When you put in your information, they don't give a quote, they text you to set up a time to come to your house, and then they won't take no for an answer. Temp Control is under new ownership. The new company installed my last HVAC. The technicians are always great. They used to be excellent as other reviews may attest to. I was a customer for many years including installation of two units. However, their prices have gone up while their service has declined. Recently they charged over $700 for duct work improvements that made no difference in air handling. Call for a service appointment and you will be lucky if they can see you for several weeks and if they have a last minute scheduling problem on their end, they will cancel at a moment's notice and may not be able to reschedule in a timely manner. Oh the most disturbing- should you have an issue and are dissatisfied, rather than trying to make it right, they will simply not do business with you anymore. They do not value long time customers who have not only given them a lot of business but also referred others to them. Perhaps it's for the best. But rather than be an ex-customer, it's better to never become one. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I hired an hen after Travis visited my home to do a job. The main thing I needed done was the condenser moved and I didn't see it on the bid before I paid the deposit so I text the salesman Travis as the bid was not very detailed and he confirmed before I paid a 10,000 deposit that this would be done and a concrete pad. Later they denied it but as you can see I have the text and him confirming it. They were supposed to replace all the duct work as well as put in three mini splits. After they started the work and took my money a few hours into it th salesman came in and said they were not going to move the condenser or put a concrete pad in and there would be no change in the price quotes. We have only had this system for six months and have had to call other companies to come and fix what they did wrong, we found old ducts covered by new ducts and the he mini split and hat was installed on one of our rooms are hey spliced the wires to much when installing and the wires melted together. Now I am having to put out over 1000 more to have this fixed as I know this company will not help in any way or admit fault as I have been trying to deal with them for many months now and they have had 35,000 out of me and even filed a lawsuit against me to force me to pay the last 10,000 because I told them I did not want to pay the rest until they finished the job I was quoted. This poor workmanship could have caused a fire at my home and killed someone. I am putting pics below to back this up as I have seen how much they lie and they will try to say this is untrue. For your sanity and finances in the long run I would avoid tempcontrol at all costs. We are a very hardworking family and this was a huge investment that has cost me twice this now newly because they are conning people. Don't fall for the nice guy approach they put on while trying to get a contract signed and a huge deposit. I have used Temp Control for both full system replacement and maintenance service. Everyone I have encountered there has been wonderful. They are polite, professional and knowledgeable. They explain systems and problems in a way that I understand. They have shown me bad parts that needed replaced and explained the likely cause. They have done what it takes to earn my trust. After encountering other companies that don't show up, are rude or talk to me like I don't have a brain, Temp Control is a refreshing change. I originally found Temp Control on Angie's List. They have received multiple years of service awards there and have high ratings across the board. I know there is a negative review here and it's unfortunate that John M. had a bad experience. My Family and I have been without central heat and air for the past 8 years. I came across this company though yelp, and saw mainly good reviews so I said why not give them a try. Long story made short...it was a very good decision. Eloy(the owner) was very polite, professional and fair. He explained in detail what our home would need and created the ideal package that would heat and cool our home efficiently and we couldnt be more happy with a job well done. As for the Techs that installed our system Dylan,Nate and Kyle....they were awesome and very professional. They kept me updated every step of the way and also set our unit up to maximize performance. I just had a new unit installed by temp control. The sales man was polite and professional and seemed very knowledgeable about the product he was selling. I have purchased two new systems from them and I like how I can work directly with the owner on the pricing, which is very competitive. Eloy is extremely knowledgeable and will take the time to answer all my questions. He is very hands on and available if I need more information than the technician can provide. This place is a scam. Guy came out to do routine maintenance check and somehow reinstalled the thermostat wrong. Didn't seem to be able to fix it. He came back out the next day as it was 83 degrees in my place. He was there for 3 hours and decided it was a $1500 issue that would take 5 hours to replace. You have to keep in mind the unit was working just fine before he messed with it. That night I called another company and in about 30 minutes he diagnosed the issue as bad rewiring. The original tech rewired the unit inside and outside wrong. The second tech for the other company saved me 1500 dollars!! I would hope no one ever has to deal with this company again. read more

My all-electric central heat and air was 21 years old. Although it still worked OK, it was inefficient and cost plenty to run. I began searching online for HVAC companies with a good reputation and a fair price. Starting with Angies List (www.angieslist.com), I narrowed down the companies I wanted quotes from to a few, including Temp Control. My first quote was from a large company well-known in Nashville because of its advertising. Whew! They wanted almost $9,000 for a 4-ton system. (My existing system was 4 tons.) The guy who came to my house was a nice fellow, but all he did was look at my old system and then work up his quote. I mentioned that maybe it was over-sized, but he said no, probably not. My second quote was from Temp Control LLC. Their man came to my house, looked over my existing system, and then went around and measured all my windows, checked the attic insulation thickness, and much more. All these measurements went into a professional computer program for calculating energy flows and requirements. I then received a quote that was more than 10% less than the first quote. His computer program also showed that I only needed a 3.5-ton unit instead of 4-ton. I went with Temp Control. They showed up the day of installation, removed my old system, installed my new system, and put in a programmable thermostat. No hidden, extra, or add-on costs, I had my new system running by the end of the day. Totally professional installation. Oh, yeah, and Temp Control showed me that I qualified for an energy efficiency rebate from both Tennessee AND the Federal Government (a tax credit with the Feds). Then they gave me all the paperwork and instructions I needed to apply for these savings.
