We used Cosmos Catering for our wedding in Chatham in June. They were very easy to work with and extremely accommodating. We had several guests with food allergies and Cosmos made sure they accommodated everyone. They took the allergies very seriously and ensured us there would be no cross-contamination issues while preparing the food. Tracey from Cosmos was awesome. She managed all of the food while also acting as a sort-of wedding coordinator. She made sure my husband and I got our own plates of food right away and was always checking in to see if we needed a refresher on our drinks. We had an outdoor wedding with a tent. It was a bit windy during the reception and as my husband went to start putting up the side-walls, Tracey jumped in and offered to have her team put all of the walls up. They absolutely went above and beyond the role of a caterer. If you're looking for great food and great service in the Cape I would definitely recommend Cosmos.

    Simply Catered By Bethany

    Simply Catered By Bethany

I hired Simply Catered by Bethany (now Vista & Vows) for my September 2024 wedding…read more Bethany failed to appear at the event and provided no prior communication about her absence. Instead, she sent a team of individuals. None of whom I had previously been introduced to or discussed plans with. This unannounced substitution created significant confusion and disruption - the team sent arrived late, dinner ran late. The team was not provided the information Bethany and I had discussed. This lead to my husband and i being fed last for appetizer - and me having to request being fed 1st for dinner. Because they ran late, my vendors did not get a chance to eat. I had to leave my OWN wedding on more than one occasion to make sure that they were all set. After the fact, Bethany disclosed that she had not attended due to being ill with COVID-19. She didn't call me to inform me because she "didn't want to stress me out" (no call no show is less stressful and more professional, right?) she had informed me given the recent illness - it caused a flair up of cellulitis. Despite this, she admitted to having prepared food for the event while actively sick with both conditions, which raised serious health and safety concerns. Following these issues, Bethany agreed in writing to reimburse me for failure to provide the services as promised. Her former CPA, Timothy Gates, confirmed acknowledgment of this reimbursement agreement on December 10, 2024. Shortly after.. crickets. Weeks had gone by and I was told she "fired Timothy for lack of providing information". Her new CPA, Abigail, also confirmed the obligation for reimbursement on April 1, 2025. However, despite these confirmations, I have not received any payment to date as she has allegedly claimed bankruptcy. Bethany offers a "paid in full discount" which I had taken advantage off. On our call with my parents 2 weeks prior to the wedding. Our numbers had significantly changed from what we paid for. We initially paid for 120 and had a final number of 89. We were told she would reimburse us for the difference. 1 year later and we haven't seen reimbursement for the overpayment which in total was $1,239 of an overpayment. I cannot scream this from the rooftops enough. NEVER in a million years hire this lady. She will cause so much unnecessary stress, never reimburse.

