Crema Cafe recently opened and it's a welcome addition to Bakersfield! The owners did a really nice job designing the interior space. It's modern and hip and looks much better than most strip-mall businesses in town. There are lots of tables and plenty of seating if you want to hang out, and they also do a great job with presentation. As soon as I walked in I was immediately and warmly greeted by the nice people behind the counter. Their menu has a variety of food/drink options without being overwhelming, which I appreciate. I had an iced Americano and the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich had egg, cheese, and turkey sausage on a biscuit. The biscuit was a nice touch since I haven't seen that offered at any of the other coffeeshops I have visited in Bakersfield. Not only did I enjoy my order, but it's also very reasonably priced. The sandwich wasn't huge, but I actually appreciate the option to get a lighter breakfast at a lower price. I get tired of paying too much money for more food than I even want. I got a breakfast sandwich and an iced coffee for about $10, which was awesome. I plan to visit again soon. read more

What a beautiful and delicious cafe! I stopped by recently with a group of buddies and everyone was impressed by what they had. I enjoyed my "Dubai style" chocolate chip cookie. It was surprisingly rich and filling. While I didn't grab a drink this time, I look forward to trying their drinks and finding my new favorite. The atmosphere is super nice. They have a beautiful primarily white and clean decor. It is evident their team puts a lot of pride and care into the cafe. This would be an amazing place to study or do some remote working. I am excited to have a new remote working spot. They also have board games which would be a fun way to spend an afternoon with some friends. I'm glad our community has another amazing addition to our ever growing cafe scene! Looking forward to my next trip to Crema! read more

