I enjoy that Cousins is a Wisconsin owned company. I personally believe their subs have something lacking, but many other people love them so I'm not sure if maybe I'm just ordering the wrong thing. What I do know is that you can't go wrong with their cheese curds. They are fried fresh for your order, even when you order ahead. The staff is typically very friendly. I keep going back and I hope to one day find a sub that hits the spot for me.

Cousins Subs is a fast, nearby (for us) and sure fire way to cure our once-in-a while sub sandwich jones. Their basic sandwiches are AOK, but nothing to wow about. They have several choices of rolls, but the Italian is their default and it isn't bad. Unfortunately, Cousins will never be as good as Potbelly, our sub sandwich shop of choice and the place we'll drive to if we have the time.

I did not come here on the manager's best day, she was clearly having problems training a new register person while an almost new worker was only sort of helping assemble the sandwiches, and my order got messed up. Everyone has off days, but I did not feel very welcome. My order was corrected but I got the impression that they thought it was partly my fault. I think I was pretty clear when I put the order in, and really it shouldn't be my problem that new people need to be trained, either do that when you're not on the dinner rush or be very apologetic. The place is clean, but parking is a bit challenging, it's a very busy shared lot. I'm not sure I'll be back to give them another chance.

Simply the best Cousins sub I have ever had. The crew in this Cousins in the 7pm time killed it, good job!

There was no one in there. We were the only customers. Very talkative guy. We didn't know what to expect so we took a minute reviewing the menu. We went ahead and ordered two turkey sandwiches. Options for bread are white wheat or rye. Other than that, we were only asked if mayo, lettuce and tomato were OK. Gus is very friendly saying we are going to love it!!! So we sat down the sandwiches came out freshly done. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in building his sandwiches. My boyfriend really enjoyed his sandwich. It's exactly what he was looking for. For my personal review I wouldn't really say this is my favorite. It was just regular white bread stacked high with three slices of cheese, a ton of lettuce and a stack of turkey. Way too big for me. I would've preferred sourdough bread maybe some pickles and toasted? Maybe some avocado and other add on options so that you can build your sandwich..... And of course a lighter sandwich. I definitely had to take the other half to go, but I wasn't really impressed. To be quite honest i could have just made a regular sandwich at home just like this. There wasn't anything special. I wouldn't spend my money on something that I could make at home. For any of those that enjoy just basic sandwiches like this i would say this should be your to go spot to help support the owners. Hours are short so you have to make sure you make your way early. Again, I'm not taking away from the fact that this is a great lunch spot and the owners deserve all the praise and business. You can tell they genuinely care. There is plenty of seating in here. Also, while other comments were made, Gus, definitely thanks you for your business quite a few times too.

But once you know where it is, it's easy to find and worth it. I went in during lunch one day and it was quiet. The hours are limited, as they close early afternoon. I had a great conversation with the owners and cook, Gus, and his lovely wife behind the counter. I ordered the lamb gyro plate with the french fries - and Gus said, you can get fries anywhere, try my rice! And so he served up the rice and asked me to try it right then and there. I asked for my feta on the side, and again he was insistent I try it then. The portions are gigantic - it was enough for at least 2 meals. We talked about his background in ethnic cooking. I was impressed they opened up around the time Covid-19 was raging and they've managed to stay in business despite opening up during a difficult time. The food was good, the portions are generous, making it a good value for the money, I enjoyed meeting the proprietors, and I'm looking forward to returning and trying out some of his soups and other lunch items.

The lunch menu has a huge variety of options, which made it tough to choose. I went with the BLT on sourdough, served with a pickle spear and thick-cut potato chips. It totally hit the spot. The bacon they use is fantastic. My friend ordered the Sriracha Melt (ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, jalapeños, and sriracha mayo grilled on white bread), which also came with chips and a pickle. Immediately devoured. The salads looked incredible....the table next to us ordered a couple and they looked absolutely divine. Next time for sure. The adjacent market is a must-browse too. It's packed with specialty products and rare finds that you don't see everywhere, making it easy to walk out with way more than you planned. Great food, great service, and a fun market to explore. Highly recommend stopping in if you're anywhere near West Allis.

Food: They have a large selection of breakfast pastries, including scones, cinnamon rolls, hand pies, and more. There are also some savory items, such as a rosemary biscuit. It was a tough choice, but when in doubt, I go for a scone, and they had a Maple Cinnamon one. I had it warmed up a bit, and it was delicious. These scones are not muffins in disguise, which means the texture is a bit drier and more crumbly--perfect alongside a hot beverage. For my drink, I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte. I was hoping to have it served in an actual ceramic mug, but those are only offered to customers who order drip coffee. That said, they made a very good London Fog, with a little extra lavender and plenty of foam. For my taste, it could have been a bit hotter. Service: Everyone who helped us was kind and helpful and gave us plenty of time to choose the perfect pastries. When ordering the London Fog, they explained how they make theirs and how they would add the extra lavender, which I appreciated. As mentioned above, they do not provide mugs for specialty drinks, using mugs instead to keep track of customers who have paid for bottomless drip coffee. I could bring my own mug from home, but I am not a fan of carrying around coffee shop essentials. Atmosphere: The building is nicely designed on the outside and sits on a corner with plenty of large windows that bring in natural light. It faces north, so you avoid the glaring morning sun. Upon entering, there is a short walk to the counter, where you can view all of the bakery and pastry items. A menu board above clearly displays the breakfast and lunch offerings, making it easy for first time visitors. There are numerous tables that accommodate small groups, and a fireplace with a couple of upholstered chairs offers a cozy seating option. Even after filling up with customers, the noise level was very good, and easy to have casual conversations. A nice visit and a place I would enjoy coming back to.

OMG it smelled amazing like Mediterranean food. This was such a great combination. The gyro and chicken was super tender. The rice was cooked perfectly. The sauce mixed with everything well and was tasty. Overall this this super simple concept that works very well and how has no one else in Milwaukee thought of this and I'm sure other food trucks will steal the concept in time because the food truck doesn't have to stock tons of chip varieties which takes up space on a small food truck kitchen which is smart, let the customer supply the main dish. Hats off to who ever thought that they could offer an infinite number walking street tacos kind of a thing from a tiny food truck with the customers putting the time and effort to make their dish.
