In all honesty, I did not enjoy my time here. First with the valet. The car after me was attended to before me, which I found odd because the valet attendant literally attended the car before me, skipped me to go to the car behind me. After they serviced the person behind me they went back inside and took about 8-10 mins to comes out and attend to me. I would like to note that valet is $10 and they do take tap to pay. The man did apologize though . I go inside and the host gives me directions to my table. People ordered drinks and we're having conversation around 9pm we ordered out food. Our food doesn't actually come out until 10pm and the restaurant closes at 10:30pm. During that hour wait, they come around with different starters on the house: the polenta crisp and ding form of pork sausage. For the polenta crisp they fishing explain what they were putting on the table so we initially thought it was regular potato fries then we thought it was yuca. That was nice but it got to a point that we just wanted our actual food. When the food finally does come out everybody's food is various temperatures. I ordered the Pollito a la Provenzal and it like warm. The chicken was flavorful but pretty plain by itself. The portions of some of decides it pretty nice so ended up sharing them around famiky style. Between the mashed potatoes, broccolini,and the grilled potato slices the best was the mashed potatoes. It was flavorful, nice creamy and a good temperature. We asked for the bill shortly after receiving our food and that took another long wait and when we got our tickets peoples bill's were wrong. We had a large party so note that they charge automatic gratuity. The restroom was a little dirty. There were hand prints all over all the mirrors. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE -- SPENT ABOUT $300 FOR TWO PEOPLE AND WAS INSULTED BY OUR SERVER ON THE WAY OUT I came to Corrientes 348 for a date night expecting an upscale steakhouse experience. Our receipt was $287.84, including an automatic 18% gratuity, and I left an additional tip on top of that, bringing what I paid to approximately $300. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I wasted my money and wishing we had gone somewhere else. The evening didn't start particularly well. We were initially seated toward the back next to a screaming child, which wasn't the atmosphere we expected for a date night at an upscale steakhouse. We asked to be moved, and I do appreciate that the restaurant accommodated us. The food itself was okay, but nothing memorable enough to justify the price in my opinion. We ordered the half Parrillada de Carnes, empanadas and sides. Based on the food and the experience up until the end of dinner, I probably would have given the restaurant 3 stars. What completely changed my opinion happened as we were leaving. Our server was Brenda R., and we were seated at Table 24. Brenda made a comment comparing my appearance to someone else. I immediately responded, "That's not a compliment." At that point, a simple apology would have ended the situation. Instead, she continued talking about the comparison and tried to explain or justify what she meant. What made this especially frustrating is that I had already given Brenda an additional tip on top of the restaurant's 18% gratuity before this happened. I had no issue rewarding the service up to that point. Then, on my way out of the restaurant, I ended the night feeling insulted by the same person I had just tipped. It was also embarrassing because the entire interaction happened right in front of my date. Once a customer explicitly tells you that a personal comment about their appearance isn't a compliment, continuing to make or defend that comparison is inappropriate. The professional response is simply to apologize and move on. I don't know what Brenda intended by the comment, and I'm not claiming she deliberately set out to offend me. But I made it very clear how I received the comment, and instead of apologizing, she continued. Intent doesn't erase the impact of the interaction. For an upscale restaurant where I spent approximately $300 for two people, I expect considerably better judgment and professionalism. The most disappointing part is that I would have given Corrientes 348 a better review before this happened. The food wasn't exceptional in my opinion, but it wasn't terrible. I probably would have rated the restaurant around 3 stars and moved on. Instead, what should have been an enjoyable date night ended with me wanting to leave immediately because of an unnecessary and uncomfortable interaction with our server. I have the receipt documenting Brenda R. as our server, Table 24, on August 15, as well as the $287.84 restaurant total before my additional tip. I will be contacting management because I believe they should know exactly how our evening ended and have an opportunity to address it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Corrientes 348. When I spend approximately $300 on a date-night dinner, I expect to leave talking about how good the meal was--not about being insulted by my server on the way out. read more

When the massive meat platter arrived, I even told the staff this meat is not all rare... No reply. Okay, no more visits. Corrientes 348 is an upscale Argentinan style restaurant. The ambience is very nice, contemporan, and the service is very friendly. I ordered tapa de cuadril, which turned out to be one of the tastiest of this genre I have eaten. Perfectly prepared to medium rare, it was an absolute delight. Grilled zuccini combined nicely, and the accompanying chimichurri sauce as well as grilled garlic bread gave an elegant, final touch. The price was well in par with such a treat. My friends and I came here for DFW restaurant week. It was our first time at Corrientes 348. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff were so friendly. We ordered off of the dinner menu. Started with the empanadas and salad which were both amazing. I had the pollito a la provenzal, it was perfectly cooked with a side of pure de papas which were so creamy and delicious. I finished with the creme brulee. The portion size was big so I got to bring my leftovers home and enjoyed everything again the next day for dinner..I highly recommend this restaurant, I will definitely be back soon! read more

