I can't complain. I never had a problem at this resteraunt. There french dip sandwich is awesome. The staff is always pleasant and fast.

Went to Cousino's for a family dinner. Usually we have a good meal, but this time my husband ordered the house steak medium. It came out very well done and very tough. The waitress should stay until you cut into the steak to see if it is done or at least come back right away. I ordered a Tiffiny salad and asked to have no bacon and no tomatoes but beets instead. Well, I got my salad with bacon and no beets!! The rolls were under cooked and tasted doughy. Not going back for a very long time! I know you are probably saying we should have sent the items back but we had a pretty big crowd and didn't want to wait for another meal. Is it so hard to get it done right the first time? After all the restaurant is known for their steaks and how hard is it to get a salad right?? read more

I love this place..it has a great atmosphere. However, whats wrong with cocktail sauce and mozzarella sticks. I love it, it adds more flavor than just plain old boring marinara sauce. If its a preference to have something other than the sauce they order, just ask for it. To imply that is is sub-standard is insulting to those of us that like it. Your Grandma should be proud that you took her to a such a nice place. Your grandma does deserve the best in life. read more

Had dinner on Sunday, 8/4/13. Ordered a burger and onion rings and waited, and waited, and waited. The food was good, (how can you screw up a burger?) The snippy waitress said it was because we had an appetizer and a salad. I did NOT order an appetizer, nor a salad. The other person I was dining with did. So, the waitress could have said it'll be a few more minutes, but chose to look at me each time she stepped out of the kitchen and totally ignore me. She was extremely rude. Now if you go there and pay by credit card, save your receipt and watch your credit card/debit card very carefully. I did not leave a tip due to the poor service and attitude. When I checked my account on line, I was charged an additional $4.00. I am going to dispute this and give them an opportunity to return my $4.00, but I will NEVER visit this establishment again. read more

NYE 2014 - We had reservations at 7:15 - we were seated at 9 and got food by 10 - but they ran out of potatoes! No apologies, no discounts, they appeared not to care. Their menu changed with fewer choices and more money - we won't go back. Sad since its the only steakhouse on the East Side of town. They certainly lost their mom & pop hometown appeal. read more

Had a horrible time and one of the worst dining experiences. I spent 45 minutes waiting for a table. We order a couple steak burgers, fries and mushrooms. The fries were cold, the burgers were not cooked properly and the breaded mushroom were nasty. When we talked to the manager, she could not believe that the food was cold and blamed us. I have enjoyed going to Cousinos for the past several years and have always stopped when possible when in the Oregon, OH area. I have even made special trips from Flint, MI just to have dinner there. Tonight (7/3/13) I waited long enough for the one and seemingly only one waitress in the dining room to wait on me that I finally walked out. I'm not blaming the waitress, one person can only do so much. I ended up going to a competitor a couple miles down the road, had outstanding food and the service was second to none. I also sat there and watch the other patrons get the same good service that I got. Now that I've gotten to experience a local competitors of Cousinos I don't see any reason why I would ever go to Cousinos again. read more

stopped in on fathers day and was expecting some kind of wait but not approximately 1.5 hours. all prices went up and food quality went down. portion sizes were smaller than what price reflected. used to be my favorite restaraunt but now will probably never consider coming here again read more

We had a large party for 2015 new years eve. We made reservations a few weeks ago for 7:30. We were seated 1.5 hours late. Cousino's kept on taking walk ins ahead of our party even groups of six. When we finally got seated the service was extremely slow. It was no fault of our server. The server had our table of 18 as well as numerous other tables. There were 40 minute wait time for water and other drinks. We finally got our food at 10:30. They ran out of baked potatoes so substitutions were made. The food was cold when we were served. We asked for a manager. The manager made emphasis on the fact that they were overwhelmed with $20k in sales instead of the $12k that they planned on. It boils down to extremely poor management. The management should know the capabilities of the restaurant. The walk ins should have been turned away instead of putting the extremely extra burden on the kitchen staff and waiting staff. The manager took 25% off of the bill but that hardly made up for the spoiled evening. We did have to cancel our 10pm plans that night. Who would ever think more than 2 hours for dinner that we had reservations for. We have been to cousino's numerous times as well as had large party without incident. Prior to posting this review I wanted to email cousino's management but there is no email address on the website. Our party is very layed back and we are not complainers. However this incident is totally inexcusable. Our waitress was a doll even when she teared up due to the entire situation. The management should appreciate her for making the best out of their poor management. read more

My family planned a get together at Cousino's for roughly 35-40 people, called at least a day in advance to give them a heads up. They began arriving at 5pm. I was one that didn't get off work until 6pm, I called my family at 6:15 and to get things moving I gave my mom my order over the phone because they said the waitress was waiting til everyone arrived to take orders. I arrived at 6:45 and orders had not been taken. No one take our orders for food until after 7:15. From that point it took almost 2hrs for our party to get our dinners. I blame the evening solely on the management staff's ability to prepare for the evening. It was prom night and they knew in advance they had large parties coming in. We had over 30 family members and 1 server and that server had other tables at the same time. When I worked as a server in a nice restaurant if a party had more than 10 guest it was always 2 servers because customer service was a priority. In this case, 1 server with over 30 people at 2 tables and still working other tables in her section, management set her up for failure! If they were short staffed or were extremely busy then a manager should have been helping from the start, but they weren't around either. Keep in mind our party consisted of families with multiple children all under the age of 10 and at least 6 kids under 4yrs old. Image how happy hungry kids are and then image how happy their parents were when trying to deal with unhappy hungry tired children. When the food did come steaks were over cooked, my burger ordered Medium was dry as can be, and most of the family asked for to go boxes because they were so fed up with the situation and wanted to leave immediately or because the children needed to go. Even when the people that did stay and eat started our meals, the server was so frustrated she avoided the table and never came thru to ask how our food was because frankly my burger would have went back as well as a few steaks because of being over cooked. We had planned on getting a large family photo of everyone because we had a few family members in from California that we only see once every few years, that family photo did not take place because people left because of poor service and inconsideration on the part of Cousinos. FAIL! When our family representative talked with the owner, he received nothing but excuses and when I say NOTHING I mean absolutely nothing but excuses and a generic apology that seemed more like a slap in the face. I feel horrible for our server because she was set up for failure to start. Not to mention there was a party of 10 that sat down around 6pm and were served, ate, and checked out by 8pm... I took my wife out on a snowy January Friday night. Cousinos was having a special on Sirloin steak, which is too tough for me so I opted for the $28 dry aged New York Strip. The steak arrived and was oval shaped like a sirloin. It was tough like a sirloin, tasted like a sirloin, had the texture of a sirloin (not a dry aged NY strip certainly) When I questioned the waitress she assured me that the shape varies depending on how the chef cuts it. There was so much tendon through out the steak, I had to try to filet the meat off of the gristle and tendon. There was literally a pile of tendon and gristle about 3" in diameter left on my plate and the waitress had the nerve to ask if I wanted a doggie bag. When I complained about the steak she did nothing. By the way, the potato casserole is not what you think if you're thinking twice baked. There is a runny sour cream that is loaded down with a spice that made it inedible for both me and my wife. I complained to management via email the next day and never heard back from them. I expect a lot more for $28, and would opt for a chain steak house before Cousinos. read more
