My family and I are Costco junkies, every time we travel (even to other states!) we always look for Costco Wholesales and Costco gasoline. This particular Costco off of Tech Center Dr. is quite close to Scripps Ranch, Scripps Miramar and Poway residents. On a most recent visit, I had noticed that the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool heater/fan/air purifier was $100 less than what I had purchased on Costco online. I went to the business help desk and was helped by Tami. She patiently helped me make a call to Costco and after about 10-15 minutes, Costco has refunded the difference to my credit card. I wanted to take this moment to give Tami a huge shoutout for taking the extra step to help me save more money, and going above and beyond for Costco customers. On a same visit, another Costco staff, Donald, was collecting shopping carts outside and noticed I was parked far away. He walked towards me to collect the cart I was using. I had a great time shopping at this Costco. The customer service was top rate and to top it off, they even help me find my sun glasses I left lying around somewhere. I came in with the intentions of purchasing a couple of pairs of pants and maybe some socks, and I left with the said socks, five pairs of pants, some sneakers, some much needed pillows for snuggling, and some snacks for the office. Regarding the pants, I could not resist because not only where they of a quality brand known as English Laundry but they were very well priced at around $20 a peace, so yes I picked up five different colors and patterns for work and social settings. Nice pants. The sneakers I just needed for goofy around stuff and I could not beat the price and socks are always in need. The pillows I remembered as I saw them and I found a pair with an excellent memory foam and sincere comfort. I know because I've been sleeping on them for the past week. Everywhere I went, employees asked if I needed assistance or were stocking, cleaning, and helping others. It was good to see. Good products, good service, results in a great place to shop. read more

What? It's my local Costco. It's got a gas station and a car wash and a tire center and a propane (super cheap) refill station. It's a Costco. But, there are Costcos and there are Costcos... Generally excellent customer service (local folks from Poway and Scripps staff it). Always clean and well organized. This location (vs. the Carmel Mountain location) has intrinsically better employee attitudes and much better mid-week flow. It's a Costco, but a really good one. I had to drive 2 1/2 hours in traffic to pick up a prescription I have already paid for and then when I get a number to pick it up I was passed because I'm not white. I'm used to blatant racism and death threats in Poway but this was pretty pathetic. This was the SECOND time this has happened and I only felt the need to mention it now because I wasted my time and gas only to be shafted for being brown. Great job Costco. 10/22/2016 Stopped in my favorite Costco yesterday to pick up some of my Favorites. You know, Great croissants. Great Meats. Halloween candy. And this trip A Large Choice Grade Cowboy Ribeye Steak which was one of their specials of the day. Only $12.99 a pound. Wow what a great chunk of beef. (3 pounds). Nice marbling and trimmed just right. Grilled up that puppy tonight. Super tender and super juicy with a lot of very good beef flavor. Cosco's meats are well worth the money. Out of all the Cosco's I've been to over the years this is for sure the very best. Always a very friendly staff and rarely a very long wait in line at the registers. It's A Win Win For Me read more

Largest Costco Wholesale in San Diego County To my knowledge, this is the largest Costco Wholesale (not Business Center) in San Diego Country. I have been living in San Diego Country for over 36 years & I have been in many Costco around the country. This place is the largest, better selection, variety of the same products, good prices & nice. Costco Tech Center is an organized Costco. It is very clean & well stocked. Management is professional & knowledgeable. This Costco is not the nearest Costco to me but I drive a little farther to get here because it is worth it. This place is not far from me & is stocked with quality products. This is the Costco which I shop most. Costco is a private club for businesses & private members. I love this Costco and this is the one that I grew up going to, living in Scripps Ranch my whole life. I have never had a bad experience here until just yesterday afternoon. Sadly, a rude blonde haired woman working at the return section has ruined that for me and made my time here very unpleasant. I was returning a package of tomatoes that I had bought by mistake and realized they were not Roma tomatoes, which I needed. The lady immediately scolded me and said, "You know, we have to throw these away right..." I immediately felt the pressure of her rude tone and disappointment over me returning the tomatoes. I was just like, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't intend for this." She just continued to roll her eyes and give off rude annoyed vibes. Anyways, that was an unfortunate experience and I hope that woman works on her attitude and learns how to better talk to customers. That is all. read more

