I'm not a person who complains but this has gotten out of hand . I've had a terrible experience with a tall Hispanic long haired man about 12 times now who works at the pick up desk and today was the worst . He's always rude has no customer service skills for someone picking up their food . I've seen him be rude to door dash drivers and an all around a-hole to anyone who comes in . How is he still working here ? I live right by this location and I have to drive to the Mansfield one for cotton patch now just to avoid him . You lost a weekly customer until he is fired . Or train him to treat people better . To anyone who wants to pick up food here avoid it. You'll have a terrible experience . He literally acts like he's hungover and hates being there and works more than anyone . Management must be a joke here or turn a blind eye . Sitting here eating some delicious food at Cotton Patch Cafe. I saw the restaurant randomly off the 20 freeway and decided to stop in. Cotton Patch reminds me of Cracker Barrel, but minus the country store and add alcoholic beverages. I decided to check out the menu before I decided to either stay or leave and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of food that was available. A woman warmly greeted me and escorted me to my table. I told her it was my first time here and she gave me a true Southern welcome and told my waitress to "show her how we do it here". I was given a menu and decided on their meatloaf lunch special. They had several types of lunch specials with chicken tenders, sandwiches, chicken fried steak, and so many more. All of the lunch specials were between $7-$10! With the meatloaf special I got the choice of two side items, so I got their broccoli and southern green beans. After ordering I was brought a basket of fresh and warm bread. The bread was a mix of corn bread muffins and rolls. They tasted so amazing! I had to stop myself several times from eating the entire basket before my food came. When it did come it looked and tasted delicious. The meatloaf was sesoned well with just a hint of sweetness and spice. Their meatloaf is made fresh daily and it was shown in the taste. The broccoli was some of the best I had in a restaurant as it was crunchy and soft at the same time and bright green. The green beans were just okay--not my favorite. Overall I really enjoyed my time at Cotton Patch Cafe. I felt appreciated for my business and the food and service was great. Southern hospitality is alive and well at Cotton Patch! read more

Myself and 8 other church members celebrated our pastors birthday at the Arlington Cotton Patch. This was my first time visiting a Cotton Patch and I was impressed with the wait staff there. We went on a Monday and both of us ordered the Chicken-fried chicken all day special. We were there when it wasn't busy, between 3:30 and 4:30 pm. Service was great, we got our beverages and rolls right away. Our food came to the table shortly after. The food was tasty, but a little too much pepper for my taste. The serving of chicken was large, but the rolls were smaller and the sides serving were smaller than usual. We did ask for more rolls and got them. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. read more

Love this place. We found it two years ago near our hotel when we were looking for a spot to eat after we got into town. Came back to give it another try on this visit. The Chicken Fried Steak is the way to go! Fried pickles are awesome also! Service was awful, had to ask for water and more fish for all you can eat. Took 15 min to get second order of fish, by then you are no longer wanting it. That is probably the plan. The fish and fries were greasy and not the best catfish I have ever had. We have been there before for the chicken fried steak which was always good, but don't waste Friday night for this fish dinner. Waitress was awful, had to ask for napkins and water. There was a bit of a wait once we arrived about 20 min, but it was 7 pm on a Saturday, so I understand. The food took awhile and was a bit over seasoned. SUPER UNDER STAFFED. Disorganized. Managers flip constantly. We were there for 35 minutes with a glass of water and nothing else. The waitstaff is nowhere to be found and the kitchen was so backed up that when our waitress came, she was totally embarrassed. I felt bad for her because she not anyone had any control. I'm not thrilled with the fact that I called ahead to ensure there was no wait in line. Upon my arrival the host never acknowledged our presence nor did anyone else as staff. I have tried on several occasions to eat here and eat time there is always some kind of issue with the food or the staff. I would recommend a closure and reset on training the staff and cooks. I have not have a great experience with this restaurant after COVID. I understand there are changes within most food establishments. However, to be ignored by the host after sitting his party right before us was a huge disappointment. I decided to take my family to another establishment where we could receive the proper service we deserve. Never again! I suggest others to rethink this choice as well. read more

The new menu change has mashed potatoes as a side and it can't be substituted. I'm not happy about that change, you can't make meals lower in carbs by adding more veggies or salad. Went for a party. Had to set up our own tables, which there wasn't enough. Took two hours to get food in sections. My daughter had to go to the bar for all the tables refills. We only had one waitress for 50 people so if you're looking for a job I'm sure they are hiring! Never got condiments. You would think a to-go order would not be that difficult.......WRONG. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, no cheese, with baked squash as my side dish.....to be delivered by Favor. But what I actually get, over an hour later was a sandwich loaded with cheese on soggy bread....no squash.....weird looking instant mashed potatoes and fried okra! WTH!? Not even close to what I ordered. And when I called up there asking how they were going to fix this, I was told I would need to come in and order another meal and they would comp THAT one. Eeeeeee, where to start. We waited at least 5 minutes for someone to great us, they weren't that busy. We were seated and probably about her 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order. We had finished our first round before our food was taken. Our second round came well after our food arrived (probably halfway done eating). And to top it all off, after giving the waitress my card it was 45 minutes before she returned, I asked two other wait staff if they could send her back our way, even tried/asked to speak to the manager in that time. My server Lidian R was rude. I had an issue with my fried shrimp meal. Manager took meal off of my check as I did not eat it. When Lidian brought the check she had charged me for 2 shrimp meals and then removed 1. I explained to her that I had only ordered 1 not 2. I took issue to manager who corrected the bill. Lidian never apologized for her mistake and when I paid, she threw my receipt and card on the table, no eye contact and no thank you. Very poor customer service. read more

Waited a hour for our food. Our female server was more interested in flirting with another female server the entire hour. Why does this matter - my 7 ur old asked why she was hugging and kissing her coworker on the cheek. That was fun to explain. Our food finally arrived and to our surprise the order was wrong. I requested they take my meal off the ticket as I no longer wanted it and if it took an hour to make it the first time, i wasn't willing to wait another hour for the correct meal. Erica was so accommodating and even made sure everything was cleaned up before we had the cake. We all paid separately which I know can be a hassle, but not for Erica. I was nice about it got the server told him I had not ate it yet I just cut into it and I saw it so he sent it back and brought me another one this one was even more raw completely pink in the middle!!! This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. However, the quality of service has recently taken a sharp decline. Today was the final nail in the coffin and I do not plan on returning. My husband and I ordered a meal online and the order was expected to be ready in 40 minutes. My son went to pick it up but had to wait an additional 20 minutes for it to be ready. When he came home with the food, both my husband and I received bad broccoli in our steamed veggies that I suspect to have been moldy before cooking due to the color and taste. It was disgusting and I had to spit it out. The bread rolls used to be buttery and freshly made but were dry and (likely) store bought. The portions were small, no more than ten small fries as one of the sides. We ended up paying 45 dollars for our three meals and poor experience. The quality of our dinner does not justify the price. I want to like this restaurant like I used to but this was the final straw. read more
