The WORST meal we have ever eaten in Georgia!! Greasy fried chicken fried in OLD GREASE, mushy green beans, rubbery rolls, mac and cheese that looked like it was scraped off the bottom of the pan and cold. This food was so bad we had to get up, apologize and leave even after paying for it. Don't waste your money or time going here to eat. Pre Pandemic had a different staff and cook. We actually enjoyed eating there in 2019-2000. It has completely gone down hill and the new chef is terrible. I order breakfast from here yesterday 6/6/21 I ordered The big Caboose for myself along with an order of biscuits and gravy (Pictured) and an order of 1 buttermilk with bacon for my son. When I tell you the food was BLAND with no flavor well except for the eggs and the bacon. My 9yr old loves pancakes and the look on his face after his first bite let me know what to expect. This is a small feel like restaurant family owned place. Located at the end of the plaza. We came in for a quick bite to eat. Didn't have to wait for a table long. Our server had never had a big table. She took our drink orders and took a while to come back for food orders. I ordered the pork chops mashed potato and macaroni and cheese. A lot of my other table orders breakfast. My food had no seasoning. Mashed potatoes taste like powder mix and so did the thick brown gravy that coated my mashed potatoes like a glove. My macaroni and cheese had no salt or cheese with large pieces of black pepper. I was sitting by the restroom and saw the cart of condiments and I asked another server if I could have some Tabasco she told me they didn't have any only Texas Pete. My first time here with my family of 5. Our waitress was very nice and patient. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, which was really good. I ordered grilled fish with a side of Mac n cheese and green beans. Grilled fish was too salty, mac n cheese was just right as well as the green beans. My fiancé ordered the meal of the day; jambalaya over rice. My daughter ordered the 4 piece chicken tenders with some sides, my son ordered 2 pieces of the same but ended up getting 3 bc the waitress messed up his order and his food came later than ours. So, as we were eating, my son showed us his second chicken tender. It was pink in the middle! I asked what about the first piece and he said, "it was really chewy" and I'm guessing maybe he ate it too fast bc he did say he was very hungry. I was very upset and disappointed bc I thought this spot would be decent go-to for us to have some country cooking food on days we crave it. So, we took the food to the person at the front, she looks like she's the manager and all they did for us was take my son's order off of our check and gave us 50% off. I wasn't happy and I felt like they weren't really apologetic. I'd only come back again for their fried green tomatoes. But after seeing my son consume raw chicken tender, it disgusted me and I'm appalled that they weren't concern if my son would be okay after eating it raw! This was my first time eating at this restaurant. I was seated immediately, and the waiter came to take my order. My disappointment was the waiter never returned to see if anything else after taking my order. I ordered a pancake breakfast that also came with toast. When my order was delivered to the table by the cashier, it did not have any condiments such as jelly for the toast or syrup for the pancakes. I ate a portion of the food and another waitress asked me did I need anything after she saw me sitting there for a while twiddling my thumbs. I requested a to go box, which she immediately brought. No one brought a check to my table, so I got up and went to the register to pay. It really felt like I was home y'all. This is true Southern cooking - making comfort food out of very simple ingredients. You have to be from a Southern home to know exactly what I mean... I can't really put what I mean in words. My niece raved about Bridgeview's fried chicken, so we decided to give it a try. The chicken is definitely tender and juicy, but it's not the best I've had. In fact, I ended up liking the side options more. My favorites were the chicken and dumplings and creamed corn. If I return, I'll definitely get a vegetable/ side combo plate. The fried pickles were served in such a large portion that I got giddy, and the waitress couldn't keep the sweet tea coming fast enough before all of us wanted refills. First let me say I'm not a huge country cooking fan but my wife is so we decided to give this place a try. The wife ordered the chicken and dumplings with Mac n cheese and potato salad as her sides. She was not happy with any of her selections. The potato salad was dry and the Mac n cheese had no flavor. The chicken and dumplings were mediocre at best. I ordered the meatloaf with pintos and green beans. The green