My husband and I spent a night at a friend's house in Wheaton last week and were in need of something to eat before hitting the road back to MKE. After a quick Yelp search for breakfasts in the area, we stumbled upon County Farm Bagels and I am so glad that we went! We stopped in at around 9am on a Tuesday morning and the place had people in it, but wasn't packed. There were also still plenty of bagels left which was a plus! It is a small shop and the employees seemed to know most customers by name (which I love!). I ordered a BEC on a pumpernickel bagel and my husband ordered the chocolate chip bagel. Bagels came out quickly and were delicious! I especially loved how much egg and cheese were on my sandwich. And if I am not mistaken, it was only about 5-6 dollars. I found this very affordable given the quality and the amount of ingredients! If I am in Wheaton again and in need of a quick breakfast, I will definitely be back! read more

I might have my frame of reference completely skewed because the last two bagels I've had were from NYC. These bagels couldn't compare to that tier of bagels. There was no bready aroma and they didn't taste that freshly baked. Definitely not bad - just your standard bagel. Single bagels are pretty expensive (~$5), but buying in batches seems worth the cost. I got a lox bagel and while the bagel itself was pretty average, the cream cheese was really good. I also tried my mom's scallion cream cheese and that was tasty as well. It's a good standard bagel shop. The staff are really friendly, too. read more

My first time there last week. The gal at the counter was very pleasant and helpful and patient with me despite the long line. I bought a variety and cream cheese. I originally planned to go to the "place down the street", but found this gem instead...I'm so glad I did. This place is like an ice cream shop, but with bagels. The front display is full of the various cream cheese flavors they have (and there are many to choose from). I was not adventurous today, and opted for the wheat bagel with plain cream cheese, but I will definitely be back here. To top it off, the staff is fabulous and friendly. I love County Farm bagels!!! An awesome, family owned local bagel shop. I was SO excited that they opened this second location in downtown Wheaton! In addition to a HUGE variety of bagels, they have a ton of homemade cream cheeses and salads (i.e. chicken salad, etc.) The bagels are definitely flavorful and range from cheddar oregano to strawberry banana. There are a couple small tables if you want to eat there, which I've done for a lovely lunch. In my opinion, the "yesterday's bagels" pack is the best deal--12 bagels for $6.25! You don't get to pick the flavors since it's just a pack of what they have leftover, but I've discovered some of my favorite flavors this way. The employees are friendly and efficient. read more

Bagels are on par with Best Bagel in NYC - which is saying a lot! Perfect texture and density. The cream cheese is also phenomenal and there are plenty of flavors to choose. I really wish there was an option for more than 5 stars because this place stays on my mind. I live in Chicago but whenever I go to my moms house in Winfield, I make sure to stop at BAGELS!! Omg. Such a variety, everybody who works there is super nice even though you can tell that they're super busy!!! One thing is, I would say, the earlier you go, the better. They tend to run out of certain flavors since everything is so fresh and yummy, but my favorite thing about this place is there is such a variety, that even when they are out of the bagel I want, there's still many amazinggg backup choices. I wanted to get a bagel with an egg salad but was turned off by the price since a sandwich for $6.59 plus tax is pretty expensive for something you can make at home. I opted for the cheddar oregano bagel since they don't have the normal asiago bagel, just asiago rosemary. The price of the bagel was pretty cheap for $1.15 each ($1.24 with tax). While the bagel itself was pretty soft, there wasn't anything special about it, nor was it as amazing as everyone claims it to be. I may come back to try other things someday but theres nothing they offer that can't be found elsewhere or made at home. They also have a $4 minimum credit/debit charge so make sure to bring cash if you plan on spending less than that. read more

BEST BAGEL SHOP. You will not find anything like it around the area. Firstly, I have been coming to the bagel shop for years. Close to 9 years now. I am a long time loyal customer for good reason. The number one reason I choose the bagel shop over any franchise is because I get to support a small business! I am all about helping families sustain a good life for their family, because I know what that's like. And of course the other reason is because I love their food! They make everything from scratch! All their cream cheeses they make in house, which are so creamy and flavorful. My kids like their usual. Plain bagel toasted with half strawberry and half chocolate cream cheese. And I like to order either the plain bagel toasted with cucumber dill cream cheese, bagelwich, or the lox. Just depends what the mood is. But those are my go to. I have been a long time customer of Country Farm Bagels in Wheaton until today. Mistakes happen in restaurants, after all nobody is perfect. This morning I ordered a larger order, specifically 9 bagels, most of which were my favorite jalapeño and cheddar. I live about 20 minutes away from this location so I sacrifice quite a bit of time picking up food for my family. After picking up my order and driving home, I realized I was missing a bagel. Once again, restaurants make mistakes and even though I was frustrated, I was understanding. I had also noticed that this order was much more expensive than others. I had ordered 4 bagels with egg, cheese, and a meat, and another 5 bagels with just cream cheese. My receipt included a 20% add on to my subtotal, which was already $54. When I made my way back to the location to resolve the issue, I was greeted by a disrespectful woman who insulted my intelligence and barely resolved the issue. When I asked about my missing bagel, they claimed it was in the bag and that I had been lying, even though I had brought the bag with me to show what I was given. When I asked about the add on, they claimed it was a tip for their employees which is charged on "larger orders." There was no sign in the store that said I would be charged an extra 20% for my order and the woman working the register, who happened to be the "manager" did not bother letting me know this would happen. I broke down the order for the woman multiple times. It was all written down in my notes beforehand and I compared it with my receipt only to be further insulted by the manager who, once again, claimed that I had told her different. This is the last time I will be dining with Country Farm Bagels. I am always understanding of mistakes however as a business you ALWAYS cater to your consumer and they failed to even apologize for the inconvenience. I have never been one to write reviews of any sort (this is actually my first time EVER), I think that may go to show how I feel about country farm bagels. read more
