I stopped by the service department while I was out of town and explained that I was having very unusual issues with diagnostics on the alternator and battery codes with my 2021 GMC SUV. I explained that I had purchased an extended warranty. The service clerk said that they needed to see the warranty. I had a copy of it somewhere in a stack of papers but it would take a while to sort out. So the clerk suggested that I speak with someone inside to see if they could get a copy from "my home team". I did not realize that warranties are specific to dealerships. Anyway, the woman I was advised to speak with said she didn't know why I was referred to her, because there was nothing she could do. As I was leaving - to go purchase a battery from somewhere else (that was covered by warranty - decided I'd just deal with invoice later) I was stopped and greeted by a sales floor employee who had an incredible rose tattoo half sleeve and I was astonished at his willingness to say hello. After a lot of my own investigation I discovered that while there were issues with the diagnostic codes - I had to also just get a tune up. I guess putting a lot of miles on my vehicle will do that, and I just hadn't thought of that. Neither did several service clerks, so I guess I don't feel so silly. As always, I keep business cards of everyone I interact with, and every receipt from service appointments. Always do that! read more

Took my 2021 truck for repair of the squeaking brake issue along with several trim panels loosening from the four doors. Got a call from the service department today and he stated it looks like someone has been in the panels as there are screws loose and fasteners missing. No modifications have been done to the vehicle therefore there's no reason these were ever touched. He states to take it to Tustin GMC where i bought it from. I asked him if he could call GM and he stated that he could not because of everyone's favorite excuse of Covid and the inability to make a stupid phone call. I'll never take my vehicle there for service or let alone buy from them if they can't make a call for a customer. Another worthless dealership. read more

To start I would leave a lower score if possible. The lone star would be that of the sales associate I worked with. Emily is a new employee to this dealer and worked very hard on a deal for me. I live in Northern California and found a beautiful truck for a good price. I committed to purchase the vehicle, sent a photo of my cashier's check and scheduled an apt to finalize the deal. I asked to do all the paperwork online and was told that was not possible. So, I explained I was going to fly down which was 5 days later based on prices of flights. So, heres the deal...... I was called by my sales associate and told the truck was sold!!! I was astonished and asked how that can happen as we agreed on the deal, communicated the day I would arrive, and booked an apt to sign all paperwork. This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. Not only did I lose the truck I had a deal on I'm also out the cost of a flight. This review is for the sales team and not the service crew. I leased a car from these guys a few years ago and I had a great experience with that sales team. Now my lease is up and I decided to purchase the car I was leasing. I go to the dealer to make this transaction and they wanted to charge me $995 for a inspection. I found it odd because GM was offering courtesy inspection the month before but I figured I was trading the car in for another or I'm buying this out so I never got an inspection. So I refuse to pay the $995 and left after talking with "Ray the manager". I call GM financial to question this charge and they thought it was odd they are trying to charge me $995 for a free service plus they said if I'm buying the car an inspection not even needed! GM financial told me to print a few documents off my account and I went to my credit union and did the transaction in 30 minutes. I would never buy any vehicle from this crew lead by Ray if that's his real name. read more

Unethical dealer, misrepresented vehicle, did not keep promises and tries to pad deals with dealer add-ons. The epitome of a bad car dealer. Went to purchase a used truck from them, agreed on a price over the phone, was told they would deliver the vehicle to us. First quote comes to us and its padded with glass etching and other items not even on the truck. Then after being forced to come to the dealer the truck wasn't ready and had damages and missing features from the listing. Finally when trying to buy the car forced to wait 1.5 hours for the finance guy. Even after all that they wouldn't pay the $25 uber fare for us coming to the dealer a 2nd time. I watched as he stepped away from the bench to tell a joke at a customer expense, laughing with his associates. My beliefs is he is excellent at selling services you may or may not need, unless you have an actual technical problem. If you ask him a specific technical question reference the service he is trying to sell, you will quickly determine he has no idea what he's talking