This restaurant was beautiful! And service was great! We had Tully as our server and she was very kind and attentive. I thought the food was pretty good! Most dishes were a bit on the salty and spicy side. Not your traditional Thai food as it had more of a modern twist. Some standout dishes were the Singaporean noodles and the tom yum ceviche. I really appreciated how lovely this dining experience was.

I realized I never posted photos from my birthday dinner here last year, so I had to share! Coup de Thai continues to be one of our favorite Thai restaurants in the South Bay. The restaurant is beautiful after its remodel, and the bar adds a warm, modern vibe that's perfect for a special occasion or a casual night out. Our favorites were the Crab Curry, which was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and the Kaeng Rawang, with its bold, aromatic curry. We also loved the refreshing Papaya Pok Pok, flavorful Thai Fried Rice with Chicken, Gai Gor Lae, and ended the meal with the delicious Forbidden Mango dessert. The service is always excellent. Rain is incredibly welcoming and attentive, and she consistently makes us feel right at home. The entire staff helps create a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Great food, beautiful ambiance, and wonderful service--it's easy to see why we keep coming back.

This is a solid 4 star restaurant, but their Mother's Day celebration escalated them to a 5 star. Tully took really good care of us from leading us to our seat, taking family photos for us, explaining the menu item by item patiently, taking orders, refilling water, checking if we need to replace plates, all the way to finishing our visit with a check. Everything she did was friendly, kind and courteous. All the staff members including the owner wished us happy Mother's Day repeatedly. The owner also gave us a small gift pouch with a set of Thai coasters, a chocolate and a complementary drink card as an appreciation for us making the reservation early. Coupe De Thai is also not a boring Thai food restaurant; their menu has some tasty and interesting dishes. I was blown away by their White Lotus Curry that was a piece of crispy skin branzino fish lay on a bed of white creamy sauce that tasted very coconutty and yet not spicy at all. The round lotus seeds under the fish was de-cored to remove the bitterness. Very interesting and pleasant! I almost licked the plate clean to take in every drop of the sauce. Their Mother's Day special was a surf and turf pad Thai which was also beautifully presented and very delicious. There are 3 large shrimps and slices of medium rare beef steak on top of a bed of pad thai with tofu and ground peanuts. I love all elements of the dish and the sauce, sweet and slightly tangy and spicy was so soul gripping. The Clay Pot Crab Rice was another kid-friendly dish. It tasted light with lots of crab meat and white rice. The amount was sumptuous. We got here early and had the pleasure of enjoying its unique Thai style decoration without much crowd disturbance. The wall fish net decoration was a good topic for us. Their wine bar was beautifully lit and a nice background for pictures. Tully was also very smart to suggest us to take the picture before the crowd pours in. I ordered a zero proof Sawasdee Sunshine, which was ok but it was beautifully decorated. All in all, a flawless practice for us to enjoy a Mother's Day. Super happy that we picked this place and strongly recommend it. They pour their heart into the restaurant.

Came here on a Friday @ 6:45pm for my friends birthday celebration. I easily reserved ahead of time on Open Table. Parking is a bit rough, but we were able to find parking at the lot across the street. It was quite busy. There is plenty of inside and outside seating. We got a nice table right by the window. We ordered thai tea, calamari, dragon balls, sesame chicken, and pad thai with shrimp. My favorite definitely had to be the calamari. The dragon balls was quite flavorful, citrusy, and not spicy at all. The sesame chicken was juicy with a good crispiness to it. It was a bit too sweet though. The pad thai had chewy soft noodles but the shrimp was a bit dry. The service here is great and attentive. I love that they offer happy hour! Would come back if i'm in the area :)

10/10 yes I can't wait to come back here! The ambiance is romantic but relaxing, each part of the restaurant has its own set of details to keep the eye looking for more. Now let's get into the real detail! The cocktails and food! I came with a friend and we wanted to try a couple different things. We got noodles, pork that melts in your mouth and beef with veggies. The flavor profile was chefs kiss delicious. The bartender gave us some background knowledge to the cocktails as well. It's always nice to be provided a story behind the menu items. We sat at the bar, no reservation and on a Friday night, definitely for lucky. I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu

If you enjoy Thai food a bit more on the sweet side, this is the place to go. I ordered a two Pad See Yous: one with tofu and one with chicken. Then I also ordered the dragon balls. The dragon balls were not as spicy as I thought they would be but they were otherwise well fried and flavored. I was a little bit, disappointed that they could not adjust the spicy level: I can usually request Thai spicy at other Thai places that I have been to, but I understand their hesitation. The service was excellent, proactive, and understanding. When another patron gave up a table day reserved, they were willing to see us at a better table, even though we did not have a reservation. The ambiance was warm, well thought out, and beautiful.

