I just visited to meet up with some friends and I was so amazed at this little gem hiding in the Stockdale Tower. It's zero-waste so there is a 50 cent drink deposit which I had no issue on for the size of drink I got. I tried the lavender latte and I could still taste the coffee and appreciated the not burnt taste of chain coffee shops. Next visit I'll try the golden latte in my own mug. Wow - so glad we found this place! (through Ashley Ann on Instagram, fyi) It's absolutely adorable inside and the two drinks we tried, iced green tea and iced herbal tea, were delicious! We didn't stay this time, but the atmosphere is peaceful without being boring - I could definitely see myself hanging out here Service was friendly and we thought the idea of a jar deposit was awesome -- we may keep ours because they're so cute and versatile, but it definitely made me think that I want to remember to bring my own cup next time ;) Our only suggestion would be to amp up the outside a little bit to make yourselves more noticeable and to draw people outside. The sign and the little tables are cute. Some black and white striped umbrellas would be perfect ... and some outdoor plants We knew you were located there somewhere but it was hard to find you tucked away like you are. After hearing about this coffee shop for a while, I decided to give it a try. After enjoying an iced vanilla mocha and great customer service, I can say that this is a place that I will surely be coming back to. The coffee was well flavored and the perfect level of sweetness, bringing both a rich flavor and good amount of energy to the drink. The only downside that I experienced was the seating arrangements. Though the seats were very unique, I found it disappointing that there were no tables made for larger groups. Most tables seat two people leaving very little room to host larger groups. In personal opinion, an implementation of larger or more elongated tables would be a nice addition to the store so that small tables aren't stretched to their limit in the amount of table space that they can hold. Otherwise, a great coffee shop all together! Very trendy and fun! read more

Just as everyone says, the aesthetic of the place is to die for! Many seats available, indoor & outdoor and a restroom which is also just as beautiful. The place was a bit difficult to find but well worth it, I wish there were more options on syrups for the drinks but what I ordered (brown and white iced latte) was so good! A super fun coffee spot for Bakersfield! They've got all the staple specialty drinks, but my favorites are their signatures. Their might sound strange at first, but they are super good. My personal favorite is the cloudine, it's an iced peach flavored coffee. Super good! My wife couldn't get over how cute it was, the staff was very fun and friendly, and they have many local partners from flowers to bakery items. We will definitely be going back! read more

I really love this coffee and would love to give 5 stars if their customer service was a little more "Friendly". 5 Stars for the coffee taste, 2 Stars for customer service. I have only been here twice and both times I dealt with rude employees/managers? Not sure of any names, who owns it, etc. Also, my latte was a little "Luke warm", I didn't even bother to go back to tell them considering the rude service I received from the staff. Sadly, this is probably the last time I'll visit, too bad because their espresso and signature coffees have awesome flavor. I noticed they sold product from Intelligentsia, not even sure if they make their coffee with it or not? Intelligentsia is my favorite coffee spot, but I guess I'll just have to visit their coffee shops when I'm out of town. read more

I'm going to be harsh, but only because they call themselves 3rd wave coffee. I am judging them on scaa competition standards. If you aren't a coffee geek this might not make a lot of sense. There is a reason the cappucino is a mandatory drink in barista competitions. You can tell everything you need to know about a coffee place by how they prepare this drink. The espresso was extracted well. Grind, tamp, tempature, pressure all on point. Shot wasn't bitter or harsh. Smooth, substantual, and tasted of of dark chocolate. Milk was full fat, but too wet. Properly streamed milk should have the consistency of latex paint and a rich malty flavor. This was a latte. Espresso and milk with a thin layer of foam. A good latte, but not what I ordered. Milk was also streamed hotter than I would like. Most high end coffee places do 120 F tops. But I have noticed customers in ca like it much hotter. Its possible, I suppose, they are bowing to market forces. Their few shortcomings will probably be overcome in time, and despite them, it's still one of the better lattes in town. I do plan on going back. read more

This trailer is the cutest ever! Its right by my work and I got to try it out the other day. Fast friendly service and the coffee was so delicious!! Location is easy to find. I love the succulents on the outside and the whole vibe of it is just my favorite part. I got the Salted Caramel Latte Iced. I was able to try the basil and mint and OMG talk about explosion of senses and taste! That one for sure is a must try!!! Ill be getting that next time for sure. I love coffee and have tried quite a few coffee places during my work travels. Cloud 9 is one of my favorite places to visit and it's definitely the best coffee in Bakersfield. People there are friendly and the drinks and food taste great. If Lemon the shop dog is there then it's just an added bonus of giving a belly rub or two while you wait. I typically order a hot latte (I'm a creature of habit) so I haven't tried every drink on their menu but the espresso and drip coffee have me driving out of my way to get a cup whenever I'm remotely close to their location. read more

I came here to get a cold brew and toast a week ago since the truck is near my office. The cold brew was good but (and this is a really minor preference) I wish that there was raw sugar as an option for the sweetener. The toast I ordered had avocado and salsa on it. It was also good but not meant to be a filling breakfast. The real issue I had here was the customer service. Both women that were working there were friendly and polite but while I was waiting for my toast, I overheard a conversation they were having about Minor in Possession charges on their records (or that of a friends). It was a pretty loud conversation and maybe I'm being a bit picky about this, but that isn't the most appropriate topic for the work environment, especially when you are serving a wide age range of individuals in a business district. I thought that the flippancy of their discussion lacked professionalism. I don't care what people talk about in their off time, but I think there is still some expectations that certain topics are probably off limits during work hours. read more

I had Cloud 9 once before it closed this last time while they were still in the trailer. I liked it then and I had it the second day they had happened this time and I am still very pleased with the coffee my only two complaints would be that the serving size is too small for the price just my opinion but the quality is good and the reusable cups they sell are very pricey compared to a Starbucks cup that is bigger but I understand they are a smaller business and might need that extra money so I will be returning. read more

The decor is nice, the vibe is nice, but that's about it. The staff weren't very friendly and the coffee was mediocre. it's very very bitter coffee and took 15 minutes to get our drinks. we decided to finish our coffee on the road and asked to take the jar it came in. the man making the coffee offered for us to take it for free, but the woman insisted there would be a bottling fee. we took out our wallets expecting a ten dollar fee but were shocked to be charged $0.25. they were in all rather cheap and all though we understand company policy, customer service was not the priority there. we will most likely not be returning because you get a better bang for your buck at the other local coffee shops. read more

Love this place! I went from not liking coffee at all, to loving it thanks to Cloud 9. The trailer is super cute, as is their dog, Lemon! I typically get their mint julep, but have been recently ordering from the seasonal drinks. Turtle latte is my go to as of right now. Tastes just like the candy! My friend gets their nitro.