about. Hey Paul, what does PCV mean again? Reggie and Shaun were super helpful when it came down to me buying a new car.. I have bad credit so most of the dealerships didn't really wanna work with me or were bullshitting. Until I met Reggie. He has been helping me from the start. And boy was I happy when I found out that he was able to get me approved. Not along approved for a 2015 Toyota Camry!!! It took a little time to discuss about the $$ with the bank and Shaun/Reggie. I went in yesterday to finalize my paperwork and I was able to get my car. At that time, I didn't have a insurance policy yet. Shaun told me I could do the paperworks then come back with my insurance policy card and I can take my baby home. DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION CONCERNS CADILLAC DEALER I am going to be candid (something already discussed with them). Unless you are a business man with a suit on I would take my money elsewhere. I have a good notion to file an official grievance. So I walked in to see a car after being pre-approved and I was ignored. Then the receptionist took my information after I went out to my car to get the name of the person I was in contact with. She was unable to pull anything up from her computer, not even with my name. I find this interested, considering the fact that I was approved via an application completed through their website. The lot is a MESS, barely a place to park your car even on a good day. There was a crane in front, so imagine a tight lot on topped off with that. Well bottom line is, after I located the name of the person I'd spoken originally was this very tall Hispanic man who identified as a manager (you won't miss him). I am going to spare mentioning his name. He was the same person I'd been communicating with over the phone from the start. He was called over then he rattled off a few words to me. Instead of assisting, he tells me he would have someone else to help. He walked me over to an empty desk with (nobody there) then he walked away. It wasn't like he tried to find the person who sat at that desk. So I just stood there looking around while 2 guys walked in with suits. He then ran over to and began rolling out real customer service to both men. I could hear the conversation, so it was not as if he were expecting to see them. That manager simply ignored me. It was not a concern that he watch me head to the door to walked out. He never said one word while facing the door watching me. I know I had 2 strikes when I walked through the door. None of my description fit the mold worthy of assistance, even after a pre-approval. Here is the final: After complaining to the GM, he offered $500 below window on the car I was looking at. Such a great deal, right? This was to make up for the issues. Well I would get a lower payment over $600 for 72-months was the offer. On top of everything that happened I guess he thought I was a fool too. TEAM COSTA MESA, don't dare try and defend the dealership. I tried to be conservative with this email. Poor poor poor customer service lousy place to take your car for it to be anything but damaged, and brought back with scuffs scratches, their answer to the issues they have no idea about is to take your brand new car apart and put it back together in worst condition several times. TERRIBLE customer service did I mention that? When they bring my car back after "fixing" it The pieces they took apart and cut are unevenly cut and put back together it's horrible I'm mortified this is the condition of my 50k dollar car. Then when you call them they don't even respond or I get some idiot excuse take it back to "fix" it again and it comes back with more uneven parts put back together, this is like a merry-go-round I've almost had the car a year and it's been at the service department of this dealership more than it's been in my garage. I have attempted to talk to the manager to no avail he doesn't care actually after speaking with him my cars been in worse condition upon return it's an absolute joke and I'm sick of the merry-go-round definitely not what you would expect from a Cadillac dealership or when you purchase a brand new car, I would've had better luck with a used car at least a used car has some explanation behind it, it's used. Then when they return the car yet AGAIN after it's supposedly detailed you can still see all the shavings from them taking things apart shaving pieces cutting them and putting it back together what an amazing detail when all the shavings from their "fixing" and detailing it are all over everything this after being told yet AGAIN the manager inspected it himself haha again what a JOKE. Now I just want them to purchase the car back from me and even that's like pulling teeth I can't even get that person to call me back when the representative I've been speaking tells more LIES telling me I'd be supposedly getting a call days ago. I have had nothing but issues from the moment I walked through the door to purchase my BRAND NEW car an sure you do get a loaner car while they attempted to "fix" the issue but they will return your BRAND NEW vehicle with more issues dings, scratches, poor workmanship etc. Extremely disappointing when you go to a Cadillac dealership you expect a certain standard that unfortunately has never been present in my experience with this lot. This dealership says a lot and follows through with l to nothing I've had nothing but problems from the start. Lesson learned, just because it says Cadillac doesn't mean you should expect good customer service, follow through, a manager who gives a , or one person who can do a job with some kind of integrity, a representative who can tell the truth or do what they say, allll that's definitely missing at the particular dealership. Misleading and disrespectful dealership. