I need to know the color of the paint in the ladies room on the stalls. I have to say that the very first time I tried Cornish Pasty Company I was not impressed. We went to the Tempe location off of Mill, about 6 years ago. I'm so happy we gave it another go. I'm from The U.P (if ya know ya know). So I have high expectations of a pasty. I'm not a huge fan of a non traditional pasty. BUT I will eat the chicken pot pie pasty from here. I have been back twice just for a large pasta salad to go. I will eat it for days. The broccoli, cauliflower cheese are delicious, the potatoes also outstanding. On to the service. We went in the "lounge " door and it took my breath away. I was not expecting it. We sat at the bar where a very busy and friendly bartender was so happy to get us some drinks and food. I can't remember his name but his Dad is a wonder gentleman named Mike. Mike's son made me a Hugo spritz and wasn't sure what was in it and I'm not throwing shade. I'm actually impressed he asked how to make it. I have ordered at other places and they just guess. So thank you Mikes son I applaud you for asking!! You will be the reason I sit at the bar again. This is my new favorite place. I will be going back for the delicious food. It's great looking on the outside with nice outdoor seating but it's even cooler inside. So many great seating areas and 2 really nice bars. We went for lunch but I bet it's great for a date or to hang out with a group of friends. Our waitress Nuvia was amazing. Excellent brand ambassador. She was so kind and showed me all over. She had great suggestions and gave us excellent service. It was hard to pick with so many options but we finally decided on the Cubano and Chicken Pot Pie with a side of "chips". I highly recommend saving room for the caramel apple pasty. It was amazing. So glad we only ate half of our lunch. We will definitely come back again and will ask to sit in Nuvia's section. They have an excellent cocktail and beer list. All the food that we have tried has been delicious. I understand that they are known for their pasties but their pasta salad is great as well. My favorite pasty is the chicken pot pie and I want to try the chicken tikka. The Reuben and Guinness stew pasties are pretty tasty too. The location in Glendale is really interesting. I've been to the Downtown Phoenix location a few times and have always had a good time, so once I saw this one open up closer to my house, I had been trying to find an excuse to go. Some friends were visiting from out of town, so we decided to meet up at this new Cornish Pasty. We had a great time! Our server, T, was super helpful and patient with us. She also took the time to chat with us and get to know us, which just made the experience much more pleasant. The drinks came out really good and the loaded French fries were delicious! We also took some group pictures with the decor in the background. It's a pretty picturesque place. The only downside is that my fiancée and I are big on espresso martinis, but, unfortunately, this location doesn't serve them since they don't have espresso. Came for a daddy daughter valentines date lunch. My daughter loved the vibes and that's always great. Only immediate setback was they sold out of the hamburger pasty but Italiano to the rescue. She was also willing to try the Scotch egg which WOW was delicious. Downtown Glendale needs some revitalizing and the new city manager from gilbert has started it off well by bringing Cornish to the area. We couldn't wait for this place to open! As soon as we found out it was coming to Downtown Glendale we were on high alert. We've been to one in Tempe, but this is so much closer to us. They just opened this past weekend and we've been there twice already. Our first time, Hubby got the Cream of Leek soup to start. It was a small cup, but according to him, very filling. It came with some fresh bread and butter on the side. He loved it! For his main, he got the Chicken Pot Pie pasty. It came with Chicken Gravy, which he poured all over, because he said it was so good. I got The Pilgrim (think Thanksgiving dinner in a perfectly baked flaky crust). It's got Turkey, Stuffing, Onions and Sweet Potato in it with a side of Cranberry Sauce and Red Wine Gravy. OMG!! The turkey was so moist, I didn't even need the gravy. But, I did slather the cranberry sauce on each bite. It was delicious...and so filling, I couldn't eat anything after. Hubby decided to try the Banoffee Pie...Graham Cracker Crust, Whipped Cream, Sliced Bananas and Toffee Sauce drizzled all over it. He really enjoyed it. I took a few bites and it was soooo good! On our second visit, just last night, Hubby wanted to try Mushy Peas, so he ordered some. He liked it...he'd always wanted to try them. We also got some fresh bread and butter for the table. For his main, Hubby got The Oggie (The Traditional Pasty with Steak, Potato, Onion and Rutabaga with a side of Red Wine Gravy or Ketchup). He opted for both on the side...LOL! I ordered The French Dip which contains Roast Beef, Swiss Cheese and Onions with a side of the Red Wine Gravy and Horseradish Sour Cream. I preferred the Horseradish Sour Cream on mine, so asked for 2 of them, instead of the Gravy. Everything was wonderful and tasty! For our dessert, we split the Sticky Toffee Pudding with a side of Creme Anglaise (you can get ice cream on the side, if you prefer). The Pudding came in a little "cauldron"-style bowl with the Toffee bubbling. It was amazing! Both times our servers have been so friendly and warm. We can't wait to go back again to try something new off their vast menu!!! read more

