We have always had good service and good food. We go there for a lot of games that we can't stream and get at home. They have always been willing to change a TV if the game isn't already live. The food is good and filling. Nice size portions. The staff is always polite and friendly. We never have a glass go to close to empty and empty plates do not survive long. I stopped by here to pick up some food after a full day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Downtown Estes Park had a lot of traffic and construction going on, so I was looking for something on the outskirts of town to grab a bite. Cousin Pat's Pub & Grill had a nice vibe to it. I sat in the bar area and watched a game while waiting for my food. I ordered the Slopper with Chicken which is a chicken breast smothered in a sauce. This was probably the worst part of our trip to Estes Park was eating here. I ordered the top sirloin which was one of the worst Steaks I have ever had, Absolutely ZERO Flavor. We had a male waiter stare at us for the entire time like we were doing something wrong. It was So bad we got up and left as fast as we could after paying the bill. We also ordered drinks and it took forever for the bartender to get our drinks with maybe 3 people sitting at the bar! To add on this it was the most overpriced food I have ever paid for. If you are in Estes park avoid this place at all cost. In fact go to McDonald's they have better quality food and service. read more

Of course I would recommend this place. My husband and I come almost weekly and Pat the owner is just an awesome guy w a great restaurant with great food and a great welcoming atmosphere. It has a mixture of some Colorado vibes along with some beach vibes which makes it perfect! I'm sure I have some pics of over the last few visits of what I have ate. I usually get the Dante's red wine to drink which is my favorite along with a pickle shot lol I know weird combination lol but yummy! I have had almost all the apps and a few that are my favorite is the chips and salsa, buffalo wings (our fav fav) it's so spicy and we love it along w the house ranch that is my favorite because it's so creamy and has the perfect ranch taste! We also have had the mozzarella sticks another fav because it's so crispy and the cheese is actually the cheesy pull away cheese. Sometimes mozzarella sticks are also a hit or miss. But pats are great I have also had many side salads which I always end up eating two cause they're always so fresh and so good. It comes with cucumber, tomatoes, croutons and red onions and of course the lettuce which is romaine. I have also had the Cobb salad and it literally comes with everything but the kitchen sink. It's so huge as well. For main entrees I have had grilled cheese and fries (the fries I always get especially as an appetizer) they're the best fries ever. The grilled cheese was sooooo good. I have also had the house made tomatoe creamy bisque and that is my favorite to dip my grilled cheese in . I also have had the ham club again it was so delicious. On a toasted white bread with ham onions cheese mayo a few other things I can't remember. But again all fresh!! I've had so much more but off the top of my head that's what I remember. He also has two sides. One is a more formal dining and the other side is bar seating and some table seating. We always like the bar. He also has an upstairs kind of room with pool tables and so often singers come to preform. Overall I love pats and is the only place I truly go to that is in Estes where you feel truly welcomed. I got a Cobb salad to go without bacon and ham. What I got was lettuce with avocado and cherry tomatoes! See the picture attached. What about the rest of the ingredients- chicken, corn, boiled egg, spinach? Paid $12.50 for this?? I could've bought a salad bag from Safeway for a fourth of the price! Went here for lunch on Halloween 2025. In a word-it was underwhelming. The patty melt didn't resemble any that I've ever eaten and was on the dry side. This was the only joint in town open on a Friday night in early March that still serves food and would allow us in with our pup! Dani was our server and her customer service was the best! The wife and I kept it simple; I ordered a Philly Cheese steak and she had the house cheeseburger and they were both delish! The little bar/restaurant played modern country in the background. It has the great ambiance of a locals bar, perfect for Estes Park! We finished off the evening with some fresh Elk droppings! (Chocolate donut holes that you dip in caramel sauce). The elk droppings christened us and reminded us once again we were true Coloradans. This was a great little place! It was one of the latest places open in Estes Park and it was great food and some good drinks. Estes Park rolls the sidewalks up and most everywhere closed down by 8/9 p.m. which we chose this place solely based on the amount of time it was open. We rolled into town, had a last minute presentation as I was there for a conference and didn't have time to eat before. All 6 in our party were hungry and looking for a few drinks. We rolled into Cousin Pat's and the staff was friendly and very attentive to ensure we were fed and drinks were full. All of us in our group had great food and would definitely go back. Went looking for something opened late to grab food after visiting the observatory (almost 11pm). This was the only opened place still serving food so I was prepared for some mediocre stuff from a bar but was pleasantly surprised. The food came out fresh and delicious. We stopped here for dinner as downtown Estes Park was very busy so we asked some of the locals and Cousin Pat's consistently came up in their recommendations. This was only minutes (literally) outside of downtown so we decided to give it a try. Nothing fancy on the outside but FANTASTIC from top to bottom on the inside. As you enter, there is a nice bar to the right and the main dining room to the left. Great vibe (we appreciated their patriotism and the way they honored military members (in fact, they had a two-topper table set with a lace tablecloth and nice dinnerware that sat empty in honor of missing soldiers), friendly staff (David, our waiter, was amazing; friendly, attentive, fast service) and the food and drinks were great! Nice portions at a good price. Everything was homemade and VERY fresh (we had queso with what appeared to be homemade chips, onion rings, that appeared to be freshly made inhouse, and fish and chips. We heard from the locals, the fish is hand filleted and freshly battered before it's deep-fried (always fresh, never frozen). Our cocktails were also delicious (my friend said her Margarita was the best she's ever had!). Highly recommend Cousin Pat's if you want GREAT, fresh food and service in a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. read more

