Stopped here with some friends on a Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised not to have a wait even though the restaurant was pretty busy. It's in a nice little strip mall like building with other establishments around it as well. The restaurant itself is your standard breakfast restaurant. Nothing impressive but serviceable. The waitstaff were friendly and the prices were incredibly reasonable. Breakfast for 4 people only cost $62. Can't beat those prices! I ended up ordering a hot tea and the hash Benedict. The hollandaise was good and the eggs were poached well. My only complaint was that the hash was clearly canned (which makes sense with the prices being so low) and the bun they make the Benedict on was pretty thick. It's me again, we stopped there for brunch, I had the regular breakfast plate with a side of French toast. Came out before my first cup of coffee was done. Waitress was super awesome, the decor is just a small, quiet place to enjoy your meal. Also worth noting, you can get legitimate hash browns instead of home fries. This family owned restaurant has always been a personal favorite of mine. No matter which meal you decide to drop in to eat is always a winner. The menu is vast with so many options you have to keep coming back to try the various dishes. Breakfast is definitely popular with some ethnic Portuguese dishes available on a regular basis. Really good first experience here! The food is yummy, service friendly and my grapefruit juice mimosa was very tasty! My only complaint was our table needed to be wiped down prior to us sitting down and the ladies room looked as though it hadn't had a good cleaning in quite a bit. The staff seems efficient but maybe lacking on cleanliness. The decor is homey/farm style and inviting. I ordered crab cakes Benedict and my fiancé had eggs Benedict. Both were accompanied with breakfast potatoes seasoned perfectly. They have a nice selection of eggs Benedict styles. We'll definitely be back and try different items next time. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. My meal contained butter and American cheese after informing our waitress that I have a severe dairy allergy and cannot have milk, cheese or butter. She assured me that it wasn't a problem and that my meal would not contain any dairy products. She also did not note on our slip that I had an allergy. Thank God I realized the mistake before eating my food because it would have been very bad and would have needed to go my ambulance to the hospital. Will not be eating here again as the staff does not take allergies or cross contamination seriously and I urge others to avoid eating here as well. read more

We've been having breakfast here weekly for quite a while. Today we took our daughter and son-in-law, along with our 14-month-old grandson. The baby has food allergies, and the wait staff was impressively trained and answered all our questions. He enjoyed his breakfast (toast, fruit, and black beans), as well as the attention. I have never felt so uncomfortable and ignored. Josiah and try a different breakfast restaurant each week after soccer and football. We've been to some awesome places in Massachusetts and Rhode Island over the last few months. But we've never tried Courtyard, and it's in the same plaza as his soccer games, so this morning we thought we would give it a try. Upon arrival we were kindly greeted by an older lady and seated promptly by a sweet young lady. The menu looked promising, and the food was actually great, especially the bacon cheddar cheese roll. However, the service from our waitress was deplorable. I've never felt like "other" more than today. When our waitress came over to take our order, she did not introduce herself and started to take Josiah's order, then walked over abruptly to another table to take their order; no big deal I can wait. However, I don't appreciate being ignored. She came back in about 6-7 minutes to take my order. Once our food was delivered, our waitress did not check on us at all but, proceeded to check on all the surrounding tables multiple times. The distaste really set in the moment she put the bill down, RIGHT AFTER the food was set down on the table and walked away. In that moment even Josiah asked, "Did she think we were taking it to go or does she want us to leave?" Now making me feel uncomfortable is one thing, but my 8 year old son realizing something is off and feeling uncomfortable... not tolerating it. I even gave her the benefit of the doubt reanalyzing, maybe she is having a bad day or maybe she is just busy but nope. She continued to check-in on the tables surrounding us. One of which that was less than 6 inches away from us. She did not check in on us once during our 40 minute meal. I even tried to call her over to request a box and she walked right by me. The sweet young girl who had originally seated us eventually came over and asked if we'd like boxes. The older woman never came back to the table until I put my money down on the bill. I hate to have to point it out but, the only difference between us and the other patrons in her section were our skin colors. Due to my moral compass, I still tipped 20% but, Josiah and I will never step foot in that establishment again. read more

