Aloha all! Do I dare go to Costco without a shopping list? Well ..I did and walking from aisle to aisle I ended up impulse buying like so many others. There is just too many deals to pass up. From groceries to home goods and electronics, it's all here under one roof. The staff here are all so friendly and eager to help find whatever you're looking for. The location of this Costco is further away from the city of San Diego and for that reason it's not as busy as other locations. It's time to check out at the cash register...wish me luck!!

Standard Costco with usual product availability. There is a pharmacy, tire center, car wash and gas station at this location but at night, the parking lot is really dark. It is really concerning as there is a neighboring parking lot where people are known to car camp.

To make our trip a little more enjoyable for my daughter, she joined in my member photo shoot. HAHAHA

We all know Costco is great if you want to buy high quantities of products you consume and save money in the long run. But did you know: Sure, here are five interesting facts about Costco that might surprise you: 1. Costco's Rotisserie Chickens Are a Loss Leader: Costco sells its famous rotisserie chickens at a loss to attract customers. Priced at just $4.99, these chickens are a major draw for shoppers, who often end up purchasing other items with higher profit margins during their visit. That explains the lady I saw the other day with 40 Rotisserie Chickens in her basket. (What does she do with all that chicken?) 2. Kirkland Signature Brand Dominance: Costco's private label, Kirkland Signature, is known for its high quality and affordability. It accounts for nearly a third of Costco's sales, and many of the products are manufactured by well-known brands under the Kirkland label, offering members great value for their money. Examples of this: Kirkland Vodka: It's widely believed that Kirkland Signature American Vodka is produced by the same distillery that makes Grey Goose. Although neither Costco nor Grey Goose officially confirms this, many believe that the Kirkland vodka offers a comparable quality at a much lower price. Kirkland Batteries: Kirkland Signature batteries are made by Duracell, a trusted name in battery manufacturing. This ensures that the Kirkland batteries offer good performance and reliability. Kirkland Coffee: Some of the Kirkland Signature coffee varieties are roasted by Starbucks. This includes their house blend, which is known for its quality and rich flavor. Kirkland Diapers: Kirkland Signature diapers are made by Kimberly-Clark, the same company that manufactures Huggies. This means that customers can expect a similar level of quality and performance. Kirkland Pet Food: Kirkland Signature pet food is produced by Diamond Pet Foods, a reputable pet food manufacturer known for its high standards and quality ingredients. 3. No Advertising Policy: Unlike many large retailers, Costco does not spend money on advertising. Instead, they rely on word-of-mouth marketing and the appeal of their membership model to attract and retain customers. This helps keep their operating costs low, which is passed on to shoppers in the form of lower prices. 4. Costco's Return Policy: Costco is renowned for its generous return policy. Members can return almost any item at any time if they are not satisfied, with a few exceptions like electronics, which have a 90-day return window. This policy contributes to customer loyalty and satisfaction. 5. $1.50 Hot Dog and Soda Combo: The price of Costco's iconic hot dog and soda combo has remained the same since it was first introduced in the mid-1980s. Despite inflation and rising costs, Costco has kept the price at $1.50 as a customer favorite and a symbol of value. The company's co-founder, Jim Sinegal, once famously said that if anyone tried to raise the price, he would "kill them." 6. Lost your card? Just go to the return department and have them print out a new one. And anytime you want a new picture... just ask.

Best sunsets are at this costco.

goated costco. great staff. if you come for a sunset you can smell the great scent of the costco car wash nearby.

Ask the Community - Costco Wholesale

Costco recently said they would stop selling propane. Does this location still refill propane tanks? I don't see a price on the website.

As of today (11/04/2024), Poway Costco is still selling propane. $2.84/gallon

What are the hours of the car wash? I cant find it anywhere even when I call.

M-F 7AM-6:30PM and Sat-Sun 7AM-6PM You can also check out their yelp page.... It's Costco Car Wash.

Last Monday I went to Costco after 40 days quarantined and I left because there were nine or 10 people without any masks. Will Costco care about all of its customers and have them all wear masks as do their employees?

    Hahaha this didn't age well.

    Do they accept American Express?

I believe so, however, they do not accept MasterCard

One-star review from a healthcare provider…read more Absolutely appalled by the conduct and complete lack of professionalism displayed by this pharmacy and specifically by the pharmacy manager, Lenah Amayreh. I spent HOURS attempting to resolve an urgent medication issue for a patient who was actively without medication and experiencing delayed access to medically necessary treatment. Instead of collaboration or basic professional communication, I encountered repeated holds, repeated disconnections/hang-ups, refusal to provide identifying information, refusal to provide a pharmacist license number when requested for documentation purposes, and refusal to meaningfully assist in resolving the issue. When I asked Lenah for her name, she responded by sarcastically asking me "if I knew how to spell." When attempting to clarify which medication dosages were covered so that I could prevent interruption in treatment for my patient, I was told to "do the math" myself. This is beyond inappropriate. It is arrogant, dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable behavior toward a prescribing provider attempting to prevent interruption of patient care. The level of hostility and obstruction encountered during this interaction was shocking. Despite HOURS spent attempting to resolve the issue, the pharmacy STILL failed to appropriately resolve the prescription issue, forcing me to transfer the patient's prescriptions elsewhere in order to prevent further disruption in care. Healthcare providers and pharmacies are supposed to work collaboratively to protect patient safety and continuity of treatment. Instead, this pharmacy created unnecessary barriers, delayed care, obstructed communication, and demonstrated an alarming lack of accountability and professionalism. This matter will be escalated to corporate leadership, the ethics/compliance line, and the California Board of Pharmacy for review. I will also no longer be directing patients to this location and will instead recommend pharmacies that understand the seriousness of patient care, provider communication, and professional conduct.

However, several issues have been making my shopping experience increasingly uncomfortable. I often feel like I'm being watched. When I walk down an empty aisle, someone seems to appear almost immediately, and they stand very close to me. The self‑checkout area is especially uncomfortable -- the employee there watches me so closely that it feels accusatory. I've never stolen anything in my life; I'm the person who turns in lost cell phones. This is the only store where I ever feel this way, and it's discouraging. The large blue baskets employees push around are another concern. I've been bumped or hit by them more than once. Recently, an item I canceled at checkout was accidentally left in my cart by an employee. I drove back to return it because I didn't want anyone to get in trouble, but the situation added to my frustration. The produce section also needs improvement. Some items are fine, but the potatoes are often old, and the lettuce is frequently wilted. The layout of the produce area makes things worse -- the slanted tables and narrow pathways cause constant congestion, and customers end up bumping into each other. I hope these issues can be addressed. I like this store and want to continue shopping here but thinking of changing to a different store. The overall experience has become stressful. Improving the layout, produce quality, and customer interactions would make a big difference.

The pharmacist refused to give me my son's inhaler, she was saying how his doctor is wrong on the dosage and she refused to let me take the inhaler that is prescribed to him. She just held the inhaler in her hand telling me also how she tried calling me and it's not her fault the call didn't go through. Keep in mind I sat right at the pharmacy area on those little uncomfortable red chairs for over 30mins waiting for this inhaler with my sick son. I asked her what time they close because I needed to return to work (I didn't want to continue to argue with her about giving me my son's medication) and she said "till 9pm" and I said ok I'll be back after work and she responded with "I'll be here when you get back" in a rude tone too. I've never had poor service before but I really don't want to deal with her again so I switched pharmacy's and received the inhaler later that day easily with no hassle.