To the attention of Costco corporate office, 3 days in a row I tried to get to this warehouse early enough to get some bathroom tissue and guess what - they are out 10 mins. after their door opened !!! I'm usually a patient kind of guys but while walking out of the store saw these fly carts with 10-12 bags of toilet paper so I proceeded to ask to speak with the manager. I asked her if Costco will be breaking any law if they set a limit for each family and her response was no but if "she sees someone with an excessive qty. of them, she'll stop it." To which I responded, "how much is is excessive ? She hesitated and responded; "well, hmm. a pallet." I knew then it was all BS. I then asked to speak to someone who could set a limit to which she replied, that will be corporate. I was given a name and a number and this person turned out to be a buyer and then another person and then Rich, apparent VP of ops who is not reachable for some reason and so I went directly to corporate in Wash. state, left a message and finally got ahold of someone who promised to send an email to all California stores including the region's executive to set a limit. I will try my luck again tomorrow morning since I need some chlorine for my pool and weed killer. Oh, did I mention that I advised all the six people I talked to that these are being sold at $11 more on line? Also, the so-called manager? She's not and the corporate folks turned out they admins, buyer, assistants, and heaven knows what ever else bs I've been told to protect/shield them from advocates like yours truly. Am very happy about costco Customer Service always Specially today at Poway tech center Dr. Here is the thing what happened to me .I did eye exam last week and order one prescription Lens . After a week they texted me to pickup the glass . Unfortunately the glass didn't great that much as well it didn't fit me well when I wear it truly uncomfortable. So I went back after two days and talk to optical department and explained what happened and what options I have either to return or exchange. And the eyeglass department manager named Kiev She Came up with No Solution and I have to keep it the glass . So bad $200 glass Spent for nothing . Even anywhere they give you 30 days exchange or refund option if you don't like it why not Costco ? This is the Best place for Customer Satisfaction no one else reached it . I also have to give a specific shout out to their management or whoever is organizing the check out area: Top Notch! I've never had more than 3 people in front of me, and the majority of the time its 1 or 2! Always opening lines, no slow check outs, everyone has a helper. I love Costco and this location is starting to grow on me the more I visit. It's far enough away from the interstate that people find it inconvenient to get here; therefore the lines aren't super crazy even on a Saturday afternoon. The parking lot is a bit weird (seems to be a trend here in SD though) but not too much of an issue finding parking. The one return I've done here was super quick and the employee was friendly. They have a good stock of items and the produce looked fresh, which I cannot always say of other locations. Lots of sample people because let's be honest that is why most of us go to Costco in the first place! Checking out was a fast experience here too and bonus the bathrooms were clean. I really have no complaints about this location. I just wish it wasn't so out of the way for me. Definitely coming back. read more

This Costco is a hidden gem I think. It's one of the two Costco sites in Poway but this one is WAY less busy than the Carmel Valley location. Never usually wait more than 5-10 mins in the gas line. Costco - Where you can get anything/everything you need to survive the zombie apocalypse. Also, where you can get enough ketchup to last you 10 years. And as Joe Q. said, they're all standard. But this one's special. I believe it's one of the newest Costco's in the SD county and it wins by having a) the gelato b) The car wash! The car wash is just a standard, drive up and the machine does the rest. That's it. Overall, I think it's smaller than the one on Morena or the one in RB but it's got ample parking and friendly staff. Absolutely one of the best costcos. read more

This is probably my second favorite Costco to shop at, although its location means I usually end up here. It is usually pretty clean, the people are USUALLY friendly, and it isn't offensively crowded like some of the other locations. The food court is pretty fast too, but I do wish they had coke products available at the fountain machines and not just pepsi. read more

This review is not about Costco but about Insta-carts servicing of this store. I have used Insta-cart three times in the supermarkets and had excellent service. BUT I have had a cart ready since April 5th and for the last 9 days keep getting the message no delivery available. I can't contact Insta-card the only way I have found available is using their Chat. Twice I tried and had 975 people before me and next 1215 before me. I understand why the shoppers for Insta-cart don't want to spend the time waiting on line to get into Costco when they often can get in and out of the other stores faster and make twice as many deliveries and thus make more income. But then Insta-cart must take Costco off their store list or give the shoppers an incentive to shop there. Or at least give their customers an alert about that store. read more