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with this dealership. They advertised a 2021 Escalator ESV online with a price that was over $15k lower than the actual price of the car. I called them to confirm the online price and they assured me it was correct. I took a half day off work, drove 1.5 hours to the dealership, test drove the car, had my trade in appraised, and was ready to buy the car. After almost 5 hours of waiting, they told me that they had made an error on the online pricing and they could not sell me the car at that price. They proposed a new price that was **even higher than the original sticker price in 2021**. They did not apologize or offer me any compensation for my time and inconvenience. They did not even try to negotiate a fair price with me. They just filled up my tank "to make up for it" and dismissed me. The manager who we dealt with was in a hurry to rush out the door and get home and didn't have the decency to even attempt to make a deal on the car. This was very rude and unacceptable. This dealership is not trustworthy and they do not value their customers at all. They use deceptive and unethical practices to attract customers and then try to charge them more than what they agreed to. They are price gouging on their vehicles, which is illegal and immoral. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. There are many other dealerships that are honest and courteous. Do not waste your time and money on this dealership. Unfortunately, I had the same experience as some of the other reviewers on the purchase of my 2017 Suburban Terrain last September. My salesman, Russell, was transparent, a great communicator and ethical. He put me in the car that fit my budget and circumstances, and I really appreciated his skill in doing so. Yet once the deal got to finance things took a different turn. I still purchased the vehicle, and I am still awaiting an explanation of a line item in the purchase contract. Win some and lose some. A definite upside is the Service Department. They contacted me for the routine oil change, and My Service Rep, Paul, was excellent. He spent as long as I needed explaining the car's maintenance and upkeep, and the nuances of a 4 cylinder. He followed up with a call a few days later to make sure all my questions had been answered. I have already referred friends to Suburban to look for a car, just had to tell them to hold the line with the finance department. Their finance department is great at getting you a contract within your payment range, but don't be so excited at being able to get the car that you take all the add-ons they put in the contract. And do not be in too much of a rush when you go, I was there for almost 4 hours! (but the free coffee and treats kinda made up for it) read more

I was not able to purchase a vehicle here. Came to look at an older Yukon. I just needed something to do small travels and basically leave in storage. To finance I was told they needed to run my credit. I really did not want to but had to so I can get an approved bank. It was late and everything was basically closed. So I was told that I would get a call the next day for an approval. I got an alert from my credit security alerts that my credit was hit 3 times-hard inquiries as well! I rushed to my account and blocked all further inquiries. By the time I got home, I had 9 more alerts that my credit was still being requested!? What the heck!? Try another day a bank can respond! Who in the world would authorize their credit report to get hit with 12 hard credit inquiries in a day! You may not care about my credit but I do! Do you know you can lose points on a credit report for these inquiries? They can also last up to 2 years on my report! Also, I never even got a call back about the vehicle. I wasn't offered help to explore a newer vehicle, after all those credit pulls! I was considering just going for it and getting something newer due to the financing situation. I had to leave this place with so many inquiries on my report and no car! I have good credit and it will take me a few months to repair anything that may affect me. I reported that to one credit bureau so far. Will need to follow up if anything else hits. read more

