Friendly and welcoming hostess and ambiance. The parking lot was almost totally full but they have a lot of seating so there was no wait at 930 on a Sunday morning which was awesome. The waitstaff was nice and attentive with refills on water and coffee which is always very much appreciated. They have a big menu with lots of variety. The portions are big and everything was delicious. We shared the western omelette with cheddar and it was top notch. The home fries are different than what I've had at most diners. They aren't the real crispy variety of home fries and have more of a creamy flavor that reminded me of mashed potatoes. There's some onion in there as well as maybe sour cream and dill? Whatever it is it was good. We also shared a stack of banana chocolate chip pancakes and they were some of the best I've ever had. Sweet enough that they didn't need syrup and fluffy without being too dry. The bananas and chocolate dominated but the batter maybe had a funnel cake flavor which was really good. Got a side of bacon which was 6 generous strips that were cooked perfectly. The price was also very reasonable for everything and the service was really fast but not rushed. Padded bills! Good food! 12/31/21 breakfast at counter. Ordered Western Omelet Sandwich on Hard Roll. Menu says "comes on a hard roll". $5.99 menu price. Coffee $2.99. Cheese on a sandwich $1.00 according to menu. That would total $9.98. Sales tax .64 cents. Total bill should be around $10.62. Handed a rest. slip with one figure on it $11.99. No breakdown. Estimate overcharge of about $1.37. Minuscule amount but several complaints on different websites about overcharges. Ask for a itemized bill. When I questioned owner/cashier Mrs. Topciu, she replied - it's .75 cents extra for hardroll. Wrong! It's right on your menu - "comes on a hardroll". No use arguing with her, she has answer for everything. Also, if cash sale, she will not ring up the sale. She will just open the register and give you your change. This is done to avoid paying the state their due taxes. The customer pays the sales tax but the owner keeps the funds. There is a reason Mrs. Topciu is at the register morning and night. Nobody else comes near the register. Beware. If you choose to eat there, ask for itemized bill and compare all charges against printed menu. read more

They're charging 14-16 dollars for a sandwich?!?... What really annoyed me about my visit was that the waitress asked my gf and I if we were in the mood for a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. I happened upon this wonderful little restaurant after doing a dog walk with a friend. We were able to sit outside on the deck (to keep an eye on the dogs in the car) and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. The waitress was very friendly and efficient and even gave us soup to try when we asked if they were homemade. Great place for any meal of the day. There are always daily specials that are home made and delicious. Go here all the time for breakfast as I love their fresh blueberry pancakes and country sausage. For lunch their turkey club is made with hearty roasted turkey meat. Seafood is always fresh and the stuffed lobster is amazing. I also get the salmon that is served any way you like it. This place is not just a diner as they offer many different and healthy selections found at restaurants many times the price. The family who run the business are very friendly and aim to please. My daughter and I had a few minutes before her soccer game started at the soccer complex down the street. We went in intending to have coffee (me) and water (my daughter). We ended up with two terrific pear fruit tarts. So good I brought a bunch of the parents and kids back for dinner after the game. Food was average, prices were very high for a diner. I had the same experience as someone else regarding being overcharged. They did not give me a breakdown, just a total which seemed much too high. I asked to see the menu and saw that I had been overcharged more than $14. When I went up to question it, the waitress totaled it again and admitted she made a mistake. It is our go-to breakfast place (chocolate chip pancakes a personal favorite), our #1 take out place when sick (All their soups are homemade and excellent), and one of our favorite lunch places (chicken salad club another personal favorite). I gave one star because I could not do no stars. We walked in had 4 adults and 2 children. Had to wait 5 minutes for a hostess to even come over and ask to sit us when about 6 to 7 waitresses looked right at us and walked by. Once we were seated there was 2 menus on the table and the waitress did not bring over any more. We got waters pretty quickly although they forgot the lemon I requested. I just want to say that I was in the diner on Sunday afternoon and what a DISASTER it was.......apparently a party had just walked out before we got there because as we were sitting there ALL of the waitresses were getting yelled at by the owners daughter and my party was SO uncomfortable that we would have walked out if we didn't already place our order. I can HONESTLY say that I felt SO bad for those employees which probably NEED their jobs so they take that abuse!!!! As the owner OR the owners daughter IF you have a problem with 1 or all of your employees you take it to the back or outside and NOT where you are doing it so your customers can hear or see it. While trying to enjoy breakfast with my family during our first time here, a waitress started yelling and swearing at other staff. This continued for at least 15 minutes. We said something to the manager and overheard the waitress make a remark similar to "I don't care what they think." Upon walking out early because of our uncomfortable experience, the waitress was extremely rude and disrespectful to my family. My husband and I discovered this place a couple weeks ago. We stopped in for breakfast. First off the coffee is delicious. I had the special of smokes salmon eggs benedict and it was sooooo good! The cornbeef hash is the best that I have ever had. My husbands eggs and french toast we also very good too! Menu clearly states"breakfast all day" but not really, waited 45 minutes to get a small stack of pancakes, and when it became painfully obvious that the delay was extreme, I was told that the grill had to be cleaned ( attitude from waitress was basically we ordered a breakfast at 2 pm, so our fault, not theirs ). Offered refills on the sodas, my daughter ended up getting 2 refills with the delay!! Finally get the check, figured they would COMP the sodas, seeing she didn't deem it necessary or in good faith to offer the pancakes or the home fries on some kind of discount for the fact we pretty much ate our meals separately. Charged for FIVE sodas, and the 11. 95 special I ordered ( to which the waitress asked if I wanted THE soup or THE salad ) was billed at 14.95, with a charge for the salad!! Ok, so this should probably be a 3.5 star review, but until yelp lets us do 1/2 stars, I'll give it a 3. My wife and I went her for breakfast. I had the turkey reuben with fries (yes, for breakfast). The reuben was probably one of the better that I have had (not my favorite, but definitely top 3). The menu is pretty substantial and we'll definitely be back to try them out for dinner one night soon. read more