Great food, great service, and a surprisingly peaceful downtown patio We'd been at a conference just a couple blocks away, and with most of our group staying at the Fairmont, Corrientes 348 started as just a convenient option--but it turned out to be a great choice. It was a beautiful day, so we grabbed a large shaded table on the patio. Despite being downtown, it was pleasantly quiet after business hours, and the setting was perfect for our group. Our servers were friendly, professional, and took excellent care of us throughout the evening. We shared a variety of appetizers and entrees, and everything was delicious--well-prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned. This spot delivered far more than just convenience. I arrived early to this quaint restaurant that was once a house in downtown Dallas and sat at the bar and was greeted with friendly service and a smile. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc served with a personal carafe and to my surprise it came with some tasty garlic toast. Before I could pour another glass of wine from my carafe the bartender swooped in to pour it for me. That is the kind of service a lady likes! Another great thing about this cozy restaurant is that you can bring your own wine into the restaurant for a nominal cork fee. We had the Parrillada de Carnes which was combination of grilled meats that was tender, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Every bite seemed to melt in my mouth. The asparagus were thick stalks also cooked with a slight crisp on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside and also seasoned just right. The prices are on the pricier side but they use Waygu beef which is Supreme Japanese beef and well worth it! It was a a meal that left me more than satisfied and I will visit again! read more

In a town that knows steak, this one really stands out. The huge Argentinian grills are visible, where logs are burned to hot coals and make magical meat. The empanada appetizer is the best ever. This restaurant was the first establishment where I had Argentine steak and empanadas in DFW. By far the best experience in Dallas for Argentine cuisine, and they have a great selection of wines to pair as well. My first time coming here, my server Robert, went above and beyond, and made me feel at home. The manager even made me a mate for my birthday, even though it wasn't offered on the menu. The ambiance is carried by the smell of the char wood grill and very nice decor with relaxing music, it definitely is a place to enjoy your food slowly. I recommend the ojo de bife, corte especial 348, with chimichurri sauce on the side, all paired with an El Enemigo Malbec. The empanadas are also a great option for appetizers. My coworkers and I went to the lovely and vibrant Corrientes 348 Argentinian Steakhouse for lunch at 11:30am on a Wednesday. We made reservations, but it appeared that they were unnecessary since we were the only party for a while. The customer service at Corrientes was impeccable. We mentioned to the servers that we were on a time crunch, so they did their best to accommodate our timeline. I knew they were working fast, but I appreciated that the quality of food wasn't compromised as a result. Additionally, our friendly wait staff was on top of everything. The cuisine was new to all of us, so we asked for recommendations from our waiters. We decided to do everything family style, and we basically ordered everything that was suggested. We got a salmon appetizer, an empanada sampler, a steak platter with different cuts, grilled vegetables, and polenta fries. The salmon appetizer was quite unique. It consisted of baked salmon pieces on a plantain chip. The plantain chip was crispy, and the salmon was flaky and moist. They had their own light tarter sauce to go with the salmon, which was new to me. I can't remember what the other flavors were for the empanadas since I only tried the leek one. It was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. I loved their polenta fries. They had the perfect crunchy outer texture and soft inside. I liked the dusting of parmesan on the fries. Showed up shortly before closing as I had a long day in the office. Got to watch the 2nd half of the football game over a cold Dallas Blonde from Deep Ellis Brewing Co. Good flavor and body on that brew let me tell you. Had the Salmon Parillera with Lugumbres a La Parilla. The Salmon is grilled on a bed of onions and the Legumbres comes with red bell peppers, asparagus, carrot, egg plant, and zucchini. If there is something i would improve on is having the carrot be a littler softer but that is just my preference. For desert a hand made Flan with blueberries on the side. Wow! What an amazing find to celebrate my 23d wedding anniversary. I saw this place in an article with the 21 best dallas downtown restaurants and then I looked it up here on yelp and the reviews were on point! We had the boneless beef ribs as an appetizer with one empanada. The beef was so delicious. So tender and flavorful. The empanada was like a latin egg roll: soooo good!! My husband is a big meat eater so he wanted to order the 24 oz rib eye. I wanted to try the grilled the potatoes. Wow! The steak was perfect. Perfectly cooked and the flavor was amazing. The best steak I've had in any restaurant. Plus they treated us to some desserts for our anniversary. We chose flan and it was so creamy and not overly sweet. We loved it. Came here while in town on business and wow, I was blown away. We had a group of 5 so we ordered the $180 Parrillada de Carnes platter of meats (comes with ribeye, NY strip, and top and bottom sirloin). We also ordered a variety of grilled vegetables, empanadas, and some potatoes. Between the 5 of us, we finished everything, but we wouldn't have had a chance of accomplishing that without 2 of us who always eat a ton (yep, of course