Vibe: 4/5 Service: Food: Drink: Value: Handling of issues: 0/5 Coup de Thai delivery used to be very inconsistent, ranging from phenomenal to WTH (I once received rice in a plastic boiling bag, as in the individually packaged bagged rice you can buy at the grocery store). It's a bit of a gamble, but since they recently refreshed the restaurant, I thought we should give dine-in a try. The restaurant is beautiful, and the music and dim lighting are giving major grown & sexy vibes. We got there during Happy Hour, and I was stoked to see my favorite Lychee Martinis for only $8 each. And those were really good. For food, we got: -HH Tom Yum Ceviche (3.5/5): A very generous portion of spicy shrimp with very fresh sesame rice crackers. Unfortunately, the shrimp were not the freshest and had a slightly mushy texture. We didn't finish the dish. -White Lotus Curry (4.5/5): We're always down to try new things, and this dish didn't disappoint. The branzino was perfectly prepared, and the accompanying coconut curry was slurp-worthy. It was supposed to include lotus root, but I didn't see any on the plate. Still yummy. -Clay Pot Fried Rice (3.5/5): Although this dish was delicious, we were majorly disappointed. One of the reasons we chose it was for the "satisfying crispy bottom texture." There was zero crispiness, and I was disappointed with how it was handled (read more below). -Minion Banana (4/5): You can't go wrong with fried bananas and delicious coconut ice cream. Our server, Tully, was great, but I didn't like how the chef and the manager handled our rice issue. When we noticed our rice didn't have a crispy bottom, we pointed it out to our waitress. I asked if she could take it back and ask the chef to make the bottom crispy as advertised; we didn't ask for it to be completely remade, just cooked longer. She came back saying the chef wouldn't do it and that the menu description was wrong (apparently, no more crispy rice). We decided to keep the dish but asked to speak with the manager, who avoided the conversation even after our waitress reminded her for the second time. The lack of acknowledgment and care was very disappointing, which is why the rating is lower. After this, I'm still iffy about the food quality and care. But I'll be back for those $8 Lychee Martinis for sure.

Panang Curry with Chicken -- excellent.

Thank you, NAM, for an excellent Thai experience. I had the Panang Curry with chicken, which was the best I have ever had. The Mrs. had the White Lotus Curry, which was excellent -- simultaneously silky and hearty. NAM advised us since it was our first time here and she was absolutely charming. We will definitely be back for the award winning food (best of Silicon Valley), the swanky atmosphere (the restaurant is so on point), and, above all, the service. Big thank you to NAM for making our Tuesday night feel like a Saturday night! P.S. Don't be foolish. Get dessert. Get the coconut ice cream (locally made) and fried banana. It'll flip your wig.

    Just a couple bites
    Serena S.

Far from authentic and insanely expensive. Interior decor was done well and the servers were kind and friendly to a toddler we brought along. And the standout dish was the crab fried rice. It seems to end there, however. 4 miniature chicken skewers for an absurd price that could get you four skewers each the size of a chicken thigh, and the meat was tough too. Calamari was just a mere couple bites, not to share, though it was crispy. The curries were either super spicy or super bland, and meat and fish were dry. All the dishes were incredibly slow to arrive. While I understand this restaurant is slightly on the upscale side, the taste and portions do not justify its price of $30-40 per person.

Came here to catch up with a friend on a weeknight. I was able to find a street parking spot right in front and we got seated pretty quickly after getting there. The ambiance was nice with an upscale aesthetic, and the food was also delicious. We shared tofu spring rolls and I got the chicken pad see you. The spring rolls were refreshing and flavorful, the sauce it came with was a highlight. The pad see you was also great! I usually order pad see you at every Thai spot I go to and this was one of the better ones I've had.

The cocktails are next level creative, delicious, and unlike anything you'll find at your average bar. My absolute favorite is the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom shot! And of course, we always order the caviar because... why not? The vibe here is everything. Whether it's girls' night, date night, or a celebration, there's always an amazing crowd. The DJ knows exactly how to read the room and keeps everyone singing along/ dancing with banger after banger. One night there was even a live saxophonist who absolutely stole the show, it made the whole experience feel so special! I also love the Renaissance inspired artwork by the entrance featuring icons like Drake, 2Pac, Sade, and more. It's such a cool touch and adds to the atmosphere. Second Story never misses, and I already can't wait for my next night out here!

