It's super run down. To start, you seat yourself. Our waitress was an older woman in her 60's or 70's serving 15-17 people by herself. Took her about 10 mins to just get our drinks. People were walking out because the drinks were taking a while . The scenery is a bunch of truckers eating their food. Food didn't take long to get but it was very disappointing. I wasn't expecting much based on the length of time it took to get our drinks . My food was bland and although the burger I ordered came with fried jalapeños...they were not fried. My fries were almost cold and my glass was not clean. Country Pride definitely needs to step this place up. Your best bet is to go to one of the restaurants near by or try the food near the fuel island.

It's located inside of the Knights Inn at the TA truck stop. With options very limited during the late night hours it's a decent place to stop in. If you come in don't expect a 5 star meal. You can however expect great conversation from the waitresses. The food is decent for the price. Make sure chef Jeff is in the kitchen and your food will be good each time. You are hit or miss with anyone else. Oh and I would stay away from the salad bar.

Really messed up place with disgusting servers. I walked in sit down and they brought me water in dirty glass and ask for lemon than funny thing they brought me lemons on nepkin. As soon server reach me napkin ripped and lemons fell on the floor. This place is joke. Also they shut down buffet 9pm. But server is telling me it is over at 10pm. Server will touch u food with dirty hands. At the end they will ask u if u leaving them tip for their poor service. I will love to give them negative stars if I have the option. Seriously I will never eat at country pride resturant on this location.

We started with the fried calamari. The breading was light and the calamari was very tender. It was probably one of the best calamari appetizers we have had out of dozens of restaurants we have been to. For the main dishes, we had the rattlesnake pasta. This is a pasta dish made with rotisserie chicken, mushrooms, red yellow and green peppers in a Cajun Alfredo sauce. The sauce was not too spicy with just enough bite. It was excellent. I don't usually care for mushrooms but this dish was amazing. The portion sizes were huge. Enough, that we were able to make another meal for the two of us with the leftovers. For dessert we had the cheesecake with oreo cookie crust. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. She was helpful with suggestions. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and spacious. It is decorated with beautiful wood trim. The booths can easily sit six people each. The dining area is huge. I estimate that it can sit anywhere from two hundred to three hundred if not more guests. Soothing music was played throughout the restaurant. There is a bar serving mixed drinks and beer as well as soft drinks. The restrooms are spotless and just as beautiful as the rest of the restaurant. The rotisserie chicken is made fresh and cooked in a rotisserie pit right next to the kitchen. We will be going back with family to try their prime rib. Prices are slightly above average but warranted. You are paying for an elevated dining experience with both the food quality and ambiance. There is ample parking in a large parking lot. The restaurant also offers a separate dining area for special events with outdoor dining. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

Oddly enough, it was pretty quiet, but they do have the games on for anyone looking for a low-key spot to watch. We were seated within 5 minutes, which I appreciated. Our server, Patrick, was... okay. Not terrible, but definitely felt new to serving. We didn't get the rundown of the daily specials (yet overheard them being given to the booth behind us), and a few small service details slipped through--but I'm giving him grace based on his newness. One thing I noticed from Yelp reviews is that bread is usually served automatically. We had to request it, especially after seeing tables seated after us get theirs first. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. We ordered several appetizers, and honestly, they were filling enough to be a full meal: * Ribs - Flavorful, tender, and genuinely falling off the bone. The portion sizes were a bit inconsistent--some pieces were cut shorter than others--but the texture was on point. I'd definitely return for these. * Brussels Sprouts - Patrick didn't mention they were shareable, which would've been helpful. I did like the flavor, but in hindsight I'm glad we pivoted to... * Crab Dip - This one missed for me. The flavor leaned more tuna-ish than crab-forward. Not my preference, but you may feel differently. * Shrimp in Spicy Butter - Definitely spicy, but somehow still flavorless. More like spicy water than a seasoned butter sauce. The one bonus? They were served piping hot--exactly how I like my food. * French Fries - Hand-cut and tasty. A solid win. Unfortunately, everything except the shrimp came out lukewarm, which took away from dishes that could've been great. Temperature matters! On the drink side, though? Hits all around. The fresh-pressed beet juice was fantastic, and the sweet tea was also on point. We skipped dessert only because we were full, but I'm already planning to come back specifically to try it--along with the ribs and fries again. Overall, I'm hoping this was just an off day. Elliott's Kitchen has potential, and I'd like to see it shine on the next visit

But the taste is what really matters and Grilled Sesame Salmon didn't disappoint. Wow!! I thought British food was supposed to be flavorless. The Salmon was both sweet and spicy with the teriyaki bang-bang glaze. The jasmine rice cakes added the perfect amount of crunch and the vegetables were as fresh as they appeared. The pub side of the restaurant feels British with ornate wooden features and sounds of laughter from all around. The bartender are knowledgeable and engaging. Most importantly they made me a proper Makers Mark Manhattan filled to the absolute top of glass to top off an outstanding dinner.

I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! Cheers, JimG

They usually have reservations and larger parties, but it's a pretty open/communal space, so there aren't typically issues with seating. All in all, a great spot for many occasions.

The food at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Columbia is consistently good, and that's the main reason we keep coming back. Unfortunately, the service has been painfully bad on multiple visits. Long waits, lack of attention, and poor communication have made what should be an enjoyable dining experience frustrating. We continue to return because we genuinely like the food, but good food alone can only carry a restaurant so far. The service issues need to be taken seriously and improved. If BJ's wants to keep customers coming back and remain competitive, management needs to address the service problems, provide better training and support for staff, and create a more reliable experience. We want to keep coming back, but the service has to improve. The food is worth returning for, yet the overall experience is becoming harder to justify. Love the Meal Deals and desserts! The pizookies are a nice little dessert treat. The biggest drawback is always the service. Servers are pleasant but scarce, we often have to ask multiple times for the same thing, drinks will come out waaaaay later than they should (a glass of wine can take 30+ mins), etc. I keep hoping it'll improve. We would visit a lot more if we could depend on the service/timeliness. We used to sit at the bar to try to avoid some of these issues but last time we had to physically go across the restaurant and ask our bartender for silverware, after our food had been sitting there for almost twenty minutes. I'm sure these are fixable issues, and I'm looking forward to it.
