Fully loaded Raspberry Chipotle Salad with Mango salsa and dressing, extra guac and sour cream
Veronica C.

I'm shocked by all the negative reviews.. you must all be part of a group that is nearly impossible to please. I used to be a die hard chipotle girl.. I ordered from them easily 3x week while on the go on my way to work or after a long work day and I was pleased with them for a very long time but their prices just kept going up and up and they got more and more stingey with their portion sizes. I enjoyed my salads from them with the guac and honey chipotle vinaigrette until it became $20 for that salad with guacamole, barely any meat, wilting lettuce and no vinaigrette half the time. I know everywhere has become expensive, and I'm willing to pay a higher price for quality, but I just wasn't getting that same level of quality anymore, so I stopped going a year ago. I switched to Qdoba as they have a much more reasonable price, and guac is included for free, not 4 freakin' dollars on top of your entree's cost. They were decent for a while, and they've maintained their price, but their quality went far downhill as well. I had two especially bad experiences at the one in Nampa that led me to stop going there. I like Cafe Rio okay, but it's not somewhere I would frequent.. it's out of my way and can be hit or miss. Eventually, I decided to try Costa Vida, which is in a convenient enough location for me, and offers some unique options for toppings for your entrée like salsas you don't see at any of the similar chains. I've now been about 5 times, and the customer service, accuracy, and quality of my meal has been nothing short of excellent! I LOVE the Raspberry Chipotle chicken salad.. it's so tasty and is at least a couple of bucks less than Chipotle's salad, which I honestly don't miss anymore because Costa Vida's tastes way more fresh. Okay, sometimes I do miss the honey chipotle vinaigrette, but I've heard from multiple people now that they're charging for that now, too, even when you order a salad, which is such BS It's all good, though, cause the Raspberry Chipotle sauce satisfies my need for sweet and spicy flavor ... and they have a honey honey Habenero salsa as well that's very flavorful too. Anyways, if you've never been to Costa Vida and are reading this now, don't listen to all the haters on here. Go visit yourself and try something off their menu. Maybe you'll like it like me, or maybe you won't, but you might just be pleasantly surprised like I was, and no matter the outcome, at least you can say you've tried it. Enjoy! Love, Your friendly neighborhood yelp elite/Queen of Nampa/Taco Salad snob :)

Dinner Beef quesadilla, chips and queso.

Lesly was very helpful. We love the food! We always enjoy eating here in Nampa. Service is great.

Now I know why the place was empty.

So sad, came here for a nice meal, it's our first time patronizing Costa Vida, and the food was bland, no flavor at all. Really did want this stop for Mexican food to be good. I'm sorry to say there is no way I'd ever think of coming back for a second try even if they gave their food out for free. "Terrible" is an understatement. Even the chips and salsa were horrible. Chips were under fried and the salsa fresca tasted like it was watered down. Never ever again!

Fucking delicious. So good. Go there get a burrito, get some Tres leches, get some Horchata. Be happy.

Do not order Costa Vida through a delivery service. They gave the delivery driver water instead of lemonade and the food came ice cold.

This is by far the worst Costa Vida around. My advice, go to the downtown Boise restaurant. The service at this Costa Vida is horrible.