I was one of those 2). The meats were all so tender and perfectly cooked. We asked for something between medium and medium-rare and they nailed it. My personal fave was the ribeye, but after a few pieces I was just grabbing whichever one I saw first because it was so good. The veggies were great too (and a must, to try and avoid the meat sweats). Something about grilled onions and steak just gets me every time. The empanadas were fantastic too, and if the meat wasn't so good I might have been disappointed we didn't get more of them. Did I mention the meat was good? I just got a beer for a drink but a few others got Caipirinhas, which they all agreed had way too much sugar and almost tasted cough syrup-y. I thought about getting one as it sounded good on the menu but was glad I didn't once they shared this. We had a birthday in the group as well, and they gave him a complementary slice of cake with a candle (and a song). Overall, I really enjoyed my time at this place and I'd happily go back. The reviews made me come and I can't say I was disappointed with the food but as it was my birthday, I didn't leave in a celebratory mood. When I walked in the door and the place is beautiful where you can see them cooking your steaks however I was slightly turned off as I was greeted with "do you have reservations" which I did and told her that I was meeting friends one who was already there. I turned and quickly found my friend and made my way to the table as we were still waiting on a few more folks. In the meantime the waiter started us off with some bread and took my drink order. Once everyone arrived we placed food orders from appetizers to entrees and enjoyed the conversation. When the entree came out, my friend made a comment that there was lots of blood on her plate and she had requested her steak well done, I had not gotten a chance to cut into my steak which was . . . Well done, so basically they got our plates mixed up. So when the waiter came back I told him this and he just smiled and I had to tell him I don't want a well done steak, so he took the plate. At this point my friends steak has been brought back and everyone is eating, except me. He brings me the steak back and once again it's well done. At this point he says let me get the manager and I'm fine with this. The manager asks what's wrong and I explain I've been given a well done steak twice and at this point everyone was done eating and I was done. He REFUSED to accept that I didn't want them to remake it again and he took my plate and left to remake my meal. When my steak was brought back it was cooked perfectly and was delicious, he even brought some fresh sides, however I was the ONLY person eating at the table which wasn't fun for me. The manager also brought over a complementary dessert. I will say I am not well versed in Argentinian food however the potatoes that we got were DRY smashed potatoes and I can't say I would ever order them again. I had high expectations for Corrientes 348, but unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. First off, the service was incredibly slow. It took forever just to get our food to arrive. When it finally did, the steak was overcooked, dry, and they completely burned the steak--far from the quality you'd expect at a supposedly high-end steakhouse. The sides were mediocre at best, and for the price, I expected much better portions and flavors. To make matters worse, we called the staff multiple times to address our concerns, but they seemed uninterested and barely checked our table the entire evening. It felt like we were an afterthought rather than valued guests. We called the manager twice 3 different people showed up and didn't help ... when we paid and left we were brought in saying we can get our issues addressed and my wife didn't wanted to come in but the guy insisted therefore we went in and got the real general manager and all we got is insult and harassment that 'you want your money back' !! seriously I already paid and was about to leave ! Overall, the experience did not justify the outrageous prices. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Argentinian steakhouse experience. When he finally placed his order for Tres Leches, he was told it wasn't available--something that should've been communicated much earlier. If I spend $300 for two people, I expect the service to be seamless, attentive, and well-coordinated. Why 4 stars? Because it's not a bad option when hosting an event. --- --- --- My role at my company is to host events, which I am no stranger to. But I am a stranger to hosting events that happen in a city I do not live in. What this means is that I do not physically see the venue until the night of the event, which prevents me from doing any sort of formal walk-through. When I hosted an event at Corrientes recently, I immediately noticed a couple of issues with the layout of the space that would have come up in a walk-through if I had the opportunity to have one. This is not the fault of Corrientes, but more of just a circumstance that led to a couple of issues. But one big issue that I wish I would have been told ahead of time is that the audio from the microphone was not very loud at all. We had a presentation as a part of our event and our speakers were very drowned out by the noise of people talking in the restaurant. This is a very specific thing that 99% of people reading Corrientes reviews will not care about, but if you are thinking of hosting an event where you need a mic, keep in mind that the event better be small enough to fit into the room with the projector screen. If they need to overflow into the adjoining room, the noise levels are going to be too strong. The food itself for the event was good, not great. I think the same can be said for our dinner our team had after the event was over. I did very much appreciate the team quickly setting up a table for 12 at about 9pm on a Wednesday, however. And I will also say that the service was top notch for our group of 120. So if you don't need to utilize audio here, this is a pretty solid option for a large event venue! read more