Grilled Pork Chop: bourbon marinated grilled peach compote, peach, red onion & tomato salad (4/5). The presentation was gorgeous. A Sous vide pork chop with grill marks cooked to a medium temperature. Savory and complemented with the tangy, spicy, and tart salad. A tad heavy handed on the salt for the sauce, otherwise, it was still delicious. Gnocchi Ragu: lamb bolognese, pecorino (4/5). The meat sauce was delicious. The gnocchi itself was sizeable and decent. Fries (4/5) - medium shoe string cut fries that were hot, crispy, and lightly seasoned. So fresh and right out of the deep fryer. Parkside Bread Pudding: vanilla gelato, pecan praline (4/5). This was delicious. Therese was told by the kitchen staff that they unfortunately ran out of the pecan praline when she brought it out. Every item I've tried has been delicious. The ingredients are always fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The cocktails are a huge plus (smooth, well-balanced, and a work of art!), the service is excellent, and the ambience is beautiful. Love the warm Middle Eastern vibe (makes me feel like I'm getting a glimpse of the culture). Definitely going back and want to try their brunch next! Pictures are some of the drinks and apps we had on my second visit.

Cool how it's located right next to Los Gatos Soda Works so we could just grab drinks next door after dinner. Design and ambiance was a nice blend of indoor and outdoor with plenty of seating. Lighting's immaculate outside with the soft natural sun coaxing around the redwood tree. Food's decent, not outstanding. Website says they're the same owners of Tamra, a restaurant that closed down a few years ago in Sunnyvale which we both coincidentally tried as well. The menu is actually pretty reminiscent of it. We ordered the pomegranate braised lamb shank, the confit duck pastilla, the date chermoula kufta, the Mediterranean trio, and a few cocktails. The unilateral thing that was missing from all dishes was spice. Maybe intentional, but the palate leaned into sweet and savory. The kufta was better than expected -- beefy, tender, flavorful, and great with the sweet & zesty sauces. The pastilla was the standout with fun flaky texture of the pastry and the nice warm shredded duck. The duck was seasoned well and was reminiscent of pork. The beet spread was fresh and light, the hummus was plain, the labneh was too loose imo - just tasted like Greek yogurt out of the container. Giving credit where it's due, the lamb shank was better than it was at Tamra. However, the flavors and textures all just kind of melded together so it lacked depth and interest. Had the familiarity of a basic beef stew. Onto service. Abysmal. It wasn't busy. Nobody there to greet at the door, wait staff just wandering aimlessly around, food's drop and go, took quite a while to get someone to take our order and receive our check. In a word, very transactional. If this was a pho restaurant or dim sum place, I'd be more lax about it but the service sure doesn't fit the market positioning of where this restaurant wants to be in. 3.5 overall for food. It's safe, uninspired, but very much decent. Gotta round down for the service.

All the drinks pair well with the wide range of food options on their extensive menu. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outside, plus several TVs throughout for watching sports. I ordered the Hop Holistics, a fresh, fruity Hazy IPA with a low 5.6% ABV, making it easy to enjoy more than one. I also tried the Alpha Dog West Coast IPA, which has a higher ABV and was another tasty choice, especially with my burger. I went with the smashburger and fries, and it was fantastic. Packed with flavor from the Memphis‑style BBQ sauce, avocado, and pickled red onions on a brioche bun. We were sharing it, and they even split it onto two plates for us -- a small touch we really appreciated. Only complaint was the bartender was NOT friendly at all. We felt like we were making him work. Definitely need to get someone that wants to work and not that guy! Despite this, we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and enjoy another brew.

We were driving to Santa Cruz on Memorial Day and it was such jam packed crazy peak traffic taking hours to move a mile, we decided to detour and take exit to Los Gatos. Now I've been to this cute rich neighbourhood city couple of times and enjoyed a lot. We parked at nearby garage. It was so damn now so loved the outdoor seating concept with play area for kids. My son loved running around here! Beer flight was decent, I didn't like any of the 4 beers given. We had pesto chicken sandwiche. It was not warm and tasted very normal Fried were cold and not seasoned well too. But it's great for outdoor seating and chilling with friends and family Self service , but good and drinks were super quick to arrive.