Once here in Idaho, I wasn't as inclined to visit due to my fear that it wouldn't taste the same and the Idaho-shaming of visiting any location. However, I had an overwhelming desire for "animal style" well done fries and after a lot of begging, convinced my husband to come (this was not an easy task). We arrived around 4:30 pm and the dining room was roughly 1/2 full with a robust wrap in drive-thru. We were greeted by a friendly cashier who quickly took our order, then repeated it back perfectly. The kitchen was in a fervor, bustling to satisfy all the orders (really, a hard working team). We obtained our drink cups and the large, typical drink station was nicely stocked with a nice array of soft drinks to choose from. The odd thing to me is that whenever I've eaten at any other location in the past, I think the longest I've ever waited for my meal has been maybe 9 minutes, tops. No matter the time of day or night. We waited 23 minutes for our meals. It seemed that drive-thru is priority, then to-go, then dine-in. The animal style fries were pretty good, though I'm used to it being slathered with more sauce. Thankfully, I was able to get a few sauce packets and gleefully doused to my delight. However, the bun of my burger was so over toasted! The buns were actually hard and crunchy. I'm not used to that. The burger tasted like before but it was dry and overcooked as well. The lettuce, onions, tomatoes and cheese were very fresh and flavorful. My husband had the same experience with his burger as I did. Tables were not wiped down and the condiment station was out of almost everything when we got there. They didn't refill all the cups, chilis, etc. until right before we left. I really wanted to love my visit, but after this experience, and all the convincing to entice my husband there with this result, it's unlikely we will be back.

The atmosphere is very casual, metal tables and chairs, bright and cheerful. Even though it appears like a fast food restaurant, there is table service, and that's nice. Payten was our server, and she did a great job of taking care of us. Don't know what it would be like during the busy times. My wife ordered a Chicken Shawarma sandwich, and I got the Chicken Shawarma bowl. My wife liked the sandwich, and I enjoyed the bowl. Nicely seasoned chicken with a base of salad and Safron rice. Very filling, too. Also, their fries are very good. They are seasoned well and crispy, just the way I like them. We will definitely be back. Good, healthy food at a reasonable price, in a nice atmosphere. My only negative is that the AC was on cold enough for both of us to wish we had brought coats.

I highly recommend checking this place out! it's definitely worth trying! Their gyro sandwich and chicken shawarma are SO GOOD!

Seriously, why does this place have 3 stars?!? I tried the new Green Goddess bacon stack chicken…read moresmash today and it was literally mind blowing. I enjoyed it so much...smashed grilled chicken patty that was juicy and flavorful. Incredibly fresh tomatoes, spring lettuce, melty cheese, crisp bacon, ripe avocado and just the right amount of green goddess dressing. I couldn't put it down. I spoiled myself with some fries covered in cheese and bacon...fries were perfectly cooked with in-house grated cheese melted on top, sprinkled with crispy, chopped bacon. It was a perfectly cooked meal that was also delicious. Service was really friendly and you could tell they were understaffed but hustled to make sure everyone was happy. Such a great location!

I wish this place was closer to the new D&B and Home Depot as I think it would probably busier and get the attention it actually deserves. We will come back when we find ourselves on that aside of town.

We have frequented this location every time we've visited a Habit location in the past 4 years…read more(close to 20 times) and I honestly can't believe I haven't written a review. I've read a lot of reviews on Yelp and I can't say that I've ever experienced poor or rude service, but there have been several inconsistencies from receiving overcooked burgers, undercooked fries or having to wipe down our table to eat. That said, these issues happen, sometimes more often than others, but not enough times to ward off future visits. There was a small line to order when we arrived, so we ordered through the kiosk without issue. This actually prompted others to order through the kiosk as well. After ordering, we walked up to the register to get our drink cups and were quickly greeted by a smiling, lovely employee who promptly gave me our cups. I ordered the new Parmesan chicken club, which unfortunately does not come in a combo...so I ordered the 50/50 (fries and onion rings) and my husband had the charburger with cheese combo. Our food came out quickly and looked stunning! The cheese was melted around the grilled chicken, the bacon was crispy, ingredients were fresh and the bread was toasted to perfection. My only disappointment is that the 50/50 is almost $5 as a side....and I felt like there wasn't enough fries and only 4 small onion rings. Fries were mostly undercooked as well. However, the sandwich was absolutely delicious. My husband's charburger tasted great, but was a tad disappointed as the burger patty was much thinner than other visits. It was almost $34 for lunch and we almost feel like we didn't get our money's worth. Overall, our visit was nice (loved the "habit" radio station...great music!), most of the food was great and the service was super friendly.