This place is so cute. Loved the interior design and the vibe. However, minus points for not having any background music at all. It felt awkward ordering because everyone can hear you from how quiet it was. The staff were friendly and welcoming though. I wanted to order their dubai stuff but they ran out of the pistachio cream. I'll be back to try those next time. For the drinks, we got: - Cookie Butter Latte: this was so tasty that it was really hard to finish it towards the end. It was good but I can't explain it other than it might have been too much for me? Not sure if it was the flavor or the amount of cookie butter. I was extremely disappointed with this place. I couldn't believe what I experienced. First of all, each cup takes 5 to 7 minutes to brew, which I've seen before, so I waited. Before I realized the creamer was curdled, I had already poured it into my coffee. As soon as I stirred it, chunks began floating in the cup. I immediately knew something wasn't right. When I brought it to the employee's attention, she looked me straight in the face and told me it wasn't. I'm a 40-year-old woman who's worked in the restaurant industry before, and I know exactly what curdled creamer looks like. Don't insult my intelligence. They reluctantly offered to make me another cup, and I accepted. As I stood there, I couldn't get past the fact that she had just flat-out lied to my face. Meanwhile, my husband used the same creamer because he didn't want to be rude, and now he's sitting at home with an upset stomach. The coffee wasn't even worth the wait. Why spend 5 to 7 minutes brewing a cup of coffee that's mediocre at best? At that point, I decided I'd have better luck going next door to McDonald's. I'd rather eat the cost than spend another minute dealing with that attitude. As I was walking out, before I had said another word, the employees started making mocking hand gestures at me. It was bizarre and completely unprofessional. That's when I flipped them off and continued walking out. The more I thought about it, the stranger it seemed, so I turned around and went back in to ask what all the gestures were about. Instead of explaining themselves, they became even ruder and more hateful. I asked if my coffee was ready, and before I could even finish my sentence they cut me off and said, "Yes, and please don't ever come back." Trust me, I won't. I wouldn't come back even to punish myself. Between the mediocre coffee, what appeared to be spoiled creamer, and the unbelievably rude service, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My experience at this Yemini cafe was great. It has a nice, clean, and light aesthetic. There is a lot of seating available as well as power outlets, so it's a great space for people to come in and study or get work done. The employees are all nice and welcoming! We got a complimentary warm chocolate chip cookie because they took a bit to get our food out to us which I thought was a nice gesture. The sandwiches we tried were very tasty, especially the chipotle pesto one! I ordered the cookie butter latte which tasted good, but just tasted like a standard latte. New cafe in Bakersfield lessgooo ~ Crema Cafe is poppin! They have lots to choose from ~ coffee, energy drinks, lemonades, teas, pastries and savory options. The space is well-lit and tidy. The bathroom is clean with a cool mirror. Staff are friendly and service was pretty quick even with a decent amount of customers. Prices are fair and the savory sandwiches are a hot deal! I tried the Chai Matcha and my family had the White Macadamia Latte, Crema Latte and the Chipotle Pesto Turkey Melt + Turkey Pesto Sandwich. I luv a good chai beverage and this blend of spices with the sweetened matcha was unique. I highly recommend this! My family said the lattes were nice and creamy & not overly sweet. I stopped by Crema Cafe, a Yemeni coffee shop, and it was such a cute, totally IG-worthy spot. The aesthetic is warm and inviting, with the kind of vibe that makes you want to sit, sip, and stay awhile. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me right away. I had quite a few questions about the menu, and the guy helping me was so kind and patient. He took his time explaining everything and made great recommendations. I went with the highly recommended cookie butter iced latte (you can also order it hot). It was delicious! Perfectly sweet, but you could still really taste the bold coffee flavor along with the rich cookie butter. It was topped with cookie crumbles, which added the perfect little crunch. I also tried the Dubai chocolate cookie .... OMG.... SO good. Rich, chocolatey, and absolutely worth it. Great drinks, great treats, and amazing customer service. They were busy on a rainy Saturday afternoon and I think I understand why. There's nothing better than sipping hot coffee while it's pouring and pairing it with nothing less than the famous Dubai cheesecake. I loved my coffee, I think I ordered the cookie butter. It was creamy though not as strong. My husband had a chai latte and while it tasted good, his drink was a little bit colder compared to mine. The cheesecake I think had good amount of drizzle on top but I would I rather have the actual cheesecake a bit softer. Place was good for studying though, I like it had outlets for students. Yum!! Heard about this cafe opening in town and of course I needed to come try out their drinks and made it my mission to check it out. The place was soo spacey and honestly PERFECT for a study sesh or perfect for a meeting place with friends to catch up and hang out. I ordered their matcha latte and they informed me that a lot of customers have said it isnt that sweet and they typically mix in honey or sugar for them. So they said if i think mine isnt that sweet , they can add in some sweetener for me and i definitely took them up on that suggestion because it was just kinda bland? I was very excited to hear another Yemenis cafe opened. I am a loyal fan of another Yemenis cafe in town, so I decided to check this place out. From outside, it is quite unassuming. It is bright, clean, but overall does not have the wow factor of the other Yemenis cafe. They do have some Instagram ambitions, but their little IG set up was in the corner blocked by a table, which pretty much make it hard for IG selfies to happen. I ordered the macadamia latte and Dubai chocolate cheesecake. The latte was well made, creamy, delicious. The cheesecake had layers of flavor, pretty nice. The place was run by 4 young people, they were friendly and having fun. My only gripe was my latte was served in a plastic cup, when I clearly said it was not to go. Also the Dubai cheesecake was served, on a paper plate. As always, I never revisit a cafe that does not serve my coffee in a mug with coffee art. The price is roughly same as Starbucks, so they position themselves not as a gourmet cafe. read more

Randomly saw this place pop up on yelp & decided to go in to study! It's nice and bright with sooo much seating and it's nice because the seating isn't all congested together to maximize space. Unfortunately since they just opened two weeks ago, they said it wasn't working when I went in on 3/8, but they said they would be working on that. The drinks are a little pricy, $7-8 for a latte or matcha, but they are those specialty drinks at a store with a cute ambiance. I can confirm that the pistachio latte was so delicious! The coffee isn't too sweet and it's nice and strong with a distinct nutty taste. I really like that it they put a cream top on it too! My friend got the brown sugar matcha, the color was a vibrant bright green, but she said that it was a tad bit sweet for her liking. I haven't tried any of the sweets or baked goods, but the dubai cookie / cheese cake look so tasty... will def be back to try :) read more

