So Cortina's is 5 minutes from my office, but I've probably gone there 4 times. The food is delicious. The outdoor patio is nice. The service is attentive and efficient. The only problem is...it's always packed!!! And they're open only for a few hours a day. Today I decided to do takeout. I ordered and paid online from the restaurant and I got a text with the time my order was going to be ready. I parked in their private lot and found my order ready to go on a shelf to the right of the front door. The cashier came out from behind the counter (without me even asking) to get me the bag of jalapeño chips that I ordered (which was very nice since the place was packed and the chips were on the far wall). The sandwiches are huge! I got a 6" tuna and my husband got the 10" Cortina's Special. Both were loaded! I had to eat mine open faced and I could only eat half! Unfortunately, the whole wheat roll was delicious, but the tuna was a little too much on the sweet side (I have a similar complaint with the tuna at Board & Brew). If you're in the mood for a good tuna salad sandwich, I suggest Jersey Mikes. If you're in the mood for any other kind of sandwich and don't mind waiting, go to Cortina's!

Been to this location twice now, and it's been amazing every time! The food is made fresh to order, and my go-to sandwich is the "Cortina's Special" absolutely delicious. At $10, I think it's a decent price. The other sandwiches in the picture were also amazing! It's definitely a popular spot and can get busy, but thankfully they have plenty of parking available.

This place doesn't need the shoutouts or advertisement - both locations are great, and do well without but I'm still going to leave a review because for 10+ yrs, we have been enjoying their food/sandwiches! I have to start with their cannolis: one of the best I've had! Crunchy, enough filling. I like both but my favorite is the chocolate one. You guys know how big and depending on what you get, how filled the sandwiches are! It doesn't matter which one you get, they are just the best!!! Even after their bread changed (about 6 yrs ago or so). Their salads are big! Their lasagna and spaghetti are okay/good - I guess I just prefer their sandwiches. The service can vary, it is a fast pace place, you walk in, order, pay and wait for your food! You will get a hi and most of the time, that's it...like I said, it's a very busy place! As far as the ambiance, music playing, outside seating, inside too but it's always packed, for the little hours they are open, always busy, busy! You now place orders online (vs over the phone like before), and you can even have them delivered through a third party.

Went for a team luncheon. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The sandwich portions were great. The reason for my 3 stars is that I ordered a sandwich with no cheese, due to being allergic to cheese I specifically told them. However, they gave me a sandwich with cheese in it. The server who brought it out said that it was no cheese. They should have been more aware of that. They did remake my sandwich pretty quickly. Other than that, my remade sandwich was great!

My mom found this place through a coworker who is a regular. She brought Cortina sandwiches for a department lunch one day and that's how the good news spread. Cortina's has become my favorite sandwich shop. My mom usually drops by there once a week to pick up lunch for the family. My step dad loves the roast beef dip, my brother go to is the philly cheesesteak and my mom's favorite is the Cortina Special. For me I've had the Fireball, pastrami, philly cheesesteak, Rocky Balboa, Meatball, Sausage and peppers, Cortina special all of them delicious but the Philly cheesesteak is my favorite. I have yet tried their pasta. Maybe someday I will. Overall service is good but they do get busy because of their limited business hours. Best bet is to place an order online through their app. Can't wait for my next experience.

Great sandwich. I order the pastrami's on their standard bread. It was really good. Bread was fresh. Meat was super tender. I compare any pastrami to Katz in NYC. That is top cream of the crop when it comes to pastrami. This was a solid sandwich. The place is quite small and it was hot outside. There were no tables available inside so outside we went. By the time we were done it was a bit too hot to eat outside.

I'm surprised I've never seen this place before, but it is in an industrial area. They are only open weekdays for lunch. I ordered the Cortina's special sandwich which is basically an Italian. I also had spaghetti and meatballs. I was surprised with the sandwich. Most places skimp and give you mostly bread. The sandwichis here are loaded and very good. The spaghetti and meatballs was also very good. The meatballs were moist. Some places they are dry. You also get garlic bread. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Sodas are from Stubborn, meats and cheeses are Boarshead. I feel you get your money's worth here. To bad they aren't open evenings and weekends.

10 inch 10" Rocky Balboa Sandwich soooooo good

Just like the Anaheim location (which I love), this place has amazing food and great service. Today he had a friend ordered the 10" Rocky Balboa and the cheesesteak sandwiches (We both take a half of each so we have some variety). As always, the Rocky Balboa is the champion (pun intended), you just can't beat the flavor. The cheesesteak was also excellent. Not only are the sandwich ingredients amazing, but the bread is just to die for. So good! I wore my Smiths band shirt today. Imagine while we're eating three Smith songs came on in the restaurant. Nice touch! This is one of my favorite places to eat in the OC and I highly recommend it.

Great veggie sandwich and All American sandwich! The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is nice, and our food came out quickly. They were super busy, with lots of people waiting for to-go orders, but everything still moved efficiently. I would definitely come back!

