Covid , busy , short staffed but this was my last time to go . The North Richland Hills in Texas location should shut down They will failed to complete your order 100 percent of the time . This is based on the last 5 times I have ordered from them. Tonight I even went to the location placed in person and waited 20 minutes and I get home and I have 2 items missing . This used to be a busy location with decent food but it is now empty on a Saturday with cold food that seems out of a can. It took about 1hr for it to come out for our table and I feel terrible for the waitress and staff there because I know they were trying their best. After a busy day on Sunday 2:20/22 we decided to reorder our last order which was chicken fried chicken. The vegetables were a little cold (5 minute drive home) but we're good. Food is good. Service has definitely improved versus older reviews. I will be going back. Fried pickles and the headlining burger is done well. Chicken-fried chicken works as well. Bad waitress, kitchen out of food, no bread and when bread came not even one roll per person so someone got no bread,did not get what we ordered, etc etc. wow what an experience for the 7 of us. Stood at the front for 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Finally the BOH manager walked up and seated me. After being seated I got a drink and waited another 10-15 and asked another waitress organizing the host station who my waitress was. 5 minutes later she walked up and I finally ordered food. Waited another 15-20 for my food and the main entree came out before my salad. Food was decent but Experience was less than. Word of advice is other servers should help other servers and managers should be more aware of what's going on to make sure customers are properly treated for a better experience. I was in Cotton Patch with my daughter and her 2 children and baby. My daughter and I each had a strawberry pecan salad with grilled chicken. We had only just got started when I almost vomited when an earwig a good sized one crawled up from within my salad. I informed the staff and the manager came to the table and stated that they receive their salad material in sacs and it must have been in the sac. He offered me another meal which I declined and he said he would cover it. I was in shock and my daughter also pushed away her salad. We were quickly ready to leave and I asked if my meal only was covered or the whole bill. He emphatically stated only my meal was covered. Cotton patch is a pretty good place for those looking for various American foods to acini date various palets. I.e chicken fried steak, chicken tenders, salads, veggie plates, steak fingers. We've been twice in recent memory, we have been seated quickly every time. Service has been pretty good but can been slow at times. The food is usually pretty good as well. I really enjoy most of the items I've ordered at the NRHills location and the Weatherford location. However recently they have started charging $3.00 for a glass of tea which is half ice. My husband refuses to patronize this restaurant chain any longer. It does not cost that much for a glass of tea. They do not appreciate their loyal customers when they do this. We tried Cotton Patch in NRH again last night and had an entirely different experience regarding the service. Our wait person was very attentive even though she was busy with other tables. Our tea was replenished often, we were asked how our meal was several times, if we needed anything else, and finally if we saved room for dessert. My husband and I both ordered the Garlic Herb Shrimp. He ordered broccoli and a house salad, I ordered a baked potato and house salad. Our food was delicious. While the restaurant was extremely busy (Saturday evening, 7:00), we couldn't have asked for better service. CP offers comfort food at its best. We'll definitely go back. read more

You walk in and watch multiple employees walk right past you without greeting you. Once one of them finally does, they act annoyed to have to seat you. You will then proceed to sit there without a server coming to your table to take your drink/food order, once they do, again annoyed, they more than likely will get the food order wrong. Good thing is, their food is delish! They just really need to work on their front line employees attitudes and customer service. Friday night is all you can eat catfish. I had all you can eat catfish. I will never get that again. The filets were as thin as cardboard and extremely salty . I could have eaten about twenty pieces. But when they bring you two half pieces of filet at a time -I quit after like 8 pieces because I imagined my fingers swelling from all the salt. We ate here at about 4PM on 7.5.19 which was a Friday so it was a little early to be crowded but it had plenty of customers. We were seated and served immediately. I noticed the cafe was clean and the floor did not have food on it. The server brought us some nice hot rolls while we were deciding on our order and even brought us cornbread when we requested it. My husband and I ordered the 5 side platters with a salad and the food came out very quickly and was piping hot! (except for the salad of course) We have been to multiple locations and as of today this is our favorite. Last night was one of those "I don't feel like cooking, and even if I did I forgot to thaw any meat" nights. It was also one of those "I have no clue what I'm hungry for" kind of nights. So we decided to head to the local Chili's, a quick