This is the 3rd Yemeni coffee shop I know of in town. It's a cute ascetically pleasing space with lots and lots of seating. It's bright and fresh even though it's in a strip mall that is a little run down. Immediately I noticed that everyone inside was drinking iced coffees and ordering breakfast sandwiches so that gave me a clue as to the vibe. It's a cute ice coffee and breakfast spot with your girlfriend's kinda space. However for a coffee lover like me I'm skeptical of the pretty iced coffee with lots of bright syrups on the inside of the clear cup (especially one that is $7). To me it's sugar water more than coffee. But to each their own if you that's the kind of drinks you like! Here's where the 2 stars come in: I need to follow my own rule that I need to wait a while to go to a new restaurant or cafe. People Need time to work out the kinks of service and food prep. I walked in and saw the big menu of iced coffee but wanted hot Yemeni coffee not sugar water so I ordered 2 of the mufawar- Yemeni spices (like a tea) with coffee and milk. It then took 15 mins for me to get my hot coffees and others who ordered after me got their drinks and food before me. They apologized and said it takes a while To heat the tea. I saw the two coffees and one was double cupped so I knew they were probably really really hot but the barista didn't give me that heads up. I knew to wait and I'm glad I did because it would have scolded my mouth, it would have been really bad. I actually ended up waiting 30 mins to drink my coffee because it was so hot. I'd like to say I'll be back to give it another try but with other coffee shops I enjoy more, probably not. read more

We came on a sunday morning after hearing about this spot on tiktok and the line was to the door! However, the line went super fast and the cashier was very friendly. We got three things (all highly recommended!!) and took a seat. There are many places to sit, comfy couches to tables! Despite how busy they were, we got our items super quickly and they were all 10/10! My wife got the pistachio latte, and I got the build your own redbull, with coconut, pineapple, and cream. We also shared the half and half cheesecake. For only being open a couple days, i am extremely impressed. The total came out to about ~$30. Soooo worth it for amazing food and service! The coffee, ambience and service definitely gives this place five stars but their breakfast sandwich alters that. For the coffee, the cookie butter latte was absolutely amazing. I'm not sure if there was a bigger size for it because it was a little bit small but if there is, I'm definitely getting that next time. The employees were so sweet and kind and everything was so clean. Alongside my latte, I ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich, which I was so disappointed to see that it was a JIMMY DEAN breakfast sandwich. you can easily tell that it's microwavable food and I want to say I paid around five or six dollars for it. Cute little place off California near the wood fire pizza place! We came in on a Saturday around 3pm and it wasn't too busy. The staff were really nice and learning the ropes of the new bizz... I got the cookie butter latte and hubby got the peach refresher. Both were great! I got family the macadamia toffee late and the matcha chai latte. They enjoyed the matcha chair better. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the coffee is here. Holy cow. I haven't had a coffee this good in several months. Yemeni coffee is so flavorful and bold. If youre a coffee enthusiast definitely try their Mofawar coffee or if you want something more sweet try their Macadamia toffee iced coffee. Came here with my dog (asked permission first) and tried their ice brown sugar matcha latte which was really good and their strawberry crumble muffin warmed up. It was so cute inside and the service was fast at the time I went I prefer this locations matcha over mokhamena's matcha only because it wasn't overbearingly sweet. I do have a sweet tooth but I also still like my drinks at like a 65/75% sweetness ratio which Crema cafe was able to do naturally I didn't ask them to tone down my drink. I want to try more stuff from their menu but we only stayed briefly because I had my puppy. read more

Stopped in to get an iced coffee but saw that they offered lemonade and green tea so I asked for a mix of both. I was pleasantly surprised to see them muddle fresh lemons to make the lemonade and the drink was tart and refreshing, not too sweet. I will be back to try everything on the menu. This coffee shop is awesome! It looks super pretty inside. Nice lights, cool decorations, comfy seats, and everything feels warm and relaxing. Perfect for pictures too! The coffee is really good. Unfortunately if you're lactose intolerant or have a dairy allergy like me they aren't very good at communicating what's in their drinks. Regardless of me asking if a certain drink has dairy and them saying it doesn't the coffee still came with soft top foam. Luckily I caught it right away or it would have been bad... I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was because it was busy that day, but I don't know if I'll be back when there's other coffee shops around. read more

My husband and I found this coffee shop while visiting from Los Angeles. I'll admit we're a bit boujee when it comes to coffee. That said, this shop is a definite MUST for all of you coffee lovers! Personally, I do like a good mocha. Unfortunately, they only have white mocha, so I tried the Macadamia Toffee Latte and I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the flavorful foam on top!