We recently bought a used Jaguar from Orange Coast Buick GMC Cadillac and found the experience to be a pleasant one. Many times when buying a new or used car you expect a terrible experience. Honestly, coming here we expected no less. But to our surprise every step of the process was painless, low pressure and easy. The salesmen Alan was very respectful of our time and seemed to want to make sure the entire experience was a good one. My father flew in from out of town and Alan even came and picked him up at the airport! Once the purchase was made he spent about an hour going over all the cars many features, setting up the navigation system to direct him home and pairing the phone to the car. This was truly world class service, something many dealerships promise but rarely deliver. If you are in the market for a new or used car give this dealership a try. Vic contacted us to verify the car was there and available before we made the hour trip to see it. Vic was there to greet us and had the car ready for our viewing, answered all our questions and before long, we were negotiating terms and looking for rebates. The contract portion went very smoothly with Leo who took all the time needed to explain the extended warranties and Maintenance program. I wanted to go home and wait there since this coronavirus thing was out-of-control again And had me picked up /with my car finished by noon! I went in on a recall for my power steering system Which was not working anyways they had to replace a part and got it done quickly thanks to Fred I wasn't waiting too long in the waiting area and since I live so close he made sure to get me home and picked up I can honestly say I did not think it was going to be that go that smooth. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a car from Costa Mesa GMC and make the same mistake I did. I went to Costa Mesa GMC after visiting their website online and finding the suv I wanted to purchase. I went here because it had a really good price compared to other car dealerships. The advertised price was $30,878. It had a $6,072 dealer discount. Which was a great deal. That was the reason for me choosing this dealer over others. When I arrived I was approached by Victor who is an amazing car salesman. I gave him the stock number of the vehicle I went in to purchase. He respected the advertised price that was online. When it was time to finance the vehicle Sammy the guy with the pencil was very rude and giving attitude. This was not the first time from me buying a new vehicle. Sammy said "if you don't add the warranties I can't sell you the car" this is illegal to make you purchase insurances that you don't want. That's why they say Optional. Something Sammy didn't offer me. I had no option on all the additional warranties. So where was my dealer discount. He added Vehicle Appearance Protected Sealant $1,894, Ally Auto Care $1,299 when he told me that you get free oil changes and tire rotation when he charged me for that, Theft Protection $1,495, Nitrofill membership $399 which is false advertisement because nitrofill tires have green caps by the way mines are black, ELO GPS $1,500. Not to mention I am a credit union member and told them I was going to finance through a credit union and guess what. He also financed me through a different company Ally which is a company that they work with and gave me a higher interest rate. If you want a good deal on a car and not get forced into buying warranties and a membership that you don't need don't buy a car from Costa Mesa Buick GMC Cadillac. I should have just walked out when he showed me all the extras that he was adding. Victor find yourself an honest dealership because you deserve better. read more

!!Beware of how they handle the car and damage!! Bought a used car here yesterday. Classic salesman stuff and loan officer gimmicks but nothing unheard of. Once the paperwork was signed they handed us ONE key not the standard two keys. Pretty much told us "sorry can't do nothing".... Okay I accepted the slap to the face cause we got a good deal. THEN THIS HAPPENED: (unacceptable) When they were washing the car after the paperwork was signed they damaged the car! HUGE dent on the rear fender and black scuffs all around it!!! The salesman tried to say it was there before but we did a full inspection before paperwork was signed (damage nowhere to be found on paperwork for current state of vehicle) ANd the black smudges would wipe right off showing they were brand new black paint transfers from something else !!!!!! These guys tried to put the blame on me but when I stood my ground they gave us a loaner and said they can "access the damage and if it's not to much $$ we will fix it and if it's to much $$ since you got a good deal we'll have to refund everything and you can return the Car" I did not waste 5 hours buying the car we wanted and negotiating to a good price to be told I can just start all over again if the damage they caused is to much. NO you dented and scraped my property (paperwork was signed) so you are responsible to fix it. Currently waiting to hear back about them fixing damages AND if they do the right thing and fix my car to the correct quality of which I bought it as I will adjust my review to only show the Inconvenience of this ordeal. read more