I've visited a few times and I've never been totally satisfied. Today was my last visit. The coffee was old and burnt tasting. The toast was cold and the home fries have some sort of weird spice or herb. The taste was overwhelming and made them inedible. I agree with the reviewer who said they should pare done the menu and cook things fresh. The food comes out SO fast - you know it's not cooked to order, but precooked. Delicious spot on Route 6 in Fairhaven! I was visiting a friend and we decided to stop for Sunday brunch. They had pumpkin pecan pancakes that are to die for! I also ordered a side of bacon and coffee. The pancakes were a perfect size without overdoing it and the bacon was perfectly crisp! The waitress was quick and efficient and very friendly. I highly recommend their breakfast. I also love their lunch items that I've ordered in the past as well! Definitely add Courtyard to your list when you're out and about in the Fairhaven/Mattapoisett area. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been going there for years (but not as many years as many of the regulars you'll see there any given morning). They won't seat you until your whole party has arrived and it's a small place so large parties can be tough but are doable. Put your name in when you arrive and the wait shouldn't be long for a small party even when it's a busy time. I stick to the same order on most occasions. 2 eggs over medium on a linguica cheese roll. It doesn't get much better than that. Recently we sat at the counter and discovered that they have coffee rolls that they cut in half, warm, and add glaze. It was just pure amazing. I'll be adding that to my order from now on. The eggs are slimy like mush. Seems like they scramble a ton and leave them covered for hours until ordered by then they are mush. Bacon cold ,ham cold ,I have never left a full plate and paid for it but this time I did. Would not recommend unless they revisit how to cook for crowds. Gordon Ramsay says, streamline the menu, so you can cook it fresh to order instead of having it set around. They have two menus to choose from so they are pre cooking everything and leaving it sitting waiting for you to order it took 5 minutes to bring scrabbled eggs, bacon, ham crepe and some sort of cooked English muffin to the table nothing was fresh or hot. Courtyard is my go-to breakfast stop whenever I am back "home" to visit. There is usually a short wait to be seated, but you can put your name in if there is a line for tables and I've never waited more than 10-15 minutes. I have only been for lunch/dinner a few times so I am much more familiar with their breakfast menu (though I did enjoy their cacoila when I went for lunch). My standard order is the Hash and Roll Benny. It's their version of an Irish Eggs Benedict (over easy rather than poached eggs) with corned beef hash on a cheese roll rather than an English muffin. I have to say, whatever you order, make sure it has a cheese roll. Delicious. The portion is more than necessary but it's delicious so I always eat too much. My friends usually get pancakes or linguica cheese rolls. I've never had a bad meal at Courtyard and the number of regulars that the staff know by name is proof of their return customers. First time I've been here and it certainly won't be the last. Walked in with 5 people on a busy Sunday morning expecting a long wait for a table, we were sat within minutes and the restaurant was packed. Ordered our food and it was brought to the table so quickly, we were surprised. Luckily the speed of which it was delivered didn't indicate the quality because it was delicious. The strawberries were fresh, the pancakes were fluffy, the bacon was crisp. The food was good and affordable. New favorite breakfast place! They have a full bar as well - mimosas, bloody marys, and hair of the dog. Courtyard also serves lunch and dinner so I'll be sure to check them out for those foods also. read more

Went here this past Saturday for breakfast. Girlfriend ordered a Mexican Omelette, I ordered Pancakes. Meals came out Pancakes were fine, but Omelette was cold. Caught waitress eye explained problems. She took it back. She claims they remade it again, meal was hot Toast was unbeatable like a rock. Stopped by for breakfast with my wife and daughter. It accomodates children, they have booster seats as well as booths. We sat in a booth and waitress brought over crayons to keep the little one entertained. I ordered a hungryman breakfast. Pancakes were terrific, fluffy and sweet. Homefries were good, had some spice to them. Bacon was crispy just the way I like. All around good food. Not anything spectacular to rave about but nothing to complain about either. Not greasy. One thing I would of liked to see would be more choices of pancakes, strictly plain buttermilk. Ihop has me spoiled with there fancy pancake creations. The atmosphere is typical of a small owner operated restaurant, will return and recommend. read more

When you have 2 little one and you show up at a restaurant and you have to wait because all the four seater booths are taken by two people parties, and the only tables available are two seaters or smack dab in the fray of things with 2 kids! Won't drive there again to have the same thing happen. Ended up going to the Phoenix Restaurant about a mile away. Got seated quickly and saw parties of two sitting at two seater tables. The food at least came out hot and the portion size was decent, but both our meals were relatively bland. Our server never came by once our food arrived to ask how it was. I also overheard the people sitting in the booth behind us complain that their food had taken an hour to arrive and another table got the wrong order.
