I stopped by here to pick up some food after a full day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park. Downtown Estes Park had a lot of traffic and construction going on, so I was looking for something on the outskirts of town to grab a bite. Cousin Pat's Pub & Grill had a nice vibe to it. I sat in the bar area and watched a game while waiting for my food. I ordered the Slopper with Chicken which is a chicken breast smothered in a sauce. I brought my food back to my hotel and enjoyed having a hot meal after my long day.

Of course I would recommend this place. My husband and I come almost weekly and Pat the owner is just an awesome guy w a great restaurant with great food and a great welcoming atmosphere. It has a mixture of some Colorado vibes along with some beach vibes which makes it perfect! I'm sure I have some pics of over the last few visits of what I have ate. I usually get the Dante's red wine to drink which is my favorite along with a pickle shot lol I know weird combination lol but yummy! I have had almost all the apps and a few that are my favorite is the chips and salsa, buffalo wings (our fav fav) it's so spicy and we love it along w the house ranch that is my favorite because it's so creamy and has the perfect ranch taste! We also have had the mozzarella sticks another fav because it's so crispy and the cheese is actually the cheesy pull away cheese. Sometimes mozzarella sticks are also a hit or miss. But pats are great I have also had many side salads which I always end up eating two cause they're always so fresh and so good. It comes with cucumber, tomatoes, croutons and red onions and of course the lettuce which is romaine. I have also had the Cobb salad and it literally comes with everything but the kitchen sink. It's so huge as well. For main entrees I have had grilled cheese and fries (the fries I always get especially as an appetizer) they're the best fries ever. The grilled cheese was sooooo good. I have also had the house made tomatoe creamy bisque and that is my favorite to dip my grilled cheese in . I also have had the ham club again it was so delicious. On a toasted white bread with ham onions cheese mayo a few other things I can't remember. But again all fresh!! I've had so much more but off the top of my head that's what I remember. He also has two sides. One is a more formal dining and the other side is bar seating and some table seating. We always like the bar. He also has an upstairs kind of room with pool tables and so often singers come to preform. Overall I love pats and is the only place I truly go to that is in Estes where you feel truly welcomed. Wish I could give it a 10 stars

Cobb salad?! Just lettuce and tomatoes with a few pcs of avocado! Missing all the other ingredients like chicken, corn, boiled egg!

I got a Cobb salad to go without bacon and ham. What I got was lettuce with avocado and cherry tomatoes! See the picture attached. What about the rest of the ingredients- chicken, corn, boiled egg, spinach? Paid $12.50 for this?? I could've bought a salad bag from Safeway for a fourth of the price! We also got wings and pizza both were a complete miss! We all decided Mc Donald's would've been a better option for dinner in Estes park instead of going here.

This was the only joint in town open on a Friday night in early March that still serves food and would allow us in with our pup! Dani was our server and her customer service was the best! The wife and I kept it simple; I ordered a Philly Cheese steak and she had the house cheeseburger and they were both delish! The little bar/restaurant played modern country in the background. It has the great ambiance of a locals bar, perfect for Estes Park! We finished off the evening with some fresh Elk droppings! (Chocolate donut holes that you dip in caramel sauce). The elk droppings christened us and reminded us once again we were true Coloradans. So if your looking for a friendly place to eat late in the evening when the other restaurants turn you away, make sure to check this place out!

Food was okay. The portion size was a bit ridiculous this is what we got for a 17.00 sandwich, felt like a big waste of money honestly. Service was mediocre at best. Won't return.

Went looking for something opened late to grab food after visiting the observatory (almost 11pm). This was the only opened place still serving food so I was prepared for some mediocre stuff from a bar but was pleasantly surprised. The food came out fresh and delicious. Our waiter was really awesome too.

Local dive bar that's haunted! Mediocre service with your average drink selection. That's all you need to know.

Had a couple of drinks that were ok. Bartender was not the friendliest. Place was pretty empty for the dinner hour.

I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. Featured ingredients: Cascade, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, & Simcoe hops * Recommended adventure: hiking Black Lake, climbing the Twin Owls, skiing upper Hidden Valley." A perfectly apt description. I would summarize this beer just as they did, focusing on hops, citrus, and pine. Absolutely delicious, a memorable IPA in recent memory. I liked it so much I ordered it again and it tasted just as delicious the second time down! They also had a food truck outside, so safe to assume they do this often. Would love to try more of their beers during my next visit. Rock Cut, I see you!

I heard this place was amazing and that it's a must try in Estes Park but please if you have high taste and are expecting big city level quality, do not get your hopes up! It's not good!! Maybe I'm being snotty for coming from a big city (DC and NYC) so I need to lower my expectations, but I've had great food in Colorado so I don't think that's it. But this was upsetting. And I do appreciate the manager for being so kind because it was really a miserable evening. Starting off we had a reservation at 6:30. So I expect to be sat at least by 6:35/6:40. We made this reservation three weeks in advance. But they clearly oversat people without reservations because we didn't get sat until 7:00. That was frustrating. We waited for drinks for about 20 minutes. They were delicious don't get me wrong. These were the highlight of the evening. The pear spritz and grapefruit margarita were fantastic. Loved. We ordered apps next. I don't know why they think goat cheese is a good addition to potato leek soup. I figured I'd try it because why not. Not good. And the focaccia? Two small slices for $4? I would hope that the waiter would've told us what we were getting because yikes. Why is there more butter than bread? We would've paid extra for two more slices but the transparency made us feel jipped. Now let's talk food. Took about 45 minutes. It's busy, I understand. But honestly I thought it might've been out earlier because our food came out lukewarm. Borderline cold. And talk about salt!!! It was like eating the sea. My mom and I both ordered the filet and were horrified to see it was cut. A filet. It dries it out! But yeah, there was no balance. It was salt on salt on salt. Gross. The waiter was very nice and so was the manager. They asked to take it back. But honestly it was just bad so we were ready to leave. They brought out two free glasses of wine which again was nice. But we again, just wanted to be done and go home. We didn't get dessert even though it was offered. Everything fell so short that honestly I didn't even want to try dessert. Again-- the food is bad. All extremely salty. If you like that, there you go. But the fact that it was basically cold? Yeah that's unacceptable. And as I said, grateful to the staff. But starting off not having been sat for 30 minutes after making a reservation weeks in advance? This was pitiful to say the least. Don't go here unless you want drinks and a beautiful view.