Driven by this place the last 4 plus years and to be honest always had written it off as a bar. Over the holidays noticed this place advertised Christmas and New Years Eve celebrations. We decided to stop by and pleasantly surprised. This place could be one of the hidden gems in Estes. This is a scratch kitchen with most of the items made there and fresh. They smoke their meets, some excellent BBQ sauce. A bunch of items that I'm looking forward to coming back to try. The patty melt was really good, my constructive criticism is the Texas Toast needed buttered and grilled, it was a bit dry. Otherwise an excellent sandwich. The Philly cheese was a bit different but good different. Cheesy, tons of peppers and jalapeños. Good sized, great flavor, great fries, hand cut, and I'm not a catsup fan so requested homemade BBQ sauce and that could be worth the trip. This review is months overdue but I was unable to post before as reviews were disabled. This was the worst restaurant experience of my life. It was a busy Sunday during Elk Fest, so I'll give them that up front. However, we were promptly seated when we arrived and then that was it. No service after that. We watched other folks be seated and then served, a.k.a their server provided water, took their drink orders, then food orders. We kept trying to flag down a server, and eventually one of them said "your server will be right with you." But nothing. My husband went to the bar, waited about five minutes and was never able to manage even eye contact with the bartender. We gave it a full 30 minutes from the time we were seated and we were never even offered water. No one ever came to take our order. It was like we were invisible! The couple that came in after us and were seated and served kept giving sympathetic looks (we were there with our baby) since it was so obvious that we were just sitting there, waiting for service and clearly being ignored. We ended up driving to Lyons to get lunch. I don't have one nice thing to say about this establishment. We were there because we were hungry and the other restaurants in town were slammed. I attended a wedding rehearsal dinner here with a large family (really 4 families coming together). The location was perfect for the casual but boisterous group. The kids all appreciated the video games and pool table I. The large back rooms we were setup in. The pizza and salad, bread, etc. we're great and just kept coming. Their margarita pizza was particularly delicious with the herbaceous fresh basil...YUM! I was really impressed with the bartenders. They did not have a dedicated bartender for the party room, but it was an easy trip to the main bar for everyone and the team behind the bar worked really well together and were fast an accurate. What more could you want? Estes is a very busy place in summer and the staff at Cousin Pat's really have it down. I'm giving it 5-stars because w3 enjoyed the food, we're impressed by the staff, had a great, pressure-free event that made friends of strangers and the games were just a great bonus for the younger crowd. We arrived in Estes Park around 11 pm... and everything closes early, even the grocery store! Hungry and tired, we desperately searched for somewhere where we could get a bite to eat. Enter Cousin Pat's. Like a beacon of light, the Open sign beckoned us to go inside. It was pretty close to midnight, but we were able to order food (tasty personal pizzas) and a Coors Light (because, Colorado) at the bar (they're open until 2 am every day). The owner/bartender was friendly and welcoming, chatting with the hubs about football and how Cousin Pat's got its name. The restaurant is larger than it appears and the menu is varied. There are specials throughout the week and a "happiness hour" from 4 to 6. Thanks again, Cousin Pat's, for saving a couple of hungry travelers... we'll definitely be back! read more

I love coming to Cousin Pat's every time I am in town. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. I got the shrimp scampi and was happy with it. The staff are very nice and this place does get busy so please don't be impatient with the staff. We had a great time dining and drinking at Cousin Pat's! We ordered the truffle mac and cheese with grilled chicken and poutine fries - both exceeded expectations. Super cozy spot to escape the cold and get a nice beer at the bar. The bar tender was super cool and knowledgeable about their drink selection, their "local pirate" hanging out was a nice fella with interesting conversation, and who we thought could only be Cousin Pat himself checked on us to make sure we were comfortable.