Ambiance: only open til 3 so perfect lunch spot with an outdoor patio (mix of high tops and regular tables) Service: quick and easy after you order, they give you a number and they'll bring it out to you Food: delicious. We got the rocky balboa (pork and broccoli rabe) and meatball sandwich. The rocky balboa comes with Au jus and the bread soaked it up so well, still crunchy and juicy inside

I absolutely love Cortina's! They have one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My favorite sandwich is the Cortina's special. They provide great and friendly service. There is plenty of seating at this location and it's always clean. I tried their salad caprese which was very fresh but I personally prefer their caprese sandwich which is also top notch. I recommend popping in whenever you get a chance.

6 inch Cortina special 8/10 $10.99. A little on the drier end but such a filling sand which. The bread was nice and soft with a crispy outer shell. Generous meat and cheese portions that paired with the banana peppers. I wish they added a little bit more dressing. Went in around 12:30pm on a Thursday and they were super busy but they got our order out quick. Definitely worth the price for the amount u get, such a steal !

The tomatoes were hearty and cut a perfect thickness. Could have used more balsamic for me, but my husband liked it fine. Chef special: Swordfish picatta with mashed potatoes, vegetables & tiny salad - 4/5 This was good. The picatta sauce was delicious and the fish cooked perfectly. I would have liked a mix of different vegetables. Lasagna - 5/5 - this was my favorite. It was cheesy, served very hot, the noodles were not mushy. Just deliciousness on a plate. The service at the bar was outstanding. Our server was attentive and offered us as much bread as we wanted. He went over the menu and offered suggestions. We only drank water and the cup was always full. He was great! Seating - there was plenty of seating, so was not sure why we were only offered a choice of 2 tables both basically on top of the party next to you. I feel they can do better in that department. There was seating outside, which was also offered, but it was way too hot and humid that day to dine al fresco. We ending up sitting at the bar. Forced tipping: They add a "kitchen appreciation" fee to your bill, which I did not care for. I feel this is tacky, but if they are doing this, it should be posted somewhere that they are, feels sneaky otherwise. The food was very good & I will likely be back to try other dishes.

My husband and I came across the restaurant on a Saturday at 430pm. We had our baby stroller and have been mindful on avoiding dinner rushes while going to restaurants, just in case. The Host asked us if we were a party of "3 and a half" which we laughed and said yes. We waited outside where there is patio seating and only a couple of tables taken. Inside, there were people at the bar and maybe one table occupied. The rest were open. I could see through the windows that the staff made a big deal about the stroller, they were walking around making hand motions as to where the stroller would "fit" mind you we've been to plenty of restaurants where this has NEVER been an issue. They came out to speak to us twice stating they were looking for a spot. I told my husband we should just eat elsewhere but he insisted on waiting. We did not want to sit outside due to it being hot. The host finally returned and said that they have reservations and can seat us at a table but we have an hour limit due to the reservation. My husband obliged b/c he was hungry, and I was annoyed. We got seated in the back which is fine by the big display of wine and our stroller replaced a chair. Which idk why that wasn't suggested or thought of in the first place. Our server was very nice but the other staff just kept side eyeing us. Dinner was rushed, it was tasty yet over priced. Our baby slept the entire time, No fuss thankfully. What were they to do if they had someone in a wheel chair and couldn't accommodate space? I know the comparison is far fetched compared to a stroller however it was the first time I ever encountered this. Since someone else made a comment about them not being seated due to a stroller, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant if you have small children as it seems it's not welcomed. Again, we were mindful and have been going to dinner before 5pm.

They just recently got their liquor license so they just started with the cocktails. For our appetizer we went with the carpaccio, it was absolutely delicious. The lemony sauce was so good and it is topped with some arugula and served with some toast. I would order this again. For our entree I ordered the Frutti d mare and my husband ordered the cannelloni Romano. The cannelloni Romano are 3 crepes stuffed with chicken , spinach and cheese and topped with more cheese and a red past sauce. My husband enjoyed them very much. We have actually never seen this served in another Italian restaurant before. My Frutti d Mar was also very delicious, it had scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari.Served with some linguine in a delicious red broth. So delicious. Now I can understand why this place has been around this long. I heard that the same chef has been making those dishes for 36 years or maybe more. That's a great consistency to have. We will definitely be back to try some more delicious food.

I think I was a little hesitant because in my head I was thinking how good could possibly really be? In my head spaghetti/pasta is something I can make it home and almost thought it a waste of money to go out of my way to go out specifically to eat this dish. I ordered the Arrabiata pasta with the sausage. I'll admit I was a little thrown off by added cost of each tolling and also added cost of the Arrabiata sauce and I also did wait until a fair amount before the food was ready for takeout. But the pasta really blew me away. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted. I would definitely come back and I actually wanna bring my dad who loves spicy pasta like this. It was really that good. I can't think of another place that has this level of pasta let alone this price. The only negative I would say in regards to one of the workers. The cashier was manned by wonderful woman who did every and all tasks from taking the orders to putting food items in the oven to answering the phone I'm probably much more than that. I don't know. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time.