I'm working my way thru the pasty's. I'm on a mission. I have to tell you something soooo specific.... The attention to detail and the mindfulness is not missed on this patron. They protected the original brick by covering it in a plexiglass of some sort as to not corrode or discolor the brick, FOR ME, that's everything!!! Salvaged antique art, salvaged church pews in amazing wood you can't find seating like this just anywhere anymore everything is made to break down but not the antiquities, Neh neh. I had never heard of a pasty before the first time my friend took me to Cornish Pasty for dinner. I was a little leery because while I do branch out and try new things, I do so with some trepidation when it is this far out of my norm. The first time we went we each got a different pasty (she got the bangers and mash and I got the Chicken Greek). We also got the scotch egg. It was all amazing, and I was sold on a new type of food. We have been back at lunch time and I had a salad while she got another pasty. Once again everything tasted amazing. The service is good, though drink refills did take a bit longer during our lunch time visit. The decor is very different and lends itself to the atmosphere. I made reservations for 12 and a high chair, they took my reservation but I would have liked it if they would have informed me when I made the reservation that we would be at two separate tables. I have been to your establishment twice now and always a great experience and the food is very good. I know most of your tables are booths, just a suggestion would be to maybe have one big table for big parties or little tables that u can move together to make a big table. Nope. Gordon Ramsay always says if the menu is gigantic, the food is frozen. The menu is huge. Probably 90 different pasties. This was not my pick but I went along with it. Housemade ranch was good but salad was uninspired for $8/half. Pasties had to have been cooked from frozen then put in a grill or oven which beeped loudly. Ours both came burned on the bottom which was all you could taste. They are huge and come sliced in half. I didn't finish the first half - wasn't worth the burned taste in my mouth. The Paulaner beer had no head - an indicator of dirty pipes. My gin drink was great but no one ever asked if we wanted another drink. It was a weird vibe. Lots of people running around working and appearing busy but little follow up. read more

We have been looking forward to Cornish Pasty Co. opening in Glendale for quite a while; we went there tonight and it did not disappoint. The Scotch Egg to start was spot on, so delicious. My husband had the Chicken Pot Pie pasty and I had the French Dip pasty. Both were I'd-get-this-again good. If you haven't had one of their pasties, be advised: they are very filling. Matt, the bartender, was our server and was very friendly and attentive. We were pleased to see the restaurant filling up on a Wednesday night. The pasty was very badly burned. When I asked the server if I could get another one he became testy telling me that this is how they are always served. The pasty's at the table next to me were golden brown. I asked for a par baked pasty. The server demanded to tell me that it would bake burned in my oven also. How is this possible? I love black pepper, but the pasty was very heavily peppered and salty. My friend that was dining with me commented to me that her food was absolutely horrible. I was not looking for my meal to be comped which was a nice gesture. It did not make up for the servers caustic attitude and the uneatable food. I had the Guinness stew - lots of veggies but I thought there needed to be a bit more meat and gravy. My friend had the chicken pot pie and felt much the same. She felt that hers didn't have many veggies and needed more gravy as well. Drinks were not the usual lemon drop (served in a shot glass) or cosmopolitan (not much liquor), something seemed missing in both. We both looked forward to dessert. The Sticky Toffee tasted burned and didn't have much of a toffee or caramel flavor. The Chocolate bread pudding was also burned and lacked flavor, couldn't cut through it with the spoon. Our waitress was very sweet and fairly attentive. Not sure why we had to wait such a long time for our desserts. May have been why they were burned.
