Food (5/5 stars): Cosmos Burgers is a new addition at the Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad! Each of their gourmet burgers comes with two patties and two slices of cheese, and those patties are grilled to perfection. I loved the Spicy Jam Burger because it had a nice balance of heat and sweetness. I'm looking forward to trying their other burgers and chicken sandwiches! Food was alright. Nothing wrong with it, but I don't see myself going back. I'd give 3.5 stars if it was an option cuz I didn't have any problems. The bbq burger had plenty of bacon and onion rings, but the bacon was precooked and smelled and tasted the same as jack in the box bacon. Truffle fries were pretty tasty but almost overwhelming with truffle flavor and had the shredded Parmesan that just falls off and gets left behind in the bowl unless you want to look like an absolute savage and shovel it all in your mouth. Employees were friendly and helpful. Food hall is a pretty cool spot. Even some family friendly games to spend time at. read more

I went to Cosmo Burger, but did not get burgers. Instead I ordered instead I ordered chicken tenders and truffle fries. Both were incredibly delicious. However, they did not give me the correct chicken tenders, I ordered truffle tenders along with truffle fries and only got the fries. The chicken tenders were honey, chicken tenders, and very delicious so I wasn't too disappointed. The place looks like a good joint. There are other foods in the food court and it's a good place so you can get a mixing match of different culinary experiences, so I highly recommend Cosmo Burger and the next time I go back I'm gonna try one of the burgers. read more

So glad we decided we wanted burgers that day because Cosmos delivered! We tried the Hot Chicks sandwich, the Basic burger, and the Frings. The sandwich and burger were amazing, juicy, and generous (especially the hot chicks). The Frings were our least favorite since it lacked some seasoning but we didn't need them since the burgers were so doling and delicious. The servers were so patient with us as we took our time to order. They were so friendly and created a fun and inviting atmosphere that welcomed us with the smell of hot oil. Wife asked me what I wanted to eat for lunch for Father's Day, and I told her I wanted to eat a good burger. I suggested Shake Shack, but she didn't feel like driving down to La Costa. So, we looked up burgers closer to where we live in Carlsbad and decided to try Cosmos for the 1st time. We both got their Cosmos burger which is essentially a cheeseburger and decided to share a Monkey Fries. Our 3 girls each got the kids' menu cheeseburger and fries. Should've gone to Shake Shack or at least In N Out, which is right across the freeway. The burgers were disappointing and lacked flavor. Even my kids who never complain when they get a chance to eat a burger were disappointed. The only highlight was the monkey fries. Maybe I will give this place another shot and try a different burger, but their Cosmos burgers were underwhelming to say the least and it was a bummer especially on Father's Day when all a guy wanted was a tasty burger. read more

Our family is in town for two weeks on a little vacation type trip. We have been here twice in the first few days. The food is so delicious. We have had the bbq burger, cosmo fries, the chicks (regular chicken tenders), hot dog, and all have been so good. We definitely recommend trying this place if you stop in at the windmill food hall. Easily one of the best burgers in north county. Beef itself was seasoned right, slightly crispy, and full of deep steak flavor. I hate to dump on a small business but $30 for a fast food burger (that was so over done that the edges of the beef were crunchy like potato chips) a side and two cokes is a bit much. The patties need to be thicker, cooked way less and the prices need to be looked at. But hey, California's gonna California I guess. I'd like to see them succeed and if I see some positive reviews where some changes have been made I'd definitely give them a second chance. read more

Both my wife's and my burgers had way way too much ketchup on them. So much that the patties were slipping out of the buns when we would pick them up. It was gross, the taste of the ketchup way too overwhelming. I had to throw out the food. We had been excited to try this place and it was such a disappointment. The apple coleslaw was fresh, crisp, and refreshing, and the Bburing chips were another winner. Even the complimentary pickled radish was excellent and paired beautifully with the fried chicken. There are certainly other nearby restaurants selling fried chicken, but for me, BHC Chicken is the clear winner. I am SO glad I discovered this place. We were first-time customers who live nearby and decided to give this place a try. We placed an…read moreonline order and picked it up. Our order included a combo and an $8 cheesecake. When we got home, we realized the cheesecake was missing. We immediately tried calling the restaurant, but no one answered since they were close to closing. The next day, we called to explain what happened and asked if they could either refund the $8 or simply provide the cheesecake that we had already paid for. Instead of trying to help, the woman who answered was rude and asked why we didn't call the night before. We explained that we did try, but no one answered. She still refused to offer a refund or provide the missing item. When we asked to speak with a manager, she told us there isn't a manager. Mistakes happen, and forgetting an item isn't the real issue. The disappointing part was the complete lack of customer service or willingness to make it right. For an $8 item that was never provided, a simple refund or replacement would have gone a long way. The food itself was average, but the customer service was enough that we won't be returning. There are plenty of other places nearby that value their customers and stand behind their orders. Based on our experience, we can't recommend this restaurant. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to correct a simple mistake left a very poor impression, and the staff could benefit from better customer service training.

The sandwich wrapper is merely deli paper, meaning less trash, and eating chicken is more earth-friendly than beef, so that's a win-win-win for Winnie. The sandwich is made to order and comes with lettuce and tomato. I do not recommend getting the fries, because for $4, you get an unsatisfying small amount in a paper bag that was sitting under the heat lamp. The size of the sandwich is OK. I haven't had the joint-that-closes-on-Sundays in years but I think the size is a little bit smaller than that. Definitely a great food addition to Legoland.

This is a spacious location. They also have outside seating. I did want to make a note that there is no drive-through. Next-door to In-N-Out there is a very very busy drive-through. I believe this is why they are not able to have a drive-through at this Chick-fil-A location. It would just be too much and there would be too many people if there were two drive-through's. Anyway, even if there is no drive-through here it is a very busy and very efficient location. We ordered two Cobb salads and a Chick-fil-A sandwich meal. I also ordered an ice cream cone. Our food was delivered to our table in about 10 minutes and it was made perfectly. Everything tasted well. Overall, I will come back to this location because the customer service is very good.

If you compare this place with Tanner's Prime, it's not worth your money. You can get a double at Tanner's prime and fries for similar money and it's leagues better. I still enjoyed it, but personally, I actually preferred the balance of the single patty and will probably go back to that next time. The Tallow Fries were also great, with a really flavorful, crispy texture.