beans were good but the pintos has no flavor. I will say I liked the meatloaf. For months, nay, years I'd bookmarked the old Biscuits & Brunch place as a breakfast destination and somehow never went there. Then yesterday, I drove by and was quite shocked, nay distraught, to find it had closed. I had the presence of mind to dial their old number and was happy to learn that the same owners had opened up BridgeView Country Cooking right across the street. So my friend and I turned right around... BridgeView was immediately very comfortable. Unpretentious. Friendly. A devastatingly attractive server immediately took our order and then skillfully stayed out of the way as my friend and I enjoyed our eggs and that light, fluffy, buttery biscuit. Our glasses were never empty. And the eggs were exactly what they needed to be--totally hitting the spot and getting the day started right. It is clear that many regulars from the old Biscuits & Brunch place have transferred seamlessly to the new location. People soon began filing in for an early lunch (which coincided with our very late breakfast). Good stuff. On the breakfast side you've got delicious traditional fare: eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, grits, ham, bacon... You could even order a fried bologna biscuit. I imagine the chicken biscuit here is delicious. (I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it.) On the lunch side you've got country fried steak, pork chops, fried chicken, burgers, fish, and a bunch of other delicious looking stuff. (The police at the neighboring table were chowing down on their lunch. I wanted to ask them about their food, but I was too focused on my friend.) Some of the best fried chicken I've ever tasted. They cook their chicken to order, so be prepared to wait 25-30 minutes for your entree to be served. Of course, you can't rush quality (especially in the South) - and it was oh so worth it on the back end. Both pieces were crisp, juicy, and full of flavor. I've eaten here many many times but decided to go ahead and write a review today. The food is usually excellent. There have been times when it was quite below average but I think that was a hit or miss situation. The last time I had their fried chicken, it was totally different and not very good at all. The waitress said they had change vendors on their chicken supplier. But it seemed fried totally different as well. If their fried chicken is going to taste like that from now on, I will never order it again. Most of their waitstaff is "OK." It seems that if they do not know you and you are not a regular, they are not as friendly. Little things like "thank you," "you're welcome," and "I'm sorry," were not uttered very often when they should have been. At least that's what I found. Also the waitstaff doesn't always listen as they should. Today I ordered a three egg cheese omelette with one piece of toast. I asked for WHITE cheese and they brought me a WHITE EGG omelette which was much more expensive and the tried to charge me for the one piece of toast which is normally included. Of course, they corrected it all but the waitress never said "I'm sorry" or apologized and never said "we will get it right next time." Again, in regards to their food taste, it's excellent about 80% of the time. However, this place could be a five star place with just some minor management training to their staff. read more

My spouse and I are food connoisseurs. We were looking for a quaint spot for breakfast outside of the popular restaurant food chains. We went to our trusted friend Google. We came across this spot so I went to Yelp and read the reviews. We decided to give it a try. All I can say is, "Did not disappoint." My spouse ordered the city ham platter with grits and scrambled eggs. She was thoroughly satisfied. The ham looked like a ham steak that was huge. I ordered the smoked sausage platter with a large bowl of grits. I also had a biscuit that was light and fluffy, just like grandma used to make. It was soooo delicious. The coffee was great as well. The food alone is enough to warrant 5 stars but when you add friendly and fast service, freshly cooked food, and inexpensive prices they really deserve 10 stars. This place is dirty. A huge roach crawled over to our table while we were waiting for our food. Disgusting!!!! The service is subpar and slow. Our server was gracious enough to discreetly smash the roach with her foot, grab a napkin to pick it up in and throw it away. She also washed her hands. But at that point everyone was ready to go! Then the ghetto fabulous hostess proceeds to come over shouting at us trying to determine who had already gotten there orders. It was disturbing how rude and unprofessional she was and the people who hired her made it seem like it was ok to speak to people like that. Throw the whole restaurant away.
