Disappointed, I got to my car looking forward to my meal, as I was hungry, and after I destroyed my taco, and turn to my enchilada as I prepare to also destroy it as-well, I bite into nothing but CHEESE. Nothing else, just cheese. I wont lie my beans and rice were good so was my taco, but wow. I commented to my friend who accompanied me as we left about how fast our food came out, I now see why! Not to mention the girl taking orders was very blunt and very obviously just wanted to sit and chat with her boyfriend who was eating in the restaurant. I ordered an Idaho Burrito, there was a very very small amout of fries and cheese, majority of the burrito was guacamole and sour cream. It was missing most of the fries (what was there was cold and not fried) amd swamped with guacamole amd cream... basically ripped off and the burrito flavor changed due to the contents. The first experience there, the girl was busy talking to her coworker and left us sitting there for 20'ish minutes at the drive thru and had an attitude. This is the experience; they have so done badly as mentioned above. I do NOT recommend. It's an absolute disappointment. read more

It may not be super authentic but Los Beto's is a reliable Mexican food joint that is always there when you need it the most. I just recently stopped by this location on Easter Sunday at 7:45 pm -- Los Beto's came through when no other tacos spots were open. After a night of drinking with friends, I'd rather pull up to Los Beto's than anywhere else. The platters are a complete meal that really fills you up. We picked up the #8 which is 2 carne asada tacos and #18 tamales -- both came with beans and rice. Simply delicious. The tamales also came with 2 tortillas and shredded lettuce, I honestly don't think that shredded lettuce gets enough credit for how good it really can be with the right company! One of the most iconic chain restaurants in the treasure valley. The meat is tender and perfectly seasoned. The interior is clean with a calming nostalgia that reminds you of simpler times. The staff was friendly and remarkably quick getting our food out. In fact my friend ordered a burrito and it was in his hand before he could sit down. The food was exquisite, I ordered a California burrito which had the carne asada and potatoes locked in a playful dance with my taste buds. I highly recommend the red salsa which is packed with flavor and a hint of spice. Order a horchata and churro to go with your meal if you're feeling adventurous and cap the meal off with trying your luck at the quarter or claw machine. I ordered a California burrito based on the suggestion of another review. I asked for side of pico de gallo. The lady said they cannot do a side but could put in inside the burrito. Got home and no pico de gallo given. Also, the taste of the meat was not very good. Not sure what cut or how they cook it but they could improve on that meat. read more

The Idaho burrito here is extremely delicious. I did not expect a burrito bigger than my head when I paid $6.99 for it! The flavor was bold and it was very filling - barely made it through half! That being said - the fries in the burrito were a bit stale, though I did get food pretty late. And it was definitely on the greasy side, and made me feel a little bit of regret haha. We have been customers of the los Betos on Caldwell near Middleton for several years. My wife loves the chicken street tacos. Two weeks ago we got chicken street tacos and they were so spicy she couldn't eat them. This is the same street tacos she's been eating for years. Last week we decided to go to another restaurant and try their chicken street tacos. They were not as good as the old los Beto's chicken street tacos. Tonight we decided to go back to los Beto's and try the chicken street tacos. They are still so spicy she cannot eat them. This is ridiculous. Even the rest of our order was sloppy and not in the condition were used to. Suggest you find a new cook or get somebody that cares about doing their job. Very disappointing! read more

I have gone to all of the locations of Los betos in Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell and I have to say they do have some really good Mexican food for Idaho but the worst and I mean the worst customer service is the one on State Street in Boise, the woman that works at the window and is there all the time, she takes your order on the microphone and is the rudest woman I've ever met in my life and my whole family goes there and we treat her so sweet and respectful and she is just beyond disrespectful, she throws our food at us doesn't smile doesn't say thank you and sometimes has an attitude and says stuff underneath her breath like she is racist against whites when we give her a lot of customer service! Don't go there and I'm sure if you do go there you'll know exactly who I'm talking about! read more

a great bang for your buck! the fish tacos and carne asada are my go to, and i always tend to go when i'm looking for something quick in the drive through. the lady at the drive thru is so sweet and always has a big smile when she greets me. it's perfect for a quick fix when you want something with a thick tortilla. read more

I got the bacon breakfast burrito. It was hot and fresh. My date got the chorizo breakfast burrito. They were about $6 each. He said it was spicy and the best chorizo he ever had. He ate it all, I could only eat half (or less). Our food was served up fast. We are inside but they also have a drive thru. read more

They have really good food. I definitely recommend it. They're really fast at getting it in the drive-through or walking in. The only thing is when you go in the drive-through. Sometimes they get your order wrong not too much but a few times I go there quite a bit but they have excellent food and they're very kind people. Having flown in from Portland to Boise and detouring to Nampa to join forces with my brother we were heading out to I-84 to go to the other side of the state to take care of some urgent family business. That was all well and good and noble, but does it mean you have to deprive yourself of a good breakfast? I think not. My brother being a connoisseur of all things good to eat drove by Los Beto's so we could partake of breakfast burritos. Something you can eat and still drive reasonably well. In Portland we have a spreading chain called Muchas Gracias, and this place looked to be nearly a carbon copy. Big burritos sold cheap, great looking platters of food. As it was early in the morning I spotted the object of my affection, a bacon, egg and potato burrito. The brother got the Chorizo, egg and potato burrito which I wanted but was warned it can be spicy, so I opted for a wussy option. When our food come up the burritos were HUGE. Could I be dreaming? Was this heaven? Have I found Mexican food perfection? As I looked at the menu which had pictures of all the combos I saw about thirteen things I wanted to try later, but for now it was time to hit the road and traverse the great state of Idaho, which we did, steering wheel in one hand, burrito in the other and the XM satellite radio blaring out tunes to eat by. 244 miles to Mom's house? I ordered the Idaho burrito but got shredded beef instead of carne asada and I think it was genuinely the driest burrito I've ever had in my life. It got stuck in my throat in my car and I had to chug water to try and force it down. I also got 3 rolled tacos with guacamole and the guacamole had a vinegar taste. Disappointed since I used to come here all of the time 10+ years ago and now probably wouldn't look twice at this place again. read more

My husband took the bad salsa back and told then it tasted bad and if we could please have 6 green instead of the red The customer service here is aweful!! They proceed to tell him that he may have tampered with the salsa!! He was JUST there!!! He brought it to show them how many we bought and that they may want to check their salsa. They showed no concern that what they were selling could possibly be bad! You dont treat your customers this way. He said the inside was so dirty that we would not be eating there anymore. We just stopped in for a quick bite after some taekwondo classes and I had a crazy craving for some Mexican food. Ive never ordered anything from these guys other than the bacon breakfast burrito. So I decided to try the Cali burrito (steak, potatoes and pico de Gallo). It was amazing. Very tasty, very good. The steak had a fresh off the grill flavor and that's always a plus. The potatoes are fries and that's absolutely ok with me. My son had a cheese quesadilla. It was Huuuuge and really really greasy but he said it was really good. The wife had some chicken taquitos and said they were perfect. Crunchy, slightly spiced and covered in cheese. I happen to like this chain - a lot. They have So. Cal style mexican food, something that is hard to leave once you move out of the state. Trust me on this - I have moved around a lot. Some of my favorites are the enchiladas, chicken burrito, and shredded beef tacos. They have horchata and most of the time it is good. Every now and then you get a weak batch. I wish it was more consistent but when it is good it is GOOD so I won't complain too much about it. My one chief complaint is that it says that it is 24 hours but I have gone here a number of times after midnight and they were closed. Bummer. read more
