Gone here the last couple of times I've needed to smog check. They're located really conveniently for me right on 17th St. in Costa Mesa and you never need to make an appointment. Just pop on in. Always super friendly, quick, and they have a nice little covered patio for you to wait at. I passed! And it was super easy. I stopped by around 10:30am on Thursday and there was 1 car in front of me. With that said, the whole process took 20 minutes max. Even though I was originally told they don't do tests after 5:30 pm (they close at 6) I got there at 5:50 and he still took care of me, and was just as friendly as if I was there in the middle of the day. I have very little free time to go get the smog test done when most places are actually open, so this really made my day. I was even happier once I found out my car passed, and I got the $20 discount other have previously mentioned. This place is the only place I will go for my smogs checks from now on! My fiance and I went there after work today, and even though we hit insane traffic & showed up 5 minutes before they closed, they were nice enough to still fit us in. I wasn't expecting my car to pass, as it's old and has almost 300,000 miles on it, but they made my day by telling me it did pass!!! The nice gentleman there advised us as to what our car currently needs to run better & to pass any future smog tests. He gave us personal recommendations to help keep our car in it's very best shape for the lowest price possible. A friendly person on the phone took my info. I went the next day and after 30 minutes and no hassles, I had my certificate transmitted to the DMV and I only had to pay $48 bucks!