jaunt around the corner. They have a good variety, something for everyone, surely something will jump off the menu! We never made it to Chili's, for almost directly across Davis Blvd is the Cotton Patch. We'd seen it many times but never ventured in. "Wanna try it?" I asked. "Sure," she replied. We were pleased to see a menu offering a nice variety of comfort foods in a casual atmosphere with friendly staff. My eyes went straight to the meat loaf. Perfect choice. Chili's has no meat loaf. My wife opted for the grilled pork chops. The hot rolls came quickly along with two glasses of wine. Very nice. About half way through our meal we agreed that this will become a regular stop for us. The portions were good - not too much, not too little. And the food tasted great. We were tempted to try the cobbler, but ultimately decided to save that for another visit - sooner rather than later. Last Sunday we went to the Cotton Patch in Mansfield TX. The food was fantastic along with great service. So tonight I ordered curbside from the North Richland Hills location and that was a big mistake. I ordered the same thing in both locations. My fish was over cooked and very salty. The veggies did not have much of a taste. My wife's fish dish was about the same on the veggies but she could not get a real good opinion on the fish. There was not enough fish to determine an opinion. Apparently the kitchen staff kept most of it for themselves. I would highly recommend the kitchen staff at North Richland Hills travel to Mansfield location to learn how to prepare food. When I think of chained Homestyle Grubbing, I figure that the joint is gonna be empty, with maybe a few old folks grabbing a quick bite to eat. Well, I was totally wrong. Cotton Patch Cafe on Davis is apparently the place to be on a Saturday night, whether with friends or family. I couldn't believe how many groups flocked to this mainstream, Chilis-esque establishment. The menu is enormous. Not many places in the world can you find "Heart-Healthy" Norwegian salmon cooked plainly next to a Spinach-Artichoke Dip. Case in point--cue Chili's. Moreover, it doesn't seem to be too common to find sweet potato fries as a "premium" side... especially when there is a huge push to sell the homemade guacamole, queso, and salsa. Chips+rolls... talk about grounds for a heart-attack. Well, we will get to the artery-clogging goodness next. At first taste, the chicken fried chicken was good. Then I noticed that very distinguishable "raw" juiciness and springy texture. It was near pink inside, but I couldn't complain... it was cooked all the way through. Good crust, for sure. Gravy, I could have done without. A little note on the sweet potato fries. They were honestly some of the best that I have tasted in the entire metroplex. They were crisp, well-seasoned, and consistent, all across the board. No better sweet, orange, Vitamin-A-laden tuber without high premium, for sure. On the whole, the service is good and quick. It is a little too "family friendly", but I figure that's what you get when you are in the Colleyville/Keller/North Richland Hills sort of trifecta of suburbia DFW. We have been eating at this CP since it opened a decade or so ago. It was always consistently good. Last 3 visits have been a disaster. I'll provide details of tonight. First of all, it was over 1 hour from the time we were seated that food arrived. My order was not what I ordered. I even pointed to it in the menu and read it aloud when ordering. 40 minutes later and still my correct order hadn't arrived. It never did. The burger my wife ordered was overlooked and missing toppings and the fries were likely left from the lunch rush. My son ordered the grilled Cajun duo which he has ordered for years. Awful. Looked nothing like it ever has before. Potatoes dry and cold. Portion size less than half of what he had come to expect. I asked our friendly but introverted server to please have a manager come over. Ten minutes later the manager showed up. I explained how disappointed we were and that we were regulars. She just kinda stared at me and said "I understand." She then bussed the table and disappeared. We sat there puzzled for an additional 10 minutes but never saw our server or the manager again. I've never walked a ticket in my life so this was a first. Cotton Patch... you have a serious management and moral problem at Davis and Precinct. We're done. Cotton Patch is a secret favorite of mine, all time favorite. Now it isn't just this location, but most, I have never had a problem with any location. I came here with my cousin just last week. Just as with the majority, this cotton patch had excellent servers, the waitress always came by to check on us, even other servers would come by occasionally to refill our drinks if our current waiter was busy at another table. The meal is a very good portion and for good prices as well. I'm used to going to a restaurant and seeing a small slice of meat with a tiny baked potato and minimal vegetables, but CPC does not skimp on the food. They will bring out a large steak, fish, salad, whatever it is you're ordering is a very good sized meal. The baked potato is out of this world, I never order a meal without one! Then I turn to desserts. Now most places have only one or two desserts that look "okay" to try. Cotton Patch doesn't have a single dessert that is bad or just "okay", they're all great with excellent pricing. A large banana pudding for two dollars is what I would consider a good price.