We went with Simply Catering by Bethany or Vistas and Vows, as named now for our renewal of vows…read moresummer of 2025. It was basically our "wedding" as we eloped at town hall when I was pregnant with our 1st kiddo. We had a ceremony, read vows and exchanged rings for the first time. It was always a plan for us that we would have a party celebrating our marriage at some point when "life slowed down" - eh five kids later and ten years of marriage we decided to do it. I decided to go with this catering company after looking at the menu. Lots of great food options. And most importantly to me, lots of awesome sounding sweet treats. In May 2025 - we went to a tasting and it was awful. So bad, that I left and almost wanted to cry. It felt chaotic, the food wasn't great and honestly my stomach kind of hurt. Very disappointed. After the tasting, some people that had been at the tasting emailed. I was surprised how they even got my email address. Anyways! They wanted to discuss how I felt about the food and just general vibe of the company. I still had hope, it had been at her house, things hadn't gone as planned. I get it - things happen. I discussed this with the owner and she even came to our house, which is a long trip. And did a tasting for us of the items we had wanted for our event. That's just incredible. It was much appreciated and gave us our confidence back about them catering our event. We were close to the event at this point and which how flakey and confusing the communication was at this point. The fact that they were willing to make the trek and produce delicious food. This was so Was really reassuring. We even had another phone call. Discussing what were our final food and dessert decisions. We discussed the layout and plan for the event. And asked what the catering company needed on our end, e.g. tables, tented space, running water. We had asked this before because we needed to confirm rentals with rental company, so we asked Bethany at least twice - what do you require from us. She told us - nothing! We bring everything we need, even for bad weather. Okay. We confirmed family style service and microplace settings for our event would be provided. We were told they would show up at 1100, two hours prior to our ceremony to begin getting appetizers ready. Anyways, I'm getting dressed and ready for the ceremony, it's probably 1200 and nothing. Haven't heard from them, nothing. So, I call Bethany to inquire and I start hearing from her about this and that. The communication is stressful and just inconsistent and often inconsiderate. A quick text from her, like hey running late or something would have been appreciated. Instead of what I have received from them from the beginning, a whole lot of excuses, terrible communication and a lot of unnecessary stress. We started looking at the weather as we got closer to the day of our event and decided to also opt for a larger tent as it was going to rain and this was an outdoor event. We had two very large tents - one with the arch for the ceremony and the other for the dance floor, game tables and dining. We were told they would not need any tables, tented space, prep space, running water or anything. Well, first thing, they show up, over two hours late, don't have their own tented area, don't have our place settings and have no idea about our event or anything. I have never spoken to these members of the team and they were not well staffed, informed or prepared at all. People were hungry, they had to take up precious tented space because they did not have what we were told. Remember it's raining! We needed all the space. We could have prepared. Created space in the second tent for them or something. Again, they are disorganized and don't communicate well. They didn't bring the microplace settings we paid for. Thank goodness, I brought some - because well - she really is inconsistent so I planned that perhaps they wouldn't bring even things or something. I have never spoken to these members of the team and they were not well staffed, informed An "event guide" that we went over with Bethany that really wasn't updated after our last discussion was used. This truly was a mistake on our end. We had thoroughly discussed everything with Bethany and our menu choices and serving and setting plans. I thought what we paid for was going to be there, even if not written out thing by thing on the event guide. So that was an error on our end. We had discussed our wishes and really it wasn't anything crazy. Eight tables with them bringing microplace settings - family style. Appetizers after the ceremony. Dessert table with two cakes. Asked if they would assist with pouring champagne and juice for toast - they stated no problem. Asked if kids could have chicken and fries. Sure no problem. Boom. What is the purpose of having a conversation to discuss the plan for your event, if they aren't assisting with your event, aren't going to discuss your wishes or the plan with

Neither of us really knew what a personal chef service looked like. We love cooking but we didn't/don't have time during the week to cook. We hoped we'd get more vegetables into our diet at a minimum. That not eating out would mean less of the white devils (sugar, salt). I reached out to The Skinny Beet in a frenetic and desperate state last December. Since they've entered our lives the sun is shining, the clouds have parted and Mondays are happy (re: they are miracle workers). We have been a weekly client with The Skinny Beet for almost 3 months now. At the end of 1 month we reached out to them and shared a list of each positive benefit directly or indirectly related to hiring them as personal chefs. I would like to share this list with you (reader of my review): 1. My husband and I spend more time together. 2. We portion control better. 3. We work out more (have time to work out). 4. We feel better: less groggy, less irritable, more energy. 5. The food they make tastes flavorful, wholesome and satisfying. We get to eat our favorite cuisines with less of the sugar/salt and more grain/vegetable variety than what we know how to cook. 6. We waste less. 7. The brain space we wasted thinking about what to eat, what to cook, when to go pick things up, crap-I-forgot-an-ingredient --- Poof! Gone. Which, working full time while part time grad school, any and all brain space I can allocate to my work is priceless for me. From Week One: Flexibility with schedule and menu planning was made easy for us - We come home and our kitchen tools and pans lovingly (and somewhat expensively) acquired over time are clean - There are delicious dishes made with quality ingredients ready for devouring in the fridge. We are so grateful for the difference The Skinny Beet has made in our quality of life. Seriously, I wasn't kidding: Miracle Workers.

Well in just a couple hours we were able to cover SO much ground. From making a delicious salsa and homemade chips, to a steak and a chicken, even farro with caramelized onions. Not only did I learn tons of REALLY helpful skills that I've already been implementing, but I had delicious food that lasted me for a handful of meals THAT I HELPED MAKE! They brought all their own ingredients and left my kitchen completely spotless (possibly cleaner than how they found it) I am so thankful to these two and I look forward to our next lessons